Really friendly staff. Great breakfast incl. fresh fruit salat. Very clean.
The owner was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was really nice. The rooms were very clean and well kept.
1.Staff was very kind and fiendly. 2.Price was so cheap against the wide space and reasonable facility of the room.
very clean and comfortable. nice breakfast and good location. good price.
It was a very nice break from being in Frankfurt for a few days. The old world feel made it very comfortable.
Nice hotel, in the hart of the city. Rooms on the second floor miss curtains
Location, the fact that beside a hotel, it is also a very good public restaurant and bar with lots of visitors who are not hotel guests. We liked the lively atmosphere a lot. Normally the hotel bar or lobby is not very attractive; in this hotel, you want to spend a lot of your time there just for a drink or a snack, as well as your dinner. Not really. May be the fact that a lot of tables were reserved for breakfast, so as a hotel guest, you would only have the worst tables available for your brekfast.
Very comfortable and very light/airy room. Food was also excellent.
The price they charged us was more than your confirmation stated the cost would be. You quoted 110 Euros and they charged 118 Euros. Don't know why.
The location was great, walking distance to the train station. Breakfast buffer was great, choice to dine outside or inside.
THe location in small town Germany was amazing, right next to the church. STaff were typical German, not that interested in helping. The morning desk clerk didnt understand the computer systems and we had to leave without checking out. We spent the rest of the next two days fighting for receipts.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was excellent Unfortunately the spa was not open however this was mentioned in the hotel description that it would not open until october, there was no milk in the room for the coffee
The wive form the hotel over the lake and the cleanliness of the room The menucard is a little bit to short
The people and the food!
Everything Stairs not suitable for our Dog, Slippery marble . Not the Hotels Fault
Very good breakfast. Nice Staff. Room 30, takes every foodsmell from the kitchen inside, which is horrible when they make goulash. After our complaint, without any hesitation, we could switch to another room which was very good!
The free internet and breakfast was a nice perk. The hotel restraunt needs to have menus in english. Prices for food were a little spendy and seemed to fluctuate from one day to the next.
It's spargel season in Germany and the restaurant had a full page of spargel dishes on offer. The food was quite good! The hotel room was spacious and clean. The hotel served my need.
food was very good
Very friendly staff, during the entire stay. The rooms are spacy and clean.
The staff were incredibly helpful, spoke excellent English, and the food in the restaurant was very good.
Friendly staff and wireless internet access No elevator
very good room and also the food was very good, nice presence no
Our room was large and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent for both quality and service. The hotel is non-smoking.
The staff was very courteous and anxious to please. Our German is limited, but we managed with their English and our German. The lady in the breakfst room was one person we really liked.
The hotel owner was very hospitable and the hotel was very clean and quaint. Great bar and restaurant. Staff was all very nice. No complaints, just the nippy weather.
The staff were wonderful! It was a very nice, friendly neighborhood, too. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The rooms were very nice. The rooms we were in apparently did not have internet available. It would have been nice to be able to go online (mapquest or google for directions, for instance).
Quiet location at some campus area. New building and rooms with plywood/wood interior and with a nice "wooden" odor. Made me feel a bit like spending the night at some mountain lodge. Reception was located on the building next to, which was little confusing.
Spotlessly clean very modern room using wooden construction (nice smell!) with great attention to details & the environment. Free internet connection, satellite TV, nice balcony overlooking a very green environment, and virtually no traffic on a university campus (no students when we were there!). A really excellent breakfast, served about 1 km away. I think the GPS coordinates given are incorrect, my TomTom SatNav locating the hotel 500 metres away (at another hotel!). The hotel appears to be the only building on campus without a number, although one is given on the internet (9929)! I have pointed this out in their onsite questionnaire. Entry into this building is not possible without a key, and there were no posted details on how to obtain one. Only by luck did I wander into the next building (9928) and eventually found the (very helpful) receptionist in the deepeer recesses of it!
Everything was perfect!!! If someone stays there he will be able to enjoy the nature. The breakfast was adequate. The idea of the college to use one of its buidlings as a hotel was very clever. The staff was very polite and friendly.
Clean room. Good heating (outside was -4°C). Large desk with fast (wired) internet. Clean bathroom with turbo shower. Lot of car parking space, right in front of the hotel. Nice quiet and green environment. You have to go to the other side of the campus to get breakfast, but we did not mind. You can go on foot or by car. Hotel = campus building 9929. Reception = building 9928 (in the building go to your left, room 7). Breakfast = building 9942.
Except for my commrades, very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Easy access to hotel from main roads. Excellent parking. Very nice and attentive staff. No small refrigerator or small microwave. these would be nice since there are not a lot of dining facilities in area. No fans in rooms.
central location, comfort, friendly staff, good breakfast the noise you hear inside the hotel; very noisy toilets and showers.
The hotel was difficult to find as there was no sign on the building to let you know there was a hotel in it.
nothing outstanding no tea and coffee making facilities in room
The breakfast room was very simply furnished; however clean and easy to use facilities.
friendly staff who spoke english. Good view from my room. Value for money no restaurant
no mini refridgerator in room, so it was a little hard to keep snacks
Expellant location, Stuff friendly and helpful, facility "A1", nice clean and big room, ample breakfast, new bathroom, daily maid service, great panoramic view. I will came back.
The view was amasing! There are dust a lot on the chair, toweles. And the water was yellow at the first day in the bathroom.
excellent service & breakfast all staff respond in a charming manner.only negative point was:- that the rooms did not have a kettle for tea/coffee no kettle in the room for tea/coffee
Hotel staff was very helpful.
The room was lovely and the food was great.
Very nice and large room. Excellent restaurant and nice breakfast. One gets very much for a small price. Correct service.
The staff at the Dagstuhler Hof were amazing. Neither my wife nor myself speak any German and they went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of and that we had everything we needed. The room itself was very nicely furnished with an amazing shower and the restaurant on premises was fantastic. We booked a "gourmet" (think that is what it was called) weekend. For the same price as similar hotels in the area we received a three course meal for both my wife and myself on both nights of our stay. The meals where phenomenal with delicious soups, entrees, and desserts. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting stay in a beautiful village a short drive away from the historical city of Trier.
We chose this hotel as a stop over en route to and from a holiday in Austria. The location was just about right as being approx half way between the channel tunnel and our final destination. The staff are friendly and efficient, some speaking very good English and others making do, much in line with my German which is slowly improving. The whole place is clean and inviting and the rooms are comfortable. Food is good, priced in keeping with the service and ambience. The breakfast is good continental fare, with the addition of eggs and bacon from a hot servery. We didn't get a chance to explore the town but it also appeared to be clean, with a range of local shops. Highly recommended There is very little parking at site and there did appear to be parking restrictions on the road during the week, although I don't think there are at weekends. We did manage to get into the car port area at the rear of the hotel room for 3 or 4 cars only.
The double rooms (at least the one we had) is a suite with built in kitchenette. It is perfect for a separate room for the little one to go to sleep in. Very quiet location The hotel is on the outskirts of town, not very easy to find, and it is a long walk to go into the town center if you want to shop or eat. Minor hassle to have the quiet hotel and nice view.
Quiet and peaceful, close to a small town with necessary services like restaurants, petrol station and grocery stores. Enough parking spaces close to the entrance. Very friendly service and good breakfast! No, not really. Only things I missed though were internet connection and cable TV or TV channels in English.
The silence and peacefull environment
Lovely rural location. Perfect for hiking. Real challenge to get to once you're within .5 km of the hotel! No lift.
The location was good and the restaurant facilities at hand was useful The rooms were somewhat spartan and the preponderance of flies throughout the site was off putting particularly in the restaurant.
Hotel was just fine, but the restaurant was a mess. Apparently a new restaurant manager, who didn't know what to do, except for scolding her staff...
Hotel with great personality, in the middle of the nature. Wonderful contrast to autobahn. Why do hotels have to charge us for the wireless lan? We all know it cost them almost nothing to provide the service!
