We were sent very good instructions to reach the property. We were greeted by our charming hostess on arrival and shown to our accommodation. I loved the rooms which are beautifully done out in a rustic farmhouse style. The property is quiet and situated in orchards with a view down to the sea - away from the not-so-pretty town of Agrigento and perfectly located for a visit to the Valley of Temples. There's a pretty terrace for relaxation and cold drinks are available from a fridge with honesty box for payment. Comfy beds were a bonus - best we've had in Sicily so far!
Check in was advertised as being from 3pm (I think). I didn't realise this meant we wouldn't be able to access the property at all until that time. (I thought we would be able to wait in the common areas of the property until we could check in to our rooms). It might be helpful to future guests if this was made clear on the website. (We only stayed one night. If you stay longer, once you are checked in you can come and go as you please).
Lovely building with a "street" level sitting area and raised patio for relaxing and looking out over the countryside towards the Agrigento park. There was water, soda, wine and beer available in a refrigerator for a very reasonable charge if you wished to enjoy a drink while sitting out on the patio under the orange trees. Our room was comfortable, with a particularly nice bathroom, and had a small patio off of it with a place to hang clothes to dry if you wished. Your keys will include a way to open the property's main gate when you return in the evening if you go out. Breakfast is fairly basic, but fresh and tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night's stay there.
Use your GPS with the exact location they provide you to find the place. It's a 3 min drive off of a real road, and can be a bit of an adventure if you are just trying to use a map. We used the GPS coordinates with Google maps and had no issues. They were waiting there for us and let us in the gate, showed us our room, etc. The signage while you are off the main roads of the city heading towards Parco dei Templi is excellent. And there are stairs - this would not be the best place to stay if you are mobility-impaired.
Beautiful location, lovely people, clean, clean, clean.
Great location, felt like we were in the countryside but on the edge of town. Very helpful and friendly staff
The breakfast was not great
Peaceful b&b just far enough away from the hustle and noise of the city. We had no problems finding the property with the instructions given to us by the staff before we arrived. Inexpensive mini bar on site in the common area was super nice for when we lacked a bottle of water or wine. Lots of places to sit and relax around the property.
Located in Agrigento, B&B Parco Dei Templi is within a 15-minute drive of Valley of the Temples and San Leone Beach. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
