With a stay at Hotel Casa Cambutal in Cambutal, you'll be on the beach, just a 1-minute walk from Peninsula de Azuero and 12 minutes by foot from Los Buzos Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Relaxed, laid back and quite.
Cons: Took quite some time for the staff to prepare lunch and/or dinner.
Pros: Pretty much the best location on the beach. Best surfing peaks at Playa Cambutal are right in front of hotel. Felt very safe and secure. Pretty good pricing on food and drinks.
Cons: Room price is a little high for what you get. I still have some reservations paying close to $200 per night for a hotel room in Latin America. It wasn't that long ago where rooms like this would be <$100 per night. Such is the way of the world...
Pros: Loved the location and the facilities. Very clean and super comfy. A 2 min walk to the beach. Will go back!
Cons: We have no complains!
Pros: Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, delicious food!
Cons: no hot water in the shower
Pros: This is the cutest place ever. A handful of true "beach bungalows". Very private. The beach is incredible, and almost nobody on it except a few surfers. My dinner was fresh caught red snapper and was delicious. The shower was hot, the bed comfy and the AC cold. The only negative is that the wifi only works in the restaurant, but with a beach like that, you shouldn't be hanging on wifi!
Pros: Right on the beach this hotel is packed with character and has a quality finish. High standard of well cooked, well presented food. Beautiful grounds with relaxed atmosphere and all rooms having a sea view from their varanda.
Pros: Not crowded
Cons: lost electricity 50% of our stay restaurant service was fair, could use some extra training.
Pros: Jose the owner was lovely. There isn’t any hot water at the property though! It wasn’t really needed as the weather was great but would have been nice!
Boasting a garden and bar, as well as a restaurant, La Finca is set in Cambutal. Free WiFi and a shared kitchen are offered. All guest rooms at the hotel come with a seating area. At La Finca all rooms include air conditioning and a private bathroom. Guests at the accommodation can enjoy a continental breakfast. Pedregal is 20 km from La Finca.
Pros: The Bathroom
Pros: First off the owners are super nice! The room was amazing for the price, super spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is huge as well and the decoration is beautiful all over. The layout of La Finca is charming as well. They have a great location. It's cool that they have a kitchen too in case you wanna cook your own stuff, considering that in Cambutal there might be times when there is nothing else available. We absolutely loved our room and the fact that is pet friendly. Still day dreaming about our breakfast / dinner at Sugar Mama (the restaurant in la finca)
Cons: I can't think of anything, really. When we got there there was no electricity in all of Cambutal, so we spent a whole day kinda suffering from the heat, while some other hotels had power plants or solar panels, I think La Finca could invest in some solar panels, since they even state on their info guide that the power goes out frequently (If you know that happens, offer an option for guests that aren't comfortable with that). Just to have a back up in case it goes out for a longer time. Other than that, we loved everything.
Pros: Breakfast waffles were incredible, they are not included on the hotel price but definitely worth it. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable, they were super nice with the pet. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Cons: I would recommend putting an extra cover/blanket in the room, it was raining and it got kind of chilly. There is not much to do around in the rainy season, limited restaurant offers, I would recommend going in the summer.
Pros: The location was great, just a few min walk away from the beach and a short drive from most surf spots. The view from the upstairs room was beautiful! Our room was clean, but the kitchen sometimes would get a bit stinky. The owners were super nice and helpful!
Cons: A LOT of mosquitoes in the kitchen-there’s a big palm tree in the corner and the pot is always filled up with water. Looks pretty, but also a perfect spot for a huge mosquito nest. The power was out for probably half of our 8 night stay. Which is, of course, not La Fincas fault, but it would definitely be nice if they had a generator, like some other hotels in town. Especially because without the power the water pump doesn’t work and there’s no running water in the upstairs room where we stayed.
Pros: Location, tight across the beach
Pros: Wonderful views. Excellent host.
Pros: Great view of the ocean, the staff is very nice and helpful. They have a common kitchen well equipped to cook your meals.
Boasting free bikes and garden, as well as a restaurant, El Ranchito Surfcamp is situated in Pedregal. Free WiFi and a shared kitchen are available. The guest house offers a terrace.
Pros: The owners have been kind, the garden is nice
Pros: Very beautiful place, the garden is great to hang out and chill and it has a pool! Lorenzo and Jiani are really nice and always doing thier best to comfort you! The food is really good! And everthing is super clean! Its a bit far from the beach to walk but that doesnt matter because they give you a ride twice a day and they have bikes you can use too... we had a great time and would definetly stay again
When you a stay at Sansara Surf and Yoga Resort - Retreat in Cambutal, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Los Buzos Beach and Peninsula de Azuero. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is super quiet and intimate. Healthy food and lovely service. One of the best massages I have ever had.
When you a stay at Surfcamp Guanico in Guanico Abajo, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Peninsula de Azuero and Guanico Abajo Beach. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hostel has an amazing location and great potential but the owner and his method of running a hostel ruin it! Whether it be $3 to use the kitchen (a joke), $3 for a beer or $4 for wax to put on the board you spend $20 renting, it just feels like the owner just wants your money and not for you to have a great stay! The staff are really helpful and friendly but it does not make up for the dreadful atmosphere in the hostel! Do not recommend!
Pros: Service and personal.
Cons: No WiFi connection.
Pros: Everything was excellent!
Cons: Kitchen could use a little more coverage during rainy season.
