I liked pretty much everything about it. It was clean, comfortable and affordable. We could have stayed at a more expensive place, but we figured we would use the room to sleep and get cleaned up. The rest of the time would be spent sightseeing. The breakfast was a typical small Italian breakfast. Just coffee and a croissant. The ones are very nice and although there was a bit of a language barrier, we had no trouble communicating. I highly recommend this place for someone looking for a clean comfortable place without all of the amenities of a big hotel. We arrived about 3.5 hours before the check in time and figured we would just leave our bags and go sightseeing. The place is accessible through a locked gate with an intercom. Unfortunately, no one was there and we had to sit at the corner cafe for a few hours. As I stood outside the gate trying to call them, I could hear their phone ringing inside. So, I knew they were not there. Eventually someone answered and let us in.
Location - Staff - In room breakfast No elevator
Excellent location and very helpful and courteous staff. This was a great place to relax at the end of our 6 week European Trip. Althogh perfectly adequate some more choices for breakfast would be an improvement suggestion.
It is a perfect hotel for vacation!
The location, rooms, cleanliness and staff were excellent.
Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. Hotel was very well located with quite nice rooms. Recommend without a doubt.
Almost everything: room is beautiful, clean and comfortable, balcony view is stunning, location could hardly be better, etc. Quite expensive but reasonable for Positano and really worth the money Breakfast could be improved - not that it's bad, but one would expect more variety for the price.
Good view A lot of steps.
placement and service the room was small
Secluded with a beautiful view of the town, very romantic
welcoming staff could not have been more freindly, very well maintained throughout
Our favourite hotel in the region. Wonderful room in an old villa, perfect service (like free internet access, very helpful staff) very nice rooms. We would recommend it immediately! The quality of the bed (mattress) could have been better. Finding a nice restaurant was not so easy.
Location was excellent, walking distance to the beach, 5 minutes from railway station, nice quiet rooms (ours #2 was very spacious), lovely terrace for breakfast (we had dinner there as well), quite large selection at breakfast (even cheese and salami), the staff was very friendly, there was cumputer you could use in the lobby (although the printer didn't work), we could use the fridge in the kitchen The coffee at breakfast was terrbile, our air conditioning got turned off so that we couldn't get it back on by ourselves a couple of times (once it was off all night long = HOT), the bathroom leaked water into the room when taking a long shower (I bet there is water damage under the floor)
My father thought the family was friendly and liked the historical aspect of the building. The rest of us found little to enjoy at this B&B. No A/C, 30+ yr old twin beds put together on cot stand for double bed, cold breakfast only, hard to find, no parking, noisy farm animals from 5am to midnight, teenage daughter left in charge of office during day, no shower/bath only, cleaning by maid only some days. I would not stay here again or recommend it at all.
Nothing When we arrived it was very difficult for us to find it. We spent more than 2 hours looking for it and when we asked people for directions no one knew about it. When we finally found it, we found out that this is a house with no lift and they gave us a room on the 3rd floor, with no lift and we had to pass through loads of toys and barbie doll houses which were laying all over the place. We then decided not to stay at the hotel and asked them to cancel the booking. Maria grazia, the owner gave us a room which was not the one we booked and when I asked her why she told us that alll the other rooms are full. However when I spoke to the receptionist, she told us that we were the only people there and therefore it was not true that the room we booked was full this was a very bad experience and in fact we then had to look for another hotel where to stay. The photos on the website do not match the reality. This was our worst experience when travelling abroad.
It was a very relaxing hotel and fabulous staff
Everything about Villa Yiara was excellent. If I had to choose one thing, it would be the people. Hotel employeee were lovely and so helpful, and so were the other support staff ladies. Breakfast was outstanding & more than we could eat Not really. A few wall hooks or a chair in the bathroom would have been helpful to put clothes on but this was not a serious problem.
The hotel is situated in the beautiful town of Bomerano set in a valley surronded by mountains, an ideal location for hill walkers. The Hotelier Roberto and his dad Geraldo are such kind, generous people and Roberto has excellent knowledge of the surrounding areas. This was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in.Geraldo provided fresh fruit from his garden for breakfast which was really so kind.
Very nice and friendly staff. They gave us good recommendations for day trips and restaurants in Agerola Be aware that Agerola is located in a little valley above the Amalfi Coast. You don't have sea view from the house.
very helpful staff; gave great advice re places to see and eat and helped with booking onward travel. wonderful breakfast and such nice people welcoming and friendly always
Roberto was an amazing host, he took us on a little tour of the town and knows lots about the region and is always willing to tell you anything you want to know. No, for the price we paid the room was fantastic
The family running the hotel were lovely! They were so friendly, helpful and accommodating (they even made a birthday cake for one of us!). It was in a beautiful area and near to some gorgeous locations. Roberto recommended places for us to visit and was happy to talk about local culture/traditions. Breakfast was a little boring (I think that's because breakfast isn't big in Italy?) but we ate so much during our break away that it probably helped us to not overeat...too much!
