Pros: We enjoyed the dining experience , staff were very personable, and the chefs little treats were lovely .
Cons: The room 302 was too small. I felt for Deluxe double it was not enough space , even though the terrazzo was there it was too hot in summer. I felt we were not given an adequate room for the money . Also the breakfast menu was confusing , it should have been included. The a la carte menu had, no fruit or toast , jam etc.

Pros: The staff is amazing and very caring. From Leonardo who created us as we walked into this charming 12 room hotel to Thomas who took care of us during breakfast, to the concierge who took care of our travel needs. The hotel rooms are charming, spacious, and have good sized bathroom and kitchenette which was great.
Cons: Only two things stopped me from giving this place a 5 star rating: 1. The hotel at night has a oder in the rooms. They try to mask it with the glade / vapor sprays on the floor but it does not do the trick and can smell like a wet clothes. 2. My pet pieve, no iron and on the weekends no other option to iron. It is an Italian law supposedly but I stay at a Westin and Hilton in Italy which both provided me with an iron and ironing board

Pros: I stayed one night with my daughter, who is attending school in Florence. Everything about the hotel and its staff was superior to what one would expect. We ate both lunch and dinner at the hotel and it was special. The new Executive Chef took time to visit and talk about the menu and local cuisine at both lunch and dinner. The entire staff couldn' t have been any nicer and was attentive without being on top of you. The site was like a postcard
Cons: I had to catch a 6:00am flight thus missed breakfast with the morning sun

Pros: The location is one of the best we have ever seen. The view of Florence is magnificent and the property is beautiful. I can totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence and I can say only the best things for the staff.

Pros: Wonderful staff and beautifully appointed room
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. They also have a self-serve espresso machine and water in the breakfast area for anytime use. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious for Europe standards.
Cons: Everything was great!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Nice boutique hotel. It's the perfect location if you want to shop at the design shops (Gucci, Prada, etc.). Otherwise, it's about a 5-15 minute walk to all the main tourist sites. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is free WiFi and a nice breakfast from 7:30 - 10:30 am.
Cons: No real complaints, but there's not much of a hotel bar. There is a bar area in the same room where breakfast is served, but you need to call the front desk to ask someone to come serve you, so I didn't bother. You will probably want to go out for dinner/drinks instead. I just remembered that I couldn't get the TV remote to change stations, but since almost all stations were in Italian and I didn't spend much time in the room, I didn't ask the staff to help resolve that little issue. But I'm sure they would have helped.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its a good location to all the branded outlets
Cons: During this time the weather is hot
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The location is amazing , perfect for disconnecting and enjoying the beautiful nature around it . Big rooms , rustic setup.
Cons: The activities prices are quite high , in addition to the dead insects in the pool that remove a lot of its appeal . The insects and flies needs to be take care off one way or another .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was beyond our expectations! The villa is located in Mugello hills, far from the noise of the city, in the heart of nature. Everywhere you look you see a great and authentic landscape, exactly as you can see in the movies about Toscana. So the place is great and I strongly recommend to go there and just stay, relax and walk around because is so pity not to enjoy the surroundings. Our triple room was located on the second floor so we had an amazing, breathtaking view. The room and also the bathroom are very big and clean, beautifully decorated, as the whole villa. The bed (not the couch) was very comfortable. The view from the pool is also great and the water seemed to be warm enough. The villa has its own restaurant with not so many but delicious dishes and it is open all day long (for lunch, dinner and in between for ~merenda~ and drinks). The breakfast is also delicious. The host and also the staff (especially the girls from reception and the waitresses) are very polite and helpful. There are many beautiful places where to stay in Tuscany but this is heaven on earth so it`s a must to visit. Congratulations to the owners for eveything they do!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Viola and Gemma made us feel so welcome! The Villa is incredibly beautiful and so well run - our bedroom was really spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast (as well as other food we were served at meal times) was excellent! We enjoyed a lovely massage on our first day here too - which was done with home produced olive oil with added essential oils! Perfecto! All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The setting is so peaceful and my boyfriend and I are leaving feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated. Would definitely highly recommend! The only one thing to mention (which isn’t necessarily a negative) is the hotel is in quite a remote location, we didn’t hire a car so if we wanted to travel anywhere, it was a minimum of 30EUR taxi to the nearest train station (Vicchio). But if you’re well equipped with everything you need, you won’t want to leave anyway! :-)

Cons: Had an issue with the room but the staff was able to help and sort it out.
7.5 Good
Pros: Deluxe rooms are lovely however anything less is quite basic. A good 25 m walk to the centre.
Cons: The little additions when everything was paid for! Parking and tourist tax are payable locally which is similar to many other planes however taking cash payments for booking trips and the being told at the Uffizi that you can only pay when you arrive to skip the queue is highly questionable!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb Hotel staff were helpful and nice The sparkling was tasty The design of the room was interesting
Cons: To add fish dishes at breakfast

Pros: First of all the hotel concept and desing are perfect. It has a modern line but also feels like historic. The guys from the reception desk are most helpful people in the city. They try and get the best results for all of my requests. They even made a reservation for the uffuzi galery for us in the time of huge turist traffic. And then the breakfast, it is also perfect. Special thanks to Mrs. Huda who remembered my coffee every morning in the breakfast.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was nice, clean and close to Mercato Centrale. The staff were very friendly and willing to help when needed. They offer a welcome drink each day between 5:30pm - 7:30pm which is nice after a long day of touring Florence in the heat. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The staff wrote nice birthday notes and left a bottle of Prosecco for my wife, which made her day.
Cons: The rooms were on the smaller side - if travelling with two check in bags, there wasn't much room to have both bags open or much closet/drawer space to put clothes out. Not a big deal, but some people may life to unpack and put the bags away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff! Giovanni at the front desk was excellent. The little touché sounds (complimentary bottle of wine for my birthday, thoughtful goodbye note with cookies, etc) really made this one of my favorite experiences.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, very close to the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio. Beautiful room, with lots of luxurious little touches. The view I had was very good. I will forever enjoy the memory of opening my windows to listen to the sounds of Florence below. The rooftop bar was wonderful. The view from the top was great and the service from the bar staff was also top notch. Honestly, this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Italy, and the biggest reason why is the staff. The cleaning staff keeps everything looking sharp and tidy. My room was spotless. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful with any request I made, helping me find a jewelry shop off Ponte Vecchio, getting taxis for me, making reservations and recommendations, and doing it all with a smile and in a very friendly manner. They are the shining jewel of this establishment.
Cons: The only thing I can think of that wasn't absolutely perfect is the wifi range. In many places, I could only get two bars, but I could get three in many places as well, so this is a minor problem.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff. Great location and we loved our room with view of Arno and Ponte Vecchio.
Cons: Would be nice to have water boiling pot in the room and/or coffee maker.

Pros: The hotel staff was amazing. Rachel at the front desk helped us in every way. The rest of the front desk staff were all fantastic. The upgraded room was deeply thoughtful. I would recommend hotel very highly.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautifully peaceful property out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Florence. The staff were amazing and took time to chat about our day, help with tours and ideas for dinner and generally all so kind. They all clearly like working at La Massa as it felt as though we were visiting friends. My son left his beloved Teddy at the hotel and cried himself to sleep, the staff were so happy to help and found the rouge stuffed toy. Food was good also.

Pros: If your priority is a Negroni made just right in an elegant setting, look no further! Beautiful location away from the bustle of Firenze with convenient 10min shuttle access. Cuisine is straightforward and taste is on point. A joy to see restaurant staff working in a team like a happy well oiled machine. Clean, well maintained and manicured property with large grounds. Hotel is not “fresh” but has true patina which is rare. Great roomy covered parking for the driver concerned with their car. Service throughout is impeccable and a reasonable price point gives a feeling of great value.

Hotel Rapallo - Florence - Building

9.3 Excellent (911 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Rapallo places you in the heart of Florence, within a 10-minute walk of Fortezza da Basso and Gallery of the Academy of Florence. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bedding. I loved the pillows. Good layout in the twin room with two beds distant from each other against the wall(just like a college dorm). Good privacy if you are traveling with family. Large patio with chairs, table and sofa. Valet parking is good for 24hr. You can stay for only one night and leave the car in garage for another half day.
Cons: Twin room is a bit smaller than the double room. Feels more like a room in a suite. No access to your car after it gets to the parking garage. No drop-off parking zone. You will have to find the nearest possible street parking to take out your luggage and get yourself check in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed, really a great bed
Cons: The wifi connection will be improvement
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This property is well located to visit the sites in Florence typical for an American traveler visiting. The train station is within walkable distance, so it is possible to take the train into Florence and then walk to the hotel (depending on amount of baggage & going over cobblestone streets/sidewalks). This is very near the Academia with David statue and nearby restaurants. The room was well sized for being in a downtown/historic area. The features of the room were modernized & clean. AC was on and kept the room comfortable even for a US traveler during the height of summer heat. The rate we purchases included breakfast daily that was a nice start to the day with typical options for a breakfast buffet in Europe. The food was fresh and well prepared.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was so nice, specially the room with the terrace and the amazing view over the Roofs till Fiesole. All was clean and the stuffs had always a smile on their faces. The breakfast was very good, specially the Cappuccino, which you can order. Room was Ready 10 minutes after our receiving which his a bonus from our side. The tea time we didn´t use in the afternoon, which is included in the price. We are very often in Firenze, and have seen a lot of Hotels, but this will be our favourite one, also for our next trip. We felt very warm wellcome! Thank you!
Cons: All was fine!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely small boutique style hotel. Beautifullly decorated and super clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful and go the extra mile recommending some great restaurants to us. Loads of choice for breakfast including cold and hot options. Afternoon tea was a real bonus and very welcome after a days sightseeing! Location is great, only about 10 minute walk to the main centre. Highly recommend staying at the Rapallo.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are perfect. Delicious breakfast! Free water offered! Will visit again!
Cons: Around 10~15 mins from the station. It's really hard to move with a big luggage with from the station to the hotel, but the staff greeted us with ice water right after our arrival. Breakfast has limited choices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern and well run hotel.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good choices for breakfast. Lovely helpful staff. This was my second stay at the hotel and I’d stay again.
Cons: Nothing
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fabulous! Made you feel like a VIP. Rooms were small, but charming and so comfortable. One outlet was universal, so we could charge more devices without multiple adapters. Great breakfast and tea in the afternoon. Only 10-15 min from the sights. Has an elevator, so it's also good for tired legs at the end of a long day or family travel or elderly travel. Decent hair drier which is good to know since many hotels don't have very good ones.
Cons: These suggestions not a criticism of the hotel. Rather a few notes for potential travelers. Most hotels in the area seem to have shampoo, but not conditioner. Also be prepared for small (but very very good!) cups of coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big bathroom and comfy bed
Cons: No toaster for breakfast, although the staff did make us some when we asked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: 1. Location 2. Quiet and clean 3. Nice breakfast 4. Excellent service 5. Excellent cappuccino
Cons: The electricity in our room went out twice in the night and my husband has a c pap machine that shut off. The room key operates the power and it malfunctioned. That was the only thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, far from the crowds. Only 10 minutes walk to Academy and 14 min. walk to Duomo. Descent Breakfast.
Cons: Everything was Ok!

Cons: Outdoor and garden should be cleaned.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fabulous property, we loved everything about our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and excellently managed hotel with stunning interior design and art to look at. The interior design is conservative and takes traditions of the Renaissance into account, without being too overloaded or heavy. A perfect place for privacy and rest, the staff is attentive but keeps itself in the background. So the place is yours to be discovered. The breakfast was presented with many glutenfree options. Ideal for a romantic stay or with friends.
Cons: Everything was just perfect
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful location overlooking. Florence. The staff at the restaurant were lovely and went the extra mile to help with my two girls! Will definitely visit again. The shuttle to the city helps!

Pros: Room was absolutely beautiful . Staff was excellent. Very clean.
Cons: The breakfast was not great. The path to garden was very dark at night. No ambience in the evening for guests.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Luxury hotel housed in a beautiful Renaissance villa with breathtaking views of Florence. Exclusivity, comfort and luxury immersed in history! Friendly and competent staff. The picture is completed by the call of the swimming pool after the bustle of the center. As icing on the cake we got an upgrade!
Cons: The only downside is that the restaurant food is out of proportion to the price.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: hosts are very nice, cappucino was great, scenery very beautiful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with gluten free options and fresh strawberries. And great cappuccinos! The hosts Perla and Franco were so friendly and welcoming, they are very special people. They provided everything we could have asked for including transportation to and from tram station and to restaurant for dinner. Our room was immaculate and the in-room sauna was a much needed and appreciated feature after a long day of walking the area!
Cons: More suggestions for day trips in the area. Unfortunately, the winery in the local area on the day we had to explore was closed (Sunday). But that was just unfortunate timing on our part.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and best hosts ever! Was a pleasure to stay at Perla, Franco & Zoia. Their hospitality is outrageous (as well as the creamy cappuccino)! The telescope on the cozy rooftop lets to see the moon and makes this stay even more memorable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Broncigliano Luxury B&B is like a magnificent Tuscan oasis - everything you could imagine and more. From the extraordinarily friendly and thoughtful hosts - Pearla and Franco (they are truly beautiful people); to the splendid scenery of rolling Tuscan hills; to the pristinely manicured gardens; to the lovingly restored and immaculate accommodation in a 14th century building - you will never want to leave. And, all of this is within a 20 minute tram ride from the heart of Florence - bellissimo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an amazing experience. First of all we were welcomed by the most gentle and sweet couple/the owners of the B&B. They made us feel like home and where very serviceminded. Other than that they are just super nice people and interesting to speak with. It is visible that they care about their guests and they enjoy to meet new people. It’s the kind of people you will always remember and that makes travelling like an adventure - so thank you for that :) I have to admit that I was served the best cappucino I have ever tried! And the owner also let me try his own home made liqueurs - it was really tasty and interesting to try. Second of all the house is like a castle with beautiful marble interior, hand painted ceilings, beautifully decorated rooms with big private new bathroom and a very nice and clean garden with cozy chairs to enjoy the amazing landscape view - it looks like a beautiful painting. It will give you peace in mind :) It is also close to train station which will take you to the center of Florence - very easy and comfortable. We recommend to stay at this B&B if you want to spoil yourself - you will not regret it! :) Best regards from Olga&Dennis&Masha&Maxim
Cons: There is nothing not to like :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Franco and Perla were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were treated like family!

Pros: Very beautiful, immaculate property with great location and an amazing thoughtful, very helpful staff.
Cons: The rooms are very small, even to European standards. I wasn’t expecting such a small room for the price they charge. The breakfast was a bit skimpy too. Maybe some cold cut and better bread would help. But overall we liked the hotel and would probably stay here and hope for a better room, just b/c of the great service you get from the staff.

Pros: Great location, cool staff
Cons: Disappointed by the rooms for a 4 stars hotel (i guess some rooms have better view but our was almost unacceptable (no possibility to open the curtains as you could shake the hand of the guy in the room in front of you - you have to like living in the darkness), and the breakfast was really average with very poor choice.
