10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved being able to stay here. Grew up in Black Mountain, so it’s important to me to be able to come down once in awhile since I’m now residing in Marion. The staff was nice enough to help me feel welcomed, and even worked around some policies. This is a great place for the money, and considering how nice the staff is too, I felt safe parking my car here and during my one night stay. Plan on visiting again, and going back to this Super 8. Thank you Super 8!! Victor Adams
5.7 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The cleanliness and the room smelled of cigarettes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast was being served at this time, location was good right around the corner from work
Cons: It was all fine
1.0 Poor
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Well for starters the entire room was never cleaned. So much food underneath our beds. The coffee pot had coffee in the top section where nobody had cleaned it out. The freezer had brown in it. The microwave was from 1980. We used a disinfectant wipes and turns out the microwave wasn’t brown at all it had just never been washed. There were blood spots throughout the room on the walls. The shower did not drain at all. We left for 2 hours and it still has water in it. I was only in town for a funeral or I would have asked for a refund and left. I’ve stayed at plenty of 2 star hotels and this place is complete garbage. The 2 stars I’ve stayed at in the past should be considered 4 star and this not even a half star. Also our first night there we had about 4 cops dealing with somebody in one of the rooms.. All around a horrible stay. I wish I would have snagged some pictures but I didn’t think the option for pictures would be on here. The only bright side is that I didn’t see any bed bugs!
7.0 Good
Pros: It was ok for a fast night sleep. Pricey for type of room.
Cons: Room was old, needs updating.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: Worst place I have ever stayed. Surge protectors in the few outlets. Electrical cords on lamp taped together. The only thing clean were the low quality sheets and towels. Toilet and floors were filthy. Hair in the tub. Microwave 20yrs old.
1.0 Poor
Pros: absolutely nothing positive to say about this hotel.
Cons: Bathroom wall burnt, outlets did not work due to wiring issues. Room was filthy and their was food in the garbage can and Wendy's drinks on the dresser. People partying outside in the parking lot until 3 a.m.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Not clean or up to date at all.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: Yah the bed had bed bug and the bathroom was nasty
1.0 Poor
Pros: Perfect but it was very quiet
Cons: Room had a quite interesting smell and the bathroom was in need of an update that far.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice location near a stream
Cons: Little out dated for the price
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and nicely decorated. It's an older motel but maintained pretty well. . Coffee cups could have been bigger but that's just me. I like my morning coffee and this was good tasting.
Cons: The shower dripped and the toilet shook when you sat down or stood up.

7.0 Good
Cons: Hotel is not Walking distance from shopping area.
7.9 Good
Pros: Quaint older house. Didn’t realize breakfast was not included, but they provided coffee. The location was great and convenient to Black Mountain.
Cons: The kitchen was off limits which we didn’t like as there was no access to cook, get ice, etc. At other Bed and Breakfast locations we have stayed, the owner provided access to the kitchen and just posted times that it was private while they prepared their own meals. Lack of kitchen access reduced the value and made it feel not as welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Owners were delightful and informative. Helped me move heavy boxes of clay I had moved in for the night because of below freezing temps.
Cons: There was no comfortable chair in the room but a nice couch outside the room...just hard to curl up in jammies to read before bed. It is a great old house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and the lovely home. June was as nice as any host could be. The details of our visit to the area prevented us from spending as much time in the house and community as we would have liked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Did not eat breakfast, but food smelled great, coffee good and hot, staff, June- owner very friendly, showed us around home to make us feel comfortable.
Cons: very quiet in room ,which is nice to have peace and quiet but need a liitle something to sleep, would be nice to have a radio or noise machine in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely inn in an enchanting landscape. I felt like being in a novel, cast back in the past: the stove, the sofa, carpets, rooms, cutleries ... every detail was perfect. June is a really nice host, always kind and she makes great breakfasts! What a great experience! I would reccomend it for sure!

6.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location. Dated property and facilities. Not sure I'd pay that price again.
Cons: Price. We checked in late in the evening. When asked if we could have an hour later check out, we were told we would have to pay extra.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: It smelled and it was dirty.if there was another hotel that had a room we would have left. Everywhere was booked .Our key fit another room . Room 102 our room was 107.We finally got up and slept in the car we felt safer there and cooler and my car didn't stink. We didn't even shower it was so dirty and had a window in the shower you could see in the shower. Very disappointed! And he refused to refund us .
6.0 Good
Cons: No free breakfast
1.0 Poor
Pros: There was nothing to like about this hotel
Cons: Everything, the air would not stay on and cool our room and would cut off once it started cooling off. For the price of the room it should have been a lot nicer!
7.0 Good
Pros: location and beside an excellant seafood and steak restaurant.
Cons: no coffee maker. soap was so small, coild hardle get it to lather.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good for my wife and I.
Cons: It is bare bones and a bit over priced.surfaces seemed clean enough but my bare feet got dirty after a few steps on carpet.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to family in Black Mountain
Cons: 30 degrees outside and the only heat available was from a window a/c unit in the bathroom, froze at night. Bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. There was a moldy smell that never went away. Should tear this entire building down and rebuild with new or be removed from the website as a destination. Found both bathroom and front window unlocked when I arrived, while out during the day the front window was unlocked again by someone that made the bed-very suspicious. Also ceiling had one tile that appeared different than the rest, wife felt like we might have had a hidden camera in our room, I sorta felt same. Stay away from this place, you would be better off sleeping in your car!!!!!
6.0 Good
Pros: Walkable proximity to stores, restaurants, and conference location.
Cons: It's pretty dated, but very clean. I knew this had no frills, which was fine with what I needed. The locks on the outside doors were loose and intended for interiors and the safety chain offered little additional security comfort.

9.5 Excellent (164 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was excellent.
Cons: Could not stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the food (at the inn), and the jacuzzi tub was amazing in our room! The service was awesome and everyone was super friendly and helpful! Everything is clean, bed was comfy... no complaints from us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and the location was great. While there were no sidewalks to town, the road was a small side street and not busy. It was an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Cons: The only downside was the heating. We stayed at the end of December and when the heat came on the room became too hot. This is just the result of staying in a very old (1897) building. It would not deter us from staying again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second time visiting the inn. We like the onsite restaurant and the quietness. Friendly, welcoming staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality is superb - Claudia could not possibly have done to make us comfortable and anything we may have wished for at table appeared as if by magic! We are not buffet fans - never met one I liked and don't think I ever will - but we did enjoy the ambience, the hospitality, and the congeniality.
Cons: Rarely able to completely "get away" an there is always work in my bag to be done. We would have been much more comfortable in a room with a space more conducive to getting some things done. The Blue Ridge is a beautiful room and the view everything you promise - we have NO complaint other than that it was a great room for relaxing, but for work - not so much.
7.0 Good
Pros: They charged me even after I paid in full with booking.com And asked me not to go through booking .com again & call them directly, made me very uncomfortable & very unprofessional!
