Pros. We loved this old country inn! our room was small but cozy and cute as could be. No A/C but a big fan was provided. The shower is super small, but heck, the hotel was built over 100 years ago. The grounds are amazing complete with a yurt in the woods and a nice 15 walk through the woods. The pond is spring fed. Due to the virus we never saw the staff. Our keys were in an envelope at the front door and our breakfast basket was left outside the room door. The large living room would be fun to sit in once we do that sort of stuff again. There was even a piano! They nicely had water, soda and snacks for self-service sale for $1 in the living room.
Cons. nothing. We loved it but we also are super happy to stay in places that aren't cookie-cutter. We will definitely go back as the inn is only 5 minutes away from the entrance to the National Park.
Pros. I was able to get a reservation on the day of arrival on a holiday weekend. When we arrived we were upgraded to a lovely room overlooking a pond with many amenities. We even received a gift bag. There was a sitting area and a full bathroom. The room was clean. Included was a TV and a plug in "fireplace" for ambiance. Perfect location for our pre-backpacking night near the park.
Cons. The ligh tswitch in the room was broken. We told the staff, but knew it couldn't be fixed so late. We were able to move a lamp to get better lighting. The floor under our table in the dining room was not clean.
