Location good. Morning staff friendly.
Hostile welcome from staff. Argument about parking. Bathroom very dirty. Room not hoovered. Pub looked chaotic. Dirty plates and glasses everywhere. Tempted to drive away.
Location excellent. Quiet. Pleasant staff. Breakfast OK.
Small dingy room number 4. No toilet roll holder or brush. Bathroom shelf missing. Dead bird on the steps outside of the window. Very small car park.
Iron in room needs cleaned or replaced. Dead flies on window sill
Great for brewery tours as Greene King is right next door Pub food and beer good busy clientel Great for Bury St Edmunds centre as its a couple of hundred yards Close to Maison Blue, Bens etc
Car parking is at the back but in the one way system so you have to approach the right way. Car park is snug once parked leave keys behind the bar and the helpful staff will sort the parking out as required No air con in rooms but they did have a fan
Superb management and staff. Comforts for all in a traditional pub with rooms. Best beer in the world....Abbot Ale. Good high standard of meals and excellent breakfast. Rooms with all facilities. A very small car park but staff most helpful in moving and re-parking cars as needed. Will definitely recommend and will visit again
It was over 35 degrees but rooms were still well ventilated although a few fans in rooms and public areas for use in these extreme temperatures would be an improvement
