Pros: Excellent location, breakfast and staff
Pros: Beds very comfortable and the staff extremely welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Would have like more fresh fruit at breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast was good, location excellent. Castletown has beautiful town houses....... and a well preserved castle! Oh and the racing was fantastic as always¬!!!!!
Cons: Price. £100 Per night (inc breakfast) in a single room high but there was a popular motorcycle race meeting taking place, which is why I stayed I suppose it's supply and demand.
Cons: Room wasn t cleaned on Sunday
Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: There was quite a lot of noise from the area surrounding our room, people in the town square adjacent, workmen carrying out cleaning in the square, aircraft landing and taking off and people passing along the corridor outside our room.
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the room very clean.
Pros: Our second stay here. Love the huge rooms and how clean and bright everywhere is. Great breakfast and plenty to choose from. Evening meals are average but not unpleasant. In the centre with interesting views. Good parking and very accommodating for people on motorbikes. They will keep your luggage before/after arrival/departure in a locked room so you don't have to cart it around with you.
Cons: Slightly over-priced so we only go for a treat / special occasion
Pros: Size of room.
When you stay at Carrick Rooms in Port St Mary, you'll be on the beach, a 5-minute drive from Calf of Man and 6 minutes from Castle Rushen. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fabulous property - excellent hosts and we would totally recommend it. We will stay again!
Pros: Food selection
Cons: Bath room was steamy
Pros: Rooms were modern
Cons: The terrible noise problem. Worst hotel I have stayed in for noise. It could be due to the bare wooden floors but every noise on the floor above, every step outside of the room and every conversation is heard like they are in your room. Noise carried on until 1.50am last night. I had 3.5 hours sleep first night, 3 hours second night and 1.5 hours last night. Rooms are also very cold, owner doesn’t turn the central heating on.
Pros: Fresh fruits, pastery, juice
Pros: Ideally located for the beach, shop next door and a few places to eat. Easy to park. The hosts were really friendly. I’d happily rebook
Cons: No issues at all
Pros: beautiful location with beautiful people
Pros: Hospitality of hosts was excellent, a warm greeting on arrival by both Richard and Adriana. Fresh fruit, bread rolls, milk, orange juice, cheese and ham in the fridge. Coffee, tea and more..... all Nice. Good advice on local amminties. Swapped my room to a larger one to ensure both my dog and I had maximum space to enjoy the best life here. ( ha ha 2 weeks) My dog , poppy was as welcome as me.
Cons: No complaints.
Pros: Lovely people Very good value for money Breakfast/food etc was a really great touch Super shower Easy to get around by bus
Pros: Very convenient position for good walks in area. Good cafe connected to lodgings. Room warm despite cold weather
Cons: A microwave would have been very useful but we knew our particular room did not have one when we booked.
Pros: One of the most comfortable places I've ever stayed at. Very friendly, conveniently located, super clean, good wifi and a good self-service breakfast with lots of fresh fruits. Highly recommended.

Cons: No hot cooked breakfast at all
Pros: Breakfast not as good as previous stay some years ago. Good bed. Quiet despite airport setting. Close free parking. Would have been very good value were it not for problems (see below).
Cons: Management incompetent. No spare staff to cover absences - room maintenance almost non-existent, and NOT the fault of the staff, who were short-handed, apologetic & overworked. Complained to the manager on checkout and was given one nights refund.
Pros: Shower good . Location good
Cons: Room small ,tv to small, breakfast not enough choice, overall looks dated to other similar hotels weve stayed in
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It is close enough to the airport to be able to walk.
Cons: The room was extremely small. Would have been great if it was just a place to sleep before catching an early morning flight, not very comfortable for an extended stay.
Pros: friendly helpful Staff good location
Pros: Handy location. Continental breakfast with a fair choice. Plenty of parking spaces. Friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms were small but perfectly adequate.
Pros: good location for airport and transport to get around island
Cons: room slightly cramped and basic bar facilities
Pros: Private, Quite easy to find parking good
Cons: No cooked breakfast
Pros: Extra large bed so comfy and room clean well ventilated lovely shower. Breakfast was very nice continental but plenty of it will return

Pros: Really quite a splendid little place for overnight or a few days. Most excellent value.
Pros: The fact that it was 5 minutes from the airport.
Pros: Staff were excellent, ideal location for us and a comfortable base
Cons: Nothing, all was to our liking, other than we could'nt get onto the WIFI with the code, though this could be us and our PC's.
Cons: Bedrooms very cold
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: A Bar would have been nice!
Pros: We liked the convienience for the airport and the price was very good too!
Cons: lacking in atmosphere and character. It would only be suitable for a one night stay prior to catching an early flight.

Pros: We were made to feel welcome from start to finish niothing was to much trouble . David our host made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay .
Cons: Nothing not to like
Pros: David was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and was the perfect host. The breakfasts were fantastic, filled us up for most of the day. Perfect location to explore the southern end of the island. We want to go back and take advantage of one of his photo taking courses / tours.
Cons: The only difficult thing was finding the place originally. We would suggest putting in a description of how to get there from the airport or from one of the local towns, to facilitate locating the cottage to begin with. Once we found out where it was (David sat out on the fence waiting for us) everything else was great.
Pros: A delightful old Manx cottage beautifully restored and extremely comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the lovely comfy sofas in front of the telly and the glorious roll top bath!
Pros: The cottage was beautiful and peaceful, with a lovely relaxing vibe. David was great and makes a wonderful cooked breakfast! Nothing was too much trouble and we couldn't fault anything. The facilities were great, the sofa is huge and the bath is one you can really have a long deep soak in. It's a great mix of having your privacy but also having the door to knock on when you're ready for breakfast :)
Cons: I can't think of anything ... even the weather obliged and was glorious!
Pros: The owner David is a very friendly and helpful host. The cottage is lovely, very authentic so doors are low - over 5'8 mind your head
Cons: Minor problems - reverse parking into driveway from the main road could be a problem for a nervous driver. Due to a medical problem the bath was too deep for me to get out of easily and there is no separate shower (only the shower attached to bath)
Pros: Host. Accom. Food.
Cons: No shower. And dangerous parking
Pros: Beautiful outlook, luxurious accommodation, very warm and friendly host, wonderful location.
With a stay at THE FALCON'S NEST HOTEL in Port Erin, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Calf of Man and Castle Rushen. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff, perfect location right on the beach in Port Erin. Quiet and comfortable rooms. A little outdated but everything we needed and comfortable.
Pros: The location is good The towels and bedding were clean
Cons: The hotel is in a state of disrepair and needs serious renovation The view from the bedroom window was of beer barrels and palletts
Pros: The room was snug and the breakfast was good. As it is local we come here for food but on this occasion just breakfast. They are very nice with young children and If a family room is required there's is perfect!
Cons: The shower was either hot or cold
Pros: Staff very helpful. The room was clean, tidy and convenient. We had read about a lot of night time noise but we had a very peaceful stay.
Pros: Great Breakfast
Pros: Location and view from our room. Lovely breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
Pros: Lovely staff. Perfect location. Delicious breakfast. Good tea making facilities in room
Cons: Faded glory! Bedroom up 3 flights of stairs, no lift. Overlooking rubbish tip. Shower a trickle.
Pros: The view from my room was excellent and the location was very good for the beach and other activity
Cons: The bathroom was dated and shower pressure poor
Pros: Great location. Great breakfast (but no mention of the kippers which were actually on offer too_. Evening menu showed no change within the week and was a little limited. But there were other options close by. The location of the hotel is superb; close to the steam train station to Douglas and thence to Laxey and Snaefell; and with good bus transport in every direction. Staff were very laid-back and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was well-used over the week-end and quieter through the week. Price was very reasonable. The hotel also has its own car park which is essential in Manx because on-road parking in most towns has time restrictions. Room was serviced every day and clean towels were on offer whenever needed. Local trips were advertised in the lobby - eg to the Calf of Man which close by.
Cons: Hotel is a little jaded around the edges and is showing signs of wear. But it is commodious and would require a lot of investment to modernise. It would then not be such good value I would guess.
Pros: The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble....bedrooms comfy and clean and the breakfast was superb.
