When you stay at Sunstar Hotel Saas-Fee in Saas-Fee, you'll be in the mountains, within a 10-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge.
Pros: great breakfast, good location in centre of saas fee. shuttle is arranged on fixed times of the day to the ski slopes. Staff super friendly. Two great, cozy restaurants in the same building. style a bit traditional but that also makes it cozy.
Cons: the poolarea is on the small side (not enough lounging chairs for exemple) and the pool was a bit cold.
Pros: Staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a nice reception and bar area and the manager has a welcome drink with you to pass key information. The hotel is close to the bus terminal...only a couple of minutes walk. As with other Sunstars you get a free minibar that includes water, soft drinks and a beer. Breakfast is OK without being stellar. The hotel was able to provide a flexible 6 day skipass for only CHF 255, which is cheap for Switzerland...
Cons: Hotel is OK, but struck me as 3 star rather than 4 star. Compared to the Grindelwald Sunstar it is a more modest and traditional affair. My single room was OK, except for the poor mattress. Pool and ''wellness'' area somewhat cramped. The pool is a rather small affair, with a strange grotto effect at the deep end. Impossible for more than a couple of swimmers to use at any time.
Cons: Breakfast was very poor, they ran out of bread! Coffee from a canteen style machine
Pros: Nice staffs and good interior. Good breakfast
Cons: The steam area is small and not private
Pros: The location is perfect just within 10 minutes walk from the parking and to the lifts. The hotel itself bears a fler of history with preserved futniture and some items. Not big, but good spa. Good variety of restorans and cafes, apres ski right on the slope!
Cons: Beware of the fouth floor, the lift goes just to the third floor.
Pros: Location, facilities & traditional feel
Cons: It's a little bit dated & some areas could do with being modernised
When you stay at Popcorn Hotel in Saas-Fee, you'll be in the entertainment district, within a 10-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff.
Pros: The bed was clean but the entire room was filled with cigarette smoke
Cons: This is a 1 star hotel. Do not stay here. They claim to be non smoking but yet the room had cigarette smoke wafting in all night. It was terrible and made us sick so we had to leave. The hotel staff lied to me about giving me a refund and are shady to work with. Go somewhere else!
Pros: The location was perfect, right in front of the bus station that takes you to Saas-Fee lifts.
Cons: The room itself was fine. The problem was that there is after-ski in the club downstairs until 3:30am and you will hear all the noise and have all the smoke come into your room until it's over. I only recommend this place if you plan to be partying until early morning and don't plan to sleep.
Cons: The property also houses a night bar which stays open until early morning hours with loud music! I wish I knew that before making my booking. Impossible to go to sleep unless you like dance music and thundering bass! The property is a great choice for (younger) travelers wishing to combine skiing with night life. Otherwise, it is impossible to recommend despite the good location and clean rooms.
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: The nightclub is a nightmare. The DJ puts the volume up as he gets more wired later in the night. Breakfast let uncovered no tongs etc for handling food. Staff where noticable by there absence
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was as expected, clean and comfy. The hotel is close to the car park and the bus terminal.
Cons: Not a disadvantage for us as we didn’t mind but the hotel has a club in the ground floor and even on the 4th floor you could hear the music. For those to whom quiet is important perhaps another place would be more suitable.
Located in Graechen, Hotel Walliserhof is a 1-minute drive from Grachen - Hannigalp Cable Car and 10 minutes from St. Niklaus - Jungu Gondola. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is really convenient for a skiing vocation. All the connection is perfectly connected. Short distance to cabel car and has a perfect storage room for skiing equipment. The staff are really nice and efficient. They care about our feeling and always try to give the best help. I would like to thank Peter for his help to connect to our ski course, within half an hour he arranged perfectly the time and teacher for us. I travel with kid and the little one really feel relax and at home here. Around the hotel, supermarket, bars, postoffice are all within 6min. Perfect for traveling with public transportation.
Pros: We stayed 5 nights in the Walliserhof hotel, which is very conveniently located in the very centre of Grachen and very near skilifts and restaurants. The hotelowners and their staf were most friendly and helpful during our stay and made us feel at home. Our room was large and homely with a separate comfortable seating area. You can eat very well in their cosy restaurant and sit nicely in the sun on the terrace in front of the hotel. Breakfast offers elaborate choice and parking is easily availabe below the hotel in their garage.
Cons: The bed could have been a bit larger, which for a 1 mtr 85 person was a bit small
Pros: Loved the location and the room was very spacious with a nice view. Linens were lovely as well as the bathroom.
Cons: The owners, who are charming and welcoming, are heavy smokers. The whole building was filled with smoke until the late evening. Additionally, the WiFi did not work away from the front desk.
Pros: Everything perfect! The owner is very nice guy. The location and breakfast is very amazing.
Pros: Perfect stay for your winter vacation. I drove there so it was quite depressing. The road was challenging actually.
Pros: Location, kindness of staff. Amazing and delicious breakfast. Georgette was always very polite, helpful and full of attention to us any time. I thank her very much. Never seen such an attention, care and kindness for the guests.
Cons: Unfortunately a pub disco just beneath the hotel played music with high volume until 04.00 AM every night. So my sleep was unfortunately bothered every night. Anyway the director of the hotel took note of that to sort out the issue soon.
Pros: Amazing hotel recomended to everyone
Pros: The staff went the way out to make us feel really welcome. The owner was so warm. We return after a few days and it felt like being home.
When you stay at Hotel Allalin in Saas-Fee, you'll be in the mountains, within a 15-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include a business center, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge.
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and that any questions we had about the area were answered. Also, the food was outstanding. This includes both the wide number of breakfast and dinner choices. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was having to leave. It was like saying goodbye to family.
Pros: Best steak ever had was served at their own restaurant. Staff at the reception was helpful and friendly. Hospitality at the restaurant from their staff was great. My wife forgot the DSLR camera at the hotel. But they sincerely came down hill and returned to us in 5 minutes time before we left the Parking area. Honest people. Even after check-out they gave us free ride on their electric car. Best hotel and great people there. We loved it.
Pros: Bed, shower and location
Cons: Constant ventilation noise. Could only turn off the lights from my bed side :)...
Pros: Both the dinner and the breakfast at the Walliserkanne restaurant were fabulous. The location of the hotel is great, i.e. just a five-minute walk from the village parking and a stone's throw away from all the village's shops and other attractions. The walking routes around with all the panoramic views are simply fantastic. We are already planning our next stay at the same establishment.
Cons: Hard, if not impossible to say...
Pros: Staff were very accommodating and attentive.
Pros: The superior room was excellent with a really good bath and plenty of room..
Cons: Only downside is that there is not a decent boot room at the hotel, but one by the main lift. This means messing about when you arrive and leave to get all your gear in the right place. Ski buses are too small and infrequent which is a review of Saas Fee and not the hotel.
Located in Brig, Good Night Inn is connected to a shopping center, within a 10-minute drive of Stockalper Palace and Brigerbad Thermal Pools. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Planning an event in Brig? This hotel has facilities measuring 861 square feet (80 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: it was clean, it was well looked after, the service was precise and helpful, the breakfast was fine, and it was surprisingly comfortable
Pros: Great location, bed was comfortable, continental breakfast was tasty and had many options.
Pros: Comfy bed and good shower. Rooms are basic but spacious. Staff were lovely.
Pros: The location is amazing!
With a stay at Hotel Schweizerhof Gourmet & Spa in Saas-Fee, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff.
Pros: The staff was super helpful and friendly and they even let us go back to the pool after ski, before leaving and arranging a room to change and leave our staff. Dinner was excellent and really good value for money.
Pros: Found a free room when I decided to stay an extra night. Great breakfast, overall cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff (Julia reception)
Cons: Refused to let me use the SPA in the afternoon on check out day Complicated and uncomfortable shuttle to ski lifts: runs every 30 min and not on demand, last ride back to hotel too early, need to walk from lift to a pickup spot in town, old bus (some cheaper hotels in the area have better service) Light always off in hallways and on the stair case, have to walk in the dark or look for a switch Sauna too dark, even impossible to see the sand clock and thermometer Somewhat dirty and messy ski room with old furniture
Pros: Nice, fairly up market, very picturesque resort - good for (steep) mountain walks - though also good if you only use the lifts / local public transport.
Cons: Car free resort - main bus stop, bit of a walk to hotels (though they all have buggies).
Pros: Great facilities and comfortable room/suite. All employees are professional, friendly and efficient. The Restaurant is very good.
Pros: The room was excellent and the breakfast delicious !
Pros: Hotel staff is very attentive to my needs, location is perfect.
Pros: We had booked a room with a half board inclusive, however on our arrival we were told that the hotel offers the rooms with breakfast only, not half board. The lady at the reception apologized for the booking error via Booking.com and gave us a room upgrade and a bottle of champagne. The wellness area is very nice.
Cons: The towels and bathrobes have definitely seen better times, we missed a hair shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, the toilet needed to be flushed 3-4 times. Once we had used the towels for the wellness area and wanted to go swimming early in the morning on the next day, we had to come down and ask for clean towels at the reception (nobody picked up the phone after long ringing), which is not a 5* hotel standard. The breakfast was not that generous due to the fact that hotel was being only partially operated during the days of our visit.
Pros: We had a wonderfull stay in the hotel. The waitress remembered our facourite dish, the favourate coffee recipe and made all effort to make us feel at home. (please note in May it is low season.
Pros: Dinning, spa, area, equipments
Cons: Staff - arrogant, impolite
Pros: Family friendly + Hotel staff kindness + comfort
Pros: SPA area
When you stay at Hotel La Collina in Saas-Fee, you'll be in the mountains, within a 5-minute drive of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Saas-Grund - Kreuzboden Cable Car. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: Location is very close both to the parking and to the bus stop for the lift
Cons: Breakfast starting a bit late (8:00) but that is a super minor detail
Cons: Breakfast @8:00 is a little late given the opening times of the ski resort in Switzerland. Also, longer opening hours for the SPA would be nice.
Pros: The water in the pool was cold, so not possible to relax. Additional bed was not sofa bed, but was narrow.
Cons: There could be glasses, tea/coffee set and kettle in the room. The fridge is freezing the food inside and water in sink dint' escape well.
Pros: Easy access next to the car park. Comfortable room and beds. Good breakfast. Overall the spa was very good.
Cons: The hotel should make the jacuzzi the proper temperature
Pros: > Had a single room with balcony and view on the village and the mountains (Hennig), without breakfast; > Enough space for clothes, TV with plenty of channels, heating system working properly; > Bed was comfortable; > Very friendly staff; > Free shuttle from / to the Bus Terminal / Parking lot.
Cons: > Bed could be larger; > Wellness area could be improved (they had an issue with the heating of the hot tube and the swimming pool, quality of water in the hot tube was poor, sauna was good and spacious enough).
When you stay at The Capra Saas-Fee in Saas-Fee, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 15-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Pros: The Capra was stunning. Amazing spa, fitness, breakfasts and general quality of service was extremely high. The touch of cake at 3pm after skiing was delightful.
Pros: All staff were super friendly and helpful, the transport to ski resort is effort less. Amazing spa, top quality room and food. Breakfast was excellent. Couldn’t have expected more from a hotel.
Pros: Hotel is well designed with warm, modern feel and kids in mind. Staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly. The Lab which is the kids playroom is extremely good. We also were given a room upgrade on arrival which was very much appreciated. Rooms are very well equipped and spacious.
Cons: Indoor pool was cold on day we went to use it.
Pros: excellent hotel, good breakfast. thoroughly enjoyedd the holiday
Cons: 3 hours from the airport

Pros: Second stay at this excellent hotel. We broght our snowshoes and dog.
Pros: Loved it so much that we stayed a 2nd night.
Pros: Lovely hotel , very friendly staff and top location for skiing. Staff even made a great effort to accommodate my son's and wife gluten intolerance.
Pros: Beautiful design and great views.
Cons: The staff.
Pros: Great location next to the kiddie learner slopes and views across the valley - amazing sunsets from the hot tub! Kindly put a travel cot in our room for our arrival.
Cons: There was nobody in reception and after 20 minutes one of the restaurant waitresses came and told us that the room wouldn’t be ready until later (she didn’t check at all). In the meantime we had a late lunch in the restaurant of a burger and some cold fries. That evening there were no senior staff in the restaurant and service was a little farcical: first we were told that there were no child seats available, then there were two but they were reserved for another table, then finally we got one as the other table didn’t need it. Also serving staff asking each other where the menus were kept, seemingly no knowledge of the menu, oddly difficult to communicate in either English or German. Lowlight was the next day having to take down a bin full of used nappies as the cleaning staff had not changed our bin that day...
A stay at Hotel Touring places you in the heart of Naters, a 5-minute drive from Stockalper Palace and 7 minutes from Brigerbad Thermal Pools. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location is very close to train station. Instead of choosing pricy hotels in Zermatt, choose this one. Real value for money. Zermatt and Intelaken both can be reached with train comfortably.
Pros: breakfast was good- room was clean/neat.
Cons: room was over the kitchen- loud noises until ~1am.
Cons: I couldnt check in.
Pros: Great Wifi connection and friendly helpful staff!
Pros: The location was great, very close to the Brig train station. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is good. Great value for money.
Cons: The bathroom sink is in the room and not in the bathroom.
Pros: Spacious room with large bathroom and balcony. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good location near the station.
Pros: To apologise, the hotel offered the breakfast
Cons: Crazy music started at midnight in the hotel, it was definitely impossible to sleep. We show up at the reception, it was a party in the restaurant for the staff, the boss and his friends. The receptionist was laughing at us and we had to stay at the reception until they accept to find another solution: we have been relocated to another building in the middle of the night. Was it possible to plan that before ?
Pros: Convenient for the station, no noise from outside hotel, staff very helpful.
Cons: Quite a lot of noise from room above, late at night.
Pros: The room was rather on the small side, alright for one night but claustrophobic for a week. The standards of cleanliness and service cannot be faulted, they were excellent, though. Overall a very decent hotel, just too small for me.
Cons: Small room
Pros: hollywood shower to start the day, then great breakfast, terrific view on the mountains
Cons: not much...
When you stay at Hotel Europa in Saas-Fee, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 15-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge.
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, good location
Cons: Small bed
Pros: I was upgraded to a room with a view of the mountains. gorgeous. most rooms have balconies (I think). comfortable mattress. very clean. provided kettle for the room upon request.
Cons: the spa area is great but only open 3 hours. Should be open longer!
Pros: Jacuzzi Relaxing room Hammam
Cons: Tap water is not clear not sure if it’s drinkable
Pros: Everything was perfect, much better than we expected for a 3* hotel. We will highly recommend it to our friends visiting Saas Fee! More specifically, the breakfast was rich and fresh. Our room was very clean with amazing view (probably because of the hotel’s availability), the beds and pillows were super comfy. Large wardrobes were available, where we stored all our clothes. Bathrobes were offered for the use of the wellness area, which we used during our stay, relaxing after long hours on the slopes. We were positively surprised and happy with the spa, since we were not planning to use it! It helped a lot to relax and spoil ourselves. We also decided to have dinner at the hotel during our entire stay (including the Christmas menu) because of the extra convenience and reasonable price. The quality, taste and quantity was great! Very nice experience. Lastly, the personnel and especially the ladies at the restaurant were quite friendly and we felt like home! The hotel is not far from the bus station but we were kindly offered a ride upon arrival and departure. Fairly close to the ski resort. So glad for our choice! We will not forget that Christmas in Saas Fee.
Cons: Anti-slippery floor-mats could be added into the wellness area for safety reasons.
With a stay at Hotel Eden No. 7 in Saas-Fee, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 5-minute drive of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Saas-Grund - Kreuzboden Cable Car. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Good breakfast, helpful family staff.
Cons: Curtains in upgraded room smelled of old tobacco smoke.
Pros: Modern design in ground floor common areas. And clean, simple design in rooms.
Cons: Room was a little cold, despite mild winter weather. Only the bathroom had a heater, no heater in the room itself.
Pros: Exceptionally friendly owners. From the handling of our late arrival until the drive back to the bus station all was taken care off. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the breakfast features local cheeses. The little bus to and from the cable car leaves next door.
Cons: Nothing I can think off.
Pros: Newly refurbished, beautiful design. Friendly and helpful staff who care about your stay. Decent breakfast.
Pros: Excellent continental breakfast with good range of choices and different breads
Cons: Didn't appear to offer meals in the evening apart from set menu of starter, main, dessert.
Pros: The staff and the owners go - literally - our of their way to help you enjoy the time there, and to make the most of your stay. The rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean, as is the bathroom. Really good value for money.
Located in Visp, Hotel Restaurant Elite Visp is a 2-minute drive from Chanton Winery and 6 minutes from Raron-Eischoll Gondola. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Nice staff! I missed my evening train and called the reception. The staff told me he would wait until 11pm (lastest check-in at 10pm supposedly) Next to the station Comfy Reasonable price
Pros: The P2 bar is great
Cons: Unfortunately, my room was above the restaurant. There was a lot of noise like furniture moving around on the floor until 11pm and the noise starts again at 6am. No chance to get to bed early and have a quiet sleep.
Pros: Location extremely near the train station. The room was modern n clean with ample size. The double pillow and mattress were comfortable - the best so far among the 5 hotels that we stayed in our 10 days Swiss trip. Wi fi was excellent and tv channel with BBC News & CNN channel. The included breakfast was good.
Pros: Free WiFi, breakfast. Next to transport.
Cons: Nowhere comfortable to sit, but essential- a clean comfortable bed!
Pros: Rooms clean and fresh. Location is amazing and hotel central to everything.
Cons: Hot. Had to keep opening the windows!
When you stay at Hotel Marmotte in Saas-Fee, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 15-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge.
Pros: Very friendly, great food, clean and nice!
Pros: People at the reception were very helpful with all sort of information on how to make the best of our trip. They were also very understanding when we had to cut short our trip.
Pros: Lovely friendly helpful staff...they made our stay very enjoyable. Would definitely return. Thank you to Sabine especially
When you stay at Hotel Artemis in Saas-Fee, you'll be in the mountains, within a 15-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Hannig Gondola. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff.
Pros: room was sizeable and breakfast was good
Pros: Artemis is very close to the bus station in Saas Fee, so finding the hotel was easy. The room was very spacious and had an amazing view of the mountains. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel, with much variety and fresh food. Reception was very easy to contact if they weren't around and had a good waiting room if you needed to sit for a bit. They also had a coffee/tea station for use which was great coming in from the chilly weather to grab on your way before you head back into the room. For the money we paid for, this was a great hotel especially since Switzerland can be expensive.
Cons: We had a poor experience prior to arriving at the hotel, however it was resolved within time. The hotel did overcharge us 3 times our stay price due to an error with their payment system and it was hard to contact the hotel. We had to get booking.com involved in order to reassure our refund was being returned shortly. For a couple who were travelling elsewhere around Europe before arriving in Switzerland, having the money subtracted from our account then taking up to 14 days to be returned was quite frustrating. This definitely did not affect our stay at the hotel however, so we're still giving it a fantastic review - but we hope if other travellers experience the issue, you'll be reassured the hotel will take your matter seriously and help you.
Pros: Great location, staff help us with everything we needed and the room was cozy.
Pros: Very very very clean! Flavio at the reception is friendly and knowledgeable. Liana at the breakfast is very kind and professional.
Pros: We had the Suite (Room 404) which has a bedroom with double-bed and a bedroom with twin beds. Both rooms had also a wash-basin in addition to the separate bathroom ... which had a bath :-)) ... nice living room with two sofas ... very comfortable to relax, and there was a kettle / small sink and fridge :-)) Room also has a TV and there was both an up-right heater and a fan, but room was warm and very pleasant to stay in. Breakfast was "continental" and good. Met all the requirements for a good 3-star Hotel Garni. Good location for restaurants in the Dorf as well as being close to the Swimming Pool / Wellness at the Saas Fee Youth Hostel. On the other end of the town from the ski-lifts BUT hotel provides a code so skis can be left at the Express Lift so no need to lug skis every day if there for ski-holiday. Hotel also has its own e-taxi to bring guests to and from the car park / hotel.
Cons: Would have perhaps been good to have had some tea/coffee cups and some cutlery/plates in the room and maybe some tea/coffee to accompany the kettle provided, but perhaps that's the "British" side of us talking. Nothing really however stands out as an issue ... enjoyed the stay very much, would definitely go back :-))
When you stay at Hotel du Glacier in Saas-Fee, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 10-minute walk of Saas-Fee Ski Resort and Saaser Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Location, location, location... Very central and everything is close. Rooms were OK, matrass was a bit firm but we used to it after one night. Breakfast is fine but nothing special. Stuff was friendly and they helped us with most of our requests.
Cons: Restaurant was open only for breakfast, which was a surprise for us. Coffee was only Americano, there was no cappuccino or anything else available. No room service. Phone were not working is the rooms and was not fixed after we reported to the reception.
Cons: Lady at reception had an attitude problem. No effort whatsoever at fulfilling request for a quiet room, was given room on the first floor next to the staircase instead. Room was dark and without proper curtains.
Pros: We had an upgrade from hotel du Glacier to a room in Dom hotel. Very cosy rooms, super breakfast and very nice personnel. We probably would book it again
Cons: Nothing to mention
Pros: All the staff was very helpful. Great hotel overall
Cons: Small-ish spa
Pros: The location was convenient for everything. Free ski shuttle from the parking building to the hotel and also down to the cable cars and kids ski area (walking is possible but can take awhile with kids in ski boots and a family with skis ;) The best thing about this hotel was the setup of the Family Room. Twin beds upstairs and downstairs. Breakfast was also good. Unfortunately for us the negatives far outweighed the positives and we would not choose to stay here again in Saas Fee.
Cons: It is the supposed 3 star “sister”hotel of The Dom next door but it really felt more like a serviced apartment than a hotel. Reception closes at 5pm, there’s no room service or onsite restaurant (despite the booking.com description advertising half board - based on previous reviews it seems maybe there was a restaurant in the past), the mini bar fridge is only stocked “on request”, there’s no bottle opener even, housekeeping comes daily but towels were only replaced on the 5th day (despite leaving soiled ones in the bath one day). Note I don’t request towels to be replaced daily for environmental reasons but on the odd occasion one needs cleaning it would be nice to have it done. For all these reasons it seems more like a self contained apartment than hotel. Which is fine but not when charged hotel prices. We found reception staff to be less than helpful and quite blunt at times. In contrast the shuttle is drivers were extremely friendly and helpful and Françoise who looks after the Kids Club was wonderful. The Kids Club organisation was a joke however. I tried to book our kids in on a package through their ski school which was supposedly in association between the hotel and the ski school. It turned out to be a disaster to plan and organise and despite a cost agreed i was still charged incorrectly on the final bill. The only saving grace was Françoise and her husband who seem to really care. Just a final note, this hotel no longer participated in the Citizen Pass scheme so you miss out on many of those discounts. However I have to say they do apply the 5chf daily discount in the parking building.
Pros: Nice liittle spa section, attentive minicar drivers, and pretty spacious rooms. The hotel is old and it shows, but it is pretty well kept overall
Cons: Few power outlets and a bit difficult to find the way around the hotel. The heating in the skiboot room should be adjusted to actually dry the boots.
Pros: Magda and the shuttle drivers were excellent and made the experience better. Spa area was nice.
Cons: The other front desk folks were unfriendly and unhelpful.
Located in Brig, Schlosshotel - Self Check-In Hotel am Schlosspark is a 2-minute drive from Stockalper Palace and 10 minutes from Brigerbad Thermal Pools. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is unstaffed, check-in went fully automatic and was a breeze. Very fast and straightforward process.
Cons: The view wasn't the greatest, but hey. Sleeping is with eyes closed :)
Cons: 3rd bad was small and not comfortable Heating was turned low
Pros: My friends and I were stranded in Brig after debris blocked our path back to Interlaken by train and this was a very cheap and quick option for us. It was very easy to check into the hotel. The room was spacious and the balcony was nice and the area it was in was quiet.
Cons: I did not like that it took a while for the hotel to register that my party had paid through booking.com, but you can't blame the services, especially since it was only booked less than 20 minutes before. It was kind of far from the station, but only maybe 30 minutes away by walking.
With a stay at Hotel Fiescherhof in Fiesch, you'll be near ski lifts, within a 10-minute drive of Aletsch Glacier and Fiesch-Fiescheralp I Cable Car. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in Fiesch? This hotel has facilities measuring 1442 square feet (134 square meters), including a meeting room. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is a good, no frills, budget hotel that offers single occupancy rates. The half board option is good value for money.
Pros: Room, babybed for our baby.
Pros: staff is friendly
Cons: room is a bit small
Pros: Great location with magnificent view from balcony. The room was little bit cold at the beginning of October, but the hot shower in the room made up for it. Parking is free in the hotel area and after the check in you will get a 10% discount on cable car.
Cons: The heater could be on.
Pros: Great hotel for the price. Clean, simple, and a restaurant downstairs. In the heart of a great part of switzerland. Easy access to many sights. Staff is multilingual. English, Italian, German, possibly french.
Cons: The accommodations are very simple. Not necessarily a bad thing, just be prepared. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: Staff had difficulty speaking German or English (and my Russian is a bit rusty ...). Whilst clean, the room lacked basic comfort. Non of heatings were on with freezing temperatures outside. Plastic shower curtain contained mould. Mansard roof made it difficult to access my bed normally. Skipped breakfast of CHF19 as not much was offered.
