Food, culture, staff and grounds. Nothing
amazing local artists show , andinian music and sofisticated folkloric performance . Staff so friendly and kind . I felt like a very appreciated guest , having lots of relax in the middle of beautiful sites . Perfect for a quite and comfortable stay
Incredibly attentive staff, atmosphere is very relaxing, makes you forget you're missing Thanksgiving at home! No turkey :(
One of only a few nice hotels in the area. It's in a semi-developed area and really stands out in the neighborhood (think mud-brick building...then boom - nice hotel). Staff is nice, landscaping and buildings are very pretty. Didn't have time to checkout the Spa, but heard it was nice. The room was very roomy and well equipped, clean. Internet is so slow. Almost dial-up speed. I was pretty disappointed with that - almost unusable, and I was only trying to check email. Wifi signal also was barely strong enough to reach room - I had to cram into a corner to get 1 bar of wifi signal. Restaurant could use a bigger menu - and food was ok - didn't exactly match the quality of the rest of the hotel. Problem is that there aren't too many other places to go in the area. Breakfast was pretty decent compared to other hotels visited during our trek toward Machu Piccu.
Aranwa was truly a beautiful hotel/spa. We spent 5 days here and really enjoyed walking the grounds and finding new things to explore each day. Being located not far from Urubamba, we were also able to take day trips to explore the salt mines, Moray and Ollantaytambo.. For anyone who wants to pamper themselves, this is definitely a place to consider.
