The hotel is right next to the cable car station, with open views to the Matterhorn. Breakfast is brought to the room, and the ordering process is accomplished with a tablet in the room, excellent idea. When present, staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. The suites are very generously sized and equipped with everything one might need, including kitchen appliances.
There were rowdy guests (confusing the hotel with a REALLY loud disco), and evenings, there is no staff available; you end up with the choice to call the police yourself or to not sleep. Nobody answered the phone call to the number given upon check-in. You want a few coffee capsules? "No, impossible, the train service was interrupted....". Generally speaking, the hotel has issues with ownership, availability and accountability of staff. Even simple maintenance tasks: deferred, postponed, equipment disconnected rather than serviced. One might like it or not: the bathroom is part of the bedroom, which for quite some time in the past might have been a modern concept; in any case, I would have preferred a separate room as is standard in upscale hotels.

The breakfast was perfect and well organised. There was a laptop in the room where we could select the exact amount of breakfast needed so there is no wastage. We could pre-order the breakfast the previous day and it would be delivered to our room the next morning. Nothing like having breakfast in your suite or on the terrace facing the mountains. I would also like to add, the owners and employees were very friendly and kind. They were nice enough to invite us one evening for a barbecue and drinks get together along with all the other hotel guests. The icing on the cake would certainly have to be our Matterhorn Suite which was facing the Mighty Matterhorn Mountain. There were also other mountains surrounding the hotel with cable cars going up and down and a little stream down below. The view was like a painting and the experience was like a short lived fairy tale.
There was nothing not to like. Everything was perfect.
