The views were stunning. The food was great. The staff was pleasant for the most part. The resort grounds were very well mantained.
Tryed to book under a wedding block but that was so difficult I booked online through a 3rd party. The room smelled horrible, cleaning staff spoke 0 english so we couldnt get clean towels or the garbage taken out. The ac in the room was extremely loud. The linens on the bed seemed unclean but again language barrier with housekeeping so it did not get resolved. While checking out I asked to speak to a manager that didnt happen and I had to catch a flight. The place is beautiful and most of the staff were pleasant overall it is not what I expected
mediocre
Location, pool
Rooms outdated, grounds not well maintained. Disappointed for the price

Location
Carefree Resort and Conference Center is in a beautiful location. For the services provided, it is overpriced. I was a bit surprised that the place is not as geared to customer satisfaction as they ought to be. I requested a room change due to many extraneous noises from rooms next door, as well as from the outside. Instead of making immediate amends even though they had available rooms, they said their system could not let me move to another room till the next day! I come to a resort to get some rest and relaxation, not to be kept up all night with various noises. As a result I could not sleep all night the first night I arrived. The next day, i had to ask again to be moved, and after persisting, they finally did. They are isolated from other restaurants, and do provide a shuttle to the downtown area. They do have a restaurant. Here too, customer service was less than desirable. I had ordered a salad (no ingredients needed to be cooked) for take out, and although they said it would take 30 min to get this, I did not get it before 50 min had gone by! 50 min wait for a fresh salad is just unbelievable. Not to mention that it came only after I reminded them of the duration of my wait. Needless to say, I expect a lot more from a place in the business of providing rest and relaxation while eliminating hassle. This did not seem to be their strong suit. I would only recommend this place if no other better accommodation is available. 3 stars.
They Didn't Have A Reservation for Us!!
The resort itself was very nice. The only problem is, we booked through this website, but when we arrived at the hotel, they said they had never received our reservation. Thankfully, there were still rooms available, and they did honor the rate we had been quoted on this site.(I had a paper copy of the confirmation). If you book through Kayak, make sure you call the hotel before you arrive to make sure they have your reservation!!!
The venues for weddings is nice. Large and scenic. The BBQ dinner was good. We were put in the Villas and having the pool there was fun and convenient and all ours. Overall it was a fine experience but the resort could use a spruce up.
The wait staff was slow to respond to empty dishes on the buffet. Also, they delivered cake to a few of the tables and then seemed to stop. The handicapped rooms need to be renovated. The one my brother was in should have had higher toilets, walk in/roll in shower, no carpet, all tile and the bed was too high. Doorways were wide enough and there were ramps.
The views
It was very clean and a beautiful location
There was no room service available late night, hotel bar closed early in the night and no place would deliver. Also, stayed in the villas and the owners came into our room with a ton of stuff they dumped in the livingroom and when we came to check out they proceeded to tell us we were suppose to be out hours ago and were VERY rude and disrespectful even after I explained we had a 3pm check out that was given by the hotel and on our paperwork. Once we got to the hotel to check out officially they confirmed our 3pm check out and apologized. The villa was 23B 5159 and the owners were VERY VERY rude and I would never stay at that one again.
The location of the resort was absolutely beautiful. the pool was beautiful as well. We also thoroughly enjoyed be onsite
Rooms were dated and nothing spectacular. It was comparable to staying at a Motel 6. Definitely not what I think of when I hear the whole word resort.
Location and staff
Unruly drunken guests that woke us up the 1st night of our stay. After repeated calls by us and other guests, hotel should have evicted the troublemakers.
Location was perfect for us,
The main pool chairs were a mess. The room was okay. Nothing fancy.
