Our greeting on arrival was not friendly and it was as if we were interrupting the person. There is no bar nor designated restaurant. They use various rooms to suit their needs and the business seems geared to conference and wedding trade rather than the first class hotel trade. Having said that the staff other than the snooty receptionist/manager, were actually very nice and helpful. The room was large and comfortable but should have had a sofa or some comfy chairs. Tea/Coffee maker would have been nice as well as mini bar. Breakfast was good.
Interiors, details and historic but cozy environment.
Lack of hairdryer in a room.
Feeling fo 1930's. Surprisingly good polish wine. Polite owner. Library. Private morning atmosphere.
We have arrived hen the kitchen was already closed, but still could get something to eat, and very good.
A CHARMING property with lots of natural light. The rooms are very spacious and bright. Comfortable bed. The deck outside in the lovely SPRING weather was just marvelous. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
The dining & workshop chairs were very uncomfortable - too high. If there were more comfortable chairs, I would bring a group back there sometime. The food was mostly good, but the Chef needs to educate himself/herself better about vegetarian food. NOT ENOUGH VEGETABLES DURING THE MEAL TIMES. The plates of fresh fruit and vegetables that were catered for our group, however, were excellent. The afternoon staff were very attentive and helpful (especially Damian). The morning restaurant staff need more training. Also, the office needs a more professional billing system than just illegible numbers scribbled on a piece of paper, to ensure a more efficient check-out process.
