Not far away from old town
Could not get change from the front desk for a twenty to buy a bottle of water dispense machines would not take a twenty. So the next plan was for a glass from the room but not even a plastic one. Called down but it never showed up.
nice setting, good rate
not really, except no ice machine.
Everything....expecially the 60% off price for a room that included dishes, stove, and real fridge so I could cook and save more$$.
Room had kitchen, free wifi
SO SMOKY:/ disgusting!!! Like sleeping in a lit cigarette
Huge rooms with small kitchen niche available. Overall clean rooms.
AC was a bit loud. Could hear people outside of the hotel talking sometime in the morning. Lobby does not look impressive.
Customer service front desk lady and also no option to have no smoking room when we first tried reserving the hotel room
Cleanliness, helpful staff
Not close to shopping area
short walk to public transportation
staff were hit and miss. One particular employee stood out for his excellence in client care (day desk clerk on 2nd day of stay), the others were indifferent at best. It felt like you were disturbing them when you asked a question.
I loved having a kitchen! I was only there for a night but being able to buy food and store it in the refrigerator was ideal. The room was comfy, clean and quiet and I got the best night's sleep in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
I really don't have any negative feedback, although it would have been nice to have a coffee machine and maybe some sample packs of java, but all in all it was a satisfying stay.
The room smelled like burnt food.
When i checked in I was issued a smoking bedroom. The supervisor gave me a lecture after i asked then that i booked a non-smoking room that i should always call the hotel first. I have booked a lot of rooms in the past & none made me feel embarass.
It was nice to have a kitchen in the room. The hotel is on a bus line which makes it pretty easy to get to the metro station.
The room was pretty dirty. One day I came back to the room and it smelled like someone came in to smoke a cigarette. My clothes still smelled after I came home from my trip. You also must pick up kitchen items from the front desk they are not in the room.
The first room had not been cleaned. The second room had dirty looking sheets and the toilet didn't work. I called to the front desk and had to go down to get clean sheets, but no one came to fix the toilet. I will not stay at this brand hotel again.
The trash had not been emptied. The room was not cleaned during my stay. The skid resistant tub was worn out and I slipped. I was extremely disappointed with this stay.
Hotel employee at the front desk was friendly and very helpful when we forgot an item of clothing and needed to get it sent to us.
One complaint: There are no cups or glasses of any kind in the rooms, unless you ask for a complete pack of dishes and kitchen implements. This is free, but you must ask for it.
Eisenhower Metro is little more than a mile. Room was clean. Appreciate the hotel giving us courtesy metro passes. Hotel management responded when I filled hotel feedback form.
We had a non-smoking room. Morning after the first night, I could smell cigarette smoke smell which probably came through the ventilation system of the bathroom. So, in short our first and third night of stay was not comfortable at all.
plenty of parking, clean room, refrig and microwave
not particularly convenient to Old Town, a bit 'frayed'
Very clean and they were helpful in finding places
Only that they didn't clean the room daily
The staff was friendly.
1. The bath room was leaking from top could not use the commode as the water was dripping from roof to my head, I took two rooms. We had to go to the other room to use the rest rooms.
It was nice and clean, very cozy
How long it took to get checked in, because I checked in late and my reservation was not printed out
Room was cleaned properly. Food was in the microwave. Microwave was dirty was grime. Refrigerator was set to off and smell like mildew. Room smell like smoking cigarettes. Bathroom had hair in the sink. No ice buckets/machines.
Location, room appearance
Could have better breakfast offerings
desk clerk was not at his post most of the time
Kitchen was nice, location is good
Nothing provided in room, minimal service
Close to my meeting area. The complimentary coffee in the morning. The fully equppied kitchen area (stove top) and the comfort package of dishes, cultery and even pots! Fully size refrigerator!
No water on 4/01/15. The entire floor smelled like marijuana! Toliet did not work in the first room.
Staff was great--very friendly.
Clean room friendly staff
Hard bed, breakfast was minimal, hotel not near anything.
Fast check-in and grab-n-go breakfast.
Upon check-in I was ask if I was 18/19 due to my 'young' appearance which I found to be inappropriate since I handed the check-in worker my id. I didn't mind the 'grab and go' breakfast, but the hotel should specifiy this.
Great location with easy access to DC via the train
This is not a nonsmoking facility. The refrigerator was very loud. The shower curtain rod was broken (but maintenance fixed it the next day).
Smelled like cigarettes, bed uncomfortable , pillows lumpy, no daily room service since it is an extended stay hotel, some repairs needed
NOT clean the room or add/change supplies during your stay. The staff are cool and you can feel they are trying to save any penny. It feels living in a really cheap motel.
I have stayed at Extended Stay America in other locations and found them much better than this one. I liked the convenience of their breakfast stand. It was OK for 2 nights.
The room smelled quite bad. Although it was a smoking room, the smell wasn't of cigarettes. They did not have any air freshener available when requested.
Cost and full fridge
Only one small bed. No sitting area. No kitchen utensils, no coffee. Too few staff and some of the staff were incompetent.
Location, too near the airport flight path, had trouble finding it
The room was standard, clean, and acceptable.
The hotel advertises 'free breakfast' but really it was just stale pre-packaged muffins, packages of oatmeal, and fruit. The hotel does not have any 'I forgot something' amenities for free or purchase, don't forget something!
The breakfast was a pace of cake, fruite, and a cup if coffe only.I wax expecting real breakfast.
The service was terrible and the bathroom was very dusty. No dishcloth was given or dish detergent.I had to ask for the rest of the pots for cooking.
The service was terrible.
It was a great price that came with a grab and go breakfast. It is also nice to have a kitchen in the space.
I've stayed in Extended Stays before and this hotel was not as clean as befoand they put us in a smoking room. Also, we stayed for one day with check out at 11 am. At 9:30 and 10:30 housekeeping tried to clean and basically kind of rushed us to check out.
Fix your website to where at least your customers choose either a smoking or non smoking. I was given a smoking room and i dont smoke. I smelled like an ashtray all day nasty. Give us the option to choose or give way someone else who can.
Location and price were great---
The room absolutely stunk to high heaven. My wife and I thought it was some kind of processed meat smell, but it turned out to be cigarette smoke! Asked to change rooms but was told the hotel was full (no way.) ALl our clothes ended up smelling horrible.
there was line to check in and the room key coder wasn't working
The kitchen in the hotel
I was disturbed by police for a suspicious odor in the hallway, And they wrongfully came to my room. I felt targeted and upset about this situation that I spoke with management.
The room was adequate for the length of time I expected to stay.
The property was not located in the area of the city you description indicated it would be. I was very dissatisfied with the location.
It was cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Slow wi-fi.Only weekly linen change.Room smelled like Chinese food.Noisy HVAC.Standing water in tub.Broken tub and sink drains.Loose shower curtain.Feeble water pressure.Basically everything.
bed sheet with blood (so dirty), kitchen with cockroach.... u need to take shampoo from front desk. if u ask for shampoo or soap, they will give you ONE shampoo or soap.....super far from metro!! u need to take bus and the last bus is at 8:59pm
We stayed here five days during the inaugural frenzy. What could have been a crazy time turned out to be quite a pleasing stay. The entire staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, especially with directions to the metro stations and grocery stores, etc. The front desk presented us with a packet with loads of information regarding the locat area as well as D.C. We weren't expecting patience from anyone in the hotel, but that's what we recieved. The room was clean and smelled good when we checked in. The kitchen was well supplied with basic cooking needs. Be aware that if your stay is less than five days, there is no housekeeping services but you can get fresh towels whenever you like. Would stay here again.
rooms smelled to cigarette smoke, not sure if linens were changed. Terrible service!
