that the restaurtant was on hand to have your meals I think it would help if you had fans or air conditioning in the bedrooms, also a wall fan in the bathroom when one is having a shower or bath.
all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Reception and restaurant staff were lovely and helpful. also liked the free wifi and good quality of buffet breakfast
Excellent location. The sheets left white fibers all over my clothes. I noticed that only after I emptied my beg on the bed, so all my clothers left this hotel coverd withe white fibers. That's also probably why i sneezed so much.
The smoking area is located directly in the area of the reception. Within 5 days the linen weren't changed at all. Cleaning of the room was conducted cursorily.
Location, Value for money, Parking next to Hotel, Bikers welcome ( motorcycles ) Very helpful staff. At 2am we had someone enter our room, my wife and I sat up in bed and we could see the light from the doorway coming into our room, my wife said " hello " and the person said oh shit and shut the door, this was not very good as someone else had a key to our room.
Excellent location for town centre A bit basic and dated.
Easy access from motorway. Nice rural feel.Easy parking.Friendly staff
the reception staff were friendly and helpful, it was easy to park and thanks to the sign on the roadside it was easy to find the hotel. the service in the restaurant for the evening meal was painfully slow and after a long journey it would have been nice to have the meal in a reasonable time. We got very tired waiting to be served between courses.
Staff very hepful and great breakfast choice
Staff, peaceful location, excellent service Breakfast.
The hotel was excellent and the staff were so kind and helpful we were very impressed. We had service far beyond the call of duty from all ranks from the restaurant manager the other staff and everyone connected with the Mercure Hotel in Zwolle. Many people wondered why we chose this hotel and why in Zwolle. We did not know the city or the hotel but we had stayed in a mercure Group Hotel in Rouen No it was a good hotel. We are used to staying in hotels in many parts but this one was certainly very good
It was well located for my meeting and very comfortable. The fact that I had to pay for internet access in the room.
The staff were pleasant and bright. The car park was gratis and our room was Scandinavian-style. The hotel is not in the center of the city. Our room had not the bathtub...but we cannot reasonably wish for more!
The Breakfast THe toilet ran the first night we were there ever 10 minutes for about 5 seconds and the roooms are small
Too expensive for the quality of the motel. The motel was ok but it should be in a lower price category and include brreakfast in the price.
Staff were extremely friendly and attentive and spoke very good English. Room service was virtually nonexistent first two nights (weekend) – bathroom was not cleaned, trash was not taken out, extra pillows remained on chairs.
Our room was very nice & the food was excellent
The Hotel and staff was amazing, the best I have ever experienced.
The room and especially the beds! The were perfect in one word The service was a disaster
Staff were very friendly and very helpfull Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I stayed for 4 nights and could not sleep at all. the maximum sleep I had was 2-3 hours. Also, rooms are very dark. did not feel comfrotable at all. Also, when I booked in this hotel, I made reservation for 3 nights with a room rate 165 euro, per night. I arrived one night earlier and was able to check in. However, when I got the hotel invoice I had to pay 170 euro per night not the booked rate 165
I cannot say I was particulary impressed. 4 coathangers for 2? Rip off breakfast. Hot room. I thought it would be more luxurious, but it wasn't.
The Hotel is in the perfect location, near station and center. The staff and service was very good and prompt. The room and bathroom was spacious and very comfortable. Loved staying at this Hotel.
The room (in the old building) was more than perfect! The breakfast is way too expensive.
Good service, friendly staff. Excellent value for money.
Friendly atmosphere, good room. No
Location. Easy access to city centre and rail station TV is quite dated I thought. I expected a flat screen. Internet access is quite costly offering FOC is becomming more and more common these days. Maybe an English stuff but Coffee/tea making facilities in room is always a good idea I think
Very friendly staff
We only stayed for the night because of a wedding party. No
excellent staff and food
a wonderful hotel, very grand
close to rail station. For the price we expect more
staff bath room was cold breakfast very expensive
Very close to the Train station and quite. No
nosy bathroom ventilator
The rooms are too small and you can understand what your neighbours are saying to each other.
It is definitely a quiet, relax and romanic place. I totally got a full refresh after the short stay over there. Thumb Up!
we liked the location No tea/coffee making facilites in the room or in the guest area
Environment is superb.Ladies in the service were helpfull. There were severel thing noticeable: Outer space and walls surrounding the Hotel was being painted thus heavy smell covered the room. No shower curtain was available leading to water splash everywhere. No fridge in the room. A few weeks ago ownership changed and many new initiatives for refurbishment and management were underway, not necessarily to the good of guests, but I believe after a while things will turn to normal. Of course construction work and cleaning work in and around the channel, just next door, exacerbated the situation.
Would have liked to check in earlier than 3 pm, but aside from that it was very nice. Newly remodeled inside , I think, as the rooms were nice, and the bath was great, with a tub and shower. The dining room was beautiful, with fresh flowers, and good food at a reasonable price. The decor, lovely.;the dining staff good. As for location, it is perfect, right on the canal, with boat for hire. or footpath for walking; plenty to see, with the lovely homes on islands, and resturaunts along the canal. an adventure in beauty is what i would call the town of Geethoorn. The hotel is very convienient to the attraction, which is the town. The stairs were difficult to climb with luggage to our rooms.
The hotel owner was very friendly. We checked in early but still she let us in a very comforting way. The room coupled with breakfast was definately worth the money.
Hotel very clean, Good breakfast with excellent selection, Hotel is right on the Geithorn canal where you can rent a boat. Rest. is closed for renovation until late summer of 07. Meanwhile breakfast is served in a modular building. This is a very minor point as the breakfast and service are excellant.
An excellent location close to the city center with shops but also close to the channelsystem with its charming houses. This family run hotel has a staff that really cares for the guests. We forgot some items when we checked out and the manager phoned our next hotel in Amsterdam. We strongly recommend this hotel when you travel to Geithorn. This little town is a fantastic place with all pitoresque channels and houses. Really the Venice of the North. The town without roads.
Great location; friendly staff; clean and tidy; great breakfast; easy access to parking and other facilities. For our liking the mattresses were too soft, but that is a personal preference. The hotel also seemed to be a thoroughfare for tourists with no connection to the hotel.
The setting was excellent, the rooms were clean and tidy and well fitted out. The hotel facilities were lovely, we sat out in the sunshine enjoying a drink by the canal at the back. The breakfast was superb.
Pleasant service, good food, quiet location far outside of the city Dalfsen (if you go by bike)
the location is great, you can enjoy the adventure on the canoe or on the bike
it was peaceful and relaxing, the grounds of hotel were beautiful, accommodation was first class. no
The setting was charming and the staff was very friendly and accomdating. The rooms did not have fans . During our stay the weather was warm. It would have also been helpful to have a computer available to use .
Modern hotel, very clean. Very noisy.
The rooms were a bit noisy, we could hear the neighboring guests (with children!) because of poor insulation.
Locaton & facilities, friendly personnel Restaurant quality not in accordance with hotel level, Setting quite nice, kitchen "average"
Quiet surroundings with lovelyl nature, main building with reception, restaurants, lobby and terrace beatifully designed and situated. Very worth its price. .The whole establishmwent seemed a little worn (except the main building). A long way to drag the luggage from the parking place to the proper building (not allowed to take the car inside the hotel grounds for unloading).
surrounding area is beutiful and convenient for real, good rest after busy week.....
the staff is excellent, kind and helpful! decoration of the restaurant no
The owners were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and had lots of suggestions for places to visit. The meals were excellent and even a last-minute order for vegetarian food was no problem. Just a lovely place to stay. There was nothing we did not like
Was not close to any other major cities nor were places open in Giethoorn late into the day.
Manager was very good and the food was excellent
The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were excellent. Location was perfect for exporing the area. Dinning room food was excellent.
Really friendly hotel, staff wanting to help. Boat hire gave extra incentive to stay longer. Good quality food
We were made welcome from the minute we entered the Hotel, everyone went out of their way to accommodate us, we were given information, maps, weather forecasts and anything we asked for. Generally this is a first class hotel with first class treatment. I would not say that I did not like the breakfast but I think their could have been a more varied selection, there was only one juice, two cereals, one yogurt and no toaster for scrambled eggs on toast!!!!
Small and simple hotel with excellent staff -- very friendly, very helpful. Fine hotel for a short stay. The breakfast was inadequate: the coffee we got served was lukewarm and the toast was old. The scrambled egg was great, even though there was very little left when we had breakfast and nothing was resupplied.
No hay plabras.Fantastico. Highly recommended. Giethorn is after Amsterdam the most touristic village in Netherlands (1 million per year) but is only known in Netherlands -only 20% are foreigners- so we should discover it !!!. The hotel is really great .... you can rent bicycles and electrical boats there. The rooms are very big, all new and nice. 10 over 10. No tengo ninguna.
Good service, nice Grandpa
front of hotel covered with scaffolding and screens - not the most welcoming sight on arrival. Work has to be done but there should be some recognition of this in rates charged.
Service excellent! Restaurant and breakfast awful!
Staff were excellent, probably the best I've expereienced. Without asking they solved many of our problems such as high chairs and shipping some forgotten items to our next hotel. A+++ Be warned there isn't an elevator which can be an issue if you can't do stairs though there are only two stories. They let us park our stroller on the main floor so we wouldn't have to haul it up and down.
Excellent service! Very nice and thoughtful staff. Compliments to the team!
The Comfort of the bed was excellent, also the food is first class with an excellent menu choice I have stayed at this hotel many times and the down-side perhaps is the price, but this is now considered the "norm" in Netherlands
The staff were pleasant and helpful without being obtrusive. The room was stylishy furnished - and the breakfasts were excellent.
Excellent staff. Very good atmosphere at hotel. 10-15 mins walk from station. I would return for longer stay. Message re early Sunday breakfast did not reach Sunday staff. Request not well received but requested basic breakfast provided. Credit card machine did not work and had to pay cash as I had train to catch.
Friendly atmosphere, comfortable single room
Beautiful hotel! Staff extremely helpful and friendly, food fabulous, bed comfy! If ever in the area, absolutely stay here.
Breakfast very nice and close walk to 4 restaurants Needs more thorough cleaning, paint, yard maintenance, etc. and Immediately across (about 50 feet) from college classrooms and student population. Also, no lift so could be a problem with luggage and walking up steep stairs.
The large and well furnished room. Extra facilities such as washing machine and bicycle hire. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was poor. No choice of size and style of hire bicycles one of which needed attention.
The atmosphere is nice. It makes you feel at home. No
Welcoming staff, countyside location, swimming-pool, free coffe and fruit in the ground floor.
Surroundings, nature The restaurant, only 5 main dishes in a 4star hotel restaurant. It was too easy to choose...
Very friendly staff, nice big pool
What we like best about staying at Huis Ten Wolde was the friendly family who own and run the place, the delicious meals in the restaurant on the premises and the absolute cleanliness of the room. We would stay again when in town! Lovely view from the room which was in the back of the hotel, top floor. No, not really!
The hotel is designed as modern farm house, which feels great. Lovely library. Located in the countryside, the hotel is quiet & it's fun walking in the area. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room. The restuarant is very pricey, hardly a variety for vegeterians. Since it's remote - there are no real options to dine out.
the facilities are great, the room was nice and the bathroom is really good, the breackfast is really good and the restaurant for dinner is very good.
nice hotel. Good breakfast We asked about an extra bed, but it was denied. I cannot see why this was impossible.
Remote location - situated in the polder (an area of reclaimed land from the sea) - therefore nights are very quiet (and dark outside the hotel grounds !) Had to pay for WiFi - these days that should be free, considering the low cost to the hotel. (they have a high speed glass-fibre connection like most hotel establishments and many houses in the cities now)
Comforatble bed. Directions to the hotel given by the receptionist were not clear at all,and this should be improved.
Quiet Equipment under repairment. Should be quoted on booking.com
Enormous room with fantastic views The large shrimp I ordered in the restaurant were completely overcooked and tasteless. But the service was excellent
Room was not airconditioned and the window could not open. We had to open the door leading onto a communal balcony as it was just too warm. Also traffic in the corridors could easily be heard.
Great breakfast, nice large rooms, quiet although we were at the rear of the hotel. Helpful staff.. Dinner was abit expensive..
Very clean, well located, a good value for money, the restaurant of a very good level. not very nice smell around, not really much to do around.
I really enjoyed the standing of the hotel (for instance, the fitness room and the sauna). And also the ground floor which is really lovely and nice. We felt almost like home. The blankets were not perfectly clean.
The 3* star hotel tried to provide 5* service. For example, change fronk-desk check-in with welcome coffee. Room is spacious with good furniture. Food (breakfast and dinner) is normal and overpriced. Curtains in both bedroom and bathroom are full of dust. The room we stayed is a cottage which is isolated in the yard.
Service was good. Food delicious. Booking.com stated free wlan. Is only available in the restaurant and is not for free. The hotel explained it very politely and gave a voucher for 50 minutes. Is ok but not what was expected....
It is one of the most friendly and obliging small hotel we have stayed in, the owners could not have been more helpful and obliging which helped us to make this a holiday to remember and would recommend this to hotel in a beautiful area in Holland.

Very warm and friendly welcome from our hostess. The location was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The hotel room was impeccably clean with air conditioning. You can choose when to have your breakfast and the quality of the food was perfect. The hostess also regularly checked whether we were enjoying our stay, which was a very nice touch.
Nice site, good breakfast
The hotel staffs were so kind and helpful. It was on Sunday and was very difficult to get a taxi or bus to go to Schokland. But they arranged a private tax for me. Finally, I could visit Schokland in addition to Kampen, which are very historical and interesting places. The room was on the river side and I really enjoyed a fantastic view from big windows. The breakfast was well prepared and was tasty. I spent a lovely time with Hotel van Dijk in Kampen
(a) Pleasant location (b) pleasant staff (c) near my destination (d) good continental breakfast Staff "forgot" to open radiator thermostatic valves. It was below zero outside and room was very cold. Room did warm up fairly quickly.
Really comfortable beds. Superb restaurant
Friendly staff and nice semi rural location.
convenience of position of hotel mosquitoes!!!!
The staff were friendly and helpful, pleasant rural location but only a short walk or bike ride from town.
Dining area relaxing and beautiful views through wrap around picture windows. Service friendly. food excellent. About 1 KM stroll to town. no elevators for persons with disability--not unusual for europe
visiting familie in Dedemsvaart en Urk. The location of the hotel was about in the middle of those two places. no
Freindly family & good service Very good food
Price and free internet. Quiet location and very large room out of center (but you know that when booking!). !!! check-in closes at 11pm.
(a) Pleasant staff (b) Value Meal (c) Excellent internet connection and it was free
