Towards the end of the board walk Close to several eating places Outside music / bar on property 2 free hrs. bicycle rental Staff very nice and helpful Free WiFi You can only check in until 9 and then office closes Was not given Wi-Fi password and it wasn't in the room so I couldn't work my first night (apology given, and accepted)
Quaint, friendly staff. We chose the Rip Tide because we wanted the charm of the classic motel/hotels of years ago & it fit our wants/needs Definitely not their fault, but Mother Nature put a "damper" on our stay!! We made the best of it but could only imagine that nicer weather would've only made the charm & experience that much better!
on the beach bar scene
Location and room They were not there to check us in- we had to wait an hour in the heat outside. The suite had window unit that was off, therefore the suite was extremely hot. It did not cool down. Florida was in the 90s. We slept hot. Expensive to receive this service.
Great location & solid WiFi! (Hotel Employee) & staff were very nice & attentive. Even threw party for guests during local parade. Hotel 1 block from beach & boardwalk with restaurants & bars in short walking distance. Washer & Everything was at the very least acceptable.
Location and cleanliness and the fact that I could cook and not have to go out and eat. The price.
This place is a hidden little gem among larger hotels. .its only one block from the beach and small places to eat...has the 50s nostalgia feel to it..stayed here overnight before a cruise and will definitely stay here again....place is spotless. ..doesnt have all the bells and whistles of larger hotels but who cares.....
Location proximity to beach Nice patio area with grill but you couldn't have guest . Stayed at ocean drive ville for previous 5 night and were alowed guest and parking was included in room price which was equavalant in cost
I wasn't murdered during the hour I spent in the parking lot, waiting for someone to show up to check me in. There was no one in the "24 hour office" to check me in. I spoke with an employee earlier in the day to let her know I'd be a late arrival, and she said she'd be there. She wasn't. I couldn't check in. still haven't been refunded. Also, the location is downright scary! Stay away.
The staff are very courteous, and the rooms were quite clean. The rooms are small, but as prior reviewers have said, it's a budget inn. It's not 24 hours, so if you are going to be late, do call them to let them know you'll be arriving late. Upon check-in, we were given a remote with access to Netflix. I did not take any photos of the room, but the room had a full-size bed and tv on the wall. There is a small rack on the left for hanging clothes. The bathroom was tiny; I wouldn't expect someone significantly overweight to be able to use the facilities with any ease. Countertops are granite. There is a small in-room refrigerator and microwave with ample space to place your food/beverage/extra bags. It wasn't terribly noisy. We heard some news from people outside, who quieted down after a few minutes, and you can hear a lot of the traffic from the street. There were only two electrical outlets that I noticed, so if you need more, I'd suggest bringing along a power strip. There are no in-room hair dryers. We were given exactly two washcloths and two towels, so if you need more, you might request them upon check-in. Bring your own conditioner if you need it, as well as a shower cap. We were asked if we wanted more pillows, which I thought was very considerate of them. The area isn't the best in town, but I didn't feel unsafe either. It's only 5 miles from the casino and if you're looking to save a little money while visiting the casino, you can't go wrong with the Belvedere. There's even continental breakfast in the morning, which I wasn't expecting. Coffee, donuts, bagels, orange juice, and cereal were provided. We stayed for two days, and would certainly come back. Room size/bed size; It's a little cramped but given our short stay, it wasn't really an issue.
The staff is very friendly and gracious and willing to do whatever they can in order to fulfill your requests, when they are there. Keep in mind however that this IS an economy facility, so don't expect the world (for instance, there's no towel rack). The neighborhood doesn't look "nice," but don't be intimidated; it isn't dangerous, it's just tired. The restaurant next door serves dinner until 10 pm. It's convenient if you want to be centrally located to Broward and Dade counties, or to the Hard Rock casino. There is no 24-hour staff - The Belevedere is a small Inn, not a hotel. Once everyone is checked in and their immediate needs are seen to, you're pretty much on your own. Make sure you're not expecting any more than that. You may be able to reach them for emergencies, but it may be difficult. The number posted on the door may not be answered.
The place is not worth the price. The room I stayed in was more than simple, it seemed dirty, although the room was clean. There is a very noisy bar across the street that was still noisy when I left for the airport at 4:30am. All night there where people walking through the courtyard that seemed to be drunk. The office staff was friendly and helpful but I honestly did not feel safe.
The distance frok the airport Very cheap room tiny bathroom very low quality for the $111 A night
Felt unsafe, run down
Clean rooms, easy to get to/from airport, parking available. Clean, but in a crappy part of town. The room looked like it has not been updated since the 50s. No restaurants nearby other than some really shady dives.
Close to airport, very basic room Staff and nice Facilities are old Not a very safe neighborhood
Staff was nice Too many spiders. Not worthy.
clean and old world courtesy very plesent
The owners and staff were exemplary. I felt cared for and very welcomed there at the Dolphin. The other hotel guests were also extremely lovely people...which reflects well on the Dolphin owners...they attract quality folks because they are a class act! Nothing. All was good
It was very quaint and newly remodeled. The bath was small and no place to put the soap or shampoo in the shower but it worked out fine. For a two star hotel, it was a very nice stay
Filthy. No top sheet and sand on the only sheet. Paint peeling, very poorly cleaned. Kitchen faucets backward; left was cold and right was hot. Half a toilet roll when I arrived, ran out on third day with no spare. Thank God for an almost empty box o
Clean and simple. Super friendly staff. The room itself is nothing fancy and has the basics to enjoy the beach and restaurants not far from your doorstep. Great for extended stays! The staff is very friendly and responsive when called, but not always on-site to help if you need something immediately. They forgot to put soap/shampoo in the bathroom and we didn't realize until late at night.
Location, price, room size, super comfy bed, huge closet.. Loved that it had a kitchen, that just makes everything easier & more economical. Will definitely stay there again! Water didn't get really hot in the shower.. But warm enough to get clean. No other issues what so ever!
A great location! Loved having a fridge. There is a bike-share station basically around the corner. I arrived before check-in, and they allowed me to check-in early. I will stay at the Dolphin again! Thin walls, so one could hear the neighbors at times.
Nothing Sevice was horrible. Waited 1 1/2 hour for some one to come to the front desk. No one ever showed up. Had to go somewhere else. They refused to refund your money. Parking is a nightmare. You have to pay for parking in a lot not owned by hotel, or someone will put a boot on your car. Last option park on the street The phone number listed on the email is wrong. It goes to a fax. So no one answered. Beware cross all t's and dot all i's before you give any money or you just might end up S.O.L. like me in this situation
I came late since I did the reservation 20 min before.. the staff member were really friendly and nice. Especially the day I checked out. I also loved the bed, it was so confortable
The price point was good. Bruce and Tina who manage the place are very nice. It is close to the beach. It was ok. I would stay again if it was a good price and I planned on going to the beach. There was construction next door. The address no longer exists. (Because of the construction) the motel is older like many of the others in the area. However, where most older replaced a lot of items, this property seemed to patchwork what they could and only replace If necessary. Bed was not uncomfortable. The room was not bad. I hope I'm being clear.
I don't agree with all the negative reviews. No, this motel isn't the Ritz-Carlton, but for $58 a night it isn't bad. The room is comfortable, the art on the walls is decent, and it has free wifi. If you're a family traveling on a budget and don't mind staying across the street from an airport, go ahead. The A/C wasn't easy to control.
Absolutely nothing Room's were dirty and small. Bed frame was broken and could of caused injury. Left twenty minutes after check in.
The hotel was very dirty, and felt unsafe. My new wife and I slept in the car. We didn't want to sleep on the cigarette burned, feces stained sheets, nor stay in the prostitute infested hotel. I just gave them back my key. They would not give us a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE! There is a Days Inn right around the corner.
The room was ok. Ok bed. Wifi worked good. No safety locks on the doors, no door bolts, and outside hallways. the tub drain was clogged. 3 inches of water in the tub when showrring.
Proximity to Miami Beach Too expensive for little to nothing. I've stayed at Super 8 that are far superior. Regretted I stayed so long (2 days). There were huge water bugs in bathroom. Besides can't expect less, bath tub was lined with black mold.
