Room was excellent, staff were friendly.
We had booked this hotel as a surprise weekend for a friends birthday. The accommodation & facilities were lovely and the staff all very polite and helpful. We chose the hotel for its proximity to Ascot, for our day at the races and the staff arranged to keep our picnic lunch in cold store until we needed it the following day.We had a very enjoyable stay.
Pleasant garden and chairs. Convenient location. Confusion regarding our room no.when checking in. A long wait to be seated for breakfast. No self service breakfast first 2 days and very small portions of scrambled eggs and toast. One butter for a table of 4 people!!
Prompt room service and breakfast allowing for an early departure. Professional but friendly staff. Immaculate room. No
almost everything bar staff slow in seving
This hotel was excellent in every way; it always is. None
The staff were very freindly with us and our daughter. Food was excellent
The quietness and privacy. The building and location were also great.
Only stayed one night and arrived late so didn't get to experience all the hotel had to offer. It is set in a nice location with nice grounds and nice traditional style building, the room was clean and had all standard facilities and had everything I needed. I didn't actually get a chance to use it, but the spa facilties and treatments looked good. Was slightly disappointed with the service at breakfast. Food was fine but the service was a bit slow as I had to ask several times for my coffee and only received it towards the end of the breakfast. This was not a major issue and may have just been due to it being a busy time
Breakfast was nice and plentiful Gym is more than ample Staff were helpful when i asked for local knowledge Location was picturesque and convenient Had to go from room to Bar during room service as i was not able to put the cost on the room and my details had not been taken nor requested on check in. Radiator noise kept me awake even when i switched off the heating, the flowing water through the system was a continual irritant.
Spa was lovely & the staff very helpful I have stayed before and had this same problem. The breakfast staff both times were unhelpful & quite surly, we had to wait about 20-30mins to order our coffee & breakfast & that was only after i kept asking the staff. There was a few if us & we seemed to be ignored. The last time we stayed the same thing happened & it spoilt the weekend as it is the last memory before you check out
Location. No better, and in some respects less good, than a Travelodge at more money. Characterless room, small bathroom with a horrible shower curtain - the type that tends to gravitate towards you when showering. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, made worse because I did not receive my early morning call making me 40 mins behind schedule.
Staff were able to provide a room despite having no record of my booking on their computer. Have to walk outside in the cold around the building to the front from the accommodation for breakfast past the scruffy back doors to the kitchen.
We had a lovely stay at the Ely Hotel. The staff were very nice. The room was very clean with lots of coffee, tea etc.Breakfast was very nice. There was a lot of choice on offer. We will stay at the Ely Hotel again. The restaurant is very good. Bed a bit lumpy.
The accommodation was superb and the staff very friendly and helpful
Location for where we needed to be The food was very poor standard and we felt the room and hotel needed some upgrading
comfortable room, good food in the bar, convenient stop over for our trip up the motorway from Somerset
It was a lovely hotel, breakfast was good and fresh, restuarant was lovely
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy Nothing
the helpfull staff, the room being clean always looks nice. But best was peace & quiet Cannot think of anything
The location was just what we needed to visit family, it was comfortable and clean Restaurant staff were very lax at keeping the buffet topped up and the Sunday carvery was the same, no vegetables for the carvery but plenty for the normal menu. Very poor.
location location location for my HQ office
What a fantastic hotel. Service was brilliant. Check in available at 10.30am. Taxi booked prior to arrival and easy check - out. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The nightclub was very lively and busy. Room was spacious and comfortable. L'occitane toiletries too! Overall a pleasant stay.
The reception staff were very helpful and gave some useful advice The accomodation block was separate from the main hotel building
Clean, comfortable accomodation and everything works
The hotel grounds were beautiful, and the staff were very professional, the room were well prepared and clean, and the brunch had fantastic choice. We will be staying again, as this was the perfect weekend getaway for us. The restaurant menu was very limited, a drinks vending machine in the accomodation block would have been nice, considering the distance to the bar and restaurant.
Hadn't appreciated how big the site was prior to arriving - type of establishment could have been clearer
Not getting breakfast on first day, staff on duty did not know what they were doing, if I had only stayed one night it would have left a very bad impression.
The location, The easiness to reach London by car, Parking, Proper rooms and facilities The room we were in was not sound proof
The photos did not give an accurate representation of the hotel, unfortunately I was very disappointed, the accommodation looked and felt like halls of residence with very dated communal decor, although the room itself was clean. The price seemed to be on offer - discounted from £129 to £59, and yet this is the price offered by the hotel directly. This created the illusion of a luxurious hotel, which is simply not the case. Very disappointing.
It was very clean and comfortable. And it looked and felt very professional. There was no available information at all on surrounding activities or places, such as nearby restaurants or shops.
The grounds of the hotel and the location The accomodation felt like student accomodation as the venue is a government training school, also the maid sevice did not attend to the room on one day of the stay.
It was convenient for Ascot races The room was not very clean, there was a dirty wine glass left in the room and the bed looked like it had already been slept in.
As I have worked for hilton I have stayed in many around the country and I would have to say bracknell is 1 of the best. Very modern, loveley rooms and the staff were superb
well organised get ride of the smoking bedrooms... how you can still have them I dont know by law....
The reception area is attractive, it's a pity the rooms do not reflect this. The room was very shabby especially the bathroom and in comparison to a Premier Inn which is much cheaper the rooms are cramped. The breakfast area on Sunday morning was manic and not an enjoyable experience with what seemed like hundreds of pre school children. It would be nice if you had a separate family area so couples can enjoy a quiter and more peaceful experience. I was not impressed with the charity donation of £1 being taken automatically without reference and the cost of two very expensive hot chocolates! £4.30 each, most hotels have this as standard in the room.
The breakfast was excellent - the room was good The bed was very uncomfortable
That is was close to where i was working Very poor value for money the hotel is very tired and rubish food!
The roomwas nice, and the bed comfey my booking was on under my guests name, and the receptionist wanted to send me to wokingham........i found the experience embbarrising
very little shower intermittent, like something from the 1950s. Smelly room. Poor waiting time to be served in restaurant...Shocking stay
Terrible traffic noise which made it hard to go to sleep and woke me up around 6am
Good room, breakfast was excellent Slightly noisy at night
A very good Hotel, and the staff were excellent. Nothing important, only a cracked sink in the shower room, but you expect one or two faults.
Fabulous Spa - possibly the best I have ever visited.
We really enjoyed the relaxed feel of the hotel. The service in the restaurant was average as were the accompaniments to the meal.
Always a pleasure to visit Pennyhill. Beautiful bathroom & bedroom. no sewing kit in room. Overpriced food that was very oily. They did charge for the portion that was returned.
The staff were excellent - we were attending a wedding and that was perfect. No air conditioning - bath plug did not fit plughole, shower very difficult to use room extremely dated - got the impression that we were allocated one of the poorest quality rooms.
The traditional room was still of a good size and even though most rooms were booked the spa was not crowded at all...most relaxing and able to truly chill out with partner. The price of treatments and food in the brasserie is quite expensive, be prepared to splash out in this luxury hotel!
Meal in the brasserie was excellent The noise from the room above ours was intollerable. We could here them walking up and down the room and flushing their toilet. We were kept awake until 3am
It has a calmness seldom found in hotels today
spa area & availability of treatments hotel staff were in the main unfriendly particularly at the reception desk. I am glad i didnt not pay full price.
food excellant bedroom first class comfort, could not fault any of the staff all most helpful.
Excellent Hotel Brasserie service was a bit lacking as we had to ask 3 times for our wine and it arrive after our starter.
Room excellent very comfortable, generally all necessary facilities were available ie access to the internet was very uesful, the staff were helpful and friendly nothing too was much trouble. I thought that the breakfast charge was excessive and not necessary taking into concideration the cost of the room.
The foyer and sky bar is lovely Reception staff were not friendly and considering the hotel didn't seem busy I was disappointed that I was given a small first floor room with a road view. Puzzled as to why the entrance is so far from the car park when there is another entrance much closer that is closed. I live locally to this hotel and frequent the sky bar often which I will continue to do and I definitely recommend a visit.. .. to the bar only!
Nothing was too much trouble an enjoyable stay. Its expensive
The Aviator hotel is inspiring! Their attention to detail is a breath of fresh air. The cudstomer service is proffesional and personal!
Excellent hotel, a hidden gem...
The hotel is extremely stylish and plush. We stayed in a standard room, but it was plenty big enough and beautifully furnished. The restaurant food was excellent, and the staff were obliging when we asked for a dish that did not appear on that day's menu. I think the bathroom lighting could have been a bit better.
Just everything. Staff are extrememly friendly with everything you need at the hotel.
Excellent. Fantastic design, in particular the lobby area which is stunning. No swimming pool or Sp
The view and the proximity to Sandhurst. Staff were pleasant. No working lights in bedroom. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling, Nets at windows wer torn and dirty. Kitchen locked and person with keys not in hotel therefore NO afternoon tea. Cooked breakfast was cold!
we were actualy placed in the continental hotel
Staff, particularly in bar and restaurant very friendly. Room decor was tatty particularly in the bathroom. The corridors smelled as is the carpet was damp. Failed to deliver morning newspaper.
A very pleasent stay, evrything was just right
I have stayed here on a number of ocassions its quiet and peacefull and a great breakfast, also good parking. Nothing
Food was poor
This hotel seems to be neglected, minimum staff, no hot water; the restaurant is very poor the service is none existent 4 people including me walked out, no hot food or fruit juice left at 0740 for breakfast. The duvet cover had a rip in it and whilst it had been laundered it was stained. This hotel is worse than poor. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Internet access, food State of repair of room 119. Paint peeling off wall, noisey expel air fan in bathroom
Views from the room were stunning and the room was well apointed. The reception area and resturant were impressive and the staff were very helpful.
lake view should run a sunday brunch
Nothing Everything as it was extremely tatty, grubby and very poor value
it was comfortable and convenient bar area was old fashioned and out dated and the outside area around the hotel would benifit by someone using a sweeping brush
The staff were excellent and helpful. The rooms were clean and teh Gym and health facilities were excellent The entire complex around the Lake looked rather "tired" and unkempt in places. More regular grounds and property maintenance would work wonders.
Staff good No access for myself through firedoor(no bell)my daughter had to go upstairs I had to wait downstairs for someone to open it,not good in this weather, when you already are disabled
The shower - it is fixed over the bath and you have to stand under it to turn it on and either freeze or burn pending getting the temperature right
The staff were not particulrly helpful when we were looking for something to eat, and in the end needed to find a restaurant outside the hotel.
Friendly staff at check-in Breakfest, magnetron toast...
We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent, tasty and well presented . The staff were courteous and quietly always in attendance. No really bad points except perhaps the sound proofing It was really annoying to be awakened early in the morning by the sound of other guests slamming their doors.
large bed good view of Lake reception very friendly easy parking non existent staff at breakfast, and when they turned up they were on the surly side, absolutely pants disco on site,do not go there.the price of the hotel was on the stiff side which is underpinned by the lack of anybody there.
No en suite
Nothing I paid for the room but felt unable to stay. The room was a twin and was very cramped. The window was single glazed on a busy road which was very noisy. The curtains were virtually transparent and the room was nowhere near dark. The second bed was a camp bed. The bathroom was to be shared with other rooms.
Friendly owners, very good breakfast, excellent value for money Needs signposting better from the road, not the easiest place to find
Friendly & helpful Liked the breakfast coffee Bed comfortable It was a warm night and I would have liked to have opened the window but the room overlooked a busy and noisy road.
Very good family run hotel, its a pity the rooms were being redecorated but enjoyed the stay None
There are no good points Not alowed to book in utill 5pm /no onsuite facilities /toilet and bathroon shared with hotel manager and family/ no working television/ animals (ie)Two South african Rodents/ Lizards and Crickets in glass cabinets which my wife hates. The crickets made their noise all night
Hostess was friendly, even when I was a bit late for check-in! The premises was attractive and clean (v/ nice garden), as was the room I stayed in. The bathroom was very clean and well-maintained. It was very quiet in my room and the surrounding area. I needed to store some food in the refrigerator and was easily accommodated. The bed in my room (Yellow Room) was uncomfortable. I am a small person (54kilos) and I could still feel the springs beneath me. It was a bit like sleeping on cardboard. Not marked very well- would be easy to pass it by on the main road as I nearly did! Also, the 'Full English' was good, but pretty skimpy. One piece of bacon, two little mushrooms, a tiny hashbrown, and a couple spoonfuls of beans (replaced sausage and egg). If I would have had time to ask for more I would have, but I needed to leave pretty quickly, so did not. The two gentlemen that were also there had pretty skimpy plates as well, so it wasn't just me! I would recommend, but make sure you ask for extra breakfast!
Staff were very welcoming and helpful, location was close to town centre with plenty of shops, bars and restraunts
Mary made us feel very welcome. Lovely decor. Very good breakfast
Our visit clashed with a couple of wedding parties but despite being extremely busy service was excellect, staff were delightful No grounds for complaint
it was very relaxing and quiet which we liked also not lots of children as it was a romantic break evening meal was excellent a little expensive but very nice. yes the only thing was breakfast we had full english it was horrible cold and not cooked very well obviously not the same chef as at night that would be the only thing
Great setting and old world feel to hotel. Very disappointed with our upgraded room for value for money though. Was it really a deluxe room?? Room was poor.
good country location and relaxing atmosphere had to pass conference rooms with tables and other items in corridor to our room .We were not impressed !
Rooms spacious and breakfats good. No air conditioning and noisy. Other guests kep us awake until the early hours with conversations in the corridor andin the next room. Could almost hear every word of latter. Insufficient noise in sulation for a prestige hotel.
Fabulous grounds Varying levels of service from staff. Some went out of their way to be helpful, others gave the impression they were doing you a favour. In a way the hotel is living on it's reputation as a scenic venue rather than offering 4* service.
As it was Ascott weekend i did not like the Restaurant set menu at 45pounds and we had no choice to but to eat from this menu as there was nothing round about us and the weather was dreadfull.
receptionist couldnt give directions when I got lost. Thought the bar food was rather expensive and they were going to charge me for a cup of coffee in the morning having just spent £150!! Room far too hot
very relaing stay, friendly staff willing to take time to have general conversation. Sunday morning breakfast served until 12 o clock midday - the ultimate lazy sunday morning. Well done Royal Berkshire
The staff were very pleasant. The corridors leading to the room were old and shabby, the carpet was rank! An old sofa on the landing added to the general worry of what to expect when we got to the room. This was in contrast to the dining room and lounge which were very well presented. In addition, the room was adequate although the en-suite had serious mould in three corners - very off-putting.
convenient location for our needs. very enjoyable breakfast.lovely setting.Shame we could not stay longer none
Friendly staff good food Very public areas
I have criticised the Lysmoyne previously. On this occasion they were excellent in the way they looked after my mother during this stay, No
Nice quiet room, all the normal facilities. Good breakfast Cleaners were quite noisy in the morning, and knocked on door to see if they could clean the room instead of waiting until we had checked out.
it was pretty good value for money if you need to be in the Fleet area
staff very helpful when deficiencies pointed out. Cold shower due to limited capacity of boiler during upgrade,
It had a pleasant outlook onto a lawn area. It was easily accessible on the ground floor yet sufficiently secluded to be reasonably quiet. On arrival the room was oppressively hot and it proved difficult to moderate this except by the expedient of turning the radiator off altogether. There was a persistent ticking sound, possibly associated with the heating system, that was disturbing. Provision of net curtains for daytime privacy would have been appreciated.
The service and food in the restaurant were both excellent. The vegetarian options for the cooked breakfast were very poor (basically the full English but without the sausage, bacon etc.)
Staff were friendly but lacked expertise and experience, okay for 1 or 2 night stop over but not really family friendly, not a lot to do at the hotel, had too get out and about to find fun and adventure for the children. We stayed a week and spent most of our time away from the hotel, probably wouldn't stay there again.
There was a desert spoon holding the shower head together in room 10
Convient location with helpful staff
The evening meal menu was exactly the same each evening an occasional change would of been welcome.
the hotel staff and facilites were excellent
The Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and tidy and more than adequate for an overnight stay. Plenty of coffee sachets in room but only 1 milk.
the price - too expensive for the quality...little rooms , no clim, TV remote control not working, no minibar, poor breakfast
Friendly reception, good location. very warm inside the rooms
A bit dowdy, needs a revamp of furnishings
I had a good feeling from the minute I entered the hotel. The staff were all polite and attentive and without attitude. The restaurant had a cosy ambience and the waiter was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The room was clean and comfortable. A minor point really, I found that turning on the taps for a shower awkward due to an immovable screen.
Breakfast the room, booked for a family of four and there were only three beds
Room comfortable; clean; quiet; good facilities; Shower worked well; Good cooked breakfast Room gloomy, lighting poor; Bathroom floor tiles cracked and bathroom window would not open for ventilation; Toast and cooked breakfast all on one plate, no butter or margarine for the toast, Only one small cup of coffee served with breakfast
I am a regular at the hotel so do like the hotel overall Thew room is too far way from reception
don't like that hotel 'reserves' a certain amount on credit card for extras upfront, before consumption happened
Food was first class The marraige solemnisation room was aweful.Bare walls. Staff need to communicate more with each other.
Comfortable, clean, with an attentive staff. Having to get both car exit and personal exit codes each day vs. Having them for multiple days
Over all, a pleasant break. Very helpful staff. I think the price of the meals is a tad on the high side for what was on offer,a very limited menu. Prior to the meal bread was offered, however, only one piece given, also one small bowl of oil and balsamic vinegar to be shared by four people.Limited number of disabled parking, the space available was permanently taken by people without a disabled badge.Disabled parking should be strictly enforced, this is something I feel very strongly about.
Proximity to Ascot is great - 30 min walk. Restaurant was good, if a bit on the expensive side. Pool nice. pool / spa too busy with not enough staff of facilities to cope. Room fine but a little tired.
stairs along corridors inconvenient for rolling suitcases - make all into ramps?
Loved the spa area could have stayed in it all day.
The area no
Pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast this time. Convenient for us,and we usually try to saty here when we visit the area. We booked two rooms, but they were miles apart. Good rooms with one or two minor problems.
