Pros: It was beautiful, there were lots of activities, the staff was all very friendly. I loved my time there.
Cons: 1 The buffet food wasn't that great. We made reservations for the nicer restaurants every night. 2 The liquor was watered down. We didn't expect the drinks to be low quality to make up for the fact that it's all inclusive.
Pros: The vibe at this place is just lovely. We had never been to an all inclusive before (we like to experience the culture of a place and not just stay on a gated off property), but we booked because it was close to downtown ocho rios and a great price for including the round-trip montego bay airport transfer and free drinks/food/activities.
We ended up loving the layout and vibe of this place. It's a luxury resort but it's kind of fraying at the edges, in a charming kind of way - apparently one of the first resorts built on the island. Everything is extremely clean and well designed. We loved the beautiful trees and plantings overgrowing the beach and pools. The naked island is also beautifully landscaped, with a luxurious isolated feel. We often felt like we were in one of those vacation posters from the 60s.
The naked island. We were nervous about this but decided we had to do it before we left. It was actually really awesome and there was no reason to be nervous. The vibe was much more social out there, probably because being naked breaks down a lot of barriers you might normally feel with strangers. One woman commented that "this place is the opposite of sexy, it's more like becoming a baby again" and that was true. Teneil was running trivia at the pool bar out there and she was hilarious, and the bartender Abigail out there was great too. There's a full bar on the island and there's food out there around lunch too. You take a ferry out, find your beach chair, and then undress. You may not be out there with clothes on, except staff.
Our cab driver Nash was the absolute man. He took us to the blue hole and then we booked him again to take us to the farmers market in ocho rios. He then took us to his favorite bar where we played dominoes with the locals - the most fun we had on the trip. Finally he brought us to a local Jamaican restaurant where much food was eaten. Book him, he's the man.
The blue hole was incredible. Don't leave ocho rios without going there - natural waterfalls and turquoise pools with cliff jumping and rope swings. Our guide was Dave, who was also the man. The guides carry your cameras/iPhones over their heads as they swim across the pools and they never get wet.
We loved the activity lady chevalle as well, who we tried to convince to walk with us to Ocho Rios which she thought was a fully hilarious request. Good people.
Be aware that if you want to do scuba, the beginners class is at 8:30 AM and you may not scuba the day before your departure.
Cons: The food was better than we expected for an all inclusive, but I was sick of it after 3 days. The Asian restaurant has a cool location out over the water, but the food was really bad except the thom kla soup (you're in Jamaica, why are you ordering Asian food anyway. This is an every-Asian-cuisine-on-one-menu place, which was the first sign). The drinks are free flowing and pretty yummy, but definitely watered down (even the gin ordered to our room was clearly half the alcohol of regular gin - I've made a gin and tonic many times and never put 3 shots in it). However, if these drinks were full alcohol, the resort would have a problem with guests being way too drunk so I understand why they do it. We also found more name-brand stuff that seemed to not be watered down on the naked island.
The snorkeling trip was sad because the reefs around Jamaica are pretty much dead, and the "couples reef" is no exception. You'll see some little fish and a squid if you're lucky, but the coral is largely dried up. However, it's nice so swim out in the ocean and the trip is only an hour so why not.
Cabs are very expensive, because the drivers stay with you wherever you go.
My last criticism is that there's definitely a "hush hush" rule among employees that they are not allowed to tell you about fun local things to do (truly local).

Pros: Everyone was very friendly and was always going out of their way to make sure we were having a great time.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like about couples san souci!!
Pros: The location was awesome-my expectations were exceeded in nearly every area. I would recommend this place for anyone who loves to relax and enjoy the tropics
Cons: The price for doing the boating, snorkeling and other paid activities were way too expensive based on the local economy. It costs over $100 usd to go snorkeling!
Pros: The staff was THE best thing about our stay. They are great. Also, the grounds are amazing and well kept. We will be returning next year and cannot wait to do so.
Cons: The rooms are a little out dated but overall were fine and well maintained.
Pros: Great people. Nice beach.
Cons: Long bus ride from airport.
Pros: Absolutely LOVED it!!!
Pros: The hotel staff is superior. They do everything and anything possible to insure you enjoy your vacation.
Heard upgrading rooms, saw a renovate room but liked old room better
Pros: The environment, service - great staff and food,
Cons: We loved everything , jewelry store and gift store could be more conveniently located inside resort
Pros: Pleasantly surprise.we had the time of our lives and the staff was awesome. The staff is the biggest asset the hotel has. Will definitely return there.
With only 150 rooms, this resort is just the right size. It never felt crowded and the guests and staff were friendly!
Pros: Quality of the food and beverages were outstanding. The ambiance of the location (set into the rocks) was superb.
Cons: It would be nice to have some micro brews available.
Pros: Excellent service. Lush, tropical grounds. Smaller size of resort. Resort was at 97-100% full and never felt overcrowded. Food was very good and most of the staff was very friendly except for a couple people.
Cons: Some minor maintenance issues. 1) Went to use Jacuzzi tub on the last night and the jets didn't work.2) Waterski boot was missing an islet so couldn't tighten. Claimed it just happened with the person before me. Boot was the same three days later.
Beautiful would recommend to friends and family.
Pros: The staff and how it was situated on a hill. Also landscaped beautifully.
Cons: Would have liked more buffet style restaurants for dinner.
I have no hesititation in recommending this hotel to anyone visitng Ocho Rios. It has a very close proximity to all local attractions, great food, friendly staff and beautiful grounds & accomodations. I plan on visiting Jamaica again and staying at another Couples resort.
Pros: The friendly staff and the ability to find beautiful secluded locations when desired. Plus the beach bar is always easy to find friendly travelers and staff looking for nice conversation.

Pros: My wife and I were impressed with the boutique feel of the Plantation though it is part of the Sandals chain. Never felt crowded and the facilities felt authentic. The best food we've ever had at an all inclusive. A few earlier reviews claimed the rooms were worn but we felt our room and all the public spaces were clean and not dated at all. We are beach bums and loved the west beach.
Cons: The butler service was ok though certainly not as good as butler services at other resorts. Some of the food staff could use more hospitality training.

A wonderful get away from the hustle and bustle of Ocho Rios.
Pros: It's location and staff.
Pros: Wonderful room. Great pool. Nice location. Fantastic staff with the exception of the restaurant wait staff.
Cons: The wait staff in the restaurant is very concerned about style and presentation but is not the slightest bit interested in providing what customers ask for ( eg. Filling a water glass, bringing an extra drink, bringing food) too bad because food is great.
Overall, the hotel was good for the price. The rooms need to be updated, however. They are far too basic. Installing phones and a small refrigerator, and upgrading the television set with better cable reception would make Hibiscus Lodge an excellent place to stay. The hotel has one of the best restaurants in Ocho Rios, yet the guests have no way of ordering room service from it. Small changes like the abovementioned would greatly improve the hotel. Still, I recommend Hibiscus Lodge.
Pros: The hotel is very clean and has a serene surrounding even though it is practically off the main street in Ocho Rios. The grounds are clean. The room was clean. The view from my room was spectacular overlooking the sea. The staff was very polite.
Cons: My biggest grievance is that there were no phones in the room. Also there was no access to the ice or water machine. The housekeeper delivered ice/water in the early hours of the afternoon so when ice melted, water finished it was difficult to get more

Pros: I like the spacious room and the cleanliness of the facility.
In side of the rooms needs to be updated as far as TV/channels, also need to have microwave, iron and board for guess accommodation.
Cons: I did not like the location of this hotel, it was far from shopping was very difficult to find. It took us more that an hour to find the location after asking people on the street. The sign on the hotel was not very noticeable.

Pros: I like the staff they were very helpful and nice the place was clean I also in joy the food
Pros: Access to drinks in room was very convienientt
Pros: Beautiful property; great entertainment, good food, even better liquor... that's it!
Cons: If your room is in block 3, eg: room # 3xxx,... RUN!!! (unless you thoroughly enjoy the smell of sewage). Once you traverse past the main dining hall & approach the elevator for block 3, a noxious odour of sewage hits you! And it doesn't leave you... it permeates through the corridors and remains noticeably present even when you're isolated in your room. We arrived on Friday evening to a room which was cleaned before 3pm the same day, but which still wreaked of that god-forsaken sewage odour. It was so bad that we checked out on Saturday afternoon, instead of Sunday as scheduled (without being refunded). Your only hope for escape, aside from checking out, is to confine yourself to the many other beautiful areas of this property... the beach, pool, nightclub, dining areas. Just stay as far away from block 3 as possible and dare not venture into your magnificently appointed room! What about sleeping soundly in a comfortable bed to the sounds of breaking waves you may ask... overrated! (unless your vision included the porous smell of sewage constantly tickling at your nose & churning your stomach.) Did we complain you may ask? Yes we did, but was still left to suffer in sewage city (aka Block 3)! I guess I can understand it being difficult to relocate guests when your hotel is close to capacity & an entire block of rooms is under siege! Aside from that little nagging smell :( the property is beautiful & the entertainment is great, despite the service being less than stellar
Pros: The stay was great! 2nd trip...much nicer than the 1st time will definitely go back...food was ok , good mixture of culture. The ackee and salt fish was superb - tasted home cooked.
Cons: I was annoyed that the entertainer performed the Jamaica's National anthem with their hands behind their back - they should know better, they are Jamaican and should show the world the correct thing. As a Jamaican Teacher I was seriously annoyed.
Pros: Great service, food was surprisingly delicious and plentiful is an understatement. Several of the reservation only restaurants that I went to were very good as well. Easy to get to, lots of excursions. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would stay again.
Cons: it's a tough one. I probably would've enjoyed more musical variety but i'm kind of grasping at straws to be honest.

Chrisanns Beach Resort puts you within a 15-minute drive of Dunn's River Falls and Turtle Beach, plus an airport shuttle is available for USD 30 per person. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool and indulge in spa services. Rooms feature kitchenettes and patios.
Pros: We where well taken care of, the staff was like a family to us, every thing that we needed was there and for that reason we have rebook to return, and even ask to be given the same suite that we stayed when next we visit .
Pros: Big room and it was clean. Has a restaurant and quiet.
Cons: Location, the distance from the main strip. The bathroom was very small.
Value for money and the star rating. Extremely clean. Plenty of information provided by the hotel of eating options within walking distance.
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and it fitted our needs perfectly. It as just for a 1 night stay, arriving late and leaving early the next morning.
Cons: I always like a clock in the room and would've liked tea & coffee making facility in the room. This was provided in the lobby from 7.30 am but it's nice to make a cup of coffee first thing when I wake up.
Dirty, unsafe location,
Pros: Nothing, poor housekeeping
Cons: The property was dirty, the advertisement was deceiving, the staff was inadequate, she was told that due to the condition of the property we would not be able to stay.My family was afraid to get out of the car, we were forced to make to make alternate acc
'Two Thumbs Up'... My family and I had a really relaxing time at this hotel. We all agree about the feeling of being home though we were away from home. Tracey the manager is just fantastic. And Antoinette the front desk staff who checked my family in, did it expeditiously and we were grateful. We met other staff during our stay and you all smiled with us and make us feel even more at home. KUDOS to the entire team/staff at Pineapple. This hotel is close to the town, and we love that. Plus an awesome restaurant by the name 'Soldiers' is in walking distance. Well right across the street. And what we love about this restaurant was that they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and their price was very reasonable. For a small hotel, I'm pleased with my night's stay. I'll say anyone looking to explore OCHO RIOS during the daytime and need an hotel to rest and relax after a long day -- consider PINEAPPLE COURT HOTEL.
