the location is good, although it's an uphill walk there (near to bus 8 from train station). The room was good and staff helpful, although a bit "unpersonal". There are several restaurants in the vicinity, but I was tired the first night and ordered room service for the first time, in I don't know how many years. It was very good and not unreasonably expensive. Breakfast was very good.
The shower wasn't easy to understand, and why are the handles always so unergometically designed. Expected to only be used by strong, young men?! The restaurant was booked for weddings both nights and you did notice the not that sober guests. However, they were happy and once in my room I heard nothing.
Two out of three staff I talked to were very warm.
- The mattress was too hard. - There was noise from an adjoining room from quite early in the morning, and RnB music from about 9am - the sound proofing didn't seem very good. - No plug sockets near the head of the bed.
breakfast was good although service could have been better. overall location was acceptable we do not know Bristol well but seems location is central to most locations . taxi is very expensive from airport to hotel much more than Scotland for similar distance.
NOT disabled friendly TOO many changes in level (steps) bedrooms not wheelchair suitable.
Very good bed, pillows, shower and WiFi.
The cost of parking in the hotel garage and breakfast. Extortionate.
The location. The breakfast was good. There was private parking. The receptionists were friendly.
The room and bathroom were pokey and unattractive. The window was cracked. We were sent to the wrong floor. No one seemed to know where our room was located. The cleaners hogged the lift so we could not get in it, even though we had our luggage to carry. One just said that she was going to the basement - she was not carrying anything but made no effort to give paying customers priority. The keys did not work the first time - I had to walk down to get new ones. (The lift was busy again) We ran out of toilet paper as the roll was only half full and, after ringing down for more, another half roll was delivered.
