Pros: Service, Service, Service simply AMAZING. family loved everything from the locations, bar, food, snacks. Can't wait to go back.
Cons: only thing I did not like was that I had to leave.
Pros: Beach front, cool staff, service A+, nice area. We enjoyed the stay will be back.
Cons: The only thing I would say is the bathrooms are small. AB needs to get a local sports bars. Everything is within walking distance besides that.
Pros: Nice oceanfront property with updated interiors and guest rooms. Staff was friendly enough, though we had little interaction.
Cons: From the second we arrived, we were corralled in to valet parking, an added $25 not mentioned when we booked and self-park in their lot was not an option. It appeared as though someone had just used the bathroom in our room prior to check-in. We quickly dropped our things, sprayed the room and went to dinner. Upon waking we noticed the floor-to-ceiling windows were streaked with possibly months of filth, rendering our view to a salt-stained picture. After using the shower we noticed the glass enclosure allowed water to collect on the floor outside the shower, many gallons of it.
Pros: Snacks and drinks we're included in the price and refreshed on call and/or once daily. There was 1 button on the phone where I could call for whatever we needed. The people who brought up bags and snacks were extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: The water was literally blistering hot and the shower head was fixed so that the water couldn't be turned away from my body, I hung a dress to be steamed in the shower and when I opened the door the fire alarm when off.. Also the door in the bathroom scraped the toilet every time it was opened or closed. Getting ready with my friend was hot and cramped. One day we forgot to put the do not disturb button on and the maids came in and turned the air to 66 degrees. Imagine coming back from the beach wet to a sudden ice storm... The staff wasn't very friendly at the front desk. It's a small lobby and they would just look down when we walked in instead of saying anything. Also no late check out was permitted "for anyone" the service staff was much more friendly than the managers/people at the front desk
Pros: The staff went above and beyond for me during my stay. I felt completley pampered and relaxed my entire week here.
Pros: Service was good.
Cons: For the pricier luxury corner view room it was anything but, the view of the cluttered storage area was nice. We could land a plane in the entry way but barely could fit in the bathroom, with no bathtub, only a tight shower stall. It was a fight with the door just to go in there. The room service coffee truly was awful tasting. Kayak stated $15 parking per day, which is ridiculous enough but it was actually $25 per day. Parking should be included in the room price, no one walks to Florida to stay at a luxurious hotel. The room doors need anti-slam devices, every five minutes all night long there was a nice "Bam!" to keep you on your toes in case insomnia was your goal. Nope you can't park your own car, here is a $25 bill, please tip the valet %22 as well or we'll just charge you for it, oh yeah add a $25 per day luxury tax per day and %14 for the "other" taxes. Around $350 per night is more accurate.
Pros: Everything was amazing from location, staff and cleanliness.
Pros: Loved pretty much everything about the hotel. The beach access is incredible -- literally just steps away. The pool was amazing -- lovely waterfall and hot tub. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but that was expected -- it was the weekend of the NCAA tournament and there were several weddings. Still had a decent selection of food for myself and my vegetarian friend. The view from our room was great. The hotel staff were ALL friendly and attentive, from the housekeepers to the front desk staff to whoever answered the phone when I called to make changes to my reservation. We were all tired from driving all day to get there and wanted some food delivered. Their pizza recommendation was great! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.
AND it's only a few blocks away from an awesome district of bars and restaurants. Great place to stay!
Pros: We loved the location - Jacksonville Beach oceanfront is unlike any tourist city, instead you have beautiful, clean beaches, along with the charm of a residential / shopping town (no tourist shops at all). You are in walking distance to a ton of restaurants, which is ideal. The hotel itself is really nice - the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing. (Our kids preferred that to the beach.) Everything was clean and looked great. The breakfast buffet was also really good, and it wasn't the same thing every morning either. Plus, free WiFi, free parking, fitness center (cardio and dumbbells), business center, free breakfast and the amazing pool makes it well worth it.
Cons: The one and only weightlifting machine in the fitness center is broken. The WiFi is free, but it was extremely spotty. We were on the 6th floor, oceanfront, and we never had more than one bar of service - it also dropped often. The walls are really thin, so if you have loud neighbors, be ready to hear everything they are saying. There were never enough towels at the pool, so we ended up having to wait 20 minutes for clean towels on more than one occasion. Also, in our room at least, the weather insulation on the door leading to the balcony is missing in several places, so our room got pretty warm and humid as the day got hot. BUT - all that being said, none of those was a deal breaker, and overall I would stay here again.
Pros: Loved the hotel! It's the first time I've been there since it was converted from a Comfort in. The lobby seems dark n not very open. The room was clean & comfotrable.
Cons: That I probably over paid- it was $230 for a Sat night but the same room is about $100 cheap during the week

Pros: I have never seen a bathroom so white in all my life. I have stayed in a Hampton Inn in Cincinnati and I was heartbroken to leave. I just love the Hampton Inns.
Pros: Clean, well managed, courteous and affordable stay. Not on the beach but short trip to them. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the desk folks were friendly and helpful.
Pros: The beds were fantastic. Best sleep ever!
Cons: Small pool.
Pros: Very friendly and accommodative staff who go above and beyond to fulfill your needs! Real clean room with comfortable queen beds. Great stay. Will come back again.
Pros: I liked the friendliness of the staff and how easy it was to check in and check out with no hassle!
Cons: Only down side was that the coffee maker in the room w as missing a piece so i couldnt make coffee in the morning
Pros: Everything was top notch and at an affordable price. Clean rooms. Clean facility. Friendly, courteous staff. All around great place to stay.
Pros: decent location
Cons: When I checked out, the hotel had no record of me paying for the room, which was charged to my CC a month before. The whole process was handled poorly leaving me to do all the dirty work all while trying to catch a flight. On a ending note when I got the receipt from the hotel they were 50$ cheaper than you charged me. Never using you guys again.
Pros: Location is good

Pros: Great hotel clean up to date. It is directly on the beach. Staff is amazing and the rooms are very nice. Would highly recommend this property.
Pros: My grandson and I enjoyed our stay immensely. It's hard to pick just one facet so I will list them all:
Beachfront balcony and view overlooking the pool, Jacuzzi, fire pit sitting area and the beach. The morning sunrise and nighttime moonlight over the ocean is indescribably beautiful.
We loved the beach and my grandson loved the pool, that he was able to stay in even though it rained (no lightning, of course).
I loved having my cousins come and dine with me at the fire pit. We just had pizza and an enjoyable evening. They said we have to meet there every time I come back!
The housekeeping staff was very helpful even though I did not need them to come in and clean daily. They always took the dirty linen and provided clean towels when we asked.
The Front Desk staff were very friendly and often provided suggestions on upcoming events for kids, so that my grandson could participate. Definitely will be coming back for future vacations!
Cons: The only thing that might be an improvement is to have a screen door so that we can have the ocean sounds without the bugs.
Another improvement might be a economical breakfast menu. The prices were a little extreme for a breakfast sandwich. But not to worry too much, there were many good places nearby. And you pay for convenience, right?
Pros: All of the staff were incrediably nice. The bartender even shared a pie he was taking home with me because it was my birthday! I highly recommend this property!!!!!!

Pros: I stayed here a couple of nights when I was in town on business. We arrived very late the first night and somehow I was still awake when breakfast started at 6am. It was pretty amazing, so I guess I'm glad I had extra work that night.
The next evening the hotel staff was very helpful in answering some questions, don't remember his name but he was under 21 and couldn't help with bar recommendations. But he did make a mean peanut butter cookie!
Missed breakfast the second day, but didn't leave without getting a cup of their 24/7 coffee. All Holiday Inn Express locations should be like this one. Just great!
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful overall. Service good overall.
Cons: Housekeeping very sloppy. Didn't vacuum room for seven days.
Cleaned all food out of my refrigerator a day early.

Pros: They are renovating the place and we stayed in an oceanfront room that had been updated. It was Fantastic. Staff were great.
Cons: Front desk lobby is a little cramped.
Cons: Late check in time
Pros: I loved the location
Cons: The bathroom was disgusting. I found a used qtip in between the "clean" towels, hair and urine all over the toilet, hair on the tub and floor of the bathroom, and it looked like everything was thrown in the room in a hurry.
Pros: Being so close to the ocean.... loved it. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the evening was a nice touch. Thanks
Pros: excellent ocean view!
location in central Jacksonville Beach, ships, night life
Cons: tiny pool in parking lot

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the old photos.

For a bite to eat, guests can check out penthouse lounge, which serves dinner and offers a beachfront location. 5 beach bars and a bar/lounge are other highlights at this historic hotel, and rooms offer refrigerators and room service.
Pros: The staff at the Best Western Mayport was fantastic. Millie was magnificent and extremely helpful. I arrived early and my room was not ready yet and she let me know and offered several options to bide my time in the hotel as well as nearby shops - within walking distance.
The breakfast was very good the next morning. However, most importantly the room was amazing.
Great place to spend the afternoon and night.
Pros: There is a city park a couple miles north called Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park with a gorgeous 1.5 mile stretch of beach.
Pros: We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The hotel met all our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not only is the hotel right on the beach, but also in the midst of a number of really neat shops and restaurants. The area is designed for walking traffic, so we barely moved the car once we arrived. We will be back!
Situated by the ocean, Seahorse Oceanfront Inn is a great choice for a stay in Neptune Beach. After splashing around at the outdoor pool, you can unwind with a drink at the pool bar. Bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves are offered in all rooms, along with balconies or patios and free WiFi.
Pros: The staff was super friendly and answered all questions. Clean rooms. Nice pool. Great hot breakfast.
Cons: Room did not have any soap/shampoo/conditioner, but the staff took care of that once we asked.
Pros: Close to the beach, easy check in and check out, clean enough despite the low price. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. If you're looking for somewhere inexpensive but minutes from the beach, this is perfect. We were hardly there except to catch Game of Thrones on Sunday night on the decent TV with HBO. Comfy beds and pillows.
Pros: proximity to family in the area
Cons: Room smelled of cigarette smoke, had no linens and trash wasn't emptied; establishment needs updating as does overall service
Pros: Other than the location, the front desk staff at check-in were great
Cons: Sheets had stains and hair all over the bed. Shower walls had hair on them. The shower curtains had an awful smell like
Cons: Needs better coffee.
Pros: One mile from the beach, access to the fitness LA across the street, great staff.
Pros: Good breakfast, comfortable lodging, close to beach, restauants, shopping.
Cons: walls looked like they were about to fall down, it was all just gross every bit of it
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: Place was run down and needs overhaul
Cons: When we first arrived to our room it was around 4a.m. so we were ready to get some sleep after traveling a long while. The room was cold but we didn't mind and just went straight to sleep. When we woke up a few hours later, we both were sneezing, coughing and felt congested. Husband then checked out the ac unit and it was set in the 50's! After we adjusted the temp is, we had to head out to check-in to Mayo clinic, upon returning is when we started noticing an odor. Was a long day so we stayed the night since we had some business to handle the next morning.
Morning came, same symptoms, we're gone for the majority of the morning and afternoon, upon returning is when the mildew smell was unbearable. So we decided to cut the trip short and head back instead of staying an extra 2 days. If we would have had more time, we would have packed up and found somewhere else.
Pros: I thought the room was small, but was pretty clean. The check in and out was smooth and easy.and the staff friendly and efficient.
Cons: The food offered was almost inedible to me. I was able to eat the raisin bran with 2% milk and some OJ. The eggs and waffles and other offerings were from packages and of straight, white flour and sugar, main stream type foods, which I rejected years ago. The TV was old and I had a horrible picture until I fiddled with the connection and it became clear again. The building is old, but well kept. No hot tub anymore, now a planter box. The air conditioner is old and not quiet. The rooms were being painted and the hallway was a mess, with lots of odors, once outside the room.

Cons: wifi never available
well worn bathrooms
11.30pm arriving many people drinking and making noise in the corridors as a suburb exteriore
Pros: There was nothing that I liked about the place....staff acted like they were being bothered, dead roach on desk, bleach spots & burn holes on bed, mirrors dirty...No WiFi either I called desk 3 times about it and nothing was ever said or done.
I will never stay there again....
Pros: The price was great. The room was acceptable. The staff helped when asked. Breakfast was ok. My vehicle was unmolested overnight.
Cons: I was double charged for the room. There was a rather large hole in the bathroom wall behind the door. The night desk employee was rude. A cot was only available at an additional cost.
Pros: It's one of the cheapest motels close to the beach.
Cons: When I turned the sink on a strong Fish odor came from the faucet.
Pros: the staff that i complained to (about the room NOT BEING CLEAN) was very nice.
i specified i was not talking about her as a person, but i was referring to the room.
however after long minutes on the phone, i got a compensation for the lack of hygiene
Cons: the room was NOT CLEAN.
ALL sheets were stained, all pillow cases, as well as all towels
.mirrors were not wiped;, there was mold on the wall, on the chair and on the inside of the entrance door
the carpet was VERY DIRTY AND STAINED
Pros: At $103 for a queen double non smoking, this was unacceptable. The first room had dirty towels hanging in it, and the sink did not drain. There wasn't much to like. The pool appeared clean, but the pool chaise chairs had broken slats where your bottom goes, probably pinching or tearing ones suit. It was a lawsuit waiting to happen. I can't express enough how smelly the second and third rooms were.
Cons: After moving to two subsequent rooms, each smelled musty and moldy. I picked the final room they offered because I had paid upfront, and needed rest, but the smell had non subsided, even though it was suggested that this would be better. This was a business trip for the Naval station up the road, so I needed to be close.
Pros: Place was a good value except that the WiFi did not work in my room and so I only stayed 1 day. Staff agreed to refund me for the two days I did not stay.
Pros: I didn't like anything about this hotel. It was cheap but I would pay more money for a room before staying there again.
Cons: Room was dirty(bag of chips under bed, tub had roach droppings ) , several items were broken inside(lamp shades and the front of the drawers under the TV). Seemed like rooms were rented by the hour with the people that were hanging in and around the parking lot.
