9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 2 nights here after our Safari trip. This is the perfect place to relax, refresh and recover from a long trip. The Hostel is located in a nice and quiet area, and you can walk to some nice waterfalls. The staff is amazing (especially Nam), she even woke up at 4:00AM to make breakfast for us before our flight to Zanzibar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Mambo for two nights and the service was incredibly friendly and personal. It had a laid back vibe, exemplified by the honour system in paying for drinks and all the meals we had were well-priced and well-portioned as well as tasting fantastic! The thing that stands out most was the helpfulness of Aziz, the owner. He helped book our bus to Dar for 6.30am on the morning we left, and then got up to take us to the stop and wait with us. This was far more than we could have reasonably asked for but he was extremely happy to help. Thanks for an amazing stay, Aziz!

Cons: Nothing , was as good as expected and little more on top :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean rooms and facilities. Amazing staff who nothing is a problem for! Food yum, breakfast great.
Cons: Slightly difficult to find, however we used an independent taxi who didn’t know the property - if we had taken the property up on its offer of organising a taxi for us this wouldn’t have been an issue.

Pros: Greeted with delicious fresh juice. Very nice owners. Yummy dinner and breakfast. The beds were really comfortable (our family took the room with the 4 bunk beds) with a private bathroom. We arrived too late and left too early the next morning to explore much so can't comment about location but really cute grounds where you can sit outside and relax. Just what we needed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really nice. She woke up at 5pm to make breakfast for us and arranged a taxi to airport. The food is good. The wifi is good and working. The atmosphere is quiet and well decorated.

Pros: I loved the property and atmosphere - amazing staff, incredible food (loads of banana and other fresh seasonal food), clean room and bathroom, loads of privacy but also a great communal atmosphere with people from all over the world. It is a must do to see the farm and waterfall which is free and such a mind-blowing informative experience. Definitely recommend and wish I had stayed longer. Such good value for money!!!

Pros: The room is cheap, the place is quiet and clean. They always have bananas for you to eat for free.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't say enough about the Arusha Residence Boutique Hotel. We arrived late, and they welcomed us at the vehicle, grabbed our luggage, and saw us to the front desk. Checking in was a breeze, and we were shown to our absolutely stunning room. The room was quiet, large, and clean, and the air conditioning was most welcome. The next morning, a beautiful breakfast was served promptly and to order. We extended a night, and had an amazing dinner--the only challenge was choosing from all the amazing choices! The wine list is terrific, too! The staff accommodated our every request, and we booked a third night at the end of our safari. We arrived to discover we'd been upgraded to the suite. The suite was beyond belief...a sitting room, giant bedroom, and a bathroom with a giant tub! There were 3 closets! Again, the hotel and staff swept us off our feet! 9.3 Excellent
Pros: From deep down my heart, Jay - the host, deserves a 7 star! That says enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was amazing again lovely dinner friendly staff amazing breakfast . I just love it any thanks to JAy and the team
9.3 Excellent
Pros: nice breakfast, far too much to eat it all, not every day the same. rooms are clean, good beds. If you like you can also eat have dinner (extended at a reasonable price)
Cons: ??
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is somehow not easy to find, it's very good to have GPS or at least google maps. Coming from north, leave the main road and follow the small road to the left (it goes up a little bit). After like 100m go right into the very small. You reach a black yard gate. Knock or step in and find the lovely Sinzia Villas. Jay plus team are extremely friendly and helpful, welcoming you like family members. If you expect to have a totally anonymous stay, you might want to choose another option. Enjoy a very good breakfast and ask in the night for dinner options. They cook delicious.
Cons: i was only missing a tissue holder at the toilet. Maybe a mirror over the sink might be helpful in the morning when doing the last style for the day.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A converted house to B&B, we were the only guests during our stays at Sinzia Villas (we stayed before and after climbing). Finding it requires asking around--it's not obvious from the street. But, once found, it was exactly what we needed: It is well-priced, super clean, and the owner, Jay, and staff are very helpful and attentive. We ate SO well and had great dinners ($7 pp) and big breakfasts (included) every night and morning, respectively. Jay also stored some bags for us, which helped us out a lot. Please note, it is about a $5 cab ride to Arusha city center.
Cons: While absolutely functional (and particularly glorious after climbing), I would say that the bathroom in our room was a bit of a work-in-progress--it's missing a toilet seat and mirror. The shower is also a bit of trickle.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Nice staff, spent evening watching movies together. Clean and basic.
Cons: No bug nets over the beds. Bitten by mosquitos during the night.
7.0 Good
Pros: Super friendly and accommodating staff. Very much appreciated their help with booking taxis and airport pick-up
Cons: I think they need to have mosquito nets -- I got a few bites at nite. Offering a fan would also be great because it was a bit warm at night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the chef made us incredible food! Very impressive.
Cons: A fan in the bedroom would’ve been nice as it was a very hot sleep. But it was still very comfortable.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff was very welcoming.
Cons: Hidden location.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a homely stay with welcoming hosts. It is more like a AirBnb then a hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: People are very Nice and helpfull Good bed
Cons: Location

Pros: Great breakfast - fresh fruit, pancakes, toast and omelette! Pearl and Emmanuel were very welcoming and had good tips for eating nearby. Room was very comfortable and all really clean.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Emmanuel, the owner is amazing. He took us himself to a breathtaking waterfall hike and coffee plantation tour, which was out of the world. My wife got an amazing braiding of her hair, we met very nice people in the hostel. Christine, the caretaker of the hostel is very friendly and takes care of the laundry, and can even get you stuff from the supermarket. Food cooked in the hostel was very good. Overall I think it was an excellent stay.

Pros: The breakfast, the nice staff, good WiFi, very clean, very nicely equipped with large living room, you feel very safe, free drinking water,...
Cons: Nothing to complain about, this is a really welcoming and nice place (:
5.8 Okay
Pros: The owner - girl speaking Swahili seems to be great person, but stuffs are not good.
Cons: - slow wifi, sometimes does not work - distance from Arusha, better to stay in Arusha for more money and save for overprized taxi - don't take tours provided by hostel, it's rip-off - just one toilet for all the rooms and apartments. - the stuffs try to cheat
Mount Meru Hotel - Arusha - Building

5.5 Okay
Cons: It is really loud at night. They have many conferences and weddings, which take the overhand and are at the expense of hotel guests.
6.8 Good
Pros: The F & B Manager made a point of contacting me to hear my complaint direct.
Cons: The pillows were old and had a bad smell. The food at breakfast was not replenished in time on 2 consecutive days of operation, this was brought to the attention of the F & B Manager. There are long delays in serving the tea and coffee.
6.8 Good
Pros: Beds are hard. Property needs a bit of upkeep, especially for the price. Closet doors broken, fridge stinky.
Cons: Staff appears to be trained to be very abrupt. Not unfriendly or disrespectful, just stand offish which is contrary to the general population attitude
6.8 Good
Pros: The lobby the restaurants and the garden are exceptional very well maintained .
Cons: I find that my room was not well maintained there was peeling paint and other things wrong inside the room maintenance needs to be upgraded throughout the rooms and the floors
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good service at all and friendly staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed here before and always like the convenience of the hotel and that it's a mere 20 minutes drive to/from airport (without traffic), fairly close to everything else and that there's always taxi's available outside the gate, the rooms are adequate and clean.
Cons: This time around I was really disappointed with the staff and the reception. I respect the fact that I'm a visitor in their country and that English is their second language, but it was a struggle to communicate with them at reception. In a nutshell, 4 calls later to reception, 2 trips down to reception, 1 trip back up to the room with someone showing them what I need, 1 hour later I got a plug for my bath, yes, all that for something that should have taking 10min to sort out.The lady at reception just didn't understand?!! Even the waiters at breakfast where all so letharigic and we had to go look for someone to bring us some coffee. This is usually not the case at this Hotel. Maybe it was the weather?..rainy and cold (which was lovely by the way!)
10.0 Excellent
Cons: the food could be better
7.5 Good
Pros: It was is a ‘generic’ type hotel, very comfortable, clean and safe. Could be anywhere in the world really!
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: The variety of the spread of the breakfast is perfect. The Room is clean and comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom would be better with shower curtain or door to sperate the shower area from dry area.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here with three friends before and after our Safari. All the staff were really helpful and accommodating. Catherine was very friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, the showers were warm and there were loads of nice places to chill. A delicious dinner was also included on each night which was great as it is about a twenty walk to Arusha town.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The common area is quite nice. The stay includes breakfast and dinner for free which was very nice. Even though the surrounding area is not the best we felt save in the guest house because it is secured.
Cons: The location of the hostel is in a quite bad area. The street there is so bad that some drivers don't want to drive you there. And you don't want to walk around there when it is dark.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Best staff, great atmosphere, food is good (and included in the price!), I loved staying here!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Having all meals included was a big plus (but keep in mind they’re fairly basic and you may want to supplement them with your own groceries). The staff were nice and worked very hard to keep the hostel clean and comfortable for guests. They have 2 dogs that are friendly.
Cons: A bit out of the way, but fine if you don’t mind taking a taxi or walking for 15-20 minutes to get into town.

Pros: Staff is friendly. When we asked for a musquito net they provided one, there were musquitos in the room. Not standard service.
Cons: Bedsheets, towels not clean. Also the blanket they provide is without any extra sheet, very unhygienic. The shower/bathroom is shared, very bad shower without any pressure and we had to squat because it is very low.

We would definitely recommend Hekima house!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Note: I stayed here firstly for 2 nights and then another night after my safari, in two different rooms. The property is located too far from the town to walk, so luckily there is a restaurant open all day with a large range of food, including all day breakfast. The outdoor restaurant area is also nice to sit in and generally the WiFi works there, although the view of the mountain is mostly obscured. I like to drink something that the property doesn't sell, and they let me store my drink in the kitchen fridge and drink it with my meals. I had trouble both booking a Safari and a subsequent flight, the manager helped me to find a Safari through Mauly Tours which turned out to be amazing and one of the staff went beyond her duties to help me get in contact with the airline. The hotel can also organise airport pick ups and drop off which can be paid to them, meaning you can pay by credit card. I enjoyed both my stays here, while both rooms had their quirks, it was nice enough being somewhere peaceful and safe with helpful staff and good food.
Cons: Note: I stayed here firstly for 2 nights and then another night after my safari, in two different rooms. On the second stay, which was in an outside room, there were no blinds or coverings over the top windows, making it hot in the daytime and too light in the morning. The first room, inside and upstairs, had problems with the TV and internet and a really old appearance.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Boulevard Inn Mount Meru offers very good quality accommodation and food for its price range compared to the many other hotels in Arusha that charge about double the night. They might not have the full luxury (SPA, swimming pool, etc.), but the beer garden, variety of food and staff is compensating for that. The breakfast can be chosen a la carte and is far above expectations for a hotel in this price segment.
Cons: A minor issue: The staff is playing a music playlist that after a couple of days is a little irritating, as it repeats itself every day. Access to downtown Arusha is a little bit further, 15 min walk - but no problem with a taxi, motorbike or tuktuk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very quaint place to stay. They took great care of us.
Cons: The area around the Hotel was a little concerning. I did feel safe to walk around.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a very cool and big outside restaurant, the hotel is very stylish and comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Boulevard Inn offers many great perks. The staff if amazing, the food is wonderful, and the view of Meru (when it peeks out of the clouds) is great. I found the rooms to be well appointed and comfortable and will definitely be going back for dinner and drinks overlooking Meru while I'm still in Arusha!
Cons: There wasn't somebody always promptly attending the front desk, so I waited there for a little bit to check out. Definitely hot a huge problem.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms, close to center, amazing view, chill out sitting areas
Cons: Repeat on music button, same music all the time....but it was not a big issue. Tip for hotel: bring sofaes to balconies
10.0 Excellent

The staff was friendly, the breakfast very tasty and the fact that you can take drinks and note it done on a list created an atmosphere of trust. After a day of meetings or fieldvisits I could come back in the tranquility of villa poa and get some work done thanks to the good wifi.
Cons: I came often in late and left early therefore I didn't see the owners often (And I finally had to search someone to be able to pay when I wanted to leave early in the morning)
7.0 Good
Cons: The beds were very comfortable. BEWARE- do not get your laundry done here. The women is a scammer and did a crappy job. Everything else was great.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Africa Amini Life is absolutely gorgeous and secluded place!!! We fell in love with it!!! It is located just behind Arusha National Park and far from the city and crowd which gives you an amazing opportunity to relax in the heart of nature among mountains, beautiful forest, singing of birds and other animals. Africa Amini is a charitable project set up by an Austrian lady to support local community (they built school, hospital, orphanage and other facilities). Nature Homes is one of the hotels that belongs to the project. These are few houses located on the hill with a view of Mt Meru from your porch. The team of the hotel will make your stay impeccable. Chef Ellie was cooking delicious breakfasts and dinners for us which were server on our porch. There is also a fire place that AAL team will be happy to arrange for you every evening. Nature walks, mount climbing, safari also can be organized. There is a very nice restaurant with good food and a view that belong to AAL. It is in a little distance from Nature Homes so either you can walk or staff can drop you there. The lodge itself is very beautiful, cozy, clean and spacious. There was hot water, wifi, many books and anything you need. Important note : the easiest way to get to the hotel is through Arusha National Park. I would recommend to do safari in the park on the way to the hotel to avoid paying park fees twice. And keep entry tickets till the day you check out from the hotel so that you can use the same road through the park again for a small fee. There is another road but it took us more than 2 hours to get to the main Arusha-Moshi road from there as we didn't keep the receipts and they wanted to charge us the whole park entry fees. We would definitely come back and stay longer next time, and would recommend the place to our friends. Great thing is that you not only having an amazing vacation but also doing a little support to a charitable project. Thank you!
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing, big, comfy, great bed, view, very relaxing! The food prepared by staff was fantastic, well served and timely. It's a fantastic place to sleep and rest!
Cons: We had made a transfer pick up a reservation with Naki, who confirmed the pickup and later when we arrived in Arusha they were not there. We called Naki with the phone of the taxi drivers who stay in front of the airport, but she didn't pick the phone. Later, we managed to speak to her but we were told that our transfer hadn't been arranged and that the driver would be late. We went for a local driver, who helped us at the airport and that took nearly four hours to get to the guesthouse. For those who come after a 20 hours flight, four hours to get to the guesthouse was quite a stretch. The local drivers do not know the way (even if they say they do) and we were lost for hours without food, water, etc. We found this very disrespectful as we had received the confirmation from Naki and had informed her the same morning we flew to Arusha that our flight was on time. It could have been a pleasant journey if our agreement had been fulfilled. I hope this critical feedback helps the guesthouse to improve this service, which is essential considering the remote location they have.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly staff. Good food and service.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The project is fabulous they built an hospital, school, orphanage, all the village goes better thanks to amini life ! When you go there you help the whole community ! Everybody is amazing there. The view is also perfect, a quiet place to rest and disconnect.

Pros: I liked the view, the food was nice and the care we had from stuff.
Cons: nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The perfect view. very halpful and friendle staff. It`s not tipical hotel but place is like country house. It`s a few houses near local village. In the village there is a bast place for having lunch; under huge tree, with Kilimanjaro view (tasty and cheep meal). The house is cosy. There is no any noise, very calm place! good wifi
Cons: You can have many troubes with road to hotel: for fast way you should pay Arusha park fees, Transfer which is provided by hotel costs approximatly 100 dollars one way and requires 1-1.5 hour. Taxi drivers don`t know the right way!! First time our trip took 4 hour!!! Be careful: arter airport you should go to the right (road to Moshi) or if you go at direction to Arusha, you sholg go througt it and after that tirn right! There is a third way to hotel: turn right before Arusha. Dont`t choose this way! The road is awful! It consists of potholes only!! Safari tours are a little bit expensive
