Fitness room small but good and 24hr good location with free parking and staff friendly
Beds (incredibly comfortable), free wifi, cable, bathtub/shower Lack of shuttle service to Midway airport before 8:00 AM and after 10:00 PM. I reserved a room here primarily because I needed the free shuttle, and was led to believe that the shuttle would pick me up at 10:15 PM when I was at the airport. Had to cab it instead, but at least the cab was cheap. Rooms are a little overpriced considering there is no late night shuttle.

I liked the location just outside of Chicago but still close to many attractions without. Breakfast bar was wonderful, neat,clean, and very well organized. I like the check in and check out times. The rooms were very clean and perfect for our weekend trip. Plus free parking is always nice. Couple things. As I checked us in (5/21 around 7pm) the girl said she needed a card on file for any damage or what not. Understandable. But what she didn't tell me is that she was charging my card $20. (Standard I know) but she didn't even tell. Had no intention of telling me. I only knew because of my mobile banking informing me she took money. When I asked her she goes oh ha ya. I guess I should of told you I was charging your card. You think? That's theft. Not happy about that one bit. Next. Every best western I have stayed at all have the high pitched water whistling sound. So when people shower it's loud and only half the water makes it into the shower head. The rest spills all down the wall. The toliet would flush then take 20+ minutes to fill up again. Really loud and annoying. But like I said you get what you pay for. Great cheap hotel for a Chicago visit. But you get what you pay for.
Didn't stay at hotel. Cancelled reservation with best western. Piceline wouldn't cancel. Made reservation thinking BW was pet friendly. They were not. That's my problem.
Reasonable price. Acceptable breakfast. Would stay there again. I don't stay in hotels enough to answer some of the questions above. For several questions I would have answered no-opinion. Bathroom door didn't latch; staff repaired it while we were out. Dresser drawer is on the verge of breaking; we didn't use the dresser.
The room was very small for two bed to fit in the same room.
Staff was extremely nice No pool, room smelled musty but except for the older carpet and the dirty bathtub the room seemed clean enough.
Super friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Definitely recommending this place to anyone traveling through the Chicago area. This place bumped up Super 8's reputation in my book! Very satisfied.

The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't like getting all of my stuff unpacked and walking down the block to a store only to find I couldn't get back in my room for about two hours. We were on a girl trip so that completely wiped out our first night. It also didn't help that they told us they knew they were having trouble with the lock but put us in that room anyway. Then they told us it would be twenty minutes for them to get the master key there since a staff member took it home and that ended up being another hour to hour and a half. They gave us a room to wait in but not much you can do since you don't have your stuff. They never offered any compensation for our time only kept telling us thanks for being patient.

The service staff was excellent, they were always there if we needed anything and were very frinedly and attentive. We had some issues at check in and the counter staff were helpful and attentive. The room was very small but overall our stay wasn't too bad. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the menu changed daily. Our room was supposed to be a study. What they did was manage to stuff a desk and sofa bed into a regular sized room along with the king bed. When we opened the sofa bed we had less than a foot between the bed and foot of the sofa bed. This made for very crowded living conditions for our family. We had really expected a larger room for the money we paid. With other choices in the same parking lot, we would have stayed elsewhere had we known in advance. Fortunately, all we did was sleep and shower in our room. I have stayed at other Hampton Inns and this was the first time this has happened.
The December 28, 2015 rain/ice storm delayed our trip home from Jamaica. Hampton Inn had the best rate for a very last minute reservation. They accommodated the eight of us with ease. They made us feel welcome after an unfortunate travel delay. The rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is wonderful. Would definitely go back even without an unexpected delay. Thanks guys!
The room was nice, quiet and clean. It is over priced. We had to pay and additional $17 for parking overnight in an unsecured parking lot. Needless to say there are no views since it is close to MDW airport, which is why I think it is so overpriced. There was no bottled water in the room. Typically, most hotels provide 1 or 2 complementary bottled waters. I had to call the front desk three times to verify the check out time and kept getting placed on hold.
The $10/day parking and easy pick-up and drop-off to and from Midway Airport. Closeness to airport and 24/7 bus service. Nice start to our day with a hot breakfast.

The entire stay was exactly as expected, clean spacious room, wonderful room service and plenty of parking. The only problem was the empty vending machines but they sold beverages at the front desk.

Had to pay for parking when the area is not luxery or in an area that most hotels would ask their guest to pay for parking. My son was in a room that was still being renovated. There was no toilet just the sink and shower. Parking was $17 thats ridiculous.....
Good price for the room. They have a free continental breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable with nice furnishings and HBO. There is an airport shuttle, which I recommend because... They charge ALL hotel guests $17 daily to park a car. They should only charge people who park and fly. The location is near railroad tracks. The noise is not obnoxious, but noticeable.
Cheap, clean, location was perfect for this trip. No extras other than coffee in the morning which was good. No refrigator or microwave in room but have my own refrigator that we took up to room and plugged in. Staff was pleasant. To be honest we were worried from reading some of the other reviews but no problems during our stay that we were aware of. Some donuts in the morning to go with the coffee would of been nice.
The price was cheap for a last minute booking. Our room did not have a proper set of towels. When I went to the front desk they were out and said they would bring more towels but never did.
location value for the money and service for what they have described before came to Motel 6.
The entire hotel and room seemed dirty. Other oddities were no pictures on the wall, no alarm clock, and a TV from the 1990’s. Not up to brand standards in my opinion

After about 3 min I finally was able to get hot water. Staff was rude and not friendly. Sheets had stains and holes in them. Weird smell in the room. Yes this is a motel so I had low expectations but when we're sleeping on stains and holescin the sheets it becomes a bit discomforting. The hallways also smelled like cigarettes/weed
I was overcharged and the sheets were dirty. What I paid at motel 6 I paid for the ramada that was exceptionally clean and indoor pool only the Ramada was cheaper

The motel was not clean, smiles bad, the bed was dirty, no shampoo in bathroom, no iron for cloths.
The staff was very helpful and nice and the housekeeping was great also. Its just the room condidtions did not match the price it should of been lower. The rooms need to be brought up to date even though the rooms were clean. The walls you can start to see they need to be replaced the carpets needs to be replaced the sheets and covers needs to be replaced as they are stained. The furniture needs replacement badly. Even though it is motel 6 for the price they can at least charge less if they are not going to do nothing about the rooms conditions. Lastly if the air is not running the room gets a stinky smell in it.
The place smelled awful in the bedrooms, an odd lingering smell that was just in the bedrooms as well as outside in the hallways. Amenities we're not as expected either.
Location - this is the closet 2 star motel to Chicago Midway airport. For early morning departures there is a 10 minute short cut through Bedford Park. I stayed here last January through Booking.com for 46.60 plus tax. This time it was 60.00 plus tax. It is a 45 to 50 dollar value, not 60.
Perfect if you just want a clean place to sleep while visiting Chicago. Free parking, free wifi, AC, and comfortable bed. Quiet room. Probably not the best area ever but it wasn't too bad. There weren't many breakfast places around but downtown Chicago is both close by and full of them.
Very convenient to the airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. TGI Friday's right next door, so dinner was covered. My flight out was delayed at the last moment and the front desk let me back into the room after I had checked out -- sweet, Not much around it other than more hotels. Didn't offer any kind of breakfast other than pastries - so you had to travel to find breakfast.
the hotel was dirty at times, things left on the floors from people that where rude and didn't know how to throw things away. Our bathroom toilet was really gross and there were not enough garbage cans in the rooms.
It was close to where I had to work. Room was not very clean, A/C didn't work well, had to change rooms the third day, the continental breakfast was minimal.
I was hardly ever there, from late night till morning, but the continental breakfast was good, the pool would have been nice if I had time to use it. Ice on every floor would be nice, an ice bucket too.

Great staff. Clean. Gym & pool. Had some problems with televsion "buffering". I stayed here will visiting Chicago...it's a little far from downtown. The surrounding neighborhood isn't that great.

The complimentary breakfast area. Lobby has construction companies equipment in it and the door to my suite had the rubber hanging off it.
They're very rude and impolite!! kept asking when am I going to leave!. Don't know where to start : I stayed for one night only when I arrived the front desk was so not friendly and she kept blow air she asked my for my bank card and ID to verify the reservation she was very stressful and upset for some reason I felt like someone enforced her to work!! I was about to tell her it's a hotel you need to smile abd chill out dude!!! . Next day started to pack up and asked them for extra half an hour within 15 minutes they sent the house keeper saying that it's time to check out, RUDE!!!! this was my first and last time to go to this hotel.
The AC seemed to work. The room was filthy and torn apart. The handles on the dresser were falling off, the headboard of the bed was the wrong size for the mattress. We were in a nonsmoking room but there were cigarette burns everywhere: the comforter, the sheets, the pillows, the bedside table, the carpet, the bath tub.. etc.. You get two plastic cups and one tiny bar of soap. The TV was broken and sounded like aliens so we got to watch TV volume super low with the subtitles on.. They used shopping carts as luggage caddies. The staff wasn't friendly. We received the call that check out was soon and literally 30 seconds later a knock on the door with a rude woman asking "are you leaving???"
The staff was very welcoming and did a wonderful job of giving us a comfortable stay. The continental breakfast was very disappointing and limited. The hotel was also pricier than what it's worth.

Price Old dated sofas. Too much furniture on the room.
Price was great compared to staying in the city, was easy to get to the airport on the shuttle and then take the train into the city, their shuttle runs all night and day, so as long as you catch the Orange line back to the midway airport, you'll get back to the hotel no problem. A little noisy but what do you expect, next to an airport.
Good shuttle service. Comfortable beds. Close to airport. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Had to stay here in a pinch after a flight cancellation and couldn't have been more pleased.
This hotel met expectations on everything except the level of noise. With this hotel being right next to Midway airport you have to expect some noise. Interestingly the airplanes taking off and landing weren't the issue. I'm not sure if it was construction, a train, or something else but for the entire time we were at the hotel there was a periodic, very loud, metal on metal screeching sound that would last for around 5 to 10 minutes then stop. Definitely made it difficult to sleep.

hotel/rooms are clean and roomy. Where do I begin ? I stayed here for New Years while visiting my bf. My stay was great except for one night when I was awoken by yelling and crying by a grown man outside my door arguing with his gf until 3 am. I am not the type to complain, ever, but I just had enough and really needed my sleep. They escorted him out & all was well. Customer service is exceptional here and hotel is beautiful; the only reason I returned a second time. So, I re-booked at the Hyatt for my stay this time around because I felt the previous incident was something out of their hands. This time around I stayed for a total of 3 nights which consisted of my neighbors on both ends screaming and yelling , running up and down my halls until 4:30 am. Not to mention , there was a very strong marijuana smell seeping through my vents. Every time I entered my bathroom, the odor was there. I complained the night before my last stay about the smell to ensure I was not charged for anything & the supervisor advised me the next day they were escorted out. The last day of my check out , I spoke to the manager above Her & asked for a Kate checkout , which I was given. I also advised him of the horrible stay & he responded that they have received no complaints and no one was escorted off the property, and that when he saw me yesterday I looked just fine , like nothing bothered me. All in all, manager was a liar , supervisor was unprofessional, every stay guests are a complete nuisance and you will remain sleepless & staff will not acknowledge your concerns. Also, prices are outrages for location ! I paid almost $600 for 3 nights (this is a discounted price) to smell marijuana for three nights and stay wide awake until my neighbors got tired of running and yelling back and forth . My suggestion, beautiful hotel, staff is friendly but does not really care about your comfort, neighborhood is not nice at all for the price, and hotel is unbelievably noisy.
