No cold water! Scalding hot showers, brushed teeth with hot water. No repair in response to complaints by myself & others.
In need of a renovation
I felt that it was very dated with scuff marks in the walls. There was a poor smell in our room. I booked the hotel thinking that it would be so much better for what I paid. Very 1970's feel! I had considered moving to a different hotel but we were tired from traveling and didn't. I felt ripped off and very disappointed.
Very little worth liking at this hotel
Way over priced for such an old and under maintained hotel.
Location along the Boulder Bike Path makes it easy to walk into town without taking a cab or bus. In addition, the outdoor areas of the hotel were immaculate, and definitely unexpected for the price. The room was well updated, with a few minor issues, but overall, very comfortable and modern. Our room had a view of the mountains behind the hotel, as well as the outdoor "garden" area, which was quite nice. We only stayed for one night and it was perfect for our needs. The bike path right behind the hotel allowed us to walk to Pearl Street in about 20 min, despite it being dark and never having walked that path before. Highly recommended. Other reviewers, mostly business travelers using the hotel for a conference, have had issue with some of the missing updates, likely because their companies over pay for the Westin or Hyatt hotel chains. This hotel, with it's location and price, is perfect unless you're a stuck up business elite.
One wing still needs some updating, particularly in the hallways and in the bathrooms. However, everything was still functional, and for the money, I can't complain.
the young man working the front desk was sweet...over all the place was a warm and dry safe haven for our travels...thank you!
"west wing" is a little hard rode with scary stairs and creepy elevator...and I should not have to pay for bad internet signal!
Well located for our purpose. Clean with great towels in bath. Efficient staff in dining room.
For the expensive price we paid, we should have at least gotten free internet -they Charged! The room with king bed was super small. Nice down bedding but VERY warm. Sliding door to the bath -not a lot of privacy there. The maid came checking the room at 8:15 a.m. We ate in the restaurant. There weren't a lot of people but super slow.
The pillows are awful - they are hard and flat The room is dark, not enough lighting and not enough outlets for devices. The facility needs a face lift. Very 80s
Room with a great view. Accessible to campus - a short walk. Good food. Nice staff - very friendly.
Staff and hotel grounds are fine. Room was confortable - Queen size beds with three different pillows for your choice! Large size flat screen TVs! Lots of towels. Wifi is not free!
House cleaners missed our room one day. The doors are very noisy when quest enters/exits! You can hear guests talking in hallway.. Wonderful beds but the noise kept me up!
Location was great
We arrived at midnight exhausted and were given a nasty room in another wing of the hotel Hall to room was filthy and cold and the room itself was not only old but filthy with moldy bathroom Tile, broken toilet paper roll, hair on the floor and overall just gross and dirty We requested a room Change and were told it was upgrade since we booked on a seperate website and not through the hotel website He next two days , there was no hot water and in he third day we decided to move so we could get a hot shower before heading home. They wouldn't refund us the last day because, again, we booked through kayak and not them It's got ours of potential but the owner needs to spend some money putting the hotel back to what it used to be
Not really convenient. The rooms were not that clean or updated. Charged for internet and even to print a boarding pass.
Rooms outdated. A/C units don't work well. Property run down and not kept up.
Great location - bed was comfortable and furnishings in the room were newer.
Lobby was nice, but hotel rooms, pool, halls, elevator, etc were VERY dated. Looked like the place hadn't had new carpet/paint since the 80s. 30 years ago this was probably a very nice resort, but they haven't done much since then (including very basic repair/maintenance on some things).
The hotel smelled musty. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. Very dated. Most of the lights in the room didn't work. I would stay ANYWHERE else but here next time
New, modern decor.
Noisy; need to soundproof doors and windows.
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and modern
Elevator floors were dirty both days.
Most poorly managed hotel I've ever stayed at.
