Pros: I liked the very homey vibe -- it was very comfortable, like being in your grandma's home, but without grandma. Breakfast was nice! Complete with grandma dishes :) The couple that run the place are super nice and the gentleman is so funny. We felt so welcomed and informed and they both made us feel right at home.
Cons: I don't know that this place is for everyone because of the extreme grandma decor. But we were there for the Shakespeare festival and it was a great location and very homey.

Pros: It was charming...the house was beautiful...the food delicious and was catered to our allergies.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: It was more than I expected. It felt more like I was visiting someone’s house than staying at a hotel. Donna was such an attentive, warm and friendly host. I was there for the Shakespeare’s festival for the first time. She knew all about the plays and restaurants and filled me in. There was one steakhouse in particular “Milt’s steakhouse” Donna recommended and I wanted to try. It was difficult for us to get in at the time we wanted. Donna offered to make the reservation and was able to work it out for us. Next time I visit Cedar City my first choice will be the iron gate inn. If it is fully booked I trust Donna to make a great recommendation.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great ...except...see below
Cons: We loved everything about the place except we had a dog with us so we stayed in a pet friendly room . The room appeared to be very clean but the smell of wet dog permeated the room . The smell was soo strong that my husband and I couldn’t even sleep well during the night because the smell was so offensive . Not sure why it had to smell so bad when we have dogs at our house and it never smells . I would never stay there again unless we were actually able to check the room before staying . They really need to work on the smell . Horrible
6.7 Good
Pros: Location When I reported finding 2 bugs in the bed and the odor in the room the staff quickly acted to resolve the issues and offered to move us to another room immediately
Cons: Smelly room and bugs on the bed

Pros: Pet friendly, super clean, pool and hot tub, lots of pillows and comfy beds...delicious breakfast bar! Super friendly staff.
Cons: No free cancellation!
7.5 Good
Pros: Standard HIE experience that we look forward to with one exception.
Cons: Unfortunately we got a room directly over the pool (203) and there was a rowdy crowd in it having a lot of fun. The noise prevented any of my family from sleeping until it closed at 11. I complained to the nice young man at the front desk when it was happening and he offered to ask the parents to get control of their children. I said no but just wanted to let him know of the problem and confirm it closed right at 11. Thankfully it did and we were able to get some sleep. When you check in make sure to avoid the rooms over the pool at least on the second floor. Would stay here again but only at the other end of the building.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was what we need to sleep for the night, clean, comfortable. It met our expectations.
Cons: The breakfast was lacking in may ways but no different from other locations. The needed maintence, when I told the front desk they said, yes we know.

Pros: I had a King room for my husband and I. The room was a good size for 2 people. The room and bathroom very clean and modern looking. The hotel is new so the lobby and breakfast area were clean and modern. The hotel staff at the front desk were very pleasant and accommodating.
Cons: Plan on going to the breakfast early. We went during the last 30 minutes it was offered during the week. A good portion of the food was missing from the assortment and had not been replenished. We were not the only guests that had this problem finding something to eat. The king sized bed felt lumpy and there was not a variety of hard and soft pillows offered. The ones we had were hard and it would have been nice to have a variety. I've stayed in other La Quintas that are the new model and didn't have any of these problems.

Pros: Good breakfast nice area
Cons: No microwave in room. Looked like it was removed. It was too far from Zion and by the time I got there parking was taken so could not do much there except park st shops. Ice machine broke on my floor so had to go to 2 Nd floor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We didnt eat breakfast at the hotel
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location to high way
Cons: Putout staff
7.9 Good
Pros: It was a full, hot, fresh breakfast with a wide variety of options. Cold milk with the cereal, Hot oatmeal and waffles, hot eggs and sausage, cold yogurt, a working 4 slot toaster to service more than one person at a time. Oh, TWO waffle irons. Variety of syrups, jams, and condiments. The location was IDEAL traveling north from Southern Utah. I had gotten a flat tire seven miles outside of town, and this place was easy to find, easy to access, and close to the ramp without being too noisy. Beds were clean and comfy, pillows were HEAVEN, the pool was great, and there was AMPLE toiletries for all of us. And lots of fresh towels, too. A safe, microwave, Direct TV with all our favorite channels, and a great fridge. The checkout process was a dream! Beautiful views from the top floor, especially the balcony in the suite. walking distance to Golden Corral and a gas station, with cross walks. Very good location.
Cons: The check-in process was bad; but I don't think that's common. We were given the wrong room 3 times, on the top floor at the end of the building, so I did a LOT of walking with my baggage just to get checked in; my kids were falling apart as I had to go get it fixed each time. There was some strange film or goo residue on the wall in the big bedroom and on the adjoining door (we had a suite) and the other door of the smaller room. it didn't look clean. Also, it has become common in hotels to provide a make-up removal wipe so that women don't get mascara on the nice white towels. There wasn't that option on this occasion. Oh, my kids were VERY disappointed that there was NO hot chocolate available anywhere. Even when we asked the front desk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, staff, convenience, breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: Size of room.
Cons: The extra towels I requested when I booked online was not in the room. Toilet paper is like sandpaper.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Parking, freeway access great. Room spacious. Services nearby.
Cons: N/a
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The morning front desk clerk was very rude on the two times we needed assistance
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable rates, very clean rooms and very comfortable bedding.
Cons: USB outlets on the bedside lamps did not work.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The location next to highway so we could leave quickly.
Cons: From the moment we arrived we were treated very rudely. The woman at the front desk was very short with me. The hotel smelled foul and also smelled like smoke. When we got to our room our tv wasn’t working so I called the front desk and I was so shocked the way I was treated. She answers so rudely “FRONT DESK” and I told her our tv wasn’t working and she said “ What do you mean your tv isn’t working?” And I said that it says no signal and she replies with “......ugh! I’ll be right up I guess”. The bed had fleas or something because I itched all night. I will never ever stay at a Comfort Inn again and I will tell my friends who travel for work my experience with Comfort Inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast. I thought it was just going to be a Danish and some Orange juice, but it turned out to be a full on miniature buffet with eggs, sausage, waffles, and more!
7.5 Good
Pros: Very attractive lobby. Rooms up to date. Very comfortable desk chair, but it showed a little wear. Good choices for breakfast.
Cons: Stairs a little dirty. Usually very clean there.

Pros: Easy to find. Right off of the freeway.
Cons: The bed foot cover was dirty and it wasn't dirt.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is pretty convenient. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast was not very good. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs and there was very little protein choices. Our room was clean when we arrived but housekeeping didn't do a great job in cleaning our room the next day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was fantastic
Cons: Breakfast was abominable, totally a disaster. Cold, rubbery eggs, no breakfast meats, no fruit, warm milk, stale bread products.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed, good lay-out in the room in general. Very nice pool. Good coffee.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. However, coffee was very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. Easy to get to, well marked and easy commute to the Shakespeare Festival location. They have redone the restaurant which is a plus. The receptionist checking me in was excellent and waived the early check in charge. It is a good value for the money. Room was spacious and great lighting in the dressing area of the bathroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nicw staff ..room was good ..and the resturabt was good ..
Cons: Actually it was what i expected and did the job for me .nothing bad
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing, bed was comfortable, and clean.
Cons: Complementary breakfast. They ran out of protein, yogurt, so if you weren't one there in the first hour you got nothing the next 2 hours.
6.7 Good
Pros: Excellent location.
Cons: Poor quality breakfast. We got down by 8:15, breakfast supposed to be served till 9, no eggs, bacon or yogurt left. Eggs not refilled for about 20 minutes, and then they were hard as little rubber marbles, some grayish in color; unappetizing. There were so many people, that egg supply disappeared quickly, with not another resupply for another 20. No more bacon or other meat at all, and no more yogurt. People coming down later but still before 9am were simply told bluntly 'No more, all gone'. Coffee was terrible, half and half ran out. No explanation or apology for any of that. Our remaining days we simply went elsewhere for breakfast. Breakfast room staff were unsmiling, unpersonable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Can't think of anything I didn't like.
5.8 Okay
Pros: I liked the location. The service from the housekeepers was good.
Cons: The area for ones dog was VERY small. No waste bags were provided, nor waste receptacle. Very important the pet policy does not include support animals that do not provide a physical service. Regardless of registration, letters from physician, state disability license plate. THIS INCLUDES PTSD FOR VETERANS. The policy is very humiliating.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: the room smelled horrible! It was definitely NOT a non-smoling room! We didn't get to use the hot tub because about 15-20 guests(?) were drinking bear in glass bottles and took over the area so no one else could use it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location of facility and location of room were excellent. Breakfasts were good but there could have been a bit more variety -- same eggs and sausage every morning for a week.
Cons: Floor of room was dirty when we checked in. Found a cockroach in the bathroom sink area. Next day asked a maid to clean the floor and she did so, an excellent job!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Tv broken, bathroom in poor condition

Cons: I waited by the front desk for 30 minutes, no one showed up to check us in. I could see my reservation paperwork and key laying to the side. Still need to speak with general manager about reimbursement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect from check in to check out
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was good & convenient. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Hotel was older & needed maintenance!
7.9 Good
Cons: We were located next to the outside patio and the group that was there was loud until midnight. Front desk wasn't helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location just 15 miles downhill from the Cedar Breaks National Monument. Staff are friendly and helpful. Located on a main road in Cedar city the hotel was easy to find.
Cons: The eggs were very machined and the bacon was ... well, it probably once was meat. Room felt a bit cramped.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Convenient location to freeway. Facility appeared new or recently remodeled.
Cons: No elevator. Rather spartan accommodations. Our room was on the second floor with a smoking area just below outside, where 3-5 men were smoking and drinking the next morning for a couple hours. Wasn’t sure it was too safe to load up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a last minute booking, so happy they had space! Clean, modern, and free breakfast. Not a huge spread though. Swimming pool and hot tub.
Cons: Breakfast was minimal.
7.0 Good
Cons: Breakfast area unkempt
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and the cleanliness of the room .
Cons: The TV did not function - I arrived around 930 and did not feel like re-packing my stuff. Their onsite restaurant had menus in the room and the hours showed it open until 10 PM, however, when I went in at 9:30 they had just closed. Pet rent is 1
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean, updated and the staff is excellent! The breakfast at this hotel is the best!!
4.6 Okay
Pros: It easy to find and near to highway
Cons: The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are nothing less than disgusting. The pool has not been cleaned in years, as seen from the depth measures ,which are white under the water line and black above... The Jacuzzi smelt as if someone had urinated in it. The entire Pool area has not been painted or renovated in about 5 years. I had reserved 2 days but left early as I would not risk the health of my children in the pool.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: El Rey was overall charming. Since it is somewhat older, it had that feel of days gone by which brought back fond memories. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The bathtub was very slippery and the water temperature was difficult to regulate. The heating/ac was challenging to regulate as well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pool is located in the middle of the property and not on the main road. The rooms on the 2-floor wing have been renovated and are clean. But the rooms on the other wing are musty smelling. We asked to move rooms and upgraded for a small fee to the 2-floor wing.
Cons: The single storey wing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice motel. Very conveniently located.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, well maintained, quiet and in the historic downtown area. Lots of restaurants close by.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice. I had booked through a 3rd party and didn't realize that our room would not have a fridge. The front desk staff was awesome - they kept my ice packs cold for me during out 4 day stay.
Cons: Because I booked through a 3rd party, I felt that I was misled as to the room amenities.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location to start your trip towards over the mountains. My room was located in the back and was clean and quiet. Good, lively restaurant right beside the hotel. Had some trouble with the wifi but the front desk was able to get things going again.

Pros: It was a great stay in a great location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The variety of activities to.do right at the hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: Property, facilities, and staff were great, the 3rd party restaurant and bar was TERRIBLE, bartender was slow, and admitted bad service for waiters & waitresses not wanting to work and more tips for him...terrible service
Cons: Terrible Bar & Restaurant service...rooms are rarely if ever cleaned, floors are rediculously dirty and smell...
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The food wasn’t good at the restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Cedar Breaks Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. It’s very close to so many national parks and monuments, so it makes it a nice place to be able to go see the sights without having to stay in an overpriced motel at Bryce Canyon National Park, or Zion National Park. The resort offers tons of activities, both for adults and kids. The room was great — clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Cons: Don’t expect this to be a place that offers everything. There are a couple of general stores around, and a few places to eat, but your options are limited, as well as somewhat pricy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is cozy, yet spacious. Wonderful family atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and see it in the winter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great and the staff was excellent
Cons: It would be nice if the restaurant was open for breakfast
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has good food at very reasonable prices. Liked the fireplace in the room. Very nice.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable so I didn’t get much sleep the two nights we were there.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Awesome room. One of the best and I live on the road over 200 days a year. The night staff gentleman at the desk was great and helpful during a disturbing situation as was the maintenance crew.
Cons: I had money stolen by another guest at the pool. I filed a police report and inquired multiple about video review and GM follow up. Still have heard nothing- also horrid internet service, which is frustrating and costly to my business. Shady hidden fees
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were huge , two fireplaces, full fridge, dishwasher, jetted tub
Cons: Parking

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room!
Cons: Sink slow to drain.
7.9 Good
Cons: Facility wasn't as nice as the other Hampton Inns we stayed in on our trip.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beds were good. Room was “pleasant” but below standard from all other Hampton properties I’ve visited.
Cons: I definitely overpaid for this room
4.6 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good. The location was good.
Cons: The width of the bed advertised as "queen" was much smaller than a regular-sized queen bed. The size was between a "double" and a "queen" and, for two people, very uncomfortable. The TV was inoperable. The morning staff person ( as I recall, her name was "Kia") was extremely rude. We waited at the desk at least five minutes to check out while she held a phone conversation regarding a nonpayment for another guest. She neither offered to put her conversation on hold while taking care of us nor apologized for our wait after she was finished. Even though we checked out early she also didn't even have the good sense to ask us if there was anything about our stay that we weren't pleased with. She is a real negative for this Hampton Inn. We have stayed at Hampton Inns for at least a decade and this is the first one with which we were dissatisfied. We will continue to stay at other Hampton Inns but for sure not the one in Cedar City, Utah.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: How clean room was , the Breakfast and it’s variety and friendly staff .
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great. Beds were comfortable. Convenient to many restaurants.
Cons: It was difficult to find the hotel which is stuck on a backstreet. The rate for the room was high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, Clean
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is always helpful & friendly. Stayed at your property multiple times. Wish you had a reward program...
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good location. Seemed clean.
Cons: Bed was so uncomfortable and rickety. I found a sliver of a fingernail in my bed and it wasn't mine or my husband's. I'm praying that they actually did change the sheets and it was just caught up in the laundry. The room was clean, otherwise. Walls were so thin. We could hear the neighbors' conversations until after 10 p.m., and ALL the screaming/crying/wailing children in the next room, AND the mother trying to talk them down, then, finally her yelling, "Jesus! Would you stop!!!" This went until after 11 p.m. I get that she was having a hard time with her kids, but how about better insulation when building a hotel? Sorry, little cranky here because I didn't sleep well last weekend.
7.9 Good
Pros: loved the pool :)

Pros: The staff was trying his hardest despite diffiuclt technical difficulites and did not complain when I lost my key.
Cons: Upon check-in I was told the computer was down and to come back. When I asked if the computer did not work when I came back what would happen...I was told that I would get a free refund. HA! That would not have been helpful at all. Luckily that did not happen!! It worked when I got back.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room smelled like someone was smoking in it very stale showed up late had to ring doorbell and wait twenty minutes for someone to come to a window to handle my check in very unprofessional
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was quiet and easy to get to. Also the room was a nice size and everything was adequate. Direct tv was good to have and Wi-Fi.
Cons: The breakfast was less than expected. Suggest to have some fruit options even if just apples, banana or fruit cocktail. Also carpet was wet still from recent carpet cleaning.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable.
Cons: The outdoor pool was very hard to enter. Also very old. Not safe for children.

5.8 Okay
Cons: Kinda run down..tv didn’t work..microwave from the 70’s...arrived about 2:30 to check in.. they said check in is at 3:00 but we could check in now, for an additional $10. What a joke... never heard of that before. Never staying here again!

Pros: Everything was ok. Clean , and big room, bed comfortable . Breakfast absolutely ok too. I would book this motel again.
Cons: —
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to all we came for.
Cons: Empty property next door and a rear exit.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Dishonesty never pays. When someone requests an ada, accessible unit with grab bars specifically through 5 emails then books after being assured they have such a room; when then checking in, I describe how the motel the night before deceptively booked and took payment only to not have a handicap room; being assured, still you have such a room; they take payment on your card and then you go to the room and find it isn't so, only to be told they are legally exempt from having such provisions and now you can't cancel. Never lie to would be guests!
