Staff were extremely proactive, kind and helpful
Nice apartment that had everything we needed. liked the security of electric access gates to the grounds and the apartment block. Relatively quiet for Auckland. It was the quietest apartment I've stayed in in Auckland recently. I've visited 3 times in the last 5 weeks and I slept really well here.
Only thing missing was there were no teaspoons. Not a huge issue.
It was just right and simple
Very clean and tidy. Compact but very nice. Great location. Facilities were very nice. Secure. Understanding staff. Good shower and washing machine facilities. Quiet. Laundry powder and shampoo, soap, dish washing liquid soap provided
Street lights were a little bright outside blinds (i think the roller blind was mounted backwards).
1. We loved the modern homely comfort with everything we needed. The apartment is a well thought-out laid space. 2. Everything was immaculately clean and well presented. 3. Location is excellent with close proximity and ease for walking distance to the city center. 4. A private balcony and beautiful view of the Sky Tower is a plus. 5. We loved having laundry facilities included in the apartment for convenience. 6. Easy key access into the grounds and building with great security. Regarding wheelchair access: Not sure if there are specialized rooms to cater for mobility impairments, but I did notice that after checking into the main office on Queen St, then turning around the corner to open the main front gate to access the grounds is a little steep, especially when wrangling luggage at the same time. When raining the ground is slippery. Access into the main gate is an easy wave of the key code but you will need to physically push the gate to open and close as it doesn't automatically open nor close on it's own. Likewise entering the door into the building. Exiting the main front gate there is a large wall button to push to unlock it but again you will need to push the gate yourself to open and close behind you as it isn't automatic. There is elevator access into the buildings to each level with good lobby/hall space to access apartment. 7. Excellent shower with two shower-head options for convenience of person's height. 8. Kitchen space & cupboard space is great. A dishwasher too, which we never needed. A decent sized fridge/freezer, microwave & cookware needed is provided. 9. Bedroom closet space is excellent inclusive of a heater if needed, ironing board & iron and extra blanket/pillow 10. Note: These are serviced apartments - daily, wonderful! 11. There is a small Countdown grocery store within walking distance 1.
1. Price of parking was the main snag of disappointment for us. There is plenty of parking options nearby but not having something more permanent as part of the actual apartment facility wasn't ideal nor convenient. The Wilson's car park facilities next door are horrendously expensive and most likely typical due to convenience of location to city center. You have to pre-pay parking in advance to ensure you have a spot. Use of the automated parking meter outside of car-park is very user friendly. If returning to car park after hours (e.g. 10pm) you have to call the car park attendant number on the sign to open the gates (they see you from a camera somewhere & see your car plate number that you registered), so there is no automatic key code access to come and go as you please making access a little inconvenient but good to know your vehicle is secure. 2. More kitchen cutlery and crockery was definitely needed. There is only enough knives, forks, spoons etc. for 2 people, when enough for 4-6 people would be ideal to help save on water usage from doing dishes all the time. Not a problem if eating out for all meals, but we were missing a cutlery knife and only had one.
