Pros: great place and food, amazing hosts, also very reasonably priced.
Pros: It's been a great experience to stay in a small village in Laos, on an island untouched by tourism, and yet in a European-managed establishment. The level of hospitality and attention to detail provided by the hosts (Dutch & Lao) was above and beyond that of a budget guesthouse. The bungalows were in very good condition and right in front of the Mekong; I could see and hear the river while in bed. Many food and drink options were available in the small on-site restaurant. There was strong 4G mobile coverage in the area.
Pros: Everything is perfect . The experience is extraordinary, this is what I haven been looking for my trip . A quiet island with local people live on. And the guesthouse just by the river.view is fantastic all day . The owner is a lovely couple and nice to chatting with them . All in all . If you are looking for someplace to make you feel really quiet and peace . This is it !
Pros: This place was amazing and we loved our time here so much we extended another night. Sander and Tanoi are amazing and friendly hosts who make your time there extra special. A lot of people stay in Don Det but even if you do we would highly recommend at least a couple of nights on this remote island as it is a beautiful and peaceful place that is a lot more like local life. The food was great and convinced us to do the market visit and cooking class during our stay. Communication and help to get to the place was brilliant and lots could be arranged and booked once there for onward journey etc..
Cons: Nothing, even when the weather wasn't on our side on one of the days this was still a great place to relax.
Pros: If you are looking for peace and tranquility then this is the place. The host Sander, from the Netherlands, is very welcoming and full of information to help you get about while you're on the Islands. The rooms are fairly simple, a couple of small Bungalows on stilts, but you have a fan and electric points in the room. They are clean and the bed I had was very comfortable. There is a separate bathroom and toilet just a few meters from the Bungalows. Due to the location there are no other restaurants available to use, so you are reliant on the restaurant at guest house, which is no bad thing as Sanders' sister in law is a mean chef and there is a good variety of foods on the menu. I enjoyed everything about this place and would definitely recommend coming here if you want some relief from the "Tourists trail". Sander is the perfect host and we spent a few evenings with a few beers putting the world to rights.
Pros: This is really a perfect place: The calm island itself, the accomodation, the food and last but not least: The hosts Sander and Tanoi. The hospitality of Sander and Tanoi is outstanding and honestly on of my best homestays I've ever been. Guests are always No. 1 and they do everything to make the holiday unforgetable (really e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!). I was travelling alone and I enjoyed my stay there so much (11 days) and if I would have had more time, I would have spent even more days at this place. At Don Som and the islands around there are many options to be active or otherwise just relax & enjoy the place the whole day :-). I really recommend the cooking class which includes a boat trip to the morning market. It´s really an authentic experience. So if you searching for an unique and serene place (off the beaten path), nice people and very very very good food: This is the place to be.
Pros: Only one guesthouse on the island and i hope it stays this way! Beautiful scenery and comfortable bungalows, very welcoming
Pros: I really loved everything about and around the Guesthouse. Located directly at the Mekong River, I really enjoyed the view, the beautiful island and especially the wonderful Lao-Cooking-Course-Experience with Tanoi as well as hanging around with her and other guests. She did everything to make a wonderful stay and arranged many things for me. I will definitely come back again, thank you so much for everything Tanoi! For seeing and visiting the 4000 Islands, this is the perfect place to stay. Best wishes for the future!
Pros: Amazing staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable!
Cons: Everything was excellent
Pros: We stayed 2 days in don som. Sander and Tanoi are extremely nice hosts, who take a lot of care for their guests. We had an amazing time with Tanoi, learning how to cook Lao food and many interesting discussions with Sander. The bungalows are simple and nice, equipped with everything needed (mosquito net, fan...) and had hammocks on the veranda. Thanks for your great hospitality, we had an awesome time in your home stay!
Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse offers a quiet and relaxing stay in Don Khone Island. Guests can enjoy familial hospitality and homemade cuisines at the property. Free WiFi is provided. All rooms come with a separate living area that overlooks the bank of Mekong River. There is also a private bathroom equipped with a shower. The on-site restaurant serves Thai dishes using local ingredients. Guests can also enjoy other dining options at the family restaurants located in the village.
Pros: Additional sitting room with view over the river, very peaceful and calm, swimming spot directly from the guest house, live terrace restaurant, very helpful friendly staff and free water refills!
Cons: The bathroom was quite basic and the food in the restaurant good quality but more expensive than other local restaurants
Pros: This is a very small guesthouse in a quiet and remote village on Don Khone, designed to ensure a comfortable stay while blending with the local environment. It is not for those looking for a party scene or for all western style conveniences. But for those seeking peace and comfort in an authentic local environment on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Mekong river, it is really hard to beat. The owners are warm and attentive hosts with a clear vision of the kind of experience they aim to share with their guests.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like about Pomelo Guesthouse. The bumpy road across the island from the ferry to Baan Hang Khone where the guesthouse is located will delight some visitors as an experience in itself, but it is not for all.
Pros: It’s a perfect place if you want to enjoy the Mekong without tourists and bars or parties. The guesthouse is really romantic with friendly staff and a good kitchen. We spent here the Christmas and they prepared special meal (fish and even chocolate cake!) and also a lovely boat tour to a little island in the middle of Mekong, so we could swim and enjoy the sunset.
Pros: Everything was perfect. The room is charming and clean. The staff attentive. Hope i can come back again.
Pros: Beautiful setting. Huge veranda looking out over Mekong and Cambodia on other side. Very helpful owner who organised my onward travel. Cycles to rent nearby. Waterfalls and town all in cycling distance.
Pros: It was real pleasure to stay.
Pros: The location of the guesthouse is amazing! Perfect for chilling out and looking and the picturesque view. Just a couple of restaurants in the village and really easy to go see the dolphins. Staff really helpful and friendly. Will answer any questions and helped us book our bus to Cambodia- brilliant chilled out stay!!!
Cons: Was very warm on a night, made it a little difficult falling asleep.

Pros: Great room in a lovely location. Some building work going on to cater for higher demand but didn't bother us, good breakfast and nice staff
Pros: Awesome staff that helped me with everything! They also have a private boat service to mainland
Pros: The staff and owner are really friendly and helpful. Location is Excellent for sunset viewing and local bars etc.
Cons: A little on the pricey side but what it lacks in facilities it makes up in views
Pros: Great location, straight off the boat and you’re there. Still nice and relaxed around on the sunset tip of the island with an excellent view. Staff was very friendly, the whole family was always smiling. Pancakes for breakfast was the best we’ve had in South East Asia by a country.Would highly recommend.
Cons: None, would stay again!
Pros: We had the place to ourselves The island was flooded so they built stepping stones so we could enter the room. The staff were welcoming and nice. It was quiet and relaxing. The place is centrally located to the main drag
Cons: Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. Breakfast wasn’t great. Scrambled eggs were really dry and contained something foreign. Not sure what. Curry? Chicken salt? Switched to pancake which was very heavy. The warmed bread roll was yum. Being therein the off season had its pros and cons. Would love to return during the dry season
Pros: the good treatment of the staff, the excellent situation and the relation quality-price is very good
Cons: All is good
Pros: It's a really nice resort with sunset view. The owner is lovely and very helpful. Good breakfast, good room with AC. It was super nice to chill there on Don DET.
Pros: Lovely, little family run place right at the tip of the island with excellent sunset view and walking distance to everything
Situated in Don Det, River Garden Guesthouse has a bar, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. Each room is equipped with a balcony with a garden view. At the guest house, rooms have a patio with a river view. The rooms at River Garden Guesthouse are fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Don Det, like cycling.
Pros: The staff are lovely, the room is clean and comfortable. Bike rental is available, great for exploring the nearby don khon
Cons: Not much close to the property in terms of bars/restaurants, but easy enough to cross the bridge to don khon for that
Pros: Very friendly owner and helpful. The location is very nice to explore both islands, Don Det und Don Khone. Only 3 Minutes to the old French bridge and the village of Don Khone (plenty of restaurants and bars). Very peaceful place and good accomodation.
Pros: This place is just incredible! Located away from the tourist area, it's perfect for relaxing and checking out the way locals live here. The old Bridge is a 5 minute walk away, so getting to Don Khon is very easy! Staff is amazing, they speak good English and will help you out with anything! The food is also perfect, with much lower prices compared to the north of the island. I wish I could have stayed longer!
Pros: Really nice place to stay. Quiet area with nice view on the River. You get a whole bungalow for yourself for the money. Great value! Can recommend staying here. Restaurant is also very good and clean with a big selection of food available.
Pros: Room was perfect. The view was amazing and the hammock was a great touch.
Pros: Very cheap room, worth for its price. The host was very kind and food was delicious.
Cons: The room is basic and there was not hot water, which wasn't a real problem due to the hot weather.
Pros: Cheap place, owner arranged some bus tickets with minimum commission, and also arranged the laundry.
Cons: The owner is very nice and helpful but the place unfortunately is not good... No hot water, bad internet, big spiders on the roof and even I saw/killed a cockroach inside the bangalow... I couldn't charge my phone cause the plugs were destroyed. loads of ants in the toilet and some foubd their way to the bed. I don't recommend.
When you stay at Sala Done Khone in Don Khon, you'll be 9 minutes by foot from Historic Bridge, Don Det - Don Khon. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: At my departure I couldn´t get my prepaid breakfast in time, because the manager forgot to inform the kitchen staff about my early check-out.
Pros: Our room was in one of the oldest colonial houses in Laos. So not the most modern place in the country but absolutely full of charm and soul. Also the room was pretty cool and nit to humid. We did not nake use of it but there is a beautifyl swimming pool with view on the Mekong. The owner's brother, Yoi, was extremely friendly, knowledgable, helpful and spoke a perfect English. He helped us organize our trip in Bolaven Plateau, putting us in touch with a private guide. Super well located to visit the main points of interest of the area (which are on Don Khon and not on Don Det). Worth every penny.
Pros: Unique room in a large french style house with high ceilings. Breakfast was huge, maybe a little too big! Restaurants within walking distance - definitely try The Garden for really good Laotian food and a friendly owner!
Cons: You’re on an island so just expect lots of bugs to be around all the time, they will get in the room and so will geckos (which can be pretty noisy at night!). Pool needed a better filter as there were lots of bugs and plants etc that had fallen in.
Pros: We stayed in one of the floating bungalows which was basic but clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was good as it was so hot so good to cool down in.
Cons: Breakfast could be improved. We asked for pancakes one day and were told they'd finished (other guests had just had some!) It wasn't until the manager came and we asked and he went off to organise it. May have been a problem in communication! Some of the fruit that was out had seen better days!
Pros: Friendly staff, good Restaurants near by, nice pool and garden.
Pros: Very well located ! The villa is completely atypical ! So different from other hotels ! Very nice decoration and amazing shower (with hot shower !). The manager was very helpful and speaks well English.
Cons: Common areas are absolutely non hygienic ! Breakfast is disgusting as you can see dirty plates and flies everywhere on the food. The staff in the restaurant does not smile much !
Pros: The location and the space around the room is nice.
Cons: The breakfast place isnt really clean and the staff is not very well trained. I dont advice to use their service they overcharged for most of the tour
Pros: Amazing views from the floating studios and a beautiful location on Don Khon.
Situated in Don Det, Riverside Bungalow has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The rooms at the guest house are fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. Guests at Riverside Bungalow will be able to enjoy activities in and around Don Det, like fishing.
Pros: Nice small bungalow with views to the Mekong river. The room had a big bed and a bathroom ensuite. The terrace with the wonderful views to the Mekong has some hammocks, you can use then to chill during the afternoon or watch the sunrise first time in the morning. After that you have a breakfast, you can choice one thing of the menu. The tomato omelette is a good option to start with energy. Coffee is included. It is also possible to hire a bike for one today and the hostel ha a restaurant, although we hadn't used it. The lady, who run the place, is nice. It is a good choice in Don Det!
Cons: One km from the port, not a long distance but you will need a torch if you want to walk during the afternoon.
Pros: I tried multiple bungalows while staying on that island and that one was the comfiest and more clean.
Cons: That being said, the price you pay for that bungalow is quite expensive compared to many others, but it was still just a bit better than the others. If you don't care about money, I recommend this one, if you do care, just literally get of the boat walk around the island there are bungalows everywhere next to eachother. Ask the people if they have free room and how much it is and if you can have a look at the room and voilà! You got yourself a cheap bungalow. The average price you would pay should be 30 000 kip.
Cons: The owner was lovely went out his way to make sure our stay was perfect and Very lovely breakfast the best we’ve had on our travels. The bungalow was very nice on the Mekong with hammocks so chilled.
Pros: The hammocks with a nice view at the river and the sunrise!
Cons: The owner has actually two guesthouses and was not there when we wanted to ask something. Breakfast was just OK and starts late (at 8). The bathroom had a really bad smell, although it was clean. One day we were laying in the hammocks and did not close the door. So a dog came into our room and layed down. Was a bit of a surprise.. There were a lot of dogs wandering around the house even at night. During our stay it was very difficult to get fresh air into the room even though we slept with an open window.
Pros: The bungalows are very clean, comfortable bed, private bathroom. You have a super porch with hammocks to see the sunrise. I have a huge problem loosing my phone in the island and although I didn't find it, the lady running the hotel helped me a lot going back and forth and telling my problem to the other guesthouses. I had to leave one day earlier and she gave me back the money for one night which I really appreciated it.
Cons: The only band thing is that the are no one from 10pm to 8 am so if you have a problem in that time you don't have anyone to ask. Same for the restaurant. No AC but not needed
Pros: Location on the river. Nice staff.
Cons: Too expensive for the conditions. We only had one hammock and it was the right size for a child. Weak meals. Not once was the garbage removed for 4 days.
Pros: + Good Location + Great view from the balcony + 2 hammocks + Comfortable bed + Facilities
Cons: - The owners were sometimes hard to find - (Cold shower but not that bad in this heat)
Pros: Very good bungalow about a 15 minute walk from the pier. Clean rooms, nice bathroom and good hammocks to relax.
Pros: The location is great with a perfect view along the river. Sunset is especially nice in the hammocks. The property, like the whole island, is very quiet. The rooms are large, but bare bones and there are holes in the floor, cracks under the door. But really, the room was adequate. Just not for the price...
Cons: Too expensive. Many places nearby were cheaper and nicer. Check in and check out was hell because there was no one around. Seriously, no signs or sign of people. Our toilet wasn't working well, but again, there was no one to talk to. We were also charged a higher rate when checking out than initially booked for.
Pros: Perfect location right on the river. Great hammocks
Pros: - lovely balcony (hammocks) - very clean room - nice bathroom - great view
Cons: - Don Khone Island is very empty in the low season (hard to find good restaurants, bars,...) - in the evening it is quite hard to contact the owners
Pros: a nice little spot to stay for a fair few days plenty of nice restaurants close by.
Pros: Great hammock with a view of the Mekong River, super lovely staff and great breakfast and dinner in the attached restaurant! For this price, it's a treat!
Pros: Quiet,big bed
Cons: You can find the same quality for half the price if you go to Don Det. Breakfast 5 $...very expensive .we had it in another place for 2$ full... The staff closes everything very soon.when we arrived the 2nd night, there was no wifi and no light in my room.Nobody there to ask for help...They made us a 2$ discount in a 2nights 2 rooms reservation...not very happy
Pros: good location in quiet Don Khone
Cons: The staff were cold and not welcoming, food was way overpriced, internet was bad, the room did not meet our value for money expectation, very thin walls, we don't recommend.
The Boathouse has a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Don Det. Boasting ticket service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The accommodation features room service, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. All guest rooms at the inn are equipped with a seating area. The rooms at The Boathouse are fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. Guests at the accommodation can enjoy a continental or a à la carte breakfast.
Cons: Owner was most of the time drunk and had a banner and was not very supportive. Because of the shared bathroom you can hear everything from your neighbors room, not very nice, especially the noises from the Toilet. Very expensive for what you get. Not even breakfast.
Pros: What a wonderful and relaxing place in the 4000 Islands. Tip and Mike were great hosts and always gave me the feeling of being part of „the family“. The room is cozy and clean, right at the waterside. Watching the boats running up and down the river can be sooo relaxing. If you want more action, Mike offers adventurous tours on the Mekong. Great place, the Boathouse.
Pros: The place to chill in front of the river The owners are very nice The beds, both with mosquito nets
Cons: The food is not very good but there are full of places to eat not far
Pros: The hired kitchen staff used indigenous recipes.
Cons: This location is 1 meter from a motorcycle path and 5 meters from the the only boat channel between the port and LiPi Falls. Be prepared to have sleep deprivation and benzene hazard for your lungs. There is no security or privacy between the units via a 2 meter wall with nothing above to the roof line. Rooms are not designed for the site to allow any airflow.
Pros: The owner and his family were very nice, helpful and efficient.
Pros: Really lovely accommodation, good value for money
Cons: It was a bit far out from all the restaurants
Pros: The lady who runs the place is so friendly and chatty. The food was lovely and our riverfront bungalow was in a beautiful quiet location - it was lovely relaxing in the hammocks. For our transfer from Don Det the boat picked us up right outside the Boat house!
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Pros: Friendly and lovely owner and also the other guests. Very good food!
Pros: Quite in the night, nice view of the river, doesn’t have mosquitoes
When you stay at Paradise Riverview Resort in Don Det, you'll be 9 minutes by car from Historic Bridge, Don Det - Don Khon. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Cons: Breakfast was sub par for price of hotel
Pros: Breakfast wasn't bad albeit some communications difficulties with some of the staff, unless you wanted a fried egg of course! Location of the place is good and within walking distance of the jetty with several options locally for food and drink. Rooms themselves are OK (once you get the right one - see below) albeit bathrooms not great, nor the showers and hot water is hit and miss. To be fair though, at least the air conditioning worked ok.
Cons: Firstly, I was given the wrong room, and because the owner was away on business in Pakse, the boy left in charge refused point blank to let me change to the riverfront location I had booked despite the fact I produced Booking.com documentary evidence confirming my reservation. Even more frustrating was seeing the correct room sat there empty. So for 2 days (until the owner returned) of our 4 day visit, I was in a room with no view and a tiny balcony looking onto the rear of the building in front. The other main issue was we were then surcharged 3% on the bill because we were paying by credit card. This was neither mentioned in the original booking, nor in several e mail exchanges with the property before we arrived. NB. I was told I could pay by credit card but no mention of any surcharge. I have reported this to Booking.com There are no ATM's on Don Det and although we managed to minimise the surcharge effect by stumping up what cash we had, this effectively cleaned us out of most of our dollars we needed for our forthcoming Siem Reap stay. Left a bad taste in the mouth. Thirdly, my shower didn't work, and even though it was eventually fixed after complaining (I had to drag the owner into the shower cubicle to prove my point as I was told I wasn't operating it properly) once working, the water was only tepid. Not a great issue given the ambient temperature and at least I was able to boil the kettle to shave, but very poor given the cost of the rooms. I was actually traveling with my adult son btw but there is no means of reflecting this through the review submission page.
Pros: Nice riverside setting. Close to but at rear of main thoroughfare. Given position surprisingly quiet.
Cons: Water supply failed for several hours but was reconnected eventually. Don't think this was a general problem
Pros: Nice bungalow on the river, relaxing and quiet, given that surrounding can be noisy. The owners very attentive and helpful. My arrival was outside the regular hours and everything was well organised. Also convenient to organise yours with the owner. His wife, Hian, took me to the local market, which was really nice.
Cons: A bit difficult to communicate with staff who don’t speak English and can be terribly slow with breakfast unless closely supervised by the owners. Otherwise all was fine and nothing spoiled my two weeks enjoying myself.
Pros: Nice clean room. Comfy beds and air conditioning was a gem! Really nice location, great views on the river. It wasn't as nice as I thought it would be for the money I paid but that seems to be the whole island. Would have stayed another night if it weren't for the price.
Cons: The power cut out a few times but we are on an island and it wasn't just our hotel. The bathroom drain didn't work but we didn't shower till late at night so it was too late to get someone to fix it.
Pros: Amazing view from the balcony. Nice food. Sweet space and great location. Staff were nice .
Cons: The pillows were too big and uncomfortable to sleep. We stayed in a bungalow facing the river and we got a little cockroach in the first night but never to be seen again which is understandable as we were in an island.
Pros: The location was good - the little cabin was fine - lovely verandah right on the river . The tour operation was excellent and we went on a dolphin watch and waterfall one which was great .
Cons: The restaurant was empty every night except when we ate there - the food was not up to much and the breakfast was very haphazard to say the least . There was a sewer malfunction whilst we were there which they did fix but it did result in a disgusting smell for a while . And the pillows were so big and hard that you couldn’t really use them!
Pros: The room was fabulous! It's hard to find a nice bungalow with ac and hot water right on the river, but river view resort has just that! All the other bungalows we saw on the river were very basic but this one was great. It was clean, has hot water, great view, and ac. The breakfast was yummy also and the restaurant makes good food. The staff were all very friendly. We wanted to extend our stay but they were all booked out. Highly recommended!
Pros: Big bed, a/c
Cons: Small room, noisy, holes in the floor, broken toilets

Pros: Amazing people... Beautiful
Cons: Difficult to say really concidering it's rainy season. It not there fault little friends seek shelter from the rains... Lol
Pros: Compared to other accomodation on the island, this was relatively bug free, had air con (for an extra price) with a flushing toilet. We had a lovely nights stay here.
Pros: Good location. Good Wi-Fi.
Cons: Very basic.
Pros: Ok place, good location & easy to find. Bought ticket at there booking agency but wasn’t as described and promised.
Set in Don Det, The Last Resort offers a garden. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Featuring a shared bathroom, rooms at the hostel also provide guests with a lake view. At The Last Resort, every room has a seating area.
Pros: Bungalow's are okay.
Cons: Only one bathroom for everyone. Tepee is really tiny, no windows.
Cons: Toilet and bathroom
Pros: Nice and quiet place to stay. The shower was a raw pipe hanging from celling which made it the best shower's pressure we had in Asia :D Nice common area with a lot of hammocks. Just 10 minutes walk (south) from a beach
Cons: On Don Det, for the same price, you can find a room with sunset view and a decent bed. We liked Last Resort but after few days of hitting my head when entering the tent we moved to another place.
Pros: Their style of location provided
Cons: Just one bathroom and shared. And it was a little bit far from the center of the island.
Pros: The bungalow was super big so we had a gigantic bed which was very comfortable. It is a bit far away from the main town but the location is amazing and you can go everwhere in bike from there. The wife of the owner has a restorant nearby that is super cheap and very good food. You can meet people if you want or be by yourself.
Cons: Only one bathroom
Pros: Tai, the owner, a mysterious man of many secrets, procured us some mushrooms, unfortunately he got so bladdered in the day he didn't return with the rest of them he promised us. He has other products too.
Cons: Toilet was a little rough around the edges, as was the chicken who crawled under the door to join me as I pooped
Kulap Kao - Sunset and Chill Bungalows offers a guest house situated in Champasak. Free WiFi is available. With views of the river, each room features a seating area, a desk and a private bathroom.
Pros: Staff are really really friendly, and the property has a nice view of the sunset with some cosy hammocks
Cons: Room is quite basic and the shower water isn't warm, the tap in my room also didn't work
Pros: The location is good and the price was very cheap (low season)
Cons: It's not necessarily a bad thing, just be ready to be really up and close with all kinds of pets, insects and farm animals sleeping under your bungalow. Just wooden planks, no isolation from the outside. The lock was broken, too. Again, it was quite cheap so it's a good option for a couple of dollars.
Pros: Really good location, close enough to the main street to walk but far enough that it's really peaceful. Mai, the lady that works here is really welcoming
Cons: Nothing i didn't like. Quite basic accommodation, but for the price it was what i was expecting! A wonderful budget option
Pros: The Staff is really friendly and nice!
Cons: The Fan and also the socket did not work. The Internet was disconnected after one day :(
Pros: Very chill simple bungalow next to the river, nice to relax, watch the sunset, bed was ok
Cons: Staff doesn't speak much English, but not a big problem at all, place was cheap and nice. They cut internet after 10pm
Pros: Owner doesnt speak english, just a few words, but it is enough. She is very friendly and is always smiling. Bungalow was ok. Cleaning state of the bathroom could be better...Bed was comfortable and the fan was working. It got hot during the night but we opened the doors afterwards and then it was ok. There was a frog in the room, but that is normal in Don Det, it is hard to avoid them :)
Cons: Cleaning state.
Cons: Sink was not working, mosquito net was damaged on many places, light outside of the bungalow was not working and is quite far from the main part of island with shops, restaurants etc. Room is quite small. When you go back from that part you are going in total dark. For 1 dollar more you ca get nicer place on the island
Cons: no wi-fi, no water in the daytime, bloody expensive restaurant: just Khao Tom and 1 bottle of beer costs 75000kip!!
