Very peaceful location in mountains. Large well equipped bedroom.
The Aristi Mountain Resort hotel is a new hotel (only 4 years old), the roomsa are very spacious each with a veranda, beautiful surroundings, the hotel restaurant serves great food, but above all the staff were very helpful and always willing to help
Staff were all very helpful. Food very good. Mountain scenery amazing.
The owners were so friendly I immediatelly felt like home, the rooms are spacious and very well equiped (big flat tv, dvd, coffee maker etc) and they uniquely combine traditional and modern style, as for the bed, I could spend 2 hours talking about how well I slept and how comfortable the matress was! the breakfast, even though there werent many choices (it's an 8 or 9 room hotel afterall) was tasty (especially the home made jams). Everything else was great too (the view, the bath products) every single detail noticed! there's a drawback to having wooden floors and ceilings: when people from upstairs walk you can hear them. Also there wasn't a phone in my room (which could also be added as a "plus")
The food was amazing at the restaurant, rooms were designed really well nothing at all.
We were very dissapionted with the hotel, as would never classify it as small "Luxury" hotel, but as a guest house. Apart of few design items, hotel was eqipped, you do not find anything else. No reception. No telephone line in the room. No car access, you need to park about 200-300 away and climb up to the rooms. The most terrible fing, that thouse 2 nights we staied at the hotel whey didn't have a water!!! We arrived after all day driving and could'n take a shower. In the deep everning water was on... Next morning again off... no morning toitet... We did 8 hours trekking trip in Vikos corge, came back late and againg after all couldn't take shower!!!! No water again. It was horrible. Hotel management is not able to oprete it as hotel.
The setting is fantastic - you feel you're on top of the world! The rooms are comfortable (not luxury) and we really liked the "eco/wood" style. Home made cakes for breakfast. You have to leave your car by the church and walk up the steep cobbled village streets to get to the hotel - but they will then come and collect your bags. The word "luxury" is a little misleading (but it is perfectly comfortable for those used to luxury hotels!). The shower-room was small with no window - but well-equipped and fine for a couple of nights. The owners hardly speak English - but they did a great job to make us feel at home.
The hotel was perfectly located for hiking, visiting other villages and all that the Vikos Gorge had to offer. One of the owners- was a wonderful host- answering any questions we had as well as just being a really nice guy!
The friendly service. The size of the room. Breakfasts série a little plain.
Friendly and polite staff, nice building, nice and clean room. It was really difficult driving to the hotel, with a narrow and slippery street. The hotel is nice, and the effort to transform an old house in a characteristic hotel is appreciable, but for the same price you could easily find other hotels with "international" standards. Ano Pedina village is not the best among the villages in the area.
hospitality, excellent service, very nice people, freindly
Warm friendly welcome, given hot tea and cake and comfortably seated in lovely reception room. Most comfortable bed in 5 weeks of European travel.Soft ,fluffy bathrobes, slippers & towels. Tealight candles supplied. Breakfast was only cake (?), breads, jams, etc. Should offer cereals, and especially yogurt with greek honey.
Relaxing environment, great hospitality, delicious home-made breakfast!
Hotel: Polite and helpful staff, nice building, clean, beautifully decorated room. Rich breakfast, served at the balcony in front of our room. Location: Ano Pedina is in a convenient location to explore the area of Zagorochoria. Hotel: Value for money could be improved. Not directly relevant to the hotel: a) there was an all-night party at the village square, so it was impossible to sleep one night. Take ear plugs and ask for such events before booking. b) Ano Pedina is not one of the most beautiful villages in the area.
amazing. Yannis was a great host, very informative on locations and restaurants near by. The room was beautiful and breakfast was wonderful. Nothing.
warm and friendly environment, great location, very nice breakfast with great variety and taste (...older reviews regarding poor breakfast should not be valid anymore), highly recommended both for couples and group of friends the room was not cleaned everyday
We liked the Konstantinou & Elenis hotel. The room was large, cosy, warm, well equipped and with a fireplace - that was a nice surprise. Location is good - it is very easy to find this hotel in Monodendri. it is in walking distance from Paraskevi Monastery and Vikos Gorge. Good value for money. The hotel staff has some problems with English language but they really try to be nice.
- beautiful location in a small romantic village with a teriffic view of the mountains; - nice design of rooms in traditional greek style with a personal touch; - good staff; - excellent cafe/taverna outside - breakfast is served rather late which is not very convinient for the travellers (as we had to leave early in the morning)
