What are the pros of staying at Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs?
Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed. Really a great place to stay. Room was clean and very spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, private, and spacious with a great view of the lake. Staff were polite and professional. Great experience. The Caroline Springs Mercure was a palace. The rooms were huge and extremely clean, and the beds were so comfortable. I liked that we could also eat downstairs in their restaurant and the food was first class. Every member of staff, from the front desk, housekeeping, and servers were extremely amicable. They engaged in conversation with you and made you smile. Everybody was so happy. We will be back to visit soon. The space, comfort, view & friendly staff. The staff on checking in and check out amazing and helpful, our flight had been cancelled and I was only in Melbourne for the day. Nice clean property great facilities! Large room, comfortable bed. The location is great and the property as a whole is wonderful. Everything is beautiful staff were so friendly and kind. Seriously the best place & experience. Easy parking. Friendly bar staff. Nice food. Welcoming staff, spacious rooms. Relaxing atmosphere dining room. It was clean, lovely setting near the water and the facilities were great. I like the location and cost. Size and comfort of room. Close to everything and had everything there. Location.
What are the cons of staying at Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs?
Room service food ordinary and expensive. Some of the TVs are very small for such a big room. Short duration of stay. The view of the shopping centre. I Thought it would all be lake views. slow wifi. Can’t think of anything. Did not have the freedom to smoke on the balcony. One of the reasons why I chose a room with a balcony. Would have been perfect if there was a microwave. Inter-leading room door let through noise of neighbours tv. Extremely disappointing. Woke me up. I will not stay in a hotel with an Inter leading door ever again. No hotel slippers and bathrobe. The receptionist is a bit rude. The TV s are really really small. Staff on check in sat down and behind desk so couldn’t see them so not very accessible to ask questions. Staff not particularly friendly or helpful in offering support for local public transport options or any other information. Didn’t like the $5 fee for room service. Pokies are extremely distasteful at the front door. Poor wifi. I had to use straight hot eater for the shower, as a result there was very little water pressure to use the large shower head, it dribbled out. Water should be provided at free of charge. There was spare toilet rolls around. Doors and need dredging up. $150 bond is a bit high,$50-100 will be more standard. There were a few guests that were a bit rowdy and somehow were on the roof of the 3rd story drinking a bottle of whisky at 6am. But that’s not the property’s fault. Beds are HARD! My room view of the dodgy shopping center would have preferred the lake view. Lack of choice for breakfast options. Fruit, ceral, toast etc. Breakfast staff seemed not happy to be there. The lifts were getting worse and worse each day. Lots of rattling and bangs and clangs while using them. And the fridge was way too small. Had to throw a lot of our food out as it couldn't fit in fridge. Shower temperature and water pressure was extremely poor. We thought the carpets were quite dirty in the hall ways.. And the area didn’t seem real safe.. The TV was tiny in such a big room. There were little crickets in the room. The TV s are so small they need upgrades. Shower goes cold on and off wile having a shower. The pool. Could use an upgrade. Rusty floors and missing tiles. Also, a plus if breakfast was buffet style. The requirement to pay a bond. still not refunded after four days! TV was too small. For the price the television could have been larger and a streaming service would be good. The shower was ok but there are better shower heads. Hot water ok when it eventually comes through. Bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff did a great job. The staff in the hotel section were good, prices a bit high but that is the situation everywhere. The room was very cold , the tv , didn't even have a music Chanel , mattress wasn't anything special , I payed $29 extra for a room up grade that was the same as the standard, I also payed $50 for breakfast that was just egg în a muffen, and a coffee , very poor , for such a big estabhlisment they should at least offer baffey breakfast. Early hours false fire alarm. The staff on checking in and check out amazing and helpful, our flight had been cancelled and I was only in Melbourne for the day. A bit pricey for just a room. 1 Bedside lamp and desk lamp not functioning. Bed wasn’t great. Prices.
