Pros: The studio is cozy and comfortable with a gas fireplace, a jacuzzi, and everything you would expect in a nice hotel room. It is easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and the Alaska Sealife Center, even in winter.
Cons: We never met any human staff during our weekend stay. The owner communicated effectively with notes and we met the very friendly dog twice. The driveway was icy and nothing was done to address safety.
I felt so much safer than being in a noisy motel. Bed and Breakfast just became a new way to travel. Thanks so much Deb!
Pros: Deb was the nicest hostess possible! She has a very eclectic design and you could spend the day enjoying her beautiful decorations. The fruit was so good (some of the best fruit in AK. I had a GREAT time.

Situated in Seward, this apartment is within a 15-minute walk of Waterfront Park, Seward Museum, and Caines Head State Recreation Area. Kenai Fjords National Park and Chugach Heritage Center are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: We loved the central location and beautiful views out the window! The common space was nice to have a place to read at night, and great conversation with other travelers at breakfast.
Cons: It was great!
Pros: Serivce was good as was the food
Cons: Roos were very small and seemed overpriced
Pros: It is a great B+B. The woman who runs it was very helpful and friendly. We had a last minute additional guest as my son came on the fishing trip with us. And it was no problem at all. Close to downtown. Walking distance to shops and resturants.
Cons: The only thing i didn't like was that we had to leave on our charter at 5 am, so we missed breakfast. But she has cereal, milk and other breakfast foods so we could help ourselves. Great stay.
Very friendly owner.
Pros: Character and charm
Cons: A little noise when everyone was in the common areas. Maybe some drapes would help, but they might block the beautiful view.
All of the staff were very helpful and there was not a lot they could have done to change the heat situation so I would still recommend this Inn if you are staying sometime when it won't be hot.
Pros: Wonderful staff and room was spotless.
Cons: I didn't realize how tiny the room would be. It was unseasonably hot and there was no air conditioning and the ceiling fan didn't have a high enough speed to help. We were hot all night, and the loft was really uncomfortable in the heat.
Run by a very sweet lady. Rooms are small but clean, neat and cute. She cooks a great breakfast. Great place for those who want to get away from the regular big chain hotels. I did not like packing my wife's 100 pound suitcase up those stairs but it was worth it once we got to the room. The outside of the hotel will shock you at first but everything on the inside is clean and well kept. No TV in rooms, she has a separate sitting room with TV and another sitting quite room for just reading or talking with other guest without a TV. I liked that. I did not go to Seward to watch TV.
Pros: Nice,clean,friendly close to everything.
Cons: Had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Not good for old people.
great location from free city bus. library musuem across street well worth the stop. watched cruise ship from dining room bay window
Pros: awesome breakfast
Cons: TV not comfy. watched Educational teavel videos with kids so they could absorb experience. not enough comfortable seating
Overpriced for the offering, would not stay there again or recommend to anyone.
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable, rooms very small, no place for luggage. Food service and quality poor.
This was a fun place to stay. The staff was very helpful with recommending activities that fit our needs not just the usual tourist attractions. We were glad to find the eagle's nest, and other wildlife sites. The continental breakfast was very tasty and the cooked breakfast was a good change...worth the little extra. It was nice to have access to the refrigerator and freezer.
Pros: The location was very convenient to the shops, Aquarium and restaurants in Seward. The view from the dining room was excellent of the mountains. The staff was very helpful. Everything was very comfortable.
Cons: The stairs were slightly challenging but we got used to them. The room was a little small but there was plenty of storage space under the bed.
Excellent stay by every standard. Fresh made daily complimentary breakfast, with full breakfast available for just a small cost. A very open and comfortable stay that made it feel as 'like home' as you can get on vacation. Highly recommended!
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly; some of the best hospitality I've experienced. You can may double or more for a hotel and receive less perks and accommodations then yo would here! Perfect for extended vacation visits.
Cons: The Wi-fi was rather slow for when I needed to look certain things up and there is only a TV in a common room; but unless you are looking for just an overnight stay passing through those things are not needed, Enjoy the scenic town of Seward.
Pros: The staff was awesome! The hotel seemed aged but well taken care of for the age. Everything was clean and put together. The rooms were decorated in an Alaskan theme which was perfect.
Cons: Continental breakfast a little sparse but that's what a continental breakfast is so wasn't too big of a deal! Security also a little to low for my comfort.
I'd stay here again. It was a really fun, personal experience.
Pros: This is a quaint little hotel in a quaint little town. It was very much like a bed and breakfast. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the service was friendly. Nick carried up our bags, really nice. Good breakfast. Walk to everything in Seward.
Cons: It is upstairs, and you must be quiet for the other guests. Not a party place
Built in 1918, this bed and breakfast is located in historic Seward, on the Resurrection Bay. A continental breakfast with freshly baked items is served every morning. Rooms at A Swan Nest Inn have lofts that are accessible by a ladder, as well as private bathrooms. The rooms have hand-crafted log furniture and are decorated with locally made original art. Two common areas are accessible to guests at A Swan Nest Inn. One room has a selection of games and a large TV with a DVD player. The other has a cozy wood stove and wonderful view of the bay. A Swan Nest Inn is less than a kilometer from the Alaska Sealife Center and Seward Waterfront Park. The Seward Boat Harbor is a kilometer away.
Pros: Location is excellent nr downtown Seward but also harbor. Good service, no-host check-in works well. Comfy beds, clean as a whistle. Basic but great. Mi nifridge and micro, coffee maker. Good hot water. Clean towels (located next to coin laundry too for those needing it!).
Cons: Liked it would do it again.
Enjoy your visit to Seward with a stay at Trailhead Lodging. Free perks include WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like sofa beds, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Pros: A shared kitchen, however we had it to ourselves for breakfast.
Pros: It's cozy, clean, and everything is useful; just what I expected for the price I paid. it has a little kitchen area for everyone at the site to share, which I thought was nice.
Cons: We can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. Pretty sure we and our friends downstairs could hold a coherent conversation if we tried.
Pros: Although there were no staff on site Every effort had been made to welcome us & make our stay pleasant, info, great breakfast facility, VERY clean.
Cons: Bed creaked when you turned over? Base.
I thought it would have been more professional to have typed notes.
Sea Treasures Inn is a great choice for a stay in Seward. Free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves, along with balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: Since housing is so expensive in the summer in Seward and we had 2 large families, it was great not to have to rent 4-5 hotel rooms. We were able to use 2 rooms. Nice to have a kitchen, though we didn't cook anything. It is also in a great location for stores and restaurants.
Cons: One of the twin beds in 1 room leaned down on one side and the king bed in the other room needed new box springs...it was noise to get in and out of bed.
Situated by the ocean, Sauerdough Lodging is a great choice for a stay in Seward. Guests looking for a bite to eat can check out The Sea Bean, which serves breakfast and lunch. Pros: Location was great. Staff was friendly.
Pros: Liked cleanliness of hotel
Cons: The room I obtained thru kayak had no exterior windows and was small

Cons: Rooms are old. Shower fixture puts out more of a mist than a spray and pressure is seriously lacking. Mattresses seemed old and worn and we ended up with two full beds instead of the Queen that was reserved.
Pros: Great location in Seward, nice facilities.
Cons: Outdoor entry to room.
Pros: Everyone at the hotel was beyond awesome. They went out of their way to accommodate us. There was nothing they wouldn't do for us. The rooms were nice and very clean. I am so glad we chose this hotel, it made our experience in Seward even better.
Pros: Friendly staff
Walking distance to Anchorage bus
Pros: Our room the second night was wonderful, but traffic noise was awful. Our room the 1st night was too small. No room for suitcases, bathroom are was too small and again traffic noise and 2nd floor noise was awful. Very nice having it so close to shops and some restaurants
Staff was very good. I left something in my room and they mailed it too me right after I called them. Thanks you so much.
Cons: Traffic noise and too small of a room the first night. I will make sure I request a room away from road next time.
Pros: We made last minute reservations online and when we arrived, asked for extra blankets so one of our kids could sleep on the floor. They immediately checked to see if their special room with extra twin beds was open. It was, and for the first time in our travels we were able to give each kid a bed. The place is clean, functional and conveniently located. And has a restaurant next door.
Cons: Street side rooms do get some street noise but not too much.
Pros: Walking into the lobby of the Breeze Inn, you are greeted by the clean Alaska finishes and fresh cookies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Windows that open was a pleasure to enjoy the Seward fall weather. The central location in Seward made it easy to get around town with a wide variety of food choices around the small boat habor. We would stay there again.
Cons: Firmer pillows would be a great option for some guests.
Pros: The Hotel was good nothing exceptional..
It is like a motel 6 similar atmosphere..
one thing that bugged me was that the check out is at 11 and 15 minutes till 11 got a call from the desk was a reminder that if I was not gonna stay another night I should leave the room..
I was gonna spend one more night..
but with an attitude like that decided to leave..
Cons: Thé check out was to early..
most of the places it is at 12 and sometimes other places let u stay till one if they are not full...
Not this place it's is 11 and that's it check out or pay for one more night
Cons: Room advertised as a suite with a jetted tub. The suite does not have a jetted tub.
Cons: Terrible beds that make noise and not at all comfortable. Service was OK.
Pros: Location to fishing dock. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Cons: My room was on the side next to busy hyway. No AC so had to sleep with window open (did have a fan). I found ALL Alaska room rates too much for the quality compared to lower 48.
Cons: The lady and gentleman at front desk when I checked in on July 27 were not polite. I booked a regular double room with sea-view. They changed it to disability room with mountain view before contacting me and said it's an upgrade. This room is very noisy from the traffic. Before I said anything, they were shown to be unhappy and se said it's because too busy. Is this a good reason? No sorry, impolite.
I'm really disappointed with them.
The younger lady next morning is very nice.
Situated on the bay, Breeze Inn is a great choice for a stay in Seward. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and the restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat. Rooms offer LCD TVs, refrigerators, and designer toiletries.
Pros: I loved that even though it was end of season they had an amazing cook for breakfast and one for dinner in the small quant hotel dwelling. It's fixed with all kinds of memorabilia and history of Seward, Alaska, and the hotel history it's self. Everyone was just so friendly and helpful. We had an accident and they treated us with promptness, discretion, and sensitivity. No questions, no fines, no issues and they took care of it while we were out on a daily schedule.
Cons: I only did not like that I found a used napkin between my bed sheets.
Pros: Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous both at check-in and check-out. Property accommodated us with early parking and luggage drop as we were taking a day boat tour prior to official check-in. Lobby was quaint and offered a nice place to relax. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Lock on room door was difficult to lock and the door didn't close without having to slam it shut. That said, there was very little we could say we didn't like.
Situated on the bay, Hotel Seward is a great choice for a stay in Seward. Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout or grab a bite to eat at Ms. Genes Place, which serves fusion cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms at this historic hotel offer up nice touches like iPod docks and pillowtop beds with premium linens.
Pros: The Owner was kind and friendly. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. It was the best deal in Seward
Cons: Kitchen was not at all clean.
The Alaska Sealife Center is less than a 5-minute walk from this pet-friendly inn. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and barbecue facilities are provided on site for guest use. Cable TV and a full kitchen are provided in each guest room at the Taroka Inn. A private bathroom is included. Seward Waterfront Park is a 10-minute walk from the Inn Taroka. Stoney Creek RV Park is less than a 15-minute drive away.
Pros: The location was great. Right on the free bus route. Not too far to walk to docks. Bed was comfortable but just a queen. The room had some updates and was clean. Young lady at desk was very nice, but we also had the problem of the office closing earlier than we thought. She had given us her phone number, so if needed she can be reached.
Cons: The motel is made up of 2 sections. One is the older motel court. The rooms are small, but refreshed and clean. There is a second section of upstairs/downstairs that looks like the rooms are bigger and a bit nicer. In the motel court there is no A/C but there is a heater unit that has a fan only and the front windows can be opened. We had to wait quite a time, while boat tours were booked for another party. Hotel gets a fee for taking care of bookings, so prepaid customers just have to wait.
Enjoy your visit to Seward with a stay at Murphy's Alaskan Inn. Guests will have free perks like WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
