Pros: Tub shower. Setting. Beautiful dining room
Cons: No WiFi in rooms. Needs Better towels. Comforter too narrow. Expensive
Pros: Excellent lodging, staff and food.
Cons: I had difficulty sleeping with the warm sheets. I should have asked for thin ones!
Pros: Very special experience to stay in this property as everything is in wood even the bathroom. Staff are very nice. Both dinner & breakfast are excellent. They can even allow us to pack sandwich for lunch.
Cons: During the evening meal was offered a glass of red desert wine of which we assumed was complimentary only to find out it cost 110 K the next morning when checking out. This is a bit naughty as paying for a set evening meal costing 700K.
Pros: Beautiful setting and ambiance. Very good food.
Cons: Not all out-buildings with rooms are equally quaint.
Pros: Very nice place really well taken care off. Good breakfast and dinner. Great option for a stay in Lom area - close to everything and beautiful rooms with great beds.
Cons: Communication of staff was a bit limited - all was very professional, but lacking the 'welcoming feeling'.
Pros: Very unique hotel in 19th century inn (and a few transplanted historical buildings), excellent breakfast and excellent 4 course dinner, no tour groups, perfect location when traveling excellent Sognefjellet & Galdhøpiggen
Pros: Great breakfasts and we really enjoyed that we could make a take out lunch.
Cons: More information and guidance about the walks (grade, equipment needs etc) in the area.
Pros: Fantastic place
Pros: The hotel has a vibe and a genius loci. Our room had a great bathroom, with ground heating and a wooden bath, was a nice touch. The surroundings are beautiful, as well as the dining/bar areas of the hotel - one can sit there, sip a tea and check the books about the neigbouring Jotunheimen. A walking/driving route to Jotunheimen right behind the hotel. It's an upmarket hotel, but belongs to alocal family, and together with a really exceptional breakfast it's well worth the price. It was not only an overnight stay, but an experience in itself.
Situated in Garmo, 15 km from Lom, Kvila Turistheim features a garden and free WiFi. A patio with garden views is offered in each unit. Guests at the holiday park can enjoy a buffet breakfast. Kvila Turistheim offers a sun terrace. A children's playground is available on site and both hiking and cycling can be enjoyed within close proximity of the accommodation.
Pros: Perfect value for the money. Nice owners, who know a lot about their country, therefore they helped with "fine-tuning" of our next day itinerary, which we really appreciated. Shared bathrooms were just few steps away from the cabin and they were nice and clean. Shared kitchen was next door to bathrooms, therefore really close as well.
Cons: There was not much to dislike, we were happy with this accommodation.
Pros: Fantastic place! Family owned and operated, very warm and friendly host couple who really went the extra mile for all of their guests. The view is simply to die for, location is great for hiking and outdoor activities. 10/10. Would absolutely visit again!
Pros: The owner was very friendly and attentive. He gave us an advice about the tourist spots in the area. Our bedroom has a window with the nice view of the lake. Shared bathroom was clean. The wifi signal was strong. It was very quiet at night too. The including breakfast was OK.
Cons: Bugs and flies from the garden got inside the bedroom and it's quite annoying.
Pros: I’ve never felt such a warm welcoming arriving to a hotel. The owners of the B&B was very helpful, making us some dinner even if we arrived pretty late. They also gave us some great suggestions on what to do and see in the nearby area. I would recommend it to anyone!
Pros: We love hosts Rikke(麗卡）and Erling(爾林）so much because they’re so friendly, helpful and considerate. We had the napkin broken accidentally. They aren’t angry about it and never asked for additional payment. We are really sorry and grateful it. Definitely the entire cabin is so nice. We got private kitchen and bathroom in it, which is really convenient. What’s more important, it has great value for the price. We highly recommend this cabin and the hosts. They gave us lifelong memories. Thank you! I love you
Cons: Definitely nothing
Pros: Very quiet place with picturesque view on a lake. Quite pleasant family-owners. There were some toys and open air games for play.
Pros: The couple that owns this place is so friendly! It felt homey and warm. We showed up only with one bed booked and they were really easy going about adding another to our reservation. They were super helpful with directions and have a lovely place.
Pros: We had a standalone two-bedroom cottage that felt very home-like, so we really enjoyed our stay here. Amenities were good (filter-coffee machines can be found in the shared kitchen, the rest is in the cottage), view to the lake was great. Good price performance.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: Cosy cabin! Friendly staff, nice diner and quiet area!
Pros: The owners were very nice and the cottage was very nice and clean.
Pros: Nice cosy atmosphere, very pleasant hosts, clean rooms.
With a stay at Eidsbugarden Hotell in Vang, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Lake Bygdin Pier and Eidsbugarden Monument. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: It is the best overnight opportunity in the area.
Pros: Beautiful area. Focus on mountain hiking, but you can take a short walk to a waterfall nearby the hotel. Decent breakfast, dinner was quite good. It is not a cheap hotel, but you don't have many options if you want to stay in Jotunheimen.
Housed in a building from 1897 in Lom, the historic Fossheim Hotel Lom offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with private bathrooms and cable TV. Lom Stave Church is 100 metres away. Lom Folk Museum is situated 150 metres from the hotel. The Norwegian Mountain Museum is within 2 minutes' walk.
Pros: Historic building, good location. The room was light and comfortable with a view over the fjord.
Cons: The evening meal was very expensive with very little choice and very little food on the plate.
Pros: Reception was brilliant in organising at short notice, an excursion that I was interested, via local contacts. Personalised service, you could not ask for anything better. Interaction with Norwegian towns-people added to the experience.
Cons: A little bit overpriced .
Pros: The views from the room were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the staff was very cool.
Cons: Just to mention something, it was difficult to find out how the shower worked (you will see why if you go to the hotel) :-)
Pros: Easy to walk to everything in Lom.
Cons: No fans available and no air-conditioning.
Pros: Our cottage was roomy and fitted with all required equipment, warm and comfortable. The common areas of the hotel are full of character, genuine and welcoming. The dinner was exceptional (both food and service) and the breakfast buffet was also excellent
Cons: The double bed in the cottage bedroom was too narrow, with one of the sides facing a wall - not so comfortable/practical
Pros: Very small room and not comfortable shower
Cons: Very small room and not comfortable shower
Pros: The food was superb
Cons: Need a wider bed.
Pros: The food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the service at the bar.
Cons: Limited parking right in front of the hotel.
Cons: A bit expensive for the inn with very basic facilities. The restaurant is good but really expensive...from the other hand, what can you expect from the very central Lom spot...

Wi-Fi is free in public areas. All rooms at Elveseter Hotell have a private bathroom with shower or bathtub. Guests can choose between rustic rooms or more brightly decorated rooms. The self-catered apartments include kitchenette and a private balcony. Local dishes with an international twist are served with a selection of imported wines at the rustic Valhall dining room. Drinks can be enjoyed in the hotel bar. The hotel has a large collection of art and artifacts from Norway, including the Sagasøyla Monument. All buildings at Hotell Elveseter have names from Norse mythology. Galdhøpiggen Mountain is 18 km away. Lom village is 24 km from the hotel.
Cons: Beds too narrow
Pros: Good location to take some rest before trip to Galdhøpiggen. Large parking.
Cons: It was empty soap dispenser in a shower. Noise in the room from the water stream outside and transparent curtains do not contribute to good sleeping.
Pros: A good breakfast with view of the river and mountains.
Pros: outstanding location with a great breakfast. the made-to-order food was excellent and a nice change from the standard buffet.
Cons: better internet access. this is becoming more of a must-have for me when I travel.
Pros: It was a great stay for one Night. The Hotel Service is outstanding! We will come back for more nights!
Pros: This setting and the incredible 'Land of the Giants was spectacular.
Pros: Beautiful common parts and clean and functional rooms.
Pros: The hotel consists of many old buildings of different types/styles. Full of old handicraft furniture. Fantastic original paintings of famous Norwegian painters.
Cons: Because of the old buildings you cannot compare the rooms with modern hotels, but some improvements in bathrooms should be made. But all in all a fantastic place !
Pros: like a Norsk folk museum - beautiful antique furnishings, very friendly and helpful family staff both Inger and Ask Eirik Elvesater, magnificent grounds, breathtaking scenery all around
Cons: This property is way overpriced for its value. The breakfast was of poor quality and very little was available. There is no where to eat dinner but at the way overpriced hotel. It is obvious that this property caters to your groups and is only concerned with making money, rather than ensuring the comfort of its guests. There are better places to stay elsewhere on the Lustrafjord.

Pros: Had chef dinner, good food. Nice location. Nice views of the lake from the room. .
Cons: Rooms were basic, more like a Refugio, but still comfortable
Pros: I loved how simply wonderful the room was. It had a beautiful view to the snow covered mountains and peaceful small lake. We were extremely satisfied with the Staff, the amenities, the common areas with the fireplace and the back part of the hotel. The best part of our stay however, was the food. What an incredible experience!! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! Would stay here again without a doubt! Keep up the good work!
Pros: Dinner was exceptional with wines to match
Pros: Very nice people, beautiful environment. Tobias is an excellent chef, he makes wonderful dishes. He is really talented and he loves to give you a fantastic culinary experience. Michelin ⭐️ worthy.
Pros: Very comfortable mountain lodge with unexpectedly good gourmet dining.
Pros: Excellent dinner......take well care of the chef
Pros: Reception staff on arrival were very helpful. Dinner was sensational - tastes and presentation
Cons: Having to pay 20 NOK for a thermos of boiling water on departure after having paid for 2 rooms, 3 dinners and additional beverages did not endear me to the place, or even Norwegian values!
Cons: worn down place, no effort at all by staff/owners to provide a pleasant experience. staff 'forgot' to clean the room, the payment details were different than what was booked on booking (i only found out after paying), missing pieces of carpet in hallway, room window didn't open, very bad mattresses, bad maintenance / cleaning around the hotel (example: tiles at entrance hotel missing - hotel just isn't well kept up). worst experience by far in last 5 years of staying in different hotels around the world - and definitely worst experience by far in our 2 week trip around norway). this place is overprices by at least 150%. the breakfast was decent and the restaurant good; a very good starting dish (trout) in particular. not worth it staying here at all - i would say avoid at all cost if possible; maybe just book a dinner if in the area.
Pros: Food is fantastic.
Cons: Rooms need renovation
Pros: Location and ambiance, particularly the fireplace with mountain view, was a highlight of our stay
Nestled in the town of Lom between the Jotunheimen and Reinheimen National Parks, Nordal Turistsenter is built in a traditional rustic style with light and modern interiors. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and an à la carte restaurant. Each room at Nordal Turistsenter comes with a TV, complimentary toiletries, and some have views towards Lom stave church. The hotel has an on-site pub, the Nordalsfjoset, which is a converted barn open daily during the summer months. The town of Lom has several cafés, shops and restaurants and is a common starting point for trips to the Galdhøpiggen glacier and the fjords. The town of Otta is 61 km away where there are a variety of shops and restaurants and a train station.
Pros: It’s all about the location - best in Lom. The room was big and the bed comfortable. Best view from the room. Good breakfast.
Cons: No hairdryer - not in the room neither in the lobby. They said they should probably get one - and yes they should. No bath mat and no hangers for towels, no shelves for your hygiene or make up products in the bathroom.
Pros: We had a nice room with a great view overlooking the river that runs just outside the hotel. A typical Norwegian hotel: no fancy style but a reflection of the active outdoor life of Norway. Although we were there in June, the hotel was partly occupied by youngsters from a ski club on a training camp. Hungry youngsters who had almost emptied the breakfast buffet by the time we got there.
Pros: Great view. Breakfast was a vast improvement on dinner
Cons: The menu bore no resemblance to the sample menus on the website. Under staffed and impossible to find a clean water glass. The self service set up was taken to extremes.
Pros: Convenient location as a half way stop
Cons: Short staffed on the counter. Receptionist checked people in , took food and drink orders + answered phone.
Pros: Room was clean and quiet. A nice location. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: Room was small with nowhere to store clothes. Bathroom smelled of drains. It was expensive.
Pros: Great view of the church from our room, which was large. The bathroom was small but had a good shower.
Cons: The dining menu is quite restricted but the breakfast is great
Pros: Scenic location by the river
Cons: Family room really small, the bunk bed really close to the ceiling so not possible to even sit and no place to hang together. Plus extremely hot in the room. Super small bathroom. No bins. No minibar or fridge.
Pros: Breakfast has waffle machine. Good location
Cons: Have to move luggage to second floor. Reception is too busy with food and check in. Flies get into our room. No shampoo. Pillow too soft
Pros: location and breakfast
Cons: small and inconvenient for over 1,500 NOK
Pros: Nice cosy property, wooden structure, furnished basically but with taste. Nice view from the room over the mountains and Lom Stave Church. Staff helped with late check in
Cons: Flaky WiFi
