Excellent location with beautifull views, Cosy room, each with different touch. Very nice hosts, trying to make the stay comfortable. Limited choice in the restaurant - onyl gourmet menu (from 3 to 8 courses) - no chance to get some small snack. If the hotel is very far from nearest village with shops and restaurant, such service is a must. There was a cosy bar, but no one working there during our stay - it is far of 4* hotel. The level of service is similar to boarding house - often empty front desk, no concierge. The first night we stayed alone in the whole building. It does not mind to us - but this cannot happen in 4* hotel. We got a good price for our stay, so we can accept the minor problems but for the normal pricelist level the service provided is not enough
Simply fantastic location, view, architecture, atmosphere. Just try not to take the "observatoire" room, it's nice but not comfortable.
Don't take the breakfast - it was poor and very expansive! The place is beautiful but the room we stayed (blue) was disapointing- bed was too short.
Wonderful dinner at an excellent price. The staff were all very attentive and pleasant. Beautiful views from the rooms at the front of the chateaux and warm in the public areas despite being such a large place (we stayed off-season in winter). Some of the rooms are decorated in a quite tacky fake ethnic style (e.g African and Indian), not at all in keeping with what you'd expect from an old French house. But perhaps that's a modern French thing? Other rooms are lovely.
very nice small castle with a marvelous decoration The service staff in the restaurant was not at all professional. Friendly but very unconfortable in their manner of serving. To talk to the guest the waiter put his face about 10 cm in front of the guests face, when the guest orders he puts his face into the menu so that the guest can not see it anymore (it seems he has a problem with his sight). To show what is on the plate when he serves he puts his finger almost into the meal!!
No baggage carry service or cart, public transportation is not available and taxi need to be requested ahead, no designated sitting area as it is used for a double bed that can not be converted to a sofa, very small area , toilet is sepearated from bathroom.
It was very basic and austere.. The cooking facilities were totally inadequate, no kettle or toaster. The floor in reception was lethal when wet and basic information about the area was not available.
Location We thought the facility would operate more like an hotel than strictly an apartment.
Proximity to Geneva. Small twin beds
The hospitality of hotel reception staff!!
apartment was ok in size and its offering, located close tyo supermarket and shops for daily shoppong as well as bars and resturatnt located a bit far from Geneve, no real public transportayion only once a hour and iut takes more than 30 minutes to reach the city and requires change of lines. no front desk service on the weekend only 2 hours on Saturday so if you have a problem you "stuck"
The magneficent view to the nature , the silent in the hotel , the helpful reception . not having their own transporation from and to airport .
Easy check in procedure, cleanliness
The coffee maker... basically everything else was terrible The staff isn't friendly. The room was dirty. There was only one set of towels for a double room. There was no soap to clean anything and the room was not cleaned by anyone during our two weeks. The price was more than for equivalent residences in central Geneva. The double room had two single beds with very coarse sheets and ratty old blankets. It was worse than most hostels I've stayed in
Excellent Hotel, best design, facilities and countryside site. Wonderful staff and attention. Relax, business, sport or family. I really recomend it and go there everytime I'm in the region.
Very good location, very friendly and professional staff. Enjoyed it very much.
Everything was great. The most thing i liked is that the toilet and bidets was separated from the shower and relaxing tub. I also liked the sound system in the bathroom. The kitchen was not 24 hour service.
the ambience no
This is a very grim hotel, the rooms are tiny and very dark. It's also a half hour walk from the nearest town and isn't serviced by any busses, which makes getting to it very impractical if you don't have a car.
This is a good hotel for travelling by car. It has a free parking in front of the hotel and free wifi in the rooms. The bed in the room was pretty good and staff were kind. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is even smaller. We couldn't find the hotel with our GPS since it is showed a wrong location although we entered the location before our arrival and it was the same as on the web. We stayed in a room close to the front door and it was so loud when people rentered in the night we couldn't get a "good night sleep".
Free wireless internet and very close to the Airport. We found it very difficult to find it. The directions were not clear and a detailed map would have been much more useful.
The hotel was quiet, wi-fi available for free, the bed was confortable. The hot water was out of order, no phone in the rooms, rooms too small, no carpet on the floor, the bathroom had no heating system, no cupboard was available in the room.
They have an automatic machine, where you may pay and get a key at any hour. It is convenient for late arrivals. Too small rooms and poor breakfast.
cheap, close to where I need to go
The staff was helpful and friendly. A pretty good (all you can eat) breakfast is available for 4,80 EUR. Breakfast started about 45 minutes late on Sunday morning. Considering the arrangement of the shower/bathroom, it would be nice to have an extra towel for the floor after showering.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the price was a nice bonus. Reception is closed in the middle of day, making it difficult to get a late checkout or to check luggage until later in the day you are leaving.
I liked the position of the hotel in a very nice village not far from geneve and the very cheap price the rooms are very small
Very pleasant staff. very helpful. the room was small but it was very suitable for my purpose - a stop over between arrival by air and a friend meeting me.
Easy reach, close to the Swiss border, relatively inexpensive, large rooms, friendly owners, beakfast is simple but of good quality.
The location within a 20 minute walk to Perly where I was working.
The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful As it was a hotel, you would expect people from different countries to be staying however the television would only put french subtitles on the programmes and it was already being played in French therefore making the advertised facility useless to anyone that wasnt from that country. Also there were no tea/coffe facilites in the room hich is normally standard and the reception is only open for a few hours a day so if you would like to ask any questions or seek guidance you can only do so between those hours.
Hotel was clean, new, and breakfast included. At intrenet it was not clear the type of rooms, the 2 room apartment was same as the one bedroom apartment, and coses missunderstanding.
Rooms were very spacious and the extra kitchenette facilities were really useful. The room was very clean and had plenty of storage space. The bathroom was exceleent with a good shower. The hotel was not near many local facilities although there was an excellent pizzeria next door. Also the rooms did not have a hair dryer as standard although hotel staff were more than willing to provide one on request. There also seemed to be a problem getting a taxi into Geneva on the day I requested one but this may have been an isolated incident.
shuttle service to airport was very convenient and cost saving. Room was spacious and facility is new and good design. number of shuttle service was limited. Not often enough. it costed me to take taxi from Geneva to the hotel in 11:00PM.
nice stuff， nice room and nice garden a bit far from Geneva city center if without a personal car
Everything. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely arranged. The personnel is so kind, friendly and caring that even after a huge delay of my evening flight the driver with the airport-shuttle was waiting for me to ensure that I'll arrive safe to the hotel. Excellent service for the cost which you pay. No
Nice, well equipped rooms. Internet-access is only wired, slow and inconvenient (password checked several times per session). International (english, german) TV stations would be a plus.
Hotel is six months old, very fresh and modern, and quiet during my stay. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. As a business traveler, I used it as a place to sleep, mostly. The room had a fully-equipped kitchen and a roomy desk for work. Reception desk is open for limited hours: 7-12, 3-8pm. Cabled internet was slow, but (faster?) wireless is to be installed soon.
Exsist microwave Coulored towls
new well kept hotel
It's a good place to stay near cern and other nearby attractions. I have stayed there a couple times now -- I think it is great.
cleaning of room
No dinner on Saturday. Had to find a place away from hotel. Wish I knew it before I got there.
there was only one key to the room.
Clean, well-priced place. Very convenient for working at cern. No complaints.
Tidy and clean place, good breakfast, lots of parking space.
Friendly staff, good clean rooms. clear direction on getting to hotel, signboards on roads so that hotel easier to find.
Nothing, and may be I will never stay again.
1. The staff managed to find a room with an extra bed for our visiting student daughter when we checked in. 2. It is an easy 20 min drive from the hotel to Geneva Airport. 3. It is close to CERN. 4. The food in the restaurant was good and not expensive. 5. The hotel is in a quiet area - there were no disturbing noises You need to drive to get to the town centre.
It is next to the motorway, so easy to find it, and also is just 10 minutes from Annecy and about 20min from Geneva. Also it is clean and suitable for a family.
The owners were very helpful, parking was ample, breakfast was adequate Room was small ,no facility for a hot drink or cold other than at breakfast
Excellent breakfast. There was a convention in town and all the restaurants were booked for dinner and we looked for 2 hours to find dinner with no luck.
I arrived on a Sunday afternoon very tired. I had to wait in front of the reception for 15 minutes because nobody was there. After 15 minutes the french guy appeared. He was yawning at every 3 seconds and he was drunk and smelled like booze from 3 meters. He did not apologize for anything. He asked me if I wanted breakfast also, for the next morning, and from what time. I told him 7 was fine, as I wanted to leave early. Then he asked me if I was sure that 7 was the desired hour, with the expression like he wanted me to say 9, as 7 would have been too much early for him. I quit breakfast anyway and left at 6 from his shitty hotel. I do not recommend P'tit Dej in Villy-le-Peloux to anybody. The guest is horrible!
aaa the stuff
The staff was very friendly and the location was good, right next to CERN. The breakfast was good too. Honestly this place needs a maintenance review and deep cleaning. My bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and strange spots on the carpet. Electrical outlets are also falling out in some areas. Also, the walls are extremely thin and you can hear ***everything*** in the adjoining rooms. It was good value for the money and the staff are fantastic but I confess was glad when I got out of there.
Value for money with clean basic room. Breakfast timing arrangements were poor with no food remaining upwards the end of the times.
free wireless internet smell on the corridor
Hotel is located at good place to access Geneva, Switzerland.
No internet access. No english language television.
Pleasant and welcoming staff and a clean and tidy room. I consider the Hotel to be excellent value for money and very suitable for short stays. The choices at Breakfast and the quality is good value for money. Nothing
Clean, warm, great tv but only French channels, friendly and helpful telephone manner. Receptionist only spoke French,
Nice surrounding, very friendly service After 10 or 10:30 PM there is not anyone in the reception, so in cases you may find yourself unable to get assistance for certain things. Also, for some people it might be useful to know that in order to get to the hotel by bus (coming from Geneva) you have to walk a bit.
Convenient, cheap and practical.
Close to CERN (20 min walk) Wi-fi not so good.
The welcome from the owners and concern to ensure that we would have a comfortable stay.
Great breakfast buffet, friendliness and flexibility of staff, easy to reach from the highway Sagging mattress, shabby room and garden, road with heavy traffic opposite of the hotel
Staff was nice, swimming pool for hotel guest available, quite good restaurant nearby. Small room and too expensive in relation to the quality offered.
Good price quality hotel for an overnight whilst travelling via Switzerland to into France. Helpful reception, basic but clean room with free wifi and parking.
Clean, well-kept hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff made us feel right at home. Excellent fine dining restaurant next door. There was no shower curtain or glass divider, which made it necessary to sit down when bathing to avoid soaking the whole bathroom.
Kindness of the staff. Wi-fi free. Breakfast: essential.
very relaxing countryside hotel ideal spot between the mountains and the city the staff are courteous and hospitable you are made to feel very welcome and the hotel feels homely and is very clean and fresh it is clearly well managed will definitely stay again
Friendly staff - free use of internet Limited choice at breakfast (eg only one type of bread, that would not fit toaster). Also, although there was a pool, which partly influenced our choice of hotel, it had no water! Restaurant very expensive in the evening - but better value during the day (less than half the cost)
Value for money, good breakfast Check-in difficult for people not fluent in french, comfort/cleanliness impaired due to building work
room and bathroom were a decent size and service was ok Dinner (steak was terrible), ordered a point and it came so overcooked it would've bounced if I'd dropped it. Decor was awful. No plug for the bath and I just couldn't be bothered to complain
Cleanliness. no Air conditioning, when we arrived staff did not speak english as written on hotel website. put do not disturb sign up but cleaner still came in.
perfect hotel located in the middle of the plastic valley, excellent value for money
The Hotel Embarcadere is a great hotel in Nantua, which I found to be a picturesque area. There is a lake just across the street and it is quite beautiful. Quite a few people were fishing and there are also some nice restaurants located along the lake. There is also a nice path for running and walking around the lake. The restaurant at the hotel has exceptional food and service as well. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating.
beautiful location very expensive restaurant - much too expensive for a family
Very good restaurant. Friendly atmosphere. Only hotel available in area. Basic beds small and hard. Lack of competition from other hotels
Location overlooking a beautiful lake was unexpected and appreciated. The restaurant was very elegant with an interesting menu. The room was a stark contrast to the beautiful surroundings and of the fine restaurant. It was without charm and warmth and the shower needed upgrading so that the water did not splash onto the floor.
Was comfortable, and enjoyed the view. We thouight the flavours of our dinner were over-complicated.
Rooms were quirky and old fashioned but comfortable. The hotel was friendly and helpful. The hotel looks like ot is being refurbished and then will be even better. The restaraunt was very fine dining with a price to match. The breakfast was expensive and not very good with little variety and coffee from a machine which was not up to the task of catering for the number of people. There is a Lidle behind the hotel and i recommend that you buy your own breakast privisions.
The hotel was clean and tidy but staff were helpful but not as friendly as at other hotels we stayed at. Breakfast was not as nice but more expensive compared to our other stops.
Nantua, the town where the hotel is located is not touristy and have very few restaurant choices.
The location Drab rooms Very expensive restaurant
Well run & very clean hotel in a great location.
Workmanlike hotel on edge of industrial estate and close to autoroute - which probably explains why rooms were available on a summer Sunday night when other, nearby hotels were full. Clean. Web site gave check-in hours from 0700 to 1200. Went to hotel first to check and found check in times are 1400 to 2300. Staff said the restaurant would be open on Sunday night but, in the event, it wasn't.
