Ban Hat Pak Meng Resorts

We have chosen to stay at the resort during our holiday travelling through Thailand. Our choice of the standard room instead of the more expensive bungallows was made strictly due to the price and the economics.I would say that I agree with all other comments left by other travellers, that the room was quite spacious, with high ceiling, very clean and comfortable, but facing the wall indeed. But, if one can not afford to pay for the luxury and the sea view, one has to accept the lesser qualities of accommodation offered or should just go somewhere else. The bathroom was also clean and quite big but had a rather disturbing smell of the sewage but i suppose that the difficulty that can be expected due to the island location. Otherwise, the resort offers a very good quality and value holiday with a great hospitality and frienliness of staff. On my request for a jug of hot water, as there was a facility for the tea/cofee in the room provided, I was actually offered a small electric kettle and some caps that I could keep in my room during the whole stay! There is also a great choice of food available for breakfast, authentic Thai food and more European style selection.Great Island, Great location! If I was to complain about anything it would have to be only the smell in the bathrooms that could be improved

Great location with very nice coral reef for snorkling on basically private beach. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant food wasn't up to par with the rest of the resort. It is a bit expensive and the food wasn't as hot as we would have wished when it was served. However the waiters are very nice.
