Very clean updated rooms. Beds and pillows were very soft which was difficult since both my husband and I prefer a harder bed. Quiet location but close enough to and easy walk to downtown Cambria.

Pros:The Motel is a little older (which means the rooms are larger than newer rooms) and very nicely remodeled. I see from reading previous suggestions they take them to heart, as our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The Pastries on the weekend are incredible. Shops and restaurants are literally a 5 minute walk from the Motel.
Cons:Coffee was OK, but didn't match the Pastries at all. A small refrigerator would have been nice. Especially, for longer stays.

Pros:Nothing.... will never consider staying here again. We reaerved a room with 2 queen size beds and a balcony and they gave us a room with 1 pull out bed. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable that even my 4yr old was complaining about his back hurting. I would like for the owner and or manager to try and slee on the sofa bed and beds....

Pros:I liked the location of the inn. Though I would have liked to be closer to the beach, it was surrounded by cute cafes and shops.
Cons:I did not like the fact that they asked for credit card information online and charged us at the hotel still with a one hundred dollar deposit on top of it all.

Pros:Of course hearst castle was great! Cambria was also great.
Cons:What my wife and i, also my friends did not like were the beds They were to hard, not comfortable, everything else was fine.

Pros:The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Just a short walk to shopping and restaurants. We had a lovely stay!

Pros:Staff were friendly on the phone. Good place to stop for our drive from Solvang to Monterey.
Cons:Heater doesn't work. Very noisy - I can hear other rooms showering and walking. The room and bathroom were not as clean as I hoped. Upgrading to a balcony room was quite useless - no view, and it seems that the room is exactly same as the standard one, with primary difference being that the room was upstairs. Realistically, this room is worth less than $80, the cost reflects the location and perhaps the scarcity of nicer places to stay.

Pros:The room itself was clean and comfortable. The balcony was a nice feature and there was room to sit and relax before turning in for the evening.
Cons:The sinks didn't drain and there was a big wad of hair in the shower drain. We were happy we only stayed here one night because we didn't want to shower here and we didn't.

Pros:The only thingh I liked is the town is located in.
Cons:Place is dated, the water in the shower comes out really hot while you shower then all of a sudden the water comes out freezing cold, every time some one in the next room uses the water or flushes the toilet while you shower this happens..
