Very close to train station and nicely located for going to the city center. The room was small (but bathroom was nice). Breakfast was an additional 13 Euro per person per day.
Pleasant hotel. Great pillows. Close to rail station and restaurants.
The location was superb. Since annecy is such a small place you can be within the heart of the town within minutes to enjoy the sights or to enjoy a meal out in one of the many excellent restaurants.
friendly helpful staff
the localizarion of the hotel is perfect for someone visitimg or working in Annecy my room (500) is nice but small. The shower is also small; the only problem is the shower curtain that is perturbating you during your washing, a cabin or a rigid wall would be welcome
central situation near old city is beautifull oh yes the electricity went out in Annecy for 1 hour during 23:00-00:00 (laugh)
Very nice hotel, room and bed were comfortable and spacious. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Great location and good parking right outside hotel. Would go out of my way to stay there again. No complaints at all.
Close to the Old Town for a good choice of Restuarants Our Double room was very small. The adjascent Twin room for my children was a better size.
Very accomodating staff, excellent breakfasts, on-site parking, tea/coffee making facilities in room, excellent free Wi-Fi reception. Limited baggage drop off facilty, small lift without floor indicators, unavailability of airconditioning (turned off for the "winter"!)
Excellent location to explore Annecy, just a few minutes walk from the Old Town and the lakeside. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and secure parking.
The location and the parking. Our room was not very comfortable. We were in a studio on the basment floor (room 6 I think). We were two adults and a baby and the room was quite claustrophobic as the window couldnt be opened and it didn't provide any view. Furnishings were cheap and stark in appearance and the sofa was very uncomfortable. We ended up just leaving the bed pulled down as it was more comfortable than the sofa. Room could have been cleaner. There were dirty tissues behind the bed and the mirror was marked with what looked like paw prints. I would stay here again but not on the ground floor. I'd book a more expensive apartment if staying here again.
Liked having cooking and refrigeration facilities in own room. Also access to laundry facilities and free internet access
This is a great hotel if travelling with children - the apartement style with 2nd bedroom and kitchen facilities are fab. The photos/description don't do it justice as the room are a lot more comfortable and cosy and the bathrooms more modern than they look. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there were lots of lovely pattisseries close by. The location is great, overlooking a small square/playpark, within easy reach of the old town and lake.
Privilodges Le Royal - Apparthotel in Annecy is the perfect place to stay. It is very affordable and has neat clean apartments. The staff is most helpful and efficient, there is a nice fitness room, and the location in the old town is ideal. no
The proximity to the old town area The suite we booked had self catering facilities but did not include a basic welcome pack which ment that we did not use them
The quality of the service
The new rooms are nice. The destination near to the old town ist brilliant.
good location with parking lots and convenient studio with kitchen facilities.
Central location was good. 5 minutes from train station and 5minutes to lake. In the heart of the old town-so easy to get around.
Location, modern, design, clean, comfort, price, staff. Everything was very good. I have no negative remarks to do. Strongly recommended.
Its location The service and the food in the main restaurant was very poor and the head waiter ignored our complaints
fabulous views from the pool noise from the staff quarters in the early hours. difficult to to get into town due to lack of taxis. Expensive food
The setting was fantastic and the facilities were very good. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little small for the price and the hotel bar prices were prohibitive and double the cost of lakeside cafes/resturants in Annecy which is only a short walk away. (9 euros for an orange juice !)
Good access, free parking, wi-fi, good but very expensive breakfast. Rooms were small for the price and our room was under very noisy stairway. When I complained next morning I was changed to another somewhat less noisy under another stairway. Staff did their best but basically they are stuck with the small, noisy (but well equiped) rooms. No English language TV was available in the room yet CNN was available in breakfast room- I was told they were in middle of changing to a new service and nothing could be done and no credit was offered.
The hotel is lovely - quite a business hotel though and the breakfast and food quite pricey when paying your own way. Not ideal for families because of this. Location good - you can walk down to the lake and town in about 15 minutes and the view is fab.
The lake/mountains view and the swimming pool. Oh, yes, aplenty: lack of comfort - small room/bathroom, no aircon (worse if room under the roof); unprofessional, immature staff, unable to answer simple questions about the place but suggesting we should go to the tourist information office downtown instead! One morning breakfast service was appalling, but the hotel manager was 'unavailable' (en rendez-vous) to take comments directly and never replied to our complaints. Hotel restaurant was rather pricey for a family with children, hence the need to sample the restaurants downtown; plenty of choices there but the return to the hotel problematic in the dark. Romantically involved couples of all ages may find this place attractive for a night or two but a longer stay is not justified.
A lovely hotel in a supurb setting. The restaurant was too expensive and closed on Sunday! The brasserie was not open at all!! No English channels on T.V.
pillows, bathroom, robes, view, inside space itself (i.e. dining and sitting areas - I could imagine having a wedding there), staff (friendly, helpful, and excellent English), dvd player room smelled bad, farther away than indicated on map - quite a hike
Proximity of the hotel to the old town. Hotel was expensive. Room was very small. Shower not up to date and bathroom could do with an update. Spa was not as good as the photos made out
the room was confortable e clean, the staff was very gentle, the localization is excellent, very central.
Our room was very comfortable, decor was lovely. Everything was excellent. No problems or complaints
Our desk clerk, Thierry, was extraordinarily helpful. His English was impeccable....and he always had a smile on his face. We thought this hotel, in it's perfect location, was unbeatable. Contemporary bathroom, perfect lounge area, gracious staff. Perhaps the beds could use a soft latex or memory pad as they were very firm. Also beware that if you get a whirlpool room, the people next to you might have one too. We were awake until 2Am while our neighbors enjoyed theirs. The next night we chose a top floor, non-whirlpool room and were much happier with the quiet and the views (403 is a perfect room for 2-5 people)
Friendly staff and location No
very helpful staff Braekfast had a good choice. Very well situated
Excellent location, the renovated rooms are fine. Good breakfast. Same price for rooms that were not renovated than for renovated ones. Bathroom in the non-renovated rooms not ok for a hotel of this category/price.
Location providing outstanding lake views combined with helpful staff and superior breakfasts. N/A
It´s a good option in Annecy, especially when you consider value for money. It´s enough.
The hotel has a nice ambiance, a convenient location, spacious rooms and is good value for money
Location was very good and while room was somewhat small it was comfortable and very clean. Our view was of the "courtyard" but actually the room looked out on a window box that sat on a small ledge...no view at all
Helpful staff, very efficient booking process, wireless internet capability, comfortable rooms. None
Parking available. View over Lake Annecy which would have been superb had the weather been better. The room had a balcony which we would have enjoyed had it not been raining Only large expensive meals available. There was nothing for people who would have preferred a lighter snack. No lifts were available and staircase was narrow - making it difficult when carrying luggage.
Only the cost of the room. Hotel Reception staff was not welcoming at all, also the hotel location is the worst of all you have to climb your way up the hill just to get there; and once you are there you will decided never to go down again until you leave the hotel ;)
The view from our balcony The stairs were very steep and it was difficult to carry up suitcases
Le Belvedere was on a hill with the most wonerful view of the town, lake and mountains, Our room had a deck so we coudl sit and watch the scene.
Hotel location is absolutely perfect: directly in the city center with a beautiful castle and channel views
Clean room, nice breakfast, welcoming staff.
Location was outstanding with parking relativel close by. Very small hotel with small but adequate room. Everything very close by and an excellent place to stay. Very small room but adequate for one night.
perfect location No
location, and staff cant think of anything
Location is perfect for the old part of Annecy. We had a great view out over the canal and the Palais de L'Isle itself. Breakfast as expensive extra rather than included in room rate.
Very central to the old part of annecy, ideal to walk to resturants and the canals The showers had to be hand held and the "curtains" didnt cover the windows
Pleasant staff, central location close to the castle and old town, and good value for money. Tip - there is no hairdryer in the room but one can be provided if you ask at reception. This is NOT a criticism of the hotel but I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility problems as the hotel can only be reached via a steep slope or a lot of of steps.
It was in an excellent location, quiet at night and a very short walk to the rest of town. The room was basic but perfect for someone who just needs to crash before a flight the next day. The lock on the door - have to use the key to lock yourself in, hope there isn't a fire, it might take a minute to get out.
Quiet and friendly
Well located by the lake, near the old town centre and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Clean. Very nice people. Good level at the right price. In high season the shortage of parking could be a problem.
Good value, convenient position, friendly an dhelpful staff Bit difficult to find due to roadworks etc temp problem
Great central location with great views over Annecy. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Also I stayed in 2 other hotels in Annecy but this hotel was the best value. The hotel is in need of a makeover although it did not spoil my stay. It is a bit shabby around the edges but it is a cheap price for Annecy and has alot of charm.
Very nice couple runs the place. Clean & crisp linens. Great breakfast for 9 Euros. Lovely view of the Chateau. Two minute walk into Old Town. Perhaps rugs might be helpful. Person above me walked around a lot!
This was a lovely hotel and a beautiful spot. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window. We only had 2 nights there wished we could have stopped longer. The staff were very helpful . We had free car parking and enjoyable continental breakfast. Only a short distance to the town of Annecy and the canal and restaurants.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The position of the Hotel was perfect for sightseeing. We did not like the fact that the bed was uncomfortable and the shower was broken and only produced very hot or very cold water
The managers and other staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - the hotel felt like a family-run business. The location in the centre of town was excellent. The hotel was very hard to find - took us nearly 2 hours of driving about. The bathroom is a teeny bit too small.
great welcome, very helpful, good location near the old town decor a bit dated but very French
The ceiling fan was help up by only one precarious screw. I dare not imagine what it would do to us if we switched it on and it dropped on us while we were sleeping or just being in the room for that matter. Staff could have been friendlier.
The hotel is in a nice location near lots of stores and restaurants. We had a nice view from our room. There was not much space in the room to move around. The bed took up nearly the entire room.
The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful. It was quite basic but clean and had all necessary facilities.
Excellent, welcoming staff, good location on a canal, nice breakfast area Rooms a bit sparce, but clean and excellent value
Nothing Dirty, small, bad stairs, noisy, bad bathroom.
Super helpful staff
location near to historic center
location and view from the room window - canal and castle
Location was good The mattresses on the bed were old and too soft
The excellent location On our final day we were unable to settle our account as there was no staff on duty. We left the hotel at 8.15 am, staff should have been on duty from 7.00am when breackfast should also have been served..
Friendly and considerate staff who offered me a cheaper room when they saw I was travelling alone. The location was superb.
It is absolutely central - our balcony overlooked the square where there was always a quiet buzz of people and often street entertainment [clowns, jugglers, a guitarist etc] There are many restaurants and bars within a minute or two of the hotel. There are also many shops, banks etc nearby, as well as access to the lake, for boat trips, bike hire, pedalos, swimming, walking etc. The staff at the hotel were all very fiendly and helpful. No - we were very happy there.
beautiful views no air-con. Needed in summer temperatures. Hotel needs a facelift as it is looking tired
Apart from the location I am afraid we liked nothing about the hotel! The hotel was dark, depressing and dingy. It was incredibly out dated and the facilities inadequate for our family. The room was too small, the lay out and furniture of the room impractical. The decor was appalling with curtains stapled to the wall and inefficient lighting. The price of the hotel does reflect value, in fact quite the opposite!
The view of the canal, the relaxed atmosphere and the simple comfort of the room Nothing
location everything else
It was near good reataurants and the center of old Annecy. We booked a canal room, which is the only reason we booked this hotel. When we checked in at noon, we were told there weren't any canal rooms available. We were put in the attic, up six flights of stairs and heard cars day and night and had no view.
Unbelievable location! A little disorganized, the Wi-Fi didn't work.
