I loved this hotel. Each room is decorated and designed differently with a central motif (e.g. the zebra room, the elephant room, etc.,. The artwork is beautiful. I loved that they have books in the rooms. My sister even went through one of the mysteries on the shelf while we were there. I also liked their valet service for the car--and the free wine in the evening--and free goodies to eat and water bottles and soft drinks that we could take. Staff was great--and the restaurant next door was outstanding. Who would have thought--a chef who went to culinary school in San Francisco and who won the James Beard award one year. I also liked the location--everything convenient--Trader Joe's across the street, a beautiful park and the river and art museum and library a block away--and, of course, it is right downtown.
Can't think of anything.
The rooms, staff and hotel, all around was wonderful! It was such an easy check-in experience! The staff were all so kind and professional! The room was so nice and such a good size! The bar staff were amazing and so great with their service! I am absolutely going to be returning and referring people to the hotel!
I would only be able to complain about the organization of the valet parking. It just didnt seem to be as organized as it could have. It could be improved.
We ate breakfast almost every day at Richard’s. Had something different each time. It was all very good, but was NOT included in the price of the room.
Would have liked to have breakfast included in the price of the room. My room (Elephant theme) was very small. I did not want to be in it except to sleep. Luckily, the hotel location was fantastic! Easy to walk downtown.
This is an absolutely beautiful property. My room had a delightful spa tub in the corner where the water came from the ceiling-very elegant. I had two decks with a little table and chairs. The restaurant on site is simply amazing if pricey but hey - you only live once. There is even a movie theater basically in the parking lot. You can walk to everything from the Capitol itself, to restaurants, cafes, etc. I urge you to walk next door to the amazing park plus zoo & museum called Julia Davis Park. It is absolutely stunning! For heavens sake - there are giraffes to see even without entering the zoo. No kidding! Anywho, I would be giving this inn the highest rating if it wasn't for one little thing...traffic noise, like drag-racing decibel levels. So to avoid - ask for an inside room, facing away from the main streets and you will be set.
My room faced the gas station and intersection of what could be the two busiest streets in all of Boise. No joke. So good luck sleeping in this college town where nightlife and drag racing seems to begin at 2am.
Great location and outstanding customer service - this includes the restaurant also. They did a fantastic job of paying attention to the fine details., from the valet service to the room amenities. The place is beautiful.
I wish that I had upgraded to a better room for a nicer view - I didn't care for looking down on the back roof top of the hotel. Also, a small microwave oven would have been nice. In all, a very nice experience. Must stay if you are in Boise!
