What are the pros of staying at Vic3 Bangkok?
The staff is very helpful and let me check in early. The room is spacious and the toilet is pretty clean. Close to MRT and easy spot to book Grab. Overall, excellent choice for a cheap price! Location perfect link to airport and sky train plus very helpful staff. Vic 3 Bangkok has a great location. Near to bts Sanam pao. The easy access to the to all bts. Friendly staff, neat and clean rooms. Room is clean and comfortable. This hotel is closed to BTS. Very friendly staff, great room service and very comfortable bed. Very good value for money as well considering the cleanliness of the room and the atmosphere of the hotel. The shower was good, and room was clean and comfortable. Honestly value for money, and is just 2-3min walk away from BTS station Sanam pao. Great stay. Location was fab, could walk easily to spots in Ari and so close to Sanam Pao MRT station on the green line. Room was clean and comfortable, only complaint is the pillows were thin and there was only one each. Otherwise lovely place and would stay again. The hotel's location is superb. clean and good service staffs. Stayed here many times. Great value, Clean, Helpful staff and a one minute walk to Skytrain. Clean and comfortable, will stay again if I have the chance.
What are the cons of staying at Vic3 Bangkok?
Bed sheet got dirty stained on it. Location, room decor and room cleanliness. Breakfast option and no cable TV. Rooms getting a bit tired and need updating. Colazione 220 thb, area fumatori scomoda. Room rate should be between 25 to 30 USD per night for standard room. One room allow to stay 3 people (Husband, wife and 1 son/daughter). Given an older room that was showing signs of wear. The TV remote didn't work and had to ge replaced. The TV signal was erratic. The air conditioning was either arctic or off making for a very hot room and a broken night's sleep. Also a/c was noisy. Room booked for two but charged 50 baht a night for an extra pillow! Shame, first stay had none of these issues but wouldn't risk it again. Besides 7-11, there are not many other restaurants or any shops close by. You could probably walk around for 10 minutes to find some cafes and restaurants. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it is quite expensive for Thai food. No drinking or smoking at the pool or a general area to chill out anywhere. There are very few restaurants and shops in the local area. Expect to take the train or taxi for shopping and dining. Interior is a little dated. Room is small for two people. Not much space if you have a lot of luggage or want to hang inside all day. Wifi will disconnect after the 4th day No free toothbrush here. Receptionist is not friendly on the guests. The female senior staff member on reception was aggressive and rude. The swimming pool loses sun after midday and the gym has barely any weights. For the price paid, I would have expected daily cleaning including a change of sheets and towels, but unfortunately not the case. The poor design for the sink area resulted in leaking on the floor which was annoying due to the constant dripping noise and wet floor. I was also rather disappointed that the hotel did not offer early check-in (arrived about 2 hours before regular check-in time) and instead, the staff asked if I would like an early check-in for 2000baht. I understand there are regulations especially for peak periods, but I was surprised to find that the rooms were at least 90% empty. Clearly the hotel prioritizes earning money and not making the trip an enjoyable one for their tired guests. So no I will not return to stay at the same hotel in the future as I would have received a better treatment and experience at other hotels. Room is pretty small for wheeled baggage, for the price paid, I believe there are better options out there to explore though it's location does makes up for it. Cleanliness. Not enough enough restaurant around. I went Nana to eat late night. May be the kind of restaurant I like are in Sukhumvit/Nana. The room looked pretty used and the blinders by the glass to the window was broken. Every now and again I stay in a hotel and I just can’t understand why it has a high rating - especially not four stars! This hotel is unpleasant and at an absolute push, 2 stars. For British readers, it is far more basic than a holiday inn or travel lodge. Rooms are dated, low spec, run down and not very clean. Bed is hard and pillows aren’t good. The bathroom tiles were dusty and marks all over the mirrors and glass. The basic functions of a hotel aren’t there - there is a restaurant downstairs but no menu in the room, no services like laundry or room service. Every time I called reception they were very unwilling to help with my request. The location is depressing, just off a huge main road. The pool area is nothing like the pictures. It’s covered and no way I would want to relax there. The worst part for me was the lifts. They absolutely STANK of old food and were filthy. The worst hotel I’ve stayed in for a while - worse than a budget hostel.
