location lack of staff - no atmosphere - falls well short of past standards
We enjoyed our stay very much. The view is wonderful. We had a good time.
location was great, staff friendly, lovely views Don't try and drive to the hotel, very narrow streets. No longer a Relais and Chateau, they need to continue to invest in the hotel
The Hotel was right in the middle of a medievil town, a superb experience. Its a pity the restaurant on site was not operating, the street leading to the hotel is extemely narrow, I would reccomend parking nearby at the Place du Chateau and walk across but well worth the effort
Good service, nice people, good food, nice ambience, good location. The drive to and from............a nightmare. The road for 200m either side is a major challenge.
The epitome of shabby chic chateaux, without being at all shabby. Delightful and helpful owners and staff, beautiful location. The room had a lovely ambience with great views over Cagnes-sur-Mer to the sea. I would have liked somewhere to sunbathe, but the two public terraces were perfect for a quiet read or drink.
great staff and good location in southern france-town is a nice quiet departure from the rest of the area
very beautifull, very kindly staff, good position and confortable.
Very charming, small and typical for France hotel. Almost no parking space
Wonderful, wonderful medieval building with the friendliest staff. It felt like home, but a fairy tale one. Expensive breakfast, parking difficulties.
the relaxing moments at the nice pool / friendly staff / free internet and free parking / good restaurant / nice rooms
Welcome from staff. Location. Outstanding food. Easy access to beach, airport and Nice/Cannes Couldn't fault a thing
superb family suite and friendly staff
Excellent option to stay in the region of Nice, for those who already own the car, the staff is very nice, hotel has good structure, comfort, cleanliness, good food
The hotel staff was very professional. The rooms were well equipped and clean.
The cook, Martin, is very good. Nice rooms around the swimmingpool. Quality of service depends on which member of staff is on duty. Service can be very slow or very good.
I adored the quiet location...lovely spot close to the coast...but tucked away and private..the staff were wonderful. The food was just gorgeous..the room was lovely opening onto the pool..loved it
The size of the room and access to swimming pool, very child friendly. The menu was not varied enough and overpriced
nice design slightly arrogant/inpersonal staff pretending to be french, but actually dutch!
I was at international miting in Nice, so I was not at hotel durin all day but in the evening it was beautiful no
Aéva is a very nice Hotel. The room are very cosy with a great view over the ocean. The staff are very nice and helpful. There where missing a mini bar.
The staff is friendly and helpfull, always smiling :) The room sea view is just amazing, you can see the sea as first thing in the morning, straight from your bed. Modern and design room, the bathroom is just great, they have room service and the restaurant prepares really nice food.10 minutes far away from the Nice airport. Everything great, we will come back for sure.
Get the rooms with the ocean view. We were right on the beach. European small rooms, but unique decor and fixtures. Highly recommend.
Clean and new hotel. Room was very nice. Hotel location good - with the sea right in front of the hotel. Free parking and Wifi. Staff competent, if a little surly.
hotel staff helpful at all times. Incorrect room given on arrival but when pointed out changed us with a smile, Breakfast too expensive but cafe nearby very good and cheap.
Very helpful staff, wonderful view from our room, ultra modern bath, free parking. Near Nice, Monaco and Cannes for day trips.
Location very good - right across the road from the beach - good terrace and extremely helpful staff. St Llorent a lively bar/restaurant area an easy walk from the hotel. Be aware, if you are booking this hotel because of it's location to Nice and think you can get there easily by Taxi because it's only 7-8 miles away you will be fleeced by taxi companies. We were quoted 100+euro's for a round trip! a 1.5 mile trip to the nearby St Llorent still cost 25 euro one way (needless to say we walked back!). Breakfast was expensive for what it was (no self service, so you get 1 croissant,1 pastry etc)
Great place to stay, rooms very comfortable and modern, superb access to the beach and all cities around Hotel offers free parking spaces, but it happend we did not have place to park our car
The room is well-equiped and clean. The decoration is also beautiful Improvements: English-speaking staff and larger parking
The availability and efficiency of the staff. The quality of the infra-structure, atmosphere of the hotel and its location. The room bathroom could be equipped with more towel hangers. During breakfast it would be best if the service staff would not start cleaning the room (washing the chairs, etc.) while people are finishing their meal. It disturbs a bit the breakfast experience.
proximity to local transportation international channels size of room was too small even for one person extremely loud at night rude employees!
We got a good deal for the 'Privileged room' and we were given an upgrade to the next level as it was out of season and they had the ability to offer it to us. Was great to have a large room for a few days. Close to the beach and loads of shopping, restaurants, cafes and the stop for the hop on hop off tour bus. They had all the flyers of tourist things at the counter. Wifi was good. No TV reception for english channels.
Near to the City, clean room Room was very smal
Great location, very close to the Messena Place and the old town. Restaurants close by. Rooms are a decent size as far as French hotels go and for once the air conditioning actually worked. Staff spoke English and were helpful. We were only at the hotel for a quick overnight stay and didn't arrive until 9:30 pm so we didnt spend a long time in the hotel. Had breakfast in a cafe in the market.
I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was very central with easy access to buses and trains.
Location was good and hotel's decor fun and kitschy. Small room.
convenient location, not too noisy
Location was excellent I wouldn't say it was 4 star. It was very basic and tatty in parts.
We were made very welcome and the Hotel was very well placed for the park and shopping. The view was hardly inspiring.
Staff is very friendly, breakfast was excellent, hotel in general (colours, furniture...) Room for breakfast is too small for so many people
Location No parking facilities offered to guests, however there is a public parking with preferred rates overnight
Historic building, beautiful lobby Rooms definitely need refurbishment
Wonderful wonderful staff and location location location. The rooms were well appointed and in a style that suited the hotel. The balcony was a great place to get a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were larger then most European hotel rooms and air conditioned which made it very comfortable in the August heat. The public areas and dining rooms were very comfortable and charming. Good business center with easy access. The carpet in the halls made it hard to move luggage around and did not fit the period and style of the hotel. Some of the art didn't suit the hotel ambiance. The carpet in our room was very worn and old. The bathroom had chipped sharp tiles and had not been updated which was a little disappointing for the price point. We were also disappointed that no one informed of the beach facilities available.
Very helpful staff; they even said "Have a nice stay" in my language that was amazing! Excellent localtion; place full of arts. You have a feeling that you stay in a museum but you really like it! Just spledid! Nothing, just perfect place.
the interior of the hotel is exelent, very historical! The restoran is also very doog! Service of the reception and also reception manager was full boor. We planed to stay 21 day- and changed the hotel to another one on the 2 day of our stay!!!
Perfect location, nice sea views, really interesting interiors. Some service points, at the reseption and consierge points.
Good taste and comfort all over + restaurant Chatecler - the best I ever experienced food/wines and ambiance. Nope.
The ambiance was nice- classic old style .The rooms were big and the view spectacular. Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub. This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also, our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim. All in all,This hotel needs revamping. On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice. The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet, which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also, after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.
Bad brekfast? bad plage, bad service, wery high preis - but only in this year
Large spacious room, robes, slippers, fabulous bath There was no blackout curtain... Luckily I brought an eye mask!
convenience to activities and shopping Bedroom carpets not properly hoovered, air con.not perceptily effective.
Friendliness and courtesy of staff None
Location close to the sea front The Pool was very small and the sunning area was very small and could only take a small number of sunbathers - we had to instead use the private beach which cost 34 Euros
Wonderful hotel. Excellent quality and service. Centrally located.
The majority of your staff could speak english very well. and they were always very friendly and professional particularily Olivier the concierge
our room was facing the mediterrania, so beautiful. it is so close to restaurants in town and shopping.loved going to the casino after dinner. it was so clean and spacious (our room).
staff, service, breakfast, location - excellent, by the sea, good shopping, easy to get to railway station, old city, shopping streets by walk
It was right on the beach front and a short walk to the two tour buses for Nice. The staff was very friendly, spoke many languages besides French, room service was excellent and very pleasant. No
Over all a great experience since arrival, very good complementary high speed wireless internet , great breakfast and wonderful bath and shower along with quality interior, worth every cent.
Firstly the location was fantastic, 10mins from the airport and 10 min walk from the old town. Our room was beautiful and big with a big balcony over looking the sea. Could'nt fault it.
small bathroom without practical furniture!
Overall style of the hotel and its superb location No parking - in a very busy and complex town
The hotel is in a superb position on the seafront, the staff are extremely courteous and efficient. Furnished very well in a beautiful French style and very clean.
I like the location the staff very not helpful at all ,had to ask 5 times at breakfast for hot water in order to have tea
The hotel staff were very nice and provided lots of advice on how to move around, what to visit etc. Room was very clean. There is no carpet and it is all white tile which made it look very bright and clean. The sea view and sunrise in the morning is worth every penny spent. Compared to many of the hotels we visited in France this was the best overall experience.
Location The noise from the road in a sea view room The breakfast far too expensive
Renovated rooms on the 5th floor are fabulous, soundproofing is great. Location is excellent, staff is well trained and friendly.
Staff were friendly, the room was spacious and the location was perfect.
Staff was really friendly
Staff most helpful
Nice place, nice staff
Nice adjacent restaurant. Clean room with an bit odd, but original, design. Clearly visible that the hotel was renovated last year. Noise level in the room was a bit high due to the busy road outside.
Very accomodating, not too big and felt personal. The service is exceptional and the spa is a must-do.
The Incredible architecture, fantastic staff and superb rooms.
You can hear everything in the corridor. not good service at all. horrible breakfast
the roses all around the place no service after 12 a.m. :(
The hotel seems over-rated. It gives you the feeling of being old or overused or at least not well taken care of. Beyond the intention of design...some of the fittings seem...cheap... Plus, the idea of having the bathtub in the room could be special, but it is not practical. The lights are also not thought in a practical way...
Beautiful hotel, good location, very friendly and efficient staff. The hydrotherapy pool is lovely
Beautiful design, good location for shopping The air conditioner didn't work well, it was very hot when we arrived at evening time. I called the reception two times, they promised to come and do something but they didn't, so we suffered the very hot room even in autumn time, +17 degree outside. They only fix it in the next morning.
Food and Hotel were gorgeous. WiFi 7E for 30 mins in reception! No WiFi in bedrooms. Should be free in bedrooms.
great hotel ,great design , nothing
Great location. Friendly staff. great room. All extars very expensive - eg breakfast or to have a drink in the bar (22 euros for one cognac !)
the room had a sea view and it was very big and comfort non
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was as advertised very comfortable and spacious with a beautiful view we will definately go back there.
simplicity, friendly look, breakfast in room at the terrace not really
Clean bright room, good view of sea front.Well soundproofed from noise of traffic.Good breakfast served in room.Comfortable bed.Car park.Fridge and safe in room No tea or coffee making facilities in room
modern, clean and centrally situated .
We found the hotel pleasant and ideal for all amenities and travel on the Cote d Azur.
Friendly and helpful staff
Very accurate representation online. Convenient location across from the beach and near shops and restaurants. Very lovely staff, all of them! Would've liked a beach view, but the room was good sized and CLEAN. The mini-fridge and daily bottles of water were greatly appreciated! Breakfast every morning was good and excellently priced. No complaints on my end though my husband would've liked meat, ha!
very helpful and friendly staff
Location is terrific. Staff helpful. Value for money. Restaurant downstairs is great.
The room itself was comfortable with nice linen, proximity to restaurants was also good. The wi-fi was working only downstairs and not in rooms. The airconditioning was broken, staff when aproached said they know but did nothing about it at all as if thats the way it is so deal with it-in description of hotel when booking was said that hotel has airco so I was expecting it to work. whats more, the previous guest took out the tv and cable from the wall - obviously braking the thing- staff when aproached again said they know!!! Absolutely ridiculous. and the restaurant had no choice of any salads whatsoever-just meats and fish.
The staff were quite warm & friendly. Room 3 was beautiful. Firstly, the breakfast was very very disappointing despite that it was late. I was given croissants and orange juice which was served in a small glass. I had to request for more each time i downed it. There should have been a jugful of juice on my table for me to serve myself for 115 Euros! Secondly, the TV did not come on throughout my 1night. Tried all the tricks the power button, remote, etc all to no avail! There's no phonebox in the room to call the reception and I was too tired to go down the narrow spiral stairs to get help.
Good, relatively inexpensive rooms in a charming medieval village. Clean and a good choice if you don't mind that that at least some rooms must be reached by steep staircase with no lift. Rooms were quite comfortable and clean. A nice, continental breakfast is served in the restaurant. We very much liked this hotel and the location, but this is not a typical "hotel" with lobby and someone available at all times. When restaurant is closed, guests enter through an ally in the back using a key code. Its a great place to stay as long as you don't mind something a bit different.
The staff and continental breakfast and the setting. The room cleanliness left a little to be desired (i.e. very dusty areas like the bathroom vents) and the absence of a bidet.
Location of the hotel at the top of the village in the pedestrianised square was excellent . Terrific views over the countryside and within walking distance of numerous restaurants. The local free shuttle bus was most useful running every 15 minutes.
Haut de Cagnes is a delightful hilltop village with winding streets, charming restaurants and stunning views. The hotel is situated in the central square - I imagine it could get a little noisy in the high season. The rooms are chic and elegant with nice little touches - upmarket toiletries, cd player...There is no lift so people with heavy luggage on the top floor might find it a little inconvenient. The staff were super friendly and made it feel more like home than a hotel, and the food was excellent. Highly recommended. Finding your way from Cagnes sur Mer can be a trial! I arrived at the main station and trekked backwards and forwards before finding the free shuttle bus that takes people up to Haut Cagnes. For info: it's about a ten minute walk from the train station and leaves from the Station Centrale bus station.
Great location next to a Boules Court that leads to some interesting people watching in the evening. the hotel itself is small amd pretty basic but has a very helpful and cheerful staff. Stairs to room are very small but not unexpected for a building of thid age.
The location was fabulous. The hotel is right in the middle of the town "square" so to speak so you will feel like you are a part of the village life. Our room was clean and charming with a very comfortable bed. The bathrooms are modern. The view from our 2nd floor room was amazing! The staff was wonderful. They were helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here and eating at the restaurant. We had a delicious meal that was fresh and imaginative. The chef is from Mauritius and specializes in seafood. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!
The staff were very welcoming & courteous. The room was clean, modern & had great facilities (incl. excellent air con). Also great location for beach.
The staff is very kind and pleasant. The rooms nicely furnished and clean. There was a problem with the room, a moldy smell was coming from the air conditioning vent. We asked for another room, but it was high season so the hotel was booked. After two nights we were moved to the adjacent Aeva hotel owned by the same owner.
Generally good hotel, clean and modern decor Reception could not put an external call through to my room...
Big room with cooking facilities, quiet setting
We requested a superior/ suite, and rec'd one, 1 floor up from ground, with a Sea View, room #21. This room had one longish/narrow side balcony, with small table and 2 chairs, reached by 2 sliding doors - off both the living and bedroom areas. Living area also had 3 large front facing windows which opened. Clean, comfortable, AC,little frig, microwave, pot boiler, dishes. Nice decor, couch. Our living area was missing a lamp/lighting of any kind, and light over closet in living area was also out. (Note, this was not reported by us until check out) Also, lovely drapes were a problem in bedroom area, as it was impossible to cross between the sliding door and bed without getting tangled up in them. No elevator, narrow stairs without railings could/would be problem for those traveling with small children/large- heavy luggage/ or disabilities. Also, trendy round window in shower area has clear glass, not fogged. Closely facing an apartment building across the street, this ''bothered'' me enough to through a towel over it.
The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly.when we complained about lack of coat hangers and a mirror when we returned they had been provided. The facilities for cooking are too basic. There is nowhere to prepare food or eat it. The wardrobe and clothes storage facilities are not large enough. The hotel does not make the best use of its location or facilities. Information provided in room poor.
The hotel is really well situated, very close to the beach, and in a very charming small city. Rooms very modern and clean. Kitchenette is practical. We had a very nice small terrace with sea view. Avea Hotel (first building on the main street) and Appart'e Hotel (just behind Avea) belong to same owner. Avea Hotel has a nice terrace restaurant and bar. Our room was quiet small, and the wardrobe really tiny (kitchenette was bigger than the wardrobe!). No elevator so we had to carry our luggage from the very narrow stairs. The breakfast was good but everything was sweet, a piece of cheese or ham would not hurt.
The balcony, the location, the nice people, the restaurant The bathroom, which was falling apart with defect shower door and clogged drain
room, staff, ease of travel, walk along beach, travel on train to Monaco/Monte Carlo, easy access to airport, lovely meal and drink at hotel restaurant, very good slice of real french life at the town and market, great walk to old town and fantastic views from the top, delicious pizza and super wine No place to put soap in the shower if you can call that a problem!
Comfortable, friendly,family run hotel None
We had the superior room for 7 nights and it was a comfortable staying. The room and the toilet were comfortable, our room had also a nice terrasse (don't expect much from the view). The hotel has a parking, which is a good point even though in the nearby of the hotel parking it is often available. The staff is very kind and cooperative. This is a very good location if you're looking for a good quality/price ratio but don't expect a luxury location. The rooms don't have refrigerator so if you want water you need to ask the reception in advance. We wouldn't reccomend breakfast as it is a bit expensive and in the nearby of the hotel there are a lot of good bar and patisserie. Though the hotel is not far from the seaside still it is not facing the sea and I don't think there's any chance you'll be able to watch the sea from any of the hotel's room.
Great hotel and nice host!
personal attention given by the hotel owners themselves, felt very safe.
Free Wi fi
The comfortable bed and size of the balcony The bath was small
Great staff, very helpful. Good location, easy to access town and neighbouring restaurants. Air conditioning great, carpark. None really
The location is very near to the Cagne Sur Mer train station. There is free wifi in the room which is convenient. The facility is poor. The bath room doesn't have a shower curtain, and we couldn't find a hair dryer there, so I have to sleep with my hair wet. And the staff are friendly but don't speak English.
Very quiet - good bedding - nice staff - excellent location - air conditionning.
WE were only there over night but it was very comfortable room, good views from balcony in the morning and the owners were very helpful
The staff was polite, funny and spoke perfect English. The manager worked like crazy to help out at the breakfast. We were impressed. The rooms! They're fine but there was absolutely no where to put anything. Our room had one lawn chair. It was weird. It all feels a little too Miami Vice with the colors. Felt slightly Miami-ish/Golden Girls. Bottom floor was noisy with window open.
The design, landscape and setting of Le Mas De Pierre is definitely beautiful. The staff are very professional and diligent. The restaurant is very high quality and a great dining experience.
The hotel is beautiful, the staff incredibly attentive, courteous and helpful. We were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I can remember having. The only small complaint is that the room had shutters, but the bathroom windows didn't, and the door between the bathroom and bedroom was glass fronted, so it got very light in the room in the early morning. The amazing view from the balcony made up for that though!
Nice poolarea. Beutiful surroundings. Good brekfast. Not a familyplace. Very basic gym.
Luxury hotel with all facilities. Easy to reach, excellent central location. Beautiful herb and vegetable gardens. Hotel staff is not up to the level of the facilities. We were greeted in English, but the girl concerned could not answer any questions in that language. Upon arrival we were told that we could not have dinner in the hotel restaurant because it was fully booked; looking cross and disappointed for a few minutes resulted in a magic cancellation out of thin air, so that we could have dinner after all. Having told the head waiter at the start of dinner that one of us was a vegetarian, we had nevertheless meat or fish dishes brought to our table five times. As a whole, the hotel and restaurant are overpriced.
Staffs are all very kind. Good location to the old town. Tasty foods. Nice room. Nothing.
Beautiful hotel great location lovely rooms variable service, seemed short of staff, on night we arrived took 30 mins to get drink in bar and no luggage porter. One day room not cleaned until 2 30 when we wanted to get back in it and then no towels left, no shower cap for 5 days
excellent venue. we enjoyed our stay.
Serene place, comfortable rooms. The hotel is near a train track. You can hear the trains go by. The best rooms are away from the street and the train tracks.
The style and unhurried existence in such a beautifully appointed hotel with such excellent food and attention. Well there are two things. The "piped" music all day every day is irritating and not at all what you would expect. Gentle, varied classical would make a great improvement. Secondly, when we checked in at 2pm there was a dirty breakast tray outside out room which was still there the next morning. That is just not good enough.
Hotel is spacious and peaceful, a perfect place to relax! Staff speaks good english and very helpful! Room (in particular the bathroom) needs a bit of updating, wall in the bathroom has mould and shower door can't be closed properly.
An excellent location and very helpful staff - they contacted a local museum for us to find out if it was open on a Public Holiday (it wasn't!) The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. It looked good but all the breads were very dry and chewy, the fruit didn't taste fresh and tea needs to be made with boiling water, not from a pot of warm water brought to the table.
Very convenient location. Room was spacious. Staff were good humoured and helpful. Bed was super comfy!
good staff bedroom quite dark on second floor
excellent situation for beach and right on promenade. service was good, friendly staff.
Excellent location, friendly&helpful staff. -
Friendliness of staff. Reccomendations for excellent local restaurants UnInformed of Sarcozie's visit & therefore inability to get in or out of hotel
Seaview rooms are great, exactly in front of the sea and with a modern furniture.
location was wonderful, just across the street from the beach and only a couple of blocks from the old town
Location, location, location Clear specification of parking on web site
Nice and clean rooms, close to most Nice amenities, 2 car rentals in the same building (plus casino and police! dept) Common area is very small and required slight renovation, personnel could be more friendly
The hotel was very central and most of the staff were excellent. One guy was very rude. We only had one key for a shared room.Could not access the iron in evening before dinner and the receptionist did not do his best for us to get it. he was very abrupt saying they did not have one.The hairdryer was antiquated.very old and useless.need replacing.
the ubication was excellent, the hotel is modern and the personal was very nice
Super helpful staff
staff was friendly no maintenance in the evening.
The hotel is very well located Staff at the reception could have been more helpful
upon checking in we reported the bed linen being dirty, it was noted and told it can only be tended to the next day, the next day the roomstaff still did not change it. I certainly won't stay at this hotel neither recomend it
The location to the shopping district. I think the decor and carpeting could be updated.
best price in offpeak season.
the friendlyness of the staff at the reception desk The rooms were not cleaned adequately every day, sheets were not changed and soap was not restocked every day. Also, internet access was a rip off pricewise.
Great location - quite close to train station. Clean hotel and had a room with a balcony overlooking Rue Jean Medicin. Friendly staff. Nothing in particular.
Very friendly helpfull staff
Interior and seaview, helpful receptionist Poor breakfast, leaking ceiling
A spacious bedroom & bathroom A little strange there was not shower curtain or door in the bathroom
The friendly and helpful staff and the fact that it was so near to the bay No
the location was ideal, the hotel very comfortable. In short, we were very satisfied.
Across the street from the beach, fairly good location with free internet. Excellent refurbished bathrooms. Staff was very friendly, particularly the bellman. Pictures on the hotel site do not match rthe ooms - stained rugs, old looking furniture, very hard beds and rough linens do make it a newly renovated room except for the wonderful bathrooms. However the size was perfect for two people and the rooms were clean.
nice view, good breakfast and restaurant
Fabulous location and views, excellent access to old city
close proximity of sea and shops/restaurants. grandeur of a hotel with history and tradition.
It was right on the Esplanade D'Anglaise and very well located for everything.
Excellent location for shops and beach. Very nice hotel. Room not quite matching external areas of hotel. Overall, very nice hotel. Rooftop restaurant/bar/seating area impressive. Room very average.
we were given room 401. We liked it because it was a renovated room with a view of the sea. The bed was very good. Towels were good and the supplies (soap, shower cap, body cream etc...) in the toilet were good.
What I liked most about the hotel is that it is very central. You are near the sea and shopping and restaurants are also very close. Probably coming from a country that has a "smoking ban" I felt that the smell in the corridors was quite overpowering, and this was made worse by the fact that air freshner's were used. I feel the hotel needs some freshening up. Breakfast also was delivered incorrectly to us on our first morning. We did not get what we ordered and it was cold.
Location Everything else. Room to small old dirty, poor breakfast, service. My Deluxe room was much small than my friend's superior ?
location excellent, quiet, very good maid service, plenty of towels the tv selection is not for english speakers, the shower did not have hot water all the time and hard to control, bathroom small for so called luxury hotel, no coffee or tea with room, no couch in room, staff was aloof
Location Poor view from room. No coffee or tea making acilities in the room.
location, price and atractivness I does not have a pool and the room was small.
Location Room size
The location, and room size. The hotel was very clean. We would have liked 2 chairs in the room. The bar area was basic and lack atmospere, it did not open until 6pm. The roof terrace was closed the whole time we were there.
Location Staff not very helpful. Very slow to deal with guests at reception
Excellent service and great restaurant! The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. A wonderful experience.
It was excellent. Courteous and friendly staff all of them are fluent in English. Everywhere in the hotel is highly decorative. Service snack and drink for guests in the lobby. Excellent dinner and breakfast. The key for room was old fasioned and it was always difficulty to open the door.
People at reception desk restaurant, bed(matress), access
We enjoyed the trranquility of the setting in a medieval village. Food was excellent but expensive. Would recommend a stay for that special occasion.
The attention to detail was excellent and the staff made us feel very special. Food was first class. A shame that we could not have dinner in the garden restaurant as the temperature was only slightly too cool. Would heaters be an option?
Front of house staff, decor and suite size. Expensive and repetitive menu, no outlook on village side, uncomfortable beds, village is major tourist destination!
