Pros: Amazing location. Excellent staff and service. A very nice spa also. Great quality food.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!!! Staff wery kind and willing, great combined English and continental breakfast, big dinner with 4 courses (if you have half board). Pleasant welness....
Cons: Breakfast could be from 8:00...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is outstanding for anyone who wants to visit the real Crete. Look up the history of Anogia or Mount Ida and you can see why this is a must visit place and a perfect location for day trips up into the mountains . It is not your usual Spa hotel but it is peaceful and very comfortable . The adjacent local taverna also has exceptional views and is very Greek in the best possible way.
Cons: Breakfast a little earlier as we were off early. But all fine really. Also some items a little dated, but in a way that just added to the atmosphere.

Pros: The room was very comfortable and the view amazing. Our hostess was lovely.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Anogia is a very relaxing place. It was quiet, yet lively at night with local cafes and bars and live music in the city square. The cool and clean air has the refreshing charm of a mountain resort. It was a pleasant stop away from the summer heat of the coast. It's a good base for exploring the beautiful Nida plateau and visiting the Idean cave on Mount Ida (Mt. Psiloritis). The room was simple but clean and comfortable had nice views and it was a pleasure to be awaken by the gentle growling of piglets and the chirping of birds. Often in the morning I could see several birds of prey gliding in the sky in large circles above the hotel. The lady who runs the place was very welcoming and communicative. Just a few Greek words can take you a long way!
Cons: The breakfast at 6€ is a bit expensive. It could be improved by serving fresh jam, butter and honey (anything from local producers?) rather than the cheap hotel variety that comes in depressing prepacked single portions. On the other hand, the Greek coffee was excellent and the hard boiled egg was simple but boiled to perfection!
Hotel Marina - Anogeia - Bedroom

9.6 Excellent
Pros: very large room with great views.
Cons: Bathroom a little tired but acceptable. Limited kitchen utensils.
6.7 Good
Pros: Hospitality and smile face of the host. She gave us nice cookies and herbal tea as present. Place was 5 mnts to center.
Cons: Village and hotel were away from Heraklea. If you do not have a car it would be problem if you miss the bus. Bec. There are not many scheduled. Room was not so pleasant. Too many steps down/up. Did not have view but had a garden. It was chilly. Internet was not working. No breakfast. Host did not speak english. (Just a little)
7.9 Good
Pros: The owner is very helpful and friendly. Lovely view from the balcony and hotel is in a good location. As the room had a kitchenette, we made our own breakfast.
Cons: During the hot summer months, a fan or air conditioner would be a bonus, as there is no fly screen over the patio doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was our secound time here (first time we were in 2016) and this time again I can say nothing negative. A room was very clean, spacious and a bed was very comfortable. A little kitchenette where you can cook something simple for a breakfast or a dinner. A parking space. And a host is extremely friendly. She made everything she can to make our stay at its best. We've spent here only 1 night and it was really not enough since this place is really magical. So beautiful and quiet!! We really enjoyed a view of the mountains from our balcony, the sounds of the sheeps (it was interesting to watch their life!) and birds. Amazing experience, really recommend!! Additionally - it is also a good place to stay if you are planning to hike to a Psiloritis (Mount Ida), since a starting point (Mygero Refuge) it is only ~20 km away (45 min driving) or to visit Sfendoni Cave (~7 km., 15 min driving).
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marina is a superb host. From the minute we arrived to when we left we were treated as part of the family.Nothing was too much for her.The location and the views from the hotel are superb. It is central to everything and there is excellent and safe parking at the front.
Cons: NothingA
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely superb place to stay in the heart of the Cretan mountains. The view from the balcony is spectacular. I delayed my dinner to watch the sunset. Marina is a very welcoming host who offered Cretan biscuits on arrival, cooked a wonderful Greek breakfast and gave all sorts of helpful info. She also arranged a taxi to take me to the Nida Plateau and Cave of Zeus- really great as I'd been unsure whether I would be able to do it without a car. It was fine- Marina sorted it out :) . The room (more like a flat) was superb, with comfy bed, chairs and tables and a good bathroom.

Pros: The host was really friendly. Perfect location if you want to climb psiloritis moutain. Place is cute. Good air for sleeping especially in the summer. Would definitely come again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, VERY traditional house. Bathroom on 1st level, bedroom on 2nd. Beds were fine. Bathroom fine. It is not updated, but that is part of the charm, definitely. A lovely garden and back patio and then also a balcony off of bedroom on upper floor. This is a very low-ceilinged and dark house, and would not want to be here in the dark/colder time of the year when being inside was necessary. We were there only one night but were hosted by the lively son of the owner, who shared dinner--cooked by his mom, who now lives in Iraklio, at her house--with us. It was an incredible meal; just let them know ahead of time if you will eat there. Breakfast, too, was extraordinary. Kids would love this place! There are 2 daybeds on 1st floor where they could sleep. I believe there is another room as well, that can be opened-to, for a larger group/family. Just startlingly beautiful views, before the clouds come down at night. Tiny kitchen of sorts. Able to easily make tea in the morning. QUIET.
Cons: Inside of the house, if it had been closed up (doors, windows), would have been very close. Not an issue for us.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very very nice -- the people and the place! This was our 1st stop after landing in Iraklion in the evening. Good to find with satnav, good signposted in Astiraki which is a little village in the hills in the nowhere west of Iraklion. They saved us in the late evening from going to bed hungry. We asked for a VEGAN breakfast, and that was gorgeous! So we booked Traditional Rooms Elena a 2nd time to look around Knossos and Iraklion Museum before taking off home. Don't expect luxury (it's "traditional"!) and you'll be more than satisfied!

Pros: Very nice stay. Amazing location, very friendly staff

Pros: Most wonderful little Guesthouse, very traditional in a beautiful small little village. Wonderful for hiking around in nature. Elena is a amazing cool (also for vegans!) and John was a great host. Thank you for everything, I will come back someday.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for the nice Evening
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a place for people wanting to get away from the tourist scene and blend into the traditional Crete village. Need a car and a desire to experience whatever happens in the village scene with Anoiga village as the local "city centre".
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very special dinner with John, the owner, with traditional homemade food. A beautiful place between mountains. Be careful to choose the correct road.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: No place on Crete where you can be closer to the silence, and clean air of Psiloritis mountain.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very low noise, recommend for people, who like to be alone.
