Hotels near Montego Bay Airport

Pros: This B&B was in an excellent location, only a few min walk to the hip strip and local beach area. Owners and staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfasts were amazing (they served real Jamaican cuisine), the pool was clean and refreshing, plus they had a game room with pool, shuffle board, air hockey, and more. The value was excellent.

Cons: When you walk around the area be prepared for constant begging (to shop, to buy weed, to get a taxi, etc...). The Jamaica economy is hurting, so folks have to make a living yet for us the begging does not make it fun and at night does not make us feel all that safe. The property was very secure with multiple cameras all over. The property was undergoing some construction during the day, yet we were not around for most of us. You also have to sleep through tree frogs constantly chirping.

Pros: This was my 4th trip to Jamaica. I selected this b&b based on reviews and was delighted that everything was great. Location is right off the Hip Strip. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was so yummy every morning. I enjoyed starting each day with a lovely view and tasty meal. The owners are nice. Staff was professional. The owners referred me to an awesome driver that made me feel very safe as we traveled to and fro all my activities/adventures. The overall vibe at this b&b is calm and peaceful. I recommend it and would return here myself.

Pros: This place had the perfect location. A little up the hill and 5mins walking distance down to the HIP STRIP. Everything was near by including donway, Margaritaville etc... My bestie and I only booked for 1 room with 1 bed but we were upgraded to a room with 2beds at no extra charge. The place is very safe, private, comfortable and very clean. The staff were amazing, professional and welcoming. It's an older lady and her hubby that owns this place and they are doing a great job at keeping up with the place. WIFI was strong all throughout and free Breakfast was included and it was home made and delicious. We had the same thing every day for 5 days lol. Ackee with saltfish and dumplings, my favorite. I will recommend this place over and over again.

Cons: I hate cats and they had one upstairs. U can see cat hair all over the chairs upstairs. Besides that, the stay was marvelous.

Pros: Property Owners and staff went over and beyond to make our stay memorable. The location is excellent and the scenery is beautiful.

Pros: I felt safe, very peaceful, and view was amazing. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. A safe is located in the room to hide valuables while we were out during the day. Host made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect location and in the middle of everything. A bed and breakfast is good for people who want to experience the real Jamaica outside of an all inclusive resort.

Cons: Didn’t like the curfew but this was beyond the property control. After a long day, it’s a challenging walk going up the hill but I needed the exercise anyway. Wasn’t that bad, would definitely stay again. Because Jamaica is currently on a curfew, an all inclusive may be a better fit for food after shut down. If not, this place is perfect. Plan to return soon.

I totally enjoyed myself here for my birthday. The property was well maintained. The entertainment Was lovely. I can’t say much about the food because I ate away from the property most Of the time. The resort is literally on the water and Within walking distance of Margaritaville (highly recommend). I would definitely go again

Pros: Everything was great! We came to seagarden from a different resort that was not so nice, and we were greeted with welcoming smiles and friendly, helpful staff. The beach is right across the street - and the hotel is close to town, so the option to get off the resort and venture is there too. On our last day we were able to leave out stuff there snd still hang out during the day (past check out), and it was easy to arrange a shuttle to the airport/various tours right from the hotel. & the food was great! Overall we had a really wonderful stay.

Pros: Breakfast was great but dinner it sick us we went to bathroom bout of us over and over . I think you should move the grill and put it in the hotel because thats where we enjoy our daliy meal .. big up chefs at the grill they make our time there beautiful.

I usually make myself very comfortable in any situation but I have some quarms about this place. When I got there we were not offered a cold drink but I understood why . The same person getting you your room was the same person running for the drinks. So it was oversight. I love the location of the resort although I got lost getting there and tried calling but couldn’t get to front desk. Had to as juta driver. It’s clean and staff are very friendly. Lots of upgrading needed. Furnitures need upgrading. Needs new towels. The ones we got started ripping the minute we started using them, Shower head was very rusty but was changed promptly when we ask. Toilet was too low felt like I was sitting on the ground had to call about it because it was filling up too much. Whom ever does painting of the furnitures did a lousy job of painting them because they are chipping. The fridge had only water compare to other resort that I’ve been to that juice and soda and water and a bed slippers. There was bathrobes but they looked old and dingy never touched them.. Did not like the beach are by 5 pm the begin taking up the beach chairs and pads. Some of the pads looked disgusting they were torn. The jerk pit was a joke and the food was not even hot and taste nothing like jerk pork. The dining area was nice but the food I was disappointed. Seems like the same thing everyday, and it was always Luke warm never hot. The heating system for the food needs upgrading. A hot meal should be hot. Loved the fruit and salad bar. Only one person making eggs at breakfast should be 2 at least so avoid long lines. Activity was so limited and boring. Loved the fact that I could walk down the hip strip. There is only one gift shop on the premises. My fiancé and wanted to have a dressed up night at the restaurant but after seeing the food that was served everyday we opt out of it. Overall I was disappointed.. I would probably spend a night and go to the hip strip and doctors cave beach but no vacation.

Nice welcoming, had a nice drink while checking into hotel. Rooms are very clean and comfy. The beach was beautiful and very clean. Water was very clear, had a lifeguard until 5pm and I love the design of the beach bar and grill, very beautiful. I like that the club was open late and the pasty shop was open until 2am. So we could snack late by the pool. The food was prefect, many choices and the chef was good. Every food well prepared and I like that we had many options to choose from. The staff were friendly and willing to go extra mile to make you happy. Our kids loved the game room also. Hoping the pantry could be 24 hours. Hope we can bring food from pantry to rooms. Hope they will have a Jacuzzi soon.

Pros: Staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant breakfast was good. I was able to request a vegetarian option which apparently is not that common in Jamaica. The room was not fancy but adequate and clean.

Cons: My room keycard quit working on my last morning and so did the front desk staff's key card so she was not able to resolve this. For the last three hours of my stay if I left my room I had to get a hotel maid with a master to key to let me back in.

Pros: The staff are amazing and so friendly big up to the lady security ! And the bar tender around the pool . And the friendly waiting staff ... we thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine also !

Cons: As before I mentioned the wifi issue... which you did say you had upgraded . We did see slight improvement however we could only use the wifi on the verander which was a little annoying... maybe a wifi router outside the main bedroom corridors would make it work s little smoother.

We had a lovely stay at Toby’s! The food was great, beds beyond comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating—definitely recommend letting driver Paul take you for a fun excursion to Lethe!

I got a pretty good deal on my room. I only needed a room for one night. it’s very close to the airport. I didn’t get to explore because I got her on a Sunday after curfew. Rooms have that “Island” feel. Unlike some people, I didn’t have any issues. Had to kill a few mosquitoes but it’s an island. I expect that. There is a pool (maybe two) and a restaurant on site. The restaurant has decently priced food. I ate breakfast and dinner there. If you’re looking for a nice spot that doesn’t break the bank then Toby’s resort is the place.

We have stayed here over 5 times in 7 years. The owners keep the place up. I would recommend it. It is very close to the airport and close to shops and places to eat. If you have not tried it you should.

Pros: Toby's Resort was a Great place. There pool was nice and they had a bar by the pool where the bar tender was nice I think his name is Paul... I forgot his name but there was a lady at the front desk named Shuncia and she was so awesome and friendly. Way friendlier than the other staff. Now don't get me wrong the other staff did there job but they didn't go out of there way to make conversation and help out like Shuncia. Our room was clean the air worked the tv worked they had some pretty good channels. And it was near by a gym where you can jog to the gym. I stayed for a couple days and it's my job to work out so for me the gym near by was excellent. The oxtail in the restaurant is really good. That was also great... Just overall good experience for someone staying some days in Mobay. Look out for Shuncia and tell her I said Hello! She's very helpful.

Pros: Staff was nice. The place was clean. Close to all the shopping and eating places on Hip Street. All with in walking distance. Stayed one night. Price was right. Stayed there because i had an early flight out of Montego bay the next morning.

Pros: Clean rooms, working AC, cable television, and two pools. After spending 3 days in a rustic cabin in Negril, this place felt like heaven. Also, the location is within a mile of the airport which is awesome. We stayed for one night specifically because we were flying out in the morning and didn't want any hassle getting to our flight on time.

Cons: 1. I didn't like that the rooms don't offer wi-fi. The restaurant does, but that feature just comes off as a cheap ploy to pull more money out of their guests. Its 2015 and wi-fi in hotel rooms should be a standard for any hotel. 2. We booked through Kayak.com and the front desk didn't have our reservation on record. If I hadn't brought my confirmation number and customer service phone number for them, I'm not sure I would have been able to get in the door. Regardless, the staff were very nice and helpful while fixing the issue. My advice would be to book directly to avoid any confusion. 3. The hotel will set you up with transportation to local attractions (Rose Hall Great House, airport, etc.) for a price. After staying in laid-back negril for a couple days, we figured out the pricing scheme for taxis and immediately recognized Toby's quoted prices as a bit of a rip-off (nothing against Toby's, you'll probably see the same pricing at all hotels). If you're willing to actually talk/haggle with your taxi driver, you can walk 3 feet down the sidewalk and one will pull over and take you to the same destination for 1/2 of the price advertised in the hotel lobby. Rose Hall Great House - $10 to $12 (not $30). Airport - $8 to $10 (not $15).

Pros: The staff were so friendly, welcoming and always spoke. The resort, as a whole, was very clean, and staff always had on their masks.

Cons: I noticed on day 2 that the smoke detector wasn't working. I asked about it at the front desk and was told a guest had smoked in one of the rooms, which set off the system. They were waiting for it to be repaired. I don't know about there, but here the smoke detectors have to be working. It's mandatory. Guest safety is a priority.

Pros: Environment was clean, staff was friendly, Room was clean everything that was promised was delivered. Spend most of my time eating and in the hot tub. The kidney and fried dumplings was delicious.

Each member of staff was great. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My room was spacious and clean, with clean towels and bedding daily. Food was good too. The hotel is perfectly situated, right opposite the famous Drs Cave Beach with free entry from the hotel. Very fair price for an all inclusive by comparison to 4 star all inclusive. Looking forward to my next visit. One love x

Pros: The staff was amazing!!! My personal favorites are Dana, Lamar, Richard, and Rochelle,. For an all inclusive the food was decent. The rooms are very clean. Also the tour representative Claudette Was very helpful and friendly.

Pros: The price was the best I'd seen online and after staying there, I think it was the better to stay here, save the money, enjoy wheat they offered and spend your extra cash on activities. It's also on a main strip in Montego Bay. Big advantage.

Cons: 1. They charge to have a guest or family member come up to your room - even if they aren't using any facilities, or eating, and are there for just 1 minute . Seriously!! Not a good policy because while in town people visit for an hour or so and wanna leave but you basically have to pay $35 for each person that comes over. Makes ZERO sense. 2. The buffet food was not that great. Felt re-used. A la carte was much better. I just enjoyed alcoholic drinks as part of the all-inclusive.

Affordable hotel with flat screen television. The cleaning staff was efficient and friendly. The information desk was accommodating. The welcome drink was very tasty. The signature hotel alcoholic drink was really good. The hotel location was convenient. I did not mind the busy streets; eventually, the noise level came down.

Cons: The AC took some time to kick in. Sometimes the water took a while to get hot. Doctor's Cave beach cost $5 to enter and was too strict/rude on hours; wish it stayed open later especially for the hotel guest.

It's not bad, I just was tired of it after the second day.. The jerk hut chicken is a hit and miss..I ordered Uber eats for the remainder of my stay.. Don't look for lobster at this resort. And the shrimps they do serve is over cooked.

Overall I had a wonderful time. In the age of Covid, be aware that is property has Buffet only restaurants and they aren’t all open on the same day. Apparently there is a “steakhouse” that is tucked in the back of the main buffet restaurant however it was difficult to get into. Overall food was decent,, nice entertainment options that end at midnight, and rooms were clean. Not a luxury resort but not low budge either. I would come back if it were with group trip.

Friendly staff, always making sure you are ok. Quick to assist with anything you need. Clean facility. Covid protocols observed and enforced. Relaxing atmosphere. Wi fi and RIU app to find your way around. Digicel and Flow doesn't pick up well in the room though. All in all, everything was great!

I had an amazing time at RIU and have suggested the resort to nearly everyone that I've talked to since I came home. They went above and beyond to make sure things were safe and that guests could still have fun, remain distanced and live life freely again. The absolute worst part of the whole trip was the front desk manager named Christobal, who was disrespectful, rude and demeaning to me and my friend when she tried to check in. His comments reeked of sexism and he was a disgrace to the RIU staff. The manager Ms. Mattis did everything in her power to make it better, however he was a dark shadow on the trip. The rest of the trip was wonderful and I highly suggest a trip to RIU Reggae!

I enjoyed my stayed there , staff were polite special Devon I think he goes above and beyond making sure everything were fine when we went to the bar . Food was ok but could be better. Definitely will stay there again !!!

It killed me to leave. This place was a dream. Clean, welcoming, and fun, Riu Reggae is big enough to have fun exploring, but small enough to feel at home. Food is delicious. In non-Covid times, there are many good restaurants to choose from for dinner, but for now, just one is open each night. Activities and programming were fun, staff was polite and efficient, and there were always plenty of things to do, even if you didn't go on an excursion. Only cons I can think of: music in pool area can be unbelievably loud. Same with stage area in the evenings. The sand is more gravelly than soft. Swimming areas are small.

Chose the Riu Regga for my first-ever solo trip, and the experience has been wonderful. Friendly staff, activities, flowing drinks and COVID-standard precautionary measures. I’ve wrapped my first night here and I’m very impressed. Will definitely return and recommend!

Pros: It is a small resort on the water which resulted in very attentive staff and during the pandemic I had concerns of cleanliness but it was extremely sanitary and they held this in a very high regard as it is their jobs on the line.

Cons: Too impersonal. It did not have the Jamaican vibe whatsoever. It felt like I was in Miami rather than a paradise location. The hotel was too large, there were no "garden" area or grounds to walk through. The beach was just a beach, not much to do there.

MoBay was ok. It wasn't a bad experience, but my family however preferred Club Caribbean.

Pros: We got married at this resort through a cruise line last year. This year for our anniversary we returned. We had a king size bed with an ocean view. Loved the room! It was very spacious. Bed was a little too firm for us, but it did the trick. Also, the daily cleaning service of the rooms are VERY slow. From our 4 night stay they came once AFTER we went to the front desk to request that they come clean our room and change our sandy sheets. The all inclusive is nice, plenty of food. I give the nightly entertainment a B+. Loved the pool and bar area and there is an amazing spot to snorkel off the hotel beaches! Right outside the hotel, if you're up for a quick walk, there's shops and restaurants including margaritaville. We will be back.

Cons: Slow cleaning service for the rooms. Had to request a room cleaning and fresh towels because no one came by the end of our 3rd day. Buffet and food could be a little better, but it wasn't bad or anything. B+ for food and entertainment. A+ for room and beaches.

Cons: I didn't like the food. The food wasn't great at all. The fact that it's all inclusive and you had to pay for wifi was another reason I didn't enjoy my stay. Overall the resort is nice but I wouldn't stay there again... I didn't eat much and I wasn't able to keep in contact with my family and friends because wifi was 5 dollars per an hour...

Cons: There is construction going on that is scheduled to be completed by July-2019. This created an obstructed view from our ocean view Seagrapes 2nd floor balcony, plus the sound of construction noises. We also had to deal with the strong smell of fuel from time to time as vehicles had to drive on the beach to access the construction site.

Pros: You can use other Sandals resorts. For exemplo, we stayed in Sandals Montegobay e did a tour in Ocho rios. We use Sandals Ocho rios structure for lunch time.

Pros: Great location, just a short walk to hip strip, doctors cove, one mans beach and Margaritaville's which is all I needed. Breakfast included and decent wifi. Staff was very warm and friendly and made me feel welcomed :)

Cons: The noise is definitely a problem. Next door to a strip club and music is blasting all night so if youre planning on any sleep its a challenge. During the day traffic noise is also a problem so tough to sleep in as well. Shower is weak and low setting for a tall person it was a challenge!

Pros: My stay at caribic hotel was fantastic! Very friendly staff , studio way bigger than I expected and clean. It had everything you need for short or longer stays (fringe,stove microwave etc). The most amazing part thr location and view from the private balcony! Near by doctor cave beach and all amenities you could need like restaurants etc. I was travelling as a solo female and felt very safe at location and neighborhood.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and if I needed anything the Mgr got it for me. You are very close to the airport you can see them land and takeoff. You have a excellent view of the beach and ocean. They have a restaurant here and a nice pool. Shops are close and there are alot of taxi if you need one for going around town. The price is great also.

Pros: All of the staff were extremely friendly and made sure your needs were met. Always had a smile on their faces. They didn’t seem like they were fake smiles either. I didn’t feel like a tourist. I felt right at home. :)

Cons: I didn’t mind the venue but they can use some changes. They need to provide wash cloths and regular size towels instead of face towels to dry off with.
