Spotless. Welcoming home from home feel. Owner friendly cheerful helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit salad was very tasty, good choice of cereals fruit juice and yoghurt. The cooked breakfast was delicious high quality local produce used and more than enough to keep us going till the afternoon / evening. Beds comfortable lovely view of the Humber Bridge from the room. Ensuite fantastic. Powerful shower fluffy towels lots of extras like hand cream. Body lotions and all nice quality. Nice stroll into town which is a very interesting place lots to see and do. Friendly locals who were happy to advise and help with details of the school and other places of interest. At the school we met a lovely lady called Margaret who was Miss Barton upon Humber 1949 who made the school come to life with her account of the past. We were lucky enough to be there when they had an open day of the public air raid shelter. It has been well maintained and the volunteers who were there gave a good insight into how it must have felt and made it more obvious of how lucky we are and how much we have to be grateful for.
