The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great meals. Amazing trail system! Cloud forest was extremely beautiful. Bird watching was spectacular and guide was inexpensive and enthusiastic
Highlight of my travel to Costa Rica! This place is out of this world! So close to nature and animals (seeing quetzales from the dining room!), beautifully located in the mountains and surrounded by forests. The hosts were really welcoming and great to talk to. The common space has a wonderfully homely feel to it. Food was amazing! There were two vegans in our party and it was not a problem at all to cater for us. All was fresh and tasty. Bedrich has a great knowledge of the local flora and fauna. He took us on a great forest adventure that we'll never forget. Make sure to bring some warm clothes as it is really cold up in the monutains but it makes a great break in between the beach stays on the coasts.
Great welcoming vibe, breathtaking view and the best cafe and banana pancakes
Helpful owner, speaks English.
Wonderful views and trails (far better than the Quetzales national park, and actually one of the most interesting to do so far for us). We could not spot a Quetzale, but we saw other beautiful birds. Very nice pancakes on the second day's breakfast.
We went during cold days and our room had no isolation, so it was freezing. Nevertheless, they provided a small heater and lots of blankets. Also, there was a nice fireplace in the common area which was very cozy. We had no problems with wi-fi, but to use it we had to ask the owner to start an hot spot from his mobile phone.
