Arachova hotels

Pros: The owner is very nice and we had a good servicie for a handmade breakfast in the room. The room is cosy and comfortable. If you want to visit Delphi is really well situated.

Pros: They were really friendly and helpful. The room was pretty cozy and clean.

Cons: No air conditioning or fans. It was very hot, even at night (maybe we came during the heat wave, but we did felt the absence of AC) Tricky to find parking in the area. We traveled with large van and got almost stuck in some of the streets trying to get there. Maybe it is easier with a normal car. In any case just call the host before the arriving.

Pros: Very warm welcome and friendly owners, great apartment at great value, delicious breakfast (eggs, fruits, cheese, coffee, tea, cakes, toasts, gem, etc-etc-etc), very well equipped (up to waffle iron). Highly-highly recommended, would stay longer if there was more time

Pros: Alexandros is an amaizing host, extremely helpful and always friendly with a smiley face. The room was cosy, warm and very comfortable. The location was perfect, just in the main square of Arahova.

Cons: There is nothing to write here as I liked everything write from my arrival until departure from the guest house.

Pros: The bed was amazing, the steam-shower was brilliant, the decor was lovely, the rooms were toasty-warm and great size. The location is in the centre of the village so handy for everything. Breakfast always included some lovely homemade pie and for anything you need Alexandros is super-friendly and helpful.

Pros: Beautiful and comfortable room with a fireplace. The host Alex was fantastic, welcoming us, providing breakfast and running out for firelighters to get the fire going as soon as we arrived on a cold day. Located in the centre of Arachova so walking distance to the quite town.

Cons: The parking at arachova generally is a bit difficult as its tiny picturesque streets are the main acccess for tour busses through the town.

Pros: Cosy family B&B, house full of art and paintings, lovely hosts, (elderly couple), gorgeous views, delicious homemade breakfast, quiet place

Pros: The host was extremely helpful and accommodating. The place had everything we needed for a night stay. The breakfast was amazing - home made pies, eggs, etc., overlooking the valley. Breathtaking.

Pros: Mr Panos and his daughter, Georgia, took excellent care of us. The breakfast was fabulous and the inn was very quiet. Their tavern suggestions were perfect and they helped us a lot in finding good hikes. My husband and I highly recommend it.

Pros: Great breakfast - local, homemade specialties. Very comfortable and clean room. Perfect location to visit Delphi, it’s so close that we could reach it before it got crowded. Parking place inside closed area.

Pros: The hostess is amazing. Very welcoming! The rooms were nice clean and warm during winter. Nice location everything is close by! She always took care of us even when we had to wake up really early at 7:30, the breakfast was waiting for us! Greek hospitality at its best! Definitely worth it!

Pros: Beautiful place in a marvelous mountain village close to well known Delphi. Nice and friendly housekeeper lady, willing to help and advice (called to bus company to find out time schedules, pointer out closed beach, shared family recipe). Room had all the advertised equipment and panoramatic view from the balcony.

Pros: Iris is on the main street of Arachova, and this is important because if you are with a car, it is easy to drive to. Arachova is situated on a mountain slope, and many streets other than the main are rather narrow and steep. Also, it is very handy that Iris has it's own small space for parking, although it's possible to find a place on a main street (at least it was when we stayed). The hotel is comfy and well kept, everything is clean and in order, and the host is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is tasty and filling. The room was with a heating, the bed was comfortable (the mattress was hard, which is good for us). One should be careful with the shower since it's easy to splash water outside of it and get the bathroom floor wet. Our room's windows were facing the main street and there were some noise from it at night, so it may wake up a light sleeper, but it is compensated by a great view. Also, the main street was not so active at night. Iris also have rooms not facing the street as far as I understand. The main street stays at one level, and one can easily go from one edge of Arachova to other in about 15-20 mins by foot. The is a small Spar supermarket if you go for about 10-15 mins along the main road in the direction of Delphi, and we easily walked there and back. We went to Arachova on a car and visited Parnassos region, Delphi, monastery of Hosios Loukas and nearby seaside towns. Is was very convenient to drive to all of these places. Also, Arachova is a beautiful mountain town by itself, very picturesque and cozy. If you drive to/from Athens, consider to stop at Krya springs in Livadia.

Pros: The host was very friendly and the place was extremely clean and well-maintained.

Cons: Sleeping with open windows allows street noise to enter, can be cumbersome if you are a light sleeper.

Pros: The location, swimming pool and excellent breakfast. The rooms are a little small for three, although there is a nice view.

Cons: The complimentary drinks never appeared. Unfortunately there was no dedicated parking. There was a constant 'push' to make extra cash..'why not upgrade to a better room', or 'I can recommend a good restaurant...'.

Pros: The location of the Hotel Is spectacular - it is high up in Arachova - all the rooms have views of the mountains and the valleys far below. The breakfast was generous - lots of fruit, cheese pies, olives, feta, and many Greek pastries - delicious! The hotel is a short walk down to the village - and very conveniently located for exploring the Parnassus region: Delphi, Osios Loukas, etc. The staff are very helpful (which is just as well as there is no tourist center in Arachova). The hotel has an indoor pool - which was refreshing after a day's sightseeing.

Cons: Sometimes there seemed to be a bit too much chlorine in the pool - but they usually got it right.

Pros: We came in the very early morning, far ahead of the check-in time, but were checked in as soon as it was possible. The check-in process went smoothly and we were provided with suggestions concerning best options for dinner, weather forecast and suggestions concerning visit to archeological site in Delfi. The room was comfortable and quiet, clean and well furbished. The breakfast was very good and coffee exceeded our expectations. The checking out was as sooth as the checking in and we were provided with information how better proceed with our further trip to the next destination. We are very happy that we visited Boutique Hotel Parnassia and the Arachova city. I would love to come back and stay again in the same hotel in a couple of years.

Pros: Great hotel run by a couple who were extremely friendly. Superb hospitality with complimentary wine and water bottles in the room. Very good breakfast.

Pros: We like the Parnassia hotel very much, seems like it is a family-run business. Very friendly staff, clean amenities, a very quiet location with a great view on mountains and Arachova (in our room). Easy to reach, but be careful with your GPS tools - they might guide you through the town (narrow and very steep streets hardly drivable) whereas the hotel is just downhill on the main street. And Parnassia's staff advised us on a very special and superb taverna, which turned out to be one of the best experiences in our whole Greek trip.

Pros: The rooms were very clean and the owners were very friendly. There was a really nice home-made breakfast.

Cons: We weren't lucky because we didn't have rooms with a good view. Parking was difficult as in all Arahova, but the hotel had some reserved places.

Wide variety even for my self that I am a veggie . Awesome people that reccomented places for us to go in Arachova ! Stayed there to visit amazing Delphus that is a short drive from the hotel !

Pros: Super host! Friendly and always helpful. It was a real pleasure to meet him and his family. The owner gave us many tips for our complete trip we are making here in Greece. He is a real tour guide :). We had a very clean room and nice bathroom with very comfortable beds and a balcony with beautiful view. Quiet place within the mountains, hiking paths start from there. Very nice and healthy breakfast with e.g. homemade tea and jams. Great place to stay during both summer and wintertimes. Nice and well-maintained swimming pool, fitness facilities and sauna. In conclusion, we had a wonderful stay and we hope to go there again some time!

Pros: This is an absolutely wonderful place in the mountains to stay. We were there in June. The proprietors (John and his family) were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel Boutique Skamnos is a beautiful little hotel. Not only do I recommend it to everyone (especially during summers) but I hope to return there again.

Cons: There was one space heater by one of the beds. The wall mounted heater only works for 1 hour a NIGHT. In the shower you had to hold the shower head and its a TINY stand only shower.

Pros: We payed for one night with heater in the room. The heaters were all turned off including in the bathroom. Just one electrical one was installed in the room with not sufficient power to deliver heat. My kids were not able to take shower because there was no hot water during the night and no heating in the bathroom during the morning. I would no reccommend to came with family during the winter.

We were the only guests, but the host made a tasty mixed grill for us in the evening. We could not eat all the breakfast served. Good location if you left Athens and want to visit Delphi next day.

Pros: The cleanliness of the room, the hospitality of Ms Anna, the delicious out-of-hours breakfast prepares especially for us by Ms Anna, the location (closer to the slopes) the ease of access compared to downtown Arachova, the feel of authenticity.

Cons: If you are looking for a designer hotel seek elsewhere. Also for a longer winter stay maybe the “sailing boat” layout of the shower-room can be a bit of a setback.

Cons: wright yades in google maps. We wrote the adress and spent 20 minutes in the fields, although it's on the main road. The owner doesn't speak English at all.

Pros: The guesthouse feels like an alpine lodge. I think we had the best room, up in the eaves, with a large veranda with a view to die for. The owner speaks little English but we got by and he is very friendly. Breakfast was a bit odd but sufficient.

Cons: Had to lug our 20kg suitcases up a long flight of stairs and then up another winding flight to the room. It was late June. The room was just cool enough for sleeping but later in the summer would be a problem as no aircon in the room.

Cons: The WiFi was not always reliable in the room I stayed. One had to be close to the entrance door to have a better reception.

Pros: Modern hotel in "rustic" style at a scenic location with a view over the valleys. The hotel was still being prepared for the season, so it was quite empty (with some construction work going on, but not disturbing); About 10 km from the historic Delphi, so a perfect location for a "culture tour" of Greece. Breakfast is included and even though we had a reduced setup (because off-season and almost the only guests), the food was excellent. Try the omelettes! Bonus points also for the excellent restaurant on the hill just above the hotel, where we went to eat all the time because the food was so great (not really related to the hotel, but definitely good to know).

Cons: Pool was unheated in April already, so didn't try.

Pros: Very good hotel. Warm, clean and friendly with the quality of services, rooms and breakfast being on the high side as well. Personnel is very friendly and offered a larger room than the one booked since it was available due to a cancellation.

Pros: The views!!! Wonderful location, comfortable, and outstanding breakfast.

Cons: Loved everything, but some may like to know the very short driveway is steep so having an automatic car was a plus when maneuvering out.

Pros: From the moment we arrived, we were in love! The view is amazing, the homemade breakfast was delicious and the people that run the hotel couldn’t be nicer!!! We were sad to leave and will be back for sure! Thanks for a beautiful 3 day stay.

Pros: Everything about this place is amazing. Modern apartments with quality fixtures and fittings and lovely views of the valley below from the private terraces. Lovely staff and fabulous breakfasts that saw us through until the evening. Would not hesitate to recommend to others and would love to visit again one day.

Cons: The suites are built on the side of the mountain and so it is naturally a very steep plot. Anyone with walking difficulties or difficulty with steps might want to contact the manager first to make sure it is suitable for them. I couldn't use the lovely pool because the first step was too big for me to manage with my dodgy knees. This was a minor issue though and certainly didn't ruin my holiday.

Pros: Everything was perfect, breakfast, bed, fireplace. Leo, the management guy is always ready to help you in anything you need. We will be back for sure.

Pros: Our Chalet was just amazing ! Breathtaking view ! We enjoyed the chimney in the room - it was so romantic and the service was great! Breakfast in bed and absolutly traditional greek food !

Pros: Exceptional!!! The room was huge, the staff was very helpful and kind, the view was amazing, the bed was very big and comfortable. The products in the bathroom were a named brand. You can park just outside your room. Amazing hotel

Cons: If I could say something is that you couldn't find something to eat in the afternoon no room service. You had to go to the village.

Pros: The hotel is a magical location just outside of Arachova village, very clean modern minimal rooms and easy to get to. The people are very friendly, I was leaving at 6 am and the lady made me sandwiches and breakfast from the night before !! Very good way to treat clients.

Cons: The road towards the hotel needs to be fixed its pretty steep and i did not have a problem but if u have a car with low clearance you will have an issue.

Pros: Wonderful location, close to the town. Friendly staff and a complete breakfast. On the coffee, there is room for improvement. We stayed in the new wing with nice rooms. Close to Meteora where you can visit the monasteries.

Cons: The breakfast was limited, and basically, everything was limited. The hotel also needs a full renovation. Everything was so dated and lack of maintenance.
