The location of the hotel is very good and the surrounding countryside picturesque. It was very expensive to eat in the hotel.
The location is beautiful and the nearby waterfall is worth a 10 min walk The restaurant is ok but expensive....i would not consider it to be gastronomic as advertised!! No receptionest on duty at 08.10 and no one to serve breakfast until 08.15
calm, silence Unfavorable price / quality relationship for the dinner
Food in the restaurant was excellent, Location was very peaceful & the hotel building had alot of character & charm
We booked to stop overnight enroute to our annual ski holiday at Les Deux Alpes. For us, at this time of year, it turned out to be a perfect, quiet and relaxing environment set off the beaten track. The small group of staff were most welcoming and helpful, and the highlight of our brief visit was the truly excellent cuisine produced by the Chef/owner and his wife. There was nothing we did not like, other than the very obvious and transient work in progress that is clearly aimed at enhancing the quality and scope of the buildings and facilities at this wonderful old site.
The hotel is a group of buildings beautifully embedded in a typical small valley of the french jura
nothing the restaurant was to expensive for the quality of food and at 23.00 hours all the lights outside were out even by the rooms outside and everything was closed down so you had to go into your room.
A beautiful location and oh so peaceful - the free wakeup call of a donkey braying nearby was much appreciated. The evening meal was food to die for!!!
Staff could speak good English .food was at a very high quality.Very French setting in the hills in a good wine region.Would go back again and again.
Wonderful location with beautiful views in the heart of the Jura wine region. Lovely outdoor pool. Room had nice balcony and large modern bathroom.
The food att his hotel is amazing. Staff was very helpful and the setting was gorgeous in the wine country. Room was mediocre, comfortable but not exceptional.
The family run hotel were professional, and ensured we had a lovely stay. They even put a bottle of champagne in our room!
Beautiful surrounding area with lots to do & see.Peaceful calm environment, quiet during the night. Clean, efficiently run, good food
The hotel is set in amongst vineyards. The swimming pool is lovely and we were fortunate enough to have a room with a terrace onto the pool. The food is exceptionally good. We do'nt speak any French but the staff are wonderful helping with the menu. We enjoyed the local wines.
Excellent quality of bedroom facilities, dining and swimming pool. A perfect hotel. No
Friendliness of staff and atmosphere of hotel was excellent. Restaurant highly recommended Could have done with air conditioning as very hot during our nights stay
Conveniently located but the room (towards the street) was rather noisy and not very big. Friendly service and good restaurant. Noise.
Easy access to the hotel salt water pool -- robes provided (but I had forgotten my swimsuit, and they could not provide one on loan). Nice restaurant, with tables in the square outside, alongside a fountain in which the hotel keeps its trout. Soundproofing in the room, which was over the square was very good. Buffet breakfast was good and fairly priced. Our room was a squeeze, so we would not have wanted to have to spend too long in it.
The hotel is absolutely idylic, and the food first class. We have stayed here 4 times and will stay again, room rate quite high but food prices reasonable No bad points
A very quirky, friendly hotel. The dinner was exellent - as good as any top hotel, Great quality, very professionally served and tasted delicious. The breakfast was very disappointing - certainly the other end of the scale to the dinner. Also the price for breakfast was way too expensive for what was available.
the owner/management couple is very nice too expensive
the food was excellent! the road with traffic
We liked the countryside location near Poligny. The food served in the restaurant was excellent, the best in France. Staff very amenable and welcoming. Nothing but would have liked air conditioning
The host couple were very welcoming. Dinner and wine excellent.
The friendliness of the couple who ran the hotel, and its seting and style were also superb. No
The view and tranquility Nothing
Excellent location Comfortable room Hotel tired & run down. Weird, scruffy & over effusive concierge - the owner we presumed. Hotel exterior in need of general external refurbishment etc. Peeling paintwork and rotten wood were the main features, with scruffy entrance, overgrown drive and unmown grass. Room nice except for "see-through" bathroom!
the owners the owners are new and have to learn a lot about their hotel and what international travellers need
Nice hotel, maybe a bit close to a road with lots of traffic
Friendly welcome on our late arrival. Hotel staff speak excellent English. Hotel is easy to access from town by-pass.
wonderfully comfortable and spacious bed, great shower, air conditioning that worked and was effective.
The convinient position near the city. The nearby restaurant (that belongs to the son of the owner of the hotel), with delicious -and quite cheap- menous. Needs renovation, specially the blankets that are very old.
I was able to sleep, minimum noise. No English at Reception, confusion about Wi Fi.......when I checked in, asked for Wi-Fi password. Gave me a number and stapled it into my folio. Would not work, turned out to be the code for the entrance door. Called desk, could not understand me. Walked down to desk with computer, oH! Wee fee. Number she gave me did not work. Manager finally came, tried two more before they worked. The receptionist was not helpful or friendly. She was very upset with me, thru scissors, slammed around-said wee fee very important. I responded yes, important for my business. Worst property in my 5 weeks in France. View of overgrown grounds.
