Friendly owners, with no-fuss parking permits, good breakfast. Good central location walkable anywhere in town.
Spacious, everything needed,
Lovely room with good view. Centrally located in the town with safe on-street parking. Freindly owners.
Friendly, welcoming and accomodating
Location, ambiance, food, the drawing, and snooker rooms along with an interesting library, the grounds, pond, walking paths, tennis and walled garden. Tranquility. Just an excellent place. WiFi was highly appreciated. Temperature control poor. Very hot when we arrived; could only cool down by turning off all heat registers. The shower head is way too large for a small shower stall and should not be an overhead. A table and chair for a computer would be nice.
Good size room, clean and comfortable. Excellent buffet and cooked breakfast. Good fairly quiet location in centre of town, few minutes walk from rail and bus stations. Good value for money.
Central location I Did not like being called mate by the waiting staff, not enough electrical points in room, for business use. Oh and the TV reception and channel choice is very poor.
Close to the town center We were shown a room that was not the standerd of the room we had paid for and would have been left in that room if we had not complained. Represents poor value for the price. Would not stay at this hotel again
very clean room and bar area, friendly staff we arrived ealy howver we were told that the room would be ready at 2 ocklock.the rom was still being cleaned at half past 2
Excellent comfortable hotel in a central location, with good breakfast and evening meal facilities. Value for money, helpful staff.
Easy to find Unavle to connect to internet
friendly clerk at check-in. Rooms were fine although bed in Room 19 was uncomfortable. Wait staff not very friendly. Breakfast buffet wasn't great. Just a lot of toast. Muffins and pastries would have made it better.
the freindly staff. The management inability to return calls reference the complaint i made.
Very good position, free parking available.
No lift to top floor. cold shower. very bad bed.
Bedrooms were adequately furnished, & very clean Reception areas are in need of refurbishment, staff were polite but didn't provide the service you would expect. The Bar was closed at 10pm, and we were told we could take drinks to our room!
The internet booking was not registered in the hotel and that was really bad. Curtains in dinningroom can get attention, little sloppy.
It was cheap No major issues, you get what you pay for, the basics
the views the shower was very poor
Nice room comfortable and clean.
Our room had great view, but seems not very many do. Our room had plenty of space for our family of 4 For hotel rate, you would think the "complimentary" breakfast would include hot chocolate.
A pleasant hotel to stay at with friendly waiting staff. Chaotic check-in / check-out, with original e-mail reservation lost. Then tried to charge a higher rate, and capped it all by telephoning the next day to make a 'no show' charge for not having arrived as booked!
Hotel was clean and rooms had been newly refurbished. No information in room of fire exits and meal availability. No warning about scalding hot water. Poor food at breakfast and poor availability after a coach party had blitzed the breakfast room. Quality of food was poor. Tv had hardly any choice of programmes despite the only information in the room advertising all the available tv channels, we could only receive about 4. Room was located at back of hotel up many stairs and corridors.
Bathroom very cold no heating
peace & quiet of the setting where the hotel was sited Did'nt realise we should bring our own towels, will know for next time.
Lovely views over to the Loch.
excellent, looking forward to our next visit Was perfect. Great for catering for your self. Restuarant seems good, look forward to a meal. Also very relaxing bar. Lovely people, running everything. Very welcoming
Lovely setting, basic but comfortable rooms giving good value for money. Bar and restaurant very good.
Price in comparison with the surrounding. Closeness to the best positoned hiking targets. It is a hostel although it is not published properly. High level positioned hostel, but still it is (e.g breakfast is self serviced, self cleaned etc.)
Good value for money. Delivered what it said in brochure. Felt the shower water pressure was lacking
close by to Fort William and Oban surrounded by lovely countryside The chalet had everything you would need in it, although it could do with any airing as it had a damp smell.
The hotel was exactly as was stated in the description. The pub was very close and the food was lovely. The hotel was located 15 mins drive from Glencoe and Fort William.
Comfort, cleanliness, beautiful location, the convenience of having the kitchen facilities and the option of the restuarant and bar next door. Everything needed for an enjoyable break and good value for money. Not applicable
Campfield House is clean and its owners were friendly. We wrote in advance that we did not eat meat and were given the breakfast minus meat. Other places have provided vegetarian sausages. There was very little space between the bed and wall to get to the en-suite. We are of average build. Somehow we felt sqashed into someone's home; the hall had a lot personal items piled up and the table for breakfast seemed to have been put into a family sitting room. Nothing awful to complain about we just wouldn't return. see above
We enjoyed our stay. The room was very pleasant and comfortable with a great view, and the breakfast was lovely.
The views from the property were excellent, the atmosphere informal and the food of good quality. Parking was also available at the property.
Good food. Friendly people. Adequate parking None
Loch View and safe off road parking 3 Miles to Fort William centre
Good location, not too far from the centre so easy access for meals. Parking available close to house. Very friendly welcome. N/A
Friendly service. Breakfast precisely on time and fully prepared. Homely feel. Great price for a high standard of accomodation.
The bed was comfy and lots of tea and coffee.
very comfortable and helpful owners
The owners were very helpful after I had to alter my booking. I found it a quiet and relaxing experience with a lovely waterside view of Loch Linnhe. It was no bother to them that we had our dog with us, and it was a good idea to take its cage to sleep in as, quite rightly in my opinion, it was not allowed on the bed. The Scottish breakfast was very substantial and was ordered the night before.
ideal location for rail travellers. the buffet breakfast could be better, some items were cold.
staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable. Central town location is a bonus.
Good Location. Friendly and Helpful Staff, especially in the restaurant.
Great vfm and very helpful staff. Good restaurant in the Food Stop. Hard to be critical at this price but a make-over would not go amiss.
Our room was a bit noisy. The kitchen fans were specially loud, but they stopped during the night and re-started in the morning.
location of the hotel as my husband uses crutches and there are no hill's
The members of staff were very friendly and helpful.
very helpful staff, right across from train station
Ideally situated for the train station - especially as we had a wheelchair guest. Nothing
The staff were very friendly and accomodating with regards to having a 14 month old baby with us. The location was pretty central to the shops etc.
having leisure facilities to hand Hotel was a bit tired and rooms in need of redecoration and or upgrade.
The new pool and spa centre was by far the best part of this hotel. Room was drab and dreary and slightly damp with no heating working. After complaining 3 times and offered a heater that never came we were given another room to stay in the second night which was far superior. This room in the Annex building changed our minds about the hotel and we would stay here again.
the food was very good and the bar area friendly asked at reception for someone to come and check the tv because the reception was bad and nobody came
location was good, welcome excellent, hotel facilities very weloming and food good. TV had not been reprogrammed for digital. Only 2 stations available and no was of turning down the sound. Complained in morning and accept explanation about engineers not having completed work.
I enjoyed the pool and spa facilities. Rooms were clean and comfortable Toilet seat kept falling off and toilet paper was too awkward to reach. Long curtain covered radiator and heat was lost out of window
Staff friendly and sauna and pool excellent some of bar food not cooked through
Hotel efficiently run,and staff very correct. Room clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast adequate, and evening meal excellent. Lovely views towards Ben nevis and the mountains. Rather a long walk from hotel reception/bar/restaurant to my bedroom. The weather was very windy during my stay, and as the windows in my room would not close tightly, the otherwise efficient central heating could not keep my room fully warm.
The Leisure faclilities
Warm, clean & leisure club attached
Good value for money, conveniently located. Lack of breakfast off-season (though there is a good cafe nearby, and a self-catering kitchen on-site).
clean, comfortable, warm rooms with plenty of hot water
The walls of the hotel were paper thin it sounded like people were walking and talking in your room, made it very hard to sleep.
Good location, clean rooms well appointed. 24 Hour reception. Very good value
no breakfast available
Room was clean and comfortable, staff were great. Other guests were a bit noisy.
Location, close to rail station.
Polite staff Clean Room icy cold on entering Heater broken in bathroom Fire alarm woke us during the night (no fire and we don't smoke) Only one channel on tv
Location There was nowhere to place clothes, jumpers etc as there were no shelves, cupboards or drawers in the room. The curtains did not fit the window but were about 8 inches away from the frame, therefore allowing daylight in all the time. The room looked and felt 'run down' with black fungus around the small shower cubicle. TV remote did not work as the batteries were expended.
its location right in the centre of town no
Fabulous location Nothing
the staff wer very helpfull & pleasent,it was veary cozzy, the meals veary good
Ambience and proximity to interesting features, Neptune's Gateway.
Friendly staff ; good food and prompt service
Friendly staff, pleasant surroundings. Good menu and reasonable prices. VG provision of toiletries. Only a couple of minor irritants. Room I had had dormer window, therefore no view and paper was peeling from wall below window. Room 6.
warm welcome, relaxed feel to place, good breakfast shower not going to win any prizes, mattress a little uncomfortable
The hotel was excellent and the food was fresh, well cooked and could be recommended to anyone.
staff very helpful. rooms were spotless.
the weather and the company. rooms not worth the money;have been in a lot better, the shower was very underpowered very poor
The location and the friendliness of the staff It feels slightly old fashioned and in need of updating
Smart looking; easy parking; modern decor inside; excellent menu for evening meals Lack of reading lamps and coffee tables. No lift.
Nice breakfasts. Good food. The modernity of the rooms and bathroom. Walking distance to station and centre. Pillows were too soft. No mini bar or fridge. Placing too close to other customers at meal times when there were other tables available.
A very friendly hotel which is clean, welcoming and has a good restaurant.
A good hotel with good staff, just felt a bit clinical, not homely.
The breakfast, and the fact our room was ready early.
Very comfortable room & good food No bad points
Brilliant Hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful well situated on the outskirts of the town. Rooms are finished to a very high standard. Food in Browns bar and Bistro is exceptional quality. None
Hotel had a luxurious feel, excellent food in the restaurant, friendly staff Pillows a bit on the soft side but that maybe just personal preference.
Good location, it's on the opposite end of the main street from the bus/train station, but only a 10-15 minute walk. Clean, comfortable room and beds. We were fortunate enough to get a room facing the canal, and it was a fantastic view. The room had a sort of bay window which was lovely. It's not exactly on the water but you get a great view of it. TV has a good range of channels. Breakfast was good. I felt it was a tad overpriced, especially after I learned there were hostel accommodations on the main street and several cute B&Bs close by. In retrospect I would've stayed in one of those to save money. Gaudy, outdated comforters and matching curtains (sorry, but someone had to say it!) They were clean, just didn't flatter the room. Towels were old and faded, but clean. Hairdryer kind of sucked, my friend got her hair caught in it twice, so be careful - there's no screen on the back to prevent that.
great atmosphere, very kind people no
Room with a view landscape simply fantastic
I stayed this hotel with my familiy (wife and two chirdren (7y &2y). The hotel had prepared a romm with triple beds when i arrived, even thought I booked a room with double beds and an extra bed.
The view was idyllic. The staff were very polite.
i liked the fact that it had free use of golf swimming and spa facilities
The view of the enchanting scenery was beautiful.
Reception were most welcoming, the situation of the hotel and the comfortable atmosphere
Comfortable faded grandeur Group conducting loud business meeting in public lounge
food was excellent, and service very good shame that the swimming pool was 2 miles down the road in other hotel
The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staff was very helpful and courteous. No midges and a drink on the patio overlooking the loch - bliss.
very friendly staff and management; very comfortable and welcoming; food very good; lovely room with stunning views; would highly recommend and would stay again nothing
Relaxed atmosphere and family nature of the hotel Limited evening menu for the restaurant.
Beautiful spotlessly clean house. Very comfortable beds and so peaceful and quiet. My husband thought the shower could have been better - not enough power but I found it perfectly satisfactory
The whole experience Nothing, we had a most enjoyable stay
A hotel of character with good facilities. The location is picturesque, the restaurant was excellent and the bar had real ale.
friendly staff, great food, relaxed atmosphere couldnt stay longer
Excellent staff ,good food and cleanliness ,decor and location of hotel
The staff were exemplary. The decor, facilities and furnishings were excellent. meals were excellent on one night and no so good on another (busier) night. I think the kitchen might be understaffed.
The owners were very friendly & helpful, our rooms were very cosy and clean. We had a very good breakfast and great dinner in the evening. Our children 9 & 11 enjoyed their stay in this family run hotel.
Everything was excellent. Food, comfort, staff, facilities and extremely good value for money
