Pros: We booked late and arrived late but the owners received us very well and made us feel like "at home". The building itself is magical and very nice. Everything is renovated. If you choose to stay here then you will not be disappointed.
Cons: Everything was beyond expectation, there is nothing to complain about.

Pros: We were really lucky that we found your wonderful house. We love Malta - so different and so fascinated, but we even more we love your hospitality, charm and unique style. Thank you for suggesting amazing places in Malta that we could never explore without you. We are in each others life for a reason. Thank you. Raimonds & Andra
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The excellent level of service and hospitality from the owners who made us feel very welcome. We would definately return again one day and would be very happy to recommend it to anyone.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Palazzio 1787. Yves and Patricia are such heartwarming persons and they make the best breakfast ever. Everyday we enjoyed fresh fruits in combination with bread and cheese or salmon, yoghurt and a healthy smoothie. A wonderful start of the day. The room was beautiful and cleaner than every other place we've been to so far. The house is very historical and located in a quite village. But as there is a bus right around the corner which directly takes you to Valletta and other cities around that was not a problem at all. Actually we even liked to come back every evening as sleeping far away from the busy streets of Valletta gives you more the feeling of a vacation. All in all, we just thank you, Yves and Patricia, for your great hospitality and friendliness. Especially Yves, thank you for the evenings with your amazing Limoncello (it was the best!).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property was everything and more . Steeped in history and restored to its former glory .Yves and Patricia are fabulous hosts and were happy to show us around the property . The breakfast was superb.
Cons: We loved everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chapeau to Yves and Patricia for being great, caring hosts! The breakfast was extraordinary, a large variety of specialities, individually prepared for us. The interior design of the hotel and the rooms was elegant and tastefully selected. The property has a long standing history and was preserved and fully refurbished by the current owners. The hotel is located in a small street away from the traffic; finding a place to park the car was easy.
10.0 Excellent

5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice size, very clean, modern and stylish
Cons: Entertainment system didn't work, over head blind faulty, no full length mirror or place to dry hair. 10mins hot water only. Noisy staff in the morning. Paper thin walls. Smelled of mould/dampness. Very over priced better hotels in the area. We won't be returning
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The size and design of the rooms are impressive, they managed to keep the historical uniqueness of the building.
Cons: The cleaning of the room was not properly done and garbage was under the sofa. This was fixed by the hotel but no commercial gesture was done.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a property which has had major refurbishment in an existing old structure. The design and use of interior fit-out has been kindly treated. The attached restaurant is very good and staff are friendly and helpful
Cons: The general level is classed as 5 start but some of the room smaller bit that you would expect just do not happen. Example is no fresh fruit (actually no fruit at all) the turn down service is poor and the lack of minor treats you expect from an expensive hotel just did not happen.

Pros: Every thing
Cons: Every thing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Comfortable room with perfect bathroom, helpful staff and quite and peaceful neighbourhood. Rooftop terrace is especially precious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Senglea is the perfect destination for those who want to rest and enjoy the day intensely. snop house is situated 1minute from the waterfront, and a 5 minute walk from the ferry to Valletta. is really close to everything and has a bus to stop at the door. The decoration is simple, elegant and fancy. The suite was perfect, the bed very confortable, bathroom also very good. As for the staff, everyone is extremely professional and attentive, everyone. I have always preferred smaller hotels, where every detail is thought of and each guest is treated like the long-time relative who has not visited for a long time. Hotel snop is the personification of this comfort, I felt at home! although extremely helpful and considerate, respect privacy very much. Love it, and if i go back Malta for sure this will be my first choice to stay.
Cons: You have to go outside the hotel to smoke Seems normal in Malta, even open air spaces inside some buildings you cant smoke.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was amazing. Slept like a baby

Pros: Nice place to stay. Nice staff. Quiet place.
Park Lane Boutique Aparthotel - Qawra - Bedroom
4
9.3 Excellent (780 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The main advantage is location! 2 minutes walking to the bus station, 5 minutes walking from beach promenade (it's really good place for running in the morning, if you do this). A few good private beaches around, as well as the legendary Cafe del Mar is 10 minutes walking (amazing place for sunset). A lot of restaurants and shops around.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Located just by the bus station, excellent for travelling around Malta. Very friendly staff who were accomodating and helpful. Small (unheated) pool with lovely views
Cons: Some noise overnight from the bars beneath the hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: The people who work there were SO accommodating and helpful
Cons: There were hairs in the bathroom and just generally a lil bit dusty
9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you’re staying around Bugibba this is the place to go! Maia checked us in early and was so helpful- she gave us a map of the island and showed us the best restaurants to visit, along with ferry tours and site seeing around the island. The rooms are excellent, with a fully equipped kitchen and huge beds. We got the breakfast the first morning on the hotel but decided to go elsewhere for the rest of the trip because it was cheaper. The staff were happy to help with any problem and loved to hear about your daily adventures!
Cons: The one tiny thing that was disappointing about the place was the pool- it’s very shallow, only about the waist high. Despite this, it was an excellent way to cool down and if you wanted a swim you could walk 2 minutes to the beach!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent and really set you up for the day and the staff couldn't be more helpful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people at the front office were really great, and went to great lengths to help us. The apartment was perfect, tidy and greatly ordered. Rooms were big and roomy. Close to the central station in Buggiba.
Cons: Small elevator in the family room apartment.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, comfy bed, lovely rooftop pool area and lovely breakfast . Great location
Cons: I had a small issue with my toilet but it was fixed right away
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent and attentive. Breakfast was great and the bed super comfy. An excellent hotel in a great location. I'll be staying here again if I'm back in St. Paul's Bay.
Cons: I didn't like getting told what towel to use under which scenarios (maybe I like using a beach towel for showering? And who cares?!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extraordinarily friendly and nothing was too much trouble
Cons: Nothing
Loggia Mariposa - Naxxar - Building

9.5 Excellent (94 reviews)

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was good. Quiet and easy to go everywhere by public transportation or by car. Breakfast was very good. Fresh fruits with home made bakery and a real coffee machine! The most helpful was all the guidance provided by Peter to move around the island and go to places to visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is made to order by Peter, who also makes the most beautiful cakes. He also tries to make the ones you like too, which was great as the kids and wife loved them all. Our favourite was the the chocolate carrot cake. I loved all the different variance of cheese cakes made for me. Jozef made us feel that we had known him from many years ago and had a nice birthday surprise for my 12 year old on the day we arrived and had balloons in his bedroom, a cake and a bottle of bubbly too (non alcoholic ). Both Peter and Jozef were great hosts giving us great tips on how to best see the things we wanted and the best way to travel there too. Both Jozef and Peter had great knowledge about the Naxxar but also lots of information of Malta itself , giving great money saving tips and advise on best times to go to certain places, helping you avoid the crowds somewhat. Also if you happen to be around in the afternoon and the guys are there, you might be lucky enough to be given afternoon tea and cake. If we ever go back to Malta, we will for sure be staying at Loggia Mariposa again
Cons: We didn't like the mosquitoes, but nothing that anyone can do about that. Jozef tried his best to keep them out of our room by spraying repellents etc, but its one of those things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Naxxar is a wonderful little town in the middle of everything - couldn't choose better location as a base for our trip. Loggia Mariposa is a wonderful restored old maltese house, cozy, elegant and clean, where you will find everything you'll need. Peter and Joseph are very kind, attentive and friendly and they both helped us a lot with very good and usefull advices, making our staying even better
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Jozef was beyond welcoming and accommodating! As was Peter. The whole hotel was spotless and breakfast was excellent. Location was nice - Naxxar is a cute little town and great central home base for exploring Malta.
Cons: Parking was iffy but doable. I got rude emails from a Gladys before arriving insisting I wire transfer a deposit that she said could not be charged on my card. It costs $50 for an international wire transfer and I was not notified ahead of time that this was necessary (unless I missed it somehow), but she did not care. We did not meet her when in Naxxar, she only emailed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jozef and Peter were really helpful and gave us very useful advice on transport and places to visit. The lodge itself is a beautiful old building, the room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Naxxar is a pretty town and is on major bus routes to all parts of the island - a great place for couples.
Cons: A really great property but a bigger swimming pool would make it perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfasts each morning with the addition of homemade pastries & any eggs or bacon cooked to order too. Lovely roof terrace to relax on .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything exceeded our expectations, photos do not do it justice. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, food very good, room was very comfortable, and even took time out to offer us advice on where to go, what to see and where to eat.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had a lot of character, away from the crowds. There are good restaurants nearby as well as free parking. Breakfast was great, and Peter even made us sandwiches to take with us on the day we missed breakfast due to an early appointment. Rooms were well-appointed, and entire facility was nicely decorated. WiFi and air-con worked well.
Cons: Only minor issue was no door to bathroom, only a curtain. Not a big deal, though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peter and Joseph! The house!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, nothing too much trouble Best to be outside of main city to enjoy slower pace to your holiday Easy to get around - but car needed to see everything - parking can be a challenge but very close and safe public parking
Cons: Nothing

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The pool area was great. Seperate adults only pool and a big one for kids with their inflatables.
Cons: Not the fault of the hotel but people putting towels on loungers first thing in the morning, there was a sign saying this wasnt allowed but hotel should enforce it. Also one couple brought their baby in a nappy to adults only pool even though there was a seperate pool for kids this age.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff amazing and fantastic facilities
Cons: Food and drink a bit pricey
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff , location , facilities
Cons: The outdoor al fresco food The description on the menu did not match the food on arrival eg : coconut prawns on a bed of coleslaw turned out to be a part Asian salad Avocado prawns in Marie Rose sauce had NO Marie Rose sauce. Frozen cocktails , arrived unfrozen initially put down to sitting on the counter then changed to we don’t do frozen cocktails its an old menu These maybe minor “ niggles “ but the prices charged you’d expect to receive what is described on the menu
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Outdoor pool and Spa is great
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Hotel Location
Cons: Checkout process has been the worse I have had in my life in any of my travels. They couldn't return my pre approval amount as reservation at the checkout due to system issues. My invoice was not also provided. It was promised to be sent by email within a couple of hours. 4 days after my checkout I don't have the invoice, I don't have a copy of the preaproval has been done. The hotel is ignoring my emails and the support from Hilton can't help me. More promises and no email is received from them with the details I request.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Nothing special
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just everything
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Cons: lost a T-shirt and Staff didn't find it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 4 outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool made for a swimcation that I really enjoyed. I love Doing laps-would have liked at least one pool outdoor pool with lanes specific to working out-but the adult pool was sufficient!
Cons: Some people with kids were a little selfish to put their babies in the adult pool when there were literally 4 other outdoor pools to enjoy.

Pros: This is a gorgeous Maltese house, the place is so lovely. You can reach the suite by stairs (and enjoy the paintings in the stairway) or by using a private elevator, that give direct access to your room! The Lascaris suite is beautiful, the bedding is really good, and there is a mini bar. We also had a wonderful breakfast prepared by our hosts. Thanks to Julie, Glen and Roxy for this great stay!
Cons: The walk-in shower is nice however you have to be careful not to put water outside the shower. But this is just a really little detail, except that, everything was great.

Cons: It is little bit far from where the nightlife is but still in a very good location if you want to stay somewhere close to grand marina.

Pros: Glen and Julie are fantastic hosts and the breakfasts amazing. The rooms are extremely comfortable, stylish and catered for all our needs. The bathroom in the Pinto Suite most definitely had the wow factor as did the roof top terrace. The BnB is well situated in the beautiful three cities and only 5 minutes walk to the ferry taking you to Valletta ( which again took 5 minutes). Roxy the dog is an added bonus who greets you like a long lost friend every morning. We would highly recommend staying with Glen and Julie and we will do so again.

When we rang the hotel to check if the shuttle was maybe free, they send them around to pick us up immediately. Great service! Free parking opposite the hotel.

Cons: Indoor pool and spa was under refurbishment, so missed out. Didn't fancy travelling to another hotel to have the facilities. Hope it will be ready next time we visit.

Pros: This is a fantastic hotel, comfortable, elegant and a great place to stay while visiting Malta.

Pros: Beautiful and comfortable rooms. There is everything you need to stay (hygiene stuff included). Excellent location and terrace with fantastic view. Friendly and helpful staff. Good service. They change towels and clean the room every day.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular view from the balcony, good non touristic area of Malta. The hosts are very kind and take care of the apartments. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday.
Cons: The windows dont insulate the room at all. However, it is only a problem if you stay there in the offseason when it is colder outside in the night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: More of a residential area, nice and quiet, excellent bus and ferry service near by and lovely view of Valletta.
Cons: Think the single room is slightly over priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful position with magnificent view of Valetta, terrace with tea/coffee/fridge etc. Comfortable room with all the necessaries, including wifi and TV. Easy access to everywhere... ferries, gondolas, convenience shops and the sights etc.. Helpful and informative staff. Senglea much better to stay that over-busy Valetta... Extremely satisfying place. Sorry to leave!
Cons: Nothing!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all Sally Port Senglea has a perfect position with an unbeatable and breathtaking view of Valletta and also Fort Angelo from the lovely terrace. It's close to Gardjola Gardens, Senglea waterfront, to the bus stop and there are some small local shops and restaurants nearby too. Our room was clean and comfy, we really liked its design, we also appreciated the small kitchenette, wi-fi was running fast. The staff was friendly too, our stay here was really amazing. We will definitely choose this property again when visiting Malta :-)

Pros: The location was excellent and there were several good places to eat and drink nearby. We loved the view from the balcony and it was only a short ferry ride to Valletta

Pros: perfect location, just a short ferry or water taxi ride across to Valetta. Comfy room & wonderful roof terrace with views over the harbours. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: a minor thing is the noise the door locks make which echo but outweighed by how good everything else is.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a beautiful large room with a very comfortable bed and opening doors onto a small balcony. The views from the upstairs shared kitchen area are STUNNING. The staff where wonderful - so helpful. Loved being in Senglea the ferry home at night is lovely but not frequent

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really characterful place - go and see it to believe it!. Very comfortable rooms and bathroom, nice warm dressing gowns provided, and heating (it was cool while we were there). Great breakfasts. Fantastic hosts who go out of their way to help. Easy to get to Valletta and other places on the island via the buses.
Cons: Nothing, although for our room you had to go up and down quite a few narrowish steps which was fine for us but not if you're not so mobile.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was in a great location for getting around the island. Our room was lovely with a great roof terrace perfect for sunbathing. There was 2 lovely pools which we always had to ourselves. The breakfast was great but the best bit were our fantastic hosts, so friendly and helpful - nothing was to much, we even had a little breakfast hamper made up for us due to our very early departure!
Cons: There’s nothing to dislike.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Alex and Malcom were wonderful hosts, the property is stunning, and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: The room is situated right above the breakfast/dining area, this means that it's impossible to sleep past 8am when the breakfast starts as the noise travels right into the room. Some soundproofing on doors needed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home in their beautiful house. The same goes for the rest of the staff. Everything was extremely clean and prepared with much love and detail. Breakfast was also very good, fresh local products and nicely presented. The location is lovely, very quiet, within the old village of Naxxar, a good place if you want to eat and drink in good local restaurants without too many tourists and also it's a good spot for exploring the surroundings as it's quite central. We would definitely come back there!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hosts. Very helpful. Great breakfast. Beautiful and peaceful ambiance
Cons: Only finding a space to park a car is very difficult. So far that’s the only negative point about their place.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Such a beautiful b&b with a great location in sleepy Naxxar - where there's plenty to do - plus excellent bus services to all parts of mainland Malta! Rooms are quaint and comfy - shower is excellent - two pools means no overcrowding (in fact, we only saw one other guest the whole time). Alex and Malcolm are incredibly welcoming and will give you your own key so you can come and go as you please. Felt like home! :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An amazing historical property in the heart of Naxxar and, miraculously, one of the coolest places on a piping hot July day.
Cons: Nothing! I wished we’d booked for more time there.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Alex and Malcolm were amazing and friendly hosts. They helped us with planning our day trips, let us stay a bit longer on the last day, and helped us with transport to and from the airport. The breakfast was also really nice!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Tasty breakfast, lots of excellent travelling advise, tasteful decor, well managed. Quiet village, ideal if hiring a car. Bus service OK, but not great- it is afteral a bit 'off the beaten track'! Bonus: a free 30 mins massage. My husband wanted me to have the othehr 30 mins, so I got a professional massage by none other than 'forget me not 'Elvis'. All in all, a superb experience throughout our 4 days visit.
Cons: Always ensure one person is at the hotel for check in. After a long journey, we ended up waiting outside the door for an additional 40 minutes. There was a notice saying we could call but long queues for a SIM card at the airport and we were not prepared to risk missing our shuttle, so no way to call the owners! Owners very conscious of customer care, upgraded our room, very jovial and we'd still visit them again!

Pros: The service, the location, the 'can do' attitude of the staff, the facilities..... everything
Cons: Nothing
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The swimming pools are big and good. There are numerous sun chairs facing the ocean which is really good and relaxing. The area of the private beach that Westin has is enormous but the beach is really rocky. Breakfast is good and the service in the restaurant is good. Staff is helpful.
Cons: When we arrived & departed the hotel, no bell boy service. We have to carry our suitcases into/out of the hotel by ourselves. No staff offered any help even though they saw us carrying the luggages. On the 1st night, there were several flying insects in our room, some hide under the ceiling and some landed on the wall next to my bed. It was really scary to someone who is new to Malta like us. I've killed the insects which were just next to where I slept and hope that those on the ceiling stayed there all night. I reported this to the reception the next morning. They asked me whether they were ants and mosquitoes. What's the difference and I didn't know the answer. The reception desk said they will ask Housekeeping to spray my room thoroughly and make sure no more insects in my room. The 3rd night we saw a very big cockroach landed on the wall paper next to my son's bed. We used an hour to chase and kill the cockroach. I asked to see the General Manager of the hotel in the following morning and a Customer Service manager met me instead. He told me that this is Malta climate and I shouldn't be surprise to see these insects. He also asked me if I have brought any device to kill the insects. If I didn't have, the hotel could provide it for us. Of course they have to, how can they expect a tourist to bring these devices along. In addition, there was no ventilation in the bathroom and it was like a rainforest after shower. The worst is that the plastic bath mat looks very old and with large area of stain on it. How can the Housekeeping team put this in the bath tub for guests. Shame! I want to throw out when I saw this stained bath mat. I have taken pictures of all these awful things and showed both to the supervisor of reception desk and the Customer Service Manager. None of them asked me to send the pictures to them so that they can have a proper training of the Housekeeping team.

Pros: Excellent localization, right to the beautiful privet beach. Professional, friendly staff. Good breakfast, large, nice room. Not crowded, sunbed available for free, nearly a whole day. Very good spa.
Cons: There was a problem with a bad smell from our bathroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: It’ nice that there is different pool for 16+.
Cons: Staff forgot us everywhere. Or everything took so long time. It’s not a quality if 5 stars hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room, the location the pool area
Cons: Check in ! I request an early check in ( 1 hr before ) then i got my room 1 hr late at 4 pm . But over all its was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were impressed with the service the manager offered at The Essence Restaurant.
Cons: N/a
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the suite with own kitchen, lounge, dining area, two TVs and double balcony overlooking the beach and the pool. Staff were lovely. Beds comfy, bathroom big with large shower and double sinks. Lots of sunbeds so no early morning scramble!
Cons: The food was lovely but very expensive and the little mini market on site had the most ridiculous prices I’d ever seen. If you have a car then go out and get some supplies, stock up your fridge and have a few meals and bottles of wine/water in your suite! The pool is too small but only during school holidays I think. Next time I go, I will go outside of term time and then I think it will be amazing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I made use of the spa facilities and booked in for a massage, which was fabulous. The setting for Aglio E Olio restaurant was lovely.
Cons: Some of the waitressing staff around the beach were not as attentive as I would have expected. One was sorting out her watch for quite some time when I was stood next to her. I felt rude for asking for help.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location, friendly and accommodating staff, great pool and access to the beach
Cons: Rooms quite dated, in need of refurbishment
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, good variety and pleasant staff. The pool was excellent and outdoor dining facilities also good. The daily play time program provided for our 6 year old grand child was excellent and she really enjoyed herself with the other children.
Cons: There was an on going problem with the lifts being out of order which necessitated in my husband and I asking for assistance. This was provided by a staff member using the service lift to take us up to our room level. The Taxi service provided by the hotel was not clearly explained. The cost was higher than our taxi service in from Valletta and I assumed it was because we were travelling with our 6 year old grandchild as well as 4 adults. The vehicle provided was a white mini bus and the air-conditioning was not working effectively. The vehicle should have been clarified and we could have had the option of making our own arrangements. There was also some small daily fees on our account that were not brought to our attention at check out and only noticed after leaving. This should have been optional and our approval should have been sought prior to this inclusion so as not to have created any ill feeling.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Most of the staff are absolutely wonderful!
Cons: Housekeeping did not replenish tea and coffee facilities, however were very prompt when tea bags were requested.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Soya milk was not available for the room.

Featured amenities include limo/town car service, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location in the Medina was excellent, perfect for an evening stroll to a close by restaurant. The Michelin star restaurant in the hotel was excellent for food, service and ambiance, overlooking the adjacent town and countryside.
Cons: Everything was great except the bar. It was often not staffed or staffed by untrained people. My friend did complain and they rectified it part way through our stay, but it was not up to what I would expect for such an expensive place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heritage place, so serene, such luxury, romantic. We loved the laid back breakfasts. One place where we felt like spending time in our room was almost better than walking around and exploring the place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, the room was perfect, the views outstanding and the breakfast was delicious. Really lovely experience, would highly recommend.
Cons: The dinner menu in the upstairs restaurant was too expensive. A 3 course dinner with some wine was going to cost in excess of 70 euros per person.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: History, architecture, preserved style, quietness, elegance, neighbourhood, views.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location couldn't have been more perfect for exploring and experiencing Mdina and Rabat. The views from the room and the restaurant were stunning. We were upgraded on arrival and our suite was spacious, clean, with all room facilities and a super comfortable bed. The turn down service was much appreciated, and the staff even hung up the clothes my husband had left strewn about. The hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast was to die for. Also air conditioning!!
Cons: We didn't get any sleep the first night due to a wedding happening right outside the suite. Might not have been so bad had they not had a live band and singer, but the party was basically in our room. The morning we checked out, there was a monstrous cockroach in the bathroom and when we went to reception to hand in our key, the lady wasn't exactly friendly. Perhaps a language barrier, but there was some miscommunication about the preauthorisation process, and both my husband and I felt like she was a bit rude, which stood out because we'd had such amazing customer service from everyone else at Xara.
6.8 Good
Pros: Being an a walled city with ancient history was interesting... the restaurant food was excellent... the reception when we arrived was a great start to our stay where we were invited to have a drink while relaxing into the ambience... the service at our first breakfast... the receptionist on check out waived the fee for the hot breakfast which took too long to arrive on the second breakfast...
Cons: Lack of offer to get luggage when we arrived as cars are not allowed to park inside and have to park in public car park at a distance... the noise from the floor above during day and until around midnight which disturbed my sleep... lack of TV in bedroom... the stained tiled floor in the bathroom... the lack of service and long wait for a hot breakfast the second morning... the contrast between day one and two breakfast experiences for a five star establishment was like chalk and cheese... from my observation the training of staff is not consistent... worth that management look into it...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is simply amazing. Within the walls of Mdina, it is the perfect place to stay and explore. Mdina by night is just as good if not better and being able to walk straight back into our air conditioned room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The building is beautiful and the staff are very efficient. We weren't overly keen on the room we had been allocated and so we were given a different room by the manager. It was really beautiful. The breakfast was lovely, as was the view from the terrace. The food in the Trattoria was also delicious. I would stay here again.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: First class service. Very accommodating and polite. Wi-Fi was perfect. food was very good, setting was world beating. Major Historic site, felt lucky to stay here.
Cons: While building is classically old, some of the 1980's or 90's improvements are worn out and need to be renewed. Though a fine hotel, and I will go along with non-working things from the 1600's, the newer stuff needs to work better. No big deal, just a minor quibble.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Decor, location, suite size , comfy beds, everything! Kind and professional staff.
Cons: Swimming pool closed for event but they ve offered room with terrace and jacuzzi and a late check out instead
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible from start to finish. A class act of a location

Pros: We loved the Duncan. The owner, Michael, was so friendly and accommadating. His father, the original owner, drove as to the airport.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like about the Duncan. All was excellent with our stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Guest House was immaculate the owner Michael made us very welcome from the beginning and throughout our stay, our room was fabulous with a view right over the pretty harbour. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast room is spotless, and well organized. Walter cooked us a fresh egg each morning which was very much appreciated. Offerings include yogurt, cereal, toast, coffee, juice, some packaged sweet pastries, and a beautiful fresh fruit salad....certainly enough for breakfast. All served in a bright, clean room! The location of the Guesthouse is perfect, right in the middle of the bay, across the street from the Fish Market on Sundays. The Guesthouse restaurant is also wonderful, with lovely airy patio location beside the Church plaza, great views of the bay and all the action right across the street. We absolutely loved our stay and can't thank Walter enough for his extra special care and attention - THANK YOU! Plan on taking a water taxi to St Peter's Pool or one of the other swimming beaches, it is beautiful and very interesting. We also had a rental car and drove to the Dingle Cliffs, Blue Grotto and Mdina for a day trip from the hotel. Guesthouse is in a good location for access to the airport, pretty direct about 10-15 mins by car.
Cons: My pillow was not comfortable at all. I did not say anything but I am sure if I had the pillow would have been replaced immediately, my fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, kind and helpful staff, good location. Great value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Duncan Guesthouse is ideally located. Literally, in the city centre. There is a shop in the nearby, a great Chinese restaurant on the opposite side of the street, Duncan Restaurant in the same building and a street full of other cafes and restaurants. Couldn't be better. Room was spotless. Towels were changed every day. There are also at least two bus stops in nearby. So you can quickly get to the Valetta by bus. Owner is great, helped us with ordering a taxi and there was also no problem with earlier breakfast. He also picked us up and dropped us off to the airport. Thank you!
Cons: old bathroom

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was Medicare and the location was not ideal
Cons: The cleanliness could have been better, had to complain to management as staff would not refresh the towels and sheets. For a 4 star hotel the cleanliness of the suite was shocking to say the least.
7.5 Good
Pros: The facilities are beautiful, the pool area is great to relax. The room is also very spacious. Free transport to Valletta.
Cons: The breakfast was very weak for a 4star hotel. The AC stopped working and I reported this to the reception, the staff didn't really care.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic: it was a corner room with separate seating and sleeping areas as well as having two balconies. It was situated in a quiet block (Block 7) away from the pool area, which was a bonus, and it was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a separate bath and spacious rainfall shower. There was ample choice at breakfast and having arrived in the evening on the first day it was good to be able to partake of the dinner buffet at the hotel without having to try and find somewhere to eat. The Reception staff were most helpful in booking taxis/shuttles and answering any questions that I had.
Cons: The hotel is located in a residential area with very little around it, so if you are on a B&B rate you will need to either eat at the hotel as an extra or take a taxi to Sliema/Valletta/St Julians for dinner. I didn't expect that the pool water would be as warm as it was, and having walked into Valletta and back one day I was looking forward to a cool dip, only to find that the water was quite lukewarm!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with bright and spacious rooms. Plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day around the pools. Breakfast was great every day with plenty of choice. Staff are very attentive and we would happily stay again.
Cons: Service in the onsite bar was variable and drinks (especially soft drinks) were on the expensive side.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: I had booked a suite as this was all that was available but was in a standard double and would have expected this to cost considerably less
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable rooms. Good buffet breakfast and dinner.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We booked the family room for a couple of nights! It’s a lovely hotel with super clean rooms. Ours was like an apartment. Super comfortable beds and pillows, really good breakfast and friendly staff. The interior design is contemporary with high quality of goods.
Cons: The pool is not too deep and I didn’t really like the fact that members of staff were cleaning using hoses in front of us while we were next to them at the pool.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Our room was very big and comfortable. The hotel is close to the party central but far enough that you don't have any problems with the noise. While the hotel itself does not have a pool, the airconditioning will cool you off and the beach is 10min away by foot.
Cons: While the room and bathroom were completely remodeled and very pretty, there were some issues with the shower where the water coming from the rain shower caused it to overflow.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing with variety of options. I was offered an upgrade. The room was huge and comfortable. Hotel is 3 mins away from central bus station and 4 mins away from George bay.
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great and the reception staff were helpful.
Cons: Lots of students staying there as the English school is very close by. Quite noisy on some nights as a result of this. Lots of doors banging. The room didn't look like the picture of the room when I booked. Although still passable, it wasn't as big as expected.

Pros: +Friendly, helpful staff - exceptional team you have! +Major Bus Stop (st Gilian) is close + Good acoustic window isolation - no hear from nearby construction sites
Cons: - Room with internal door to other room - this is disqualification, especially if you have some young party people in other room. - Elevator malfunctions building is high - High price average standard - balcony: narrow like Maltese roads - 1 people could barely walk out the doors. Anyway view was to construction site - not much charming

Point De Vue The Point De Vue is located in Rabat (mdina). The hotel offers restaurant facilities. Room Facilities Point De Vue. We are sorry, but smoking is not permitted in either the bedrooms or the public areas of the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very nice and large, The staff are really lovely and pleasant. The room we had was large enough for the 4 of us with a huge bathroom. It doesn’t have any facilities like gym or pool as it’s a bed and breakfast but the location is the best in Malta as it’s right next to the medina and the area is aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast was fine especially their English breakfast. This hotel is Near lots of restaurants, a bank and the best gelato place in Malta. Very easy to get to other parts of Malta from here. There is parking at the hotel.
Cons: The only uncomfortable part was the air con was directly facing the sofa bed but not the main bed so whoever is sleeping on the sofa bed felt very cold but if we turned the air con off, the two people sleeping on the main bed couldn’t sleep from the heat so maybe this needs to be looked into (perhaps the sofa bed can be moved away from the air con). Apart from this, everything was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extremely friendly. Closest hotel to Mdina gate
Cons: Providing facilities to make coffee in room/ mini fridge would be great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was perfect. Nice room with A/C, great breakfast, perfect location, and people were so friendly! We totally recommend it!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and clean guesthouse in a mediterran style with a good restaurant downstairs where you also get 20% discount each time you get your dinner there. The host and the waiters are very friendly and the food is really delicious with quite big portions. You will get your room cleaned each day so that it is always nice to return after a long day of sightseeing.
Cons: There is a small guest station and a bar next to the guesthouse so it gets a bit more noisy during the night than it should be, however you will still sleep well in your comfortable bed! Malta is using English plugs so unless you are from England you should get an adapter before you hit the road!
7.5 Good
Pros: Strategy place near Mdina, good lacation for all trips on Malta.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was excellent. The staff were welcoming. The parking facilities were excellent.
Cons: The rooms were small. There were no lifts to access the room. Only the rooms had a bit of facelift.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice view of Mdina! Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Bugs (Ants) crawling on the walls in the apartment. The restaurant area wasn't the cleanliest, lots of flies and sticky tables.
9.3 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent

Cons: The Reception area and whole of downstairs needs refurbishment.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Old but clean hotel in great location. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.
Cons: Furniture and rooms a bit old but to be expected in an old building. Some towels could be replaced as they have seen better days but all in all building and rooms clean.

Pros: Love, love, love this hotel..... the pools, the facilities, and the staff were amazing. The air con was nice and cool which we really appreciated, and our beds were lovely and comfy. Buffet Breakfast was also very nice, with a large variety of food.
Cons: We didn’t see a hairdryer in our room, however I’m sure we would have been given one if we asked for one. The pillows were very soft but I think that’s just Europe. Just a few minor things as it’s a wonderful hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic and really helpful, they brought my two daughters cookies with their names iced on them on the first morning we were there. Later at the buffet dinner there wasn't a vegetarian main and when I enquired they said they'd cook anything I liked. So I had a lovely ravioli. Would recommend this hotel for families.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service and hotel was really nice
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The very polite helpful staff. Special mention to Matthew and the Fra Martino restaurant staff.
Cons: The executive lounge is too small and more like a cafeteria. There are 2 floors of executive rooms which this lounge has to cater for. It is impossible for one member of staff to keep all the food, drinks and glasses, cups, plates etc. It is not helped by a lot of badly behaved children.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The reception staff were terrible. I arrived late and they booked me into a room overlooking the car park. I had paid extra for a sea/pool view. It took my 3 hrs next day to sort it out. I had a note from Booing saying l had been granted a late check out. This was again a hassle they argued that it was not granted by the hotel. Got it sorted but again incompetent systems / people. The desk manager was a piece if work. Scary.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not new, but very comfortable hotel. Staying at 4th exclusive floor was very suitable. Polite and professional staff. A lot of options for dinner at the property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely sea view room with balocony, clean, etc
Cons: Some communication between staff regarding our booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the foods from hotel's restaurant were delicious, friendly and well-communicated staffs, great facilities (Gym, Spa, Sauna,...), great location with beautiful beach.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities & adjacent to the sea for swimming
Cons: Nothing really jumped out.
5.8 Okay
Pros: I think the breakfast was good, though the coffee wasn't. There were a lot of pool chairs, and some even down by the sea.
Cons: I changed my room twice. The first room didn't have hot water but they came really quickly to fix it. After it was fixed, the shower over flowed and flooded the bathroom floor. The air conditioning didn't work, and while they offered me a fan, it was still too hot. I moved rooms and the air con in the second room wasn't much better. They tried to fix it but to do so they needed to turn it off for an hour so I asked them to do it the next day. They never did and the room was hot. There were other issues too that needed attention. The staff was very polite and quick to correct but we had to be proactive. The hotel is outdated and doesn't live up to it's 4-5 star status. There aren't any waiters by the pool and the bell on the umbrellas don't work.
