10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed my stay. Great hotel with a beautiful room. Downtown Roanoke is a short walk away and has a lot of great food and entertainment choices. Wish I could have stayed longer.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Guest services was superior and what I expect for a hotel of its caliber. We had a problem with our room and when addressed, we were moved into a suite and also given passes for the executive lounge. Aver unexpected and pleasant surprise. We really only wanted a different room. The location is great for walking in order to enjoy a variety of dining experiences and shopping in the market. The grounds and pool were very pretty and the entrance up to the hotel was very inviting.
Cons: The rooms were only average, at best. There was hair on the woodwork in the bathroom and the floor was a little dirty. The linens on the bed were also a little scratchy. Not nearly as luxury as I expected. I've stayed in less "luxurious" hotels with softer sheets. The overall decor was old and tired...definitely not grand. It would have been really nice to have coffee service available in the room. I want coffee when I wake up and not have to get dressed, go to the lobby and back up to my room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historic sprawling Hotel...so many hallways and places to explore. Multiple patios/courtyards/outdoor seating areas. Would recommend....especially for business conference rooms. The Hotel parking lot connects to a sky walkway that drops you right off at the edge of the Roanoke downtime "market" area where all the shops are.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Hotel Roanoke were the definition of customer service, from the housekeeping staff to the management and everyone in between
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and aesthetics.
Cons: Parking situation is very inconvenient. Had too far to walk and leaving during a rush (our whole group left at once) with only one attendant took nearly 15 minutes to get out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable price. Great food & amenities. Great location in Roanoke. I look forward to another visit!
6.0 Good
Cons: 24 hrs before checking in I received an email offering 3 alternative upgrades if available at 3 different price premiums above my booked room. I was not able to choose which upgrade I might be interested in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful old hotel within a walk of the Taubman Art Museum and the downtown market. The old Norfolk and Western station across the street which houses a small museum of railroad photos from the end of the steam era was also nice. The hotel grounds were well-kept and when we visited cherries were in bloom. Valet and bell service was very attentive. We had an excellent breakfast on Saturday with first-rate croissants, fresh fruit, and salmon.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Historical nature
Cons: The executive level was not worth the additional money
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel Roanoke is a fantastic facility. The building is clean and well-maintained. The staff went out of their way to make our event a success. The dining room buffet is probably one of the best meals I have every eaten. I can't recommend this site enough for a business meeting or just for a stay while on vacation in Roanoke.

Pros: I highly suggest this hotel. Staff is professional. Rooms are clean, quiet, and lavish. Free Hot Breakfast has the best variety I've ever seen. The pool includes handicap lift (not needed, but nice to see they accommodate). Parking is secure. A++ Hotel
Cons: This chain of hotel has a MAJOR issue with their key card lock system. The rooms are secure, don't get me wrong. But if you place your key card near a cell phone or credit card, it WILL deactivate & you have to get a new one at Front Desk. Irritating.

Pros: We were there for a funeral, and it made things so much easier that the staff was great, we didn't have to worry about a dirty room or hotel, and breakfast was nice. The Mexican restaurant next door was nice as well. Great job!
Cons: There was another visitor there who didn't know how to use the microwave and broke it. Then she yelled at the staff like it was their fault that she couldn't read the instructions.

Pros: Front desk staff were wonderful. Room was lovely. The location atop the hill is beautiful and unique. The hotel itself is pretty and clean, food was decent. We loved visiting Roanoke, it was a great town and easy to get around. We would stay again.
Cons: We were not fans of the bartender. There was no warmth about her, and no attempt to engage us in conversation. Also, the hotel's pillows are way too soft and deflated. Dirty washcloth left in same place all 3 days of our stay.

Pros: Location to highway and restaurants was perfect.
Cons: Our room was next to elevator and that took space away from the room. The bathroom was incredibly tight. Be warned if you have a do not disturb sign on your door when the cleaning staff to by- they will not come by later and clean your room at all. Wish we had known that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: loved the breakfast, especially the "egg mcmuffins" which were far superior to those at McDonalds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were literally there for only 9 hours, but it provided the exact level of comfort we wanted and would want if we stayed longer. The king was very comfortable, there was plenty of room with a huge sofa and there was a large wet bar with mini fridge. It seemed that the hotel was very new. And the woman at the front desk was exceptionally pleasant.
Cons: Nada!
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly and efficient. A good welcoming upon check in. The room at first glance was very modern decor and tasteful. Plenty of space. Convenient location with lots of restaurants and shopping.
Cons: The fridge was not working. We didn't find this out till we came back that evening with drinks and by morning, still nothing. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Very noisy with springs, "popping" when someone moved. Made for a very restless night.

Cons: room was dated with peeling paint and missing outlet covers, breakfast was tough
5.7 Okay
Pros: The beds were comfortable
Cons: We had a leak under the sink the carpet was wet. We called about it and they said someone would come check on it but nobody showed up. Another thing was they put us in a room next to the elevator so we heard the elevator go up and down all night was kinda noisey in the middle of the night. The drains did not drain like they should. And nothing was done about that.

5.1 Okay
Pros: I had a room on the 2nd floor (in the 300s) and it was quiet. I never heard any other guests while in my room. Parking wasn’t an issue - plenty of spaces. The room was clean enough and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: Getting to/from was a bit challenging because it’s on a road with a median barrier. So if you were going left from the parking lot exit, you had to either go right and U-turn or snake through back lots and try to find an opening and turn left over 4+ lanes of traffic. The refrigerator in my room did not work at all - inside was the same temperature as the room. Could not get hot water in the shower. I reported this to the front desk and the young guy told me to come get him when I wanted to take a shower and he could get hot water (???). I messed around with the handle the next morning and got somewhat warm water, but never hot. And the plug on the lamp on the nightstand didn’t work which was a pain for trying to charge my phone/use it as an alarm clock while having it nearby.

6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. It was clearly refurbished recently.
Cons: The location was very inconvenient and I would not stay there again because of it. There's no way to make a left turn into the parking lot (which you would have to if your coming from 581), you also can't make a u turn at the light so you have to make a left and circle back around. The doors and frames were old and did not seem secure.
6.2 Good
Pros: The area the motel was at it was conveint to restarauts and stores
Cons: The continental breakfast could be better but I'm am thankful that they do offer it but it could be a lot better

Pros: Bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel appears to be older, but has many upgrades. Our bathroom had been renovated. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was impressive. They had ham, cheese omelettes, fresh cut fruit, oatmeal station, waffle station, cereal, pastries, juices, and more. We strolled in for breakfast a half an hour before it was over and it was still fully stocked, clean and had plenty of options.
Cons: The bottom of the door into our room had a pretty big gap between it and the floor, which allowed more hallway sound in.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: The bathroom floor was stained and dirty and we slept on top of the sheets as they looked so wrinkled, possibly were not changed from last guest! Will never stay again. Noise from refrigerator in next room kept us awake as well.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: I did not like that they called me in the middle of each night regarding dog issues. Yes, I travel with my service dog. My dog is well trained, quiet and doesn''t leave my side. My dog wasnt the problem.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was very clean and right off of the highway.
Cons: It was very hard to sleep in the room due to the flashing lights of fire alarm and the curtains are a little low at the bottom. The halls are so well lit that even with the drapes closed, it looks like high noon on a sunny day in the middle of the night.
