Great location, clean, quiet, attentive staff
Amsterdam is so small there is no reason to stay in the middle of all the touristy stuff. This place was in a quiet area, yet close to everything. Clean, comfortable, with helpful staff. Did not try their Japanese restaurant but it was packed every night and apparently has a good reputation. I would say this is a more "grownup"/sophisticated hotel. They rent out average bikes, which are a few € more expensive than the rental place down the street, but it's more convenient than the rigmarole of leaving 50€ cash per bike + a copy of your ID.
Honestly, the only negative were the rental bikes, which were not very comfortable for long rides but do the trick!

Location, staff was very helpful. Bath products and bedding was very nice.
Outlet for coffee machine didn't work, had to make coffee in bathroom sink. Top floor room was designed poorly with very short ceilings in corners and hard to access outlets.
