Relaxing environment. Beautifull hotel building and garden. Good dinner.Friendly and helpfull staff. Only Italian language speaking staff. Breakfast has limited assortment.
The hotel is small The hotel is quite new, so many things didn't work well, no internet connection, no Air Con, the tv screen was micro, not adopted for a 4* hotel. The service for the breakfast was very poor, the lady there was not professional... They forgot to give me back my passport I had to come back after sveral hours to take it, I even didn't get any call from the hotel informing me that I forgot my passport!
very nice environment, quiet NA
Good wired internet connection. Reasonably priced restaurant. Breakfast is poor with little choice.
the bed sheets
Hotel staff, big parking, quiet location
Bus 175 Pavia to Milan stops right outside the hotel. Bus stop back directly opposite. Easy flat walk to monastry. Hotel has restaurant serving tasty national dishes and house wine. Breakfast hot drinks had to made individually to order..when the sever was not away from the counter.....no easy access drink machine.
Great distance from a station and certosa di Pavia
Easy to find since it is beside the road. The hotel is new with reasonable space. Inside place for parking, good wifi signal in room, afundant food in breakfast, all the above are free! A chinese restraunt nearby with a good price. Beside road and some room maybe noisy.
Great location. (Una sede bene!) Very convenient to Pavia Monastero and Milano citta. Il ristorante serve buono pasto. Restaurant food is delicious. Rooms are in quiet area of hotel building. Nothing negative.
Great place to relax at the end of the trip or at the beginning. Just about an 1hr.-1 hr. 20 min. (with the traffic) drive from the airport (MXK) Milan.Clean, specious room for 2, nice design. Great food, good value for your money. Reception had English speaking person, otherwise not too many people spoke English.
Rooms were very clean adn comfortable with friendly, helpful staff
We were there to visit the Certosa but enjoyed a night experiencing the smaller italian town and rural countryside as well. Stayed in the newer part of the hotel, which was basic but very clean. Hotel restaurant was good value with great food, the locals come to dine there too, which is always a good sign. It is situated on a busy road, we had a back room which was quiet enough - could be worth asking when booking for a room at the back. It would have been nice to have mini bar fridge for a cool drink in the room on arrival.
the hotel is very close to certoza di pavia and to pavia. very good Restaurant.
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was above expectation. The hotel is a very short drive from the certosa (about 1.5km) and about 10 minutes drive from Pavia.
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent menu in the restaurant. Good location for overnight stays as it is very close to the Milan- Genoa motorway
The room was small, but very clean. There is free parking and free wireless internet connection in the room.
The friendly staff. This hotel was definitively not 4 star. In fact it was around 2 star, in extremely poor condition, toilet smelled of urine, decor is from around 1970. Wallpaper was in extremely poor condition. I would suggest you do not include this hotel in your list of available hotels. To think that we paid 100 euros per night. It was a disgrace.
I liked the friendliness of the employees and the American coffee The room had a few bugs on the walls, and had no view
Easy access from highway, comfortable parking, reastaurants close to the hotel. Quite place, bankomat close. I was satisfied, no objections
Friendly and helpful staff. Free wifi. Convenient for business in Pavia
Well located and easy for walking round the City. Warm welcome. Good breakfast. Computer facilities fine .
Free internet use in foyer. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly Restaraunt was closed and there was no jaccuzi available
The hotel is new, the restaurant very nice, the location a bit outside is a gool idea. The air conditioning and the ventilation system are rather loud. As the location of the hotel is at a crossroad, special glass for the windows to keep the traffic rumour out of the room could be an idea, especially in the upper rooms.
The room is perfect. The breakfast is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The bed ... really a new, big and quite comfortable bed .. actually probably nothing better in Pavia
Good location. Very basic. Bed was hard. Room was dingy and noisy.
Cheerful and competent personnel, good international class comfort, proximity to both railway station and the historic downtown.
The hotel was a reasonable 4 star We were disappointed with the position of the room especially as we had booked well in advance and were there for 3 nights, it was very noisy form the street below
The hotel was conveniently situated both for access to the centre of Pavia and also for trips outside the town. Our children enjoyed the television programmes available.
For the price I thought continental Breakfast should of been included. Also very disappointed that we have to pay for transportation to and from the hotel.
the swimming pool outside was wonderfull and good comfort in the room
Nice little park, location is OK, Poor breakfast, the room should be 21 sqm this includes the "large"bathroom and the hall so the room and the bathroom are in reality to small. Only Italian TV channels on a small TV. Hotel is more a campanile with slippers. Not four stars more three start.A very basic SPA. For 150 Euro you can find a more luxurious hotel.
Very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and ample parking. Not far from town for taxi transport. Ample space and free parking. You are very near the center but still in the country. Eat before you get there if you plan to be a late arrival.
The design, the friendly staff, the size of the rooms which were quite large, the garden, the view from the rooms and the restaurants, acces to internet The openinghours of the spa, it would have been nice if it was open before breakfast so you have time to use it even though you have meetings in the day.
Good breakfast, nice grounds. Pool was not available but no reason was given.
Large, modern and comfortable room and bathroom overlooking lovely gardens. Location too far to walk into town centre. Would've expected a free shuttle bus to be provided when staying at a hotel of this class/price.
The hotel is nice. It is close to the railway station of Pavia. It is very conveniet.
central to a number of cities including milan (by rail) as well as close to the city centre of Pavia for cafes/restaurants and shopping
The ratio of price and comfort. What it had worked well. Very clean and renovated, neutral style, very friendly treatment of the customers, the internet worked at once and also in the room. The breakfast had everything I needed. Rather quiet, but close to the station and the center. My best experience with Italian hotels, even if the hotel had only 2 stars you could compare to 3 star ones and in fact it was better than all 3 star ones that I have experienced in Italy.
The hotel was reasonably central....closeto station. Rooms were quite small but functional, very clean and bathroom seemed new. Safe and reasonable for a short stay Bed was a bit hard!
it was excellent... breakfast could have been better... the staff was very helpful i was given a schedule for buses from pavia to malpensa airport... which i soon found out had not been operating for about 8 years!!!!!
Country setting off the beaten path. Partially restored country manor, Very friendly staff and owner. Very good meal on site. Relaxing setting large comfortable rooms More difficult location to find. Wet damp night that we stayed could have used some heating
Food was wonderlfull, owners are very nice people and Jimmy the dog very cute
beautiful place, very nice people, good food and wine... excellent! no fridge in room
Our hosts were warm and welcoming.
People was very friendly... No
Everything, the place is magical, the ‘domain’ and surroundings are fabulous, and last but not the least, the people (Valentina and Luigi) are incredible! You’ll not believe that it’s real. The only regret is that we can not spend the rest of our life there in Terensano.
Beautiful setting, wonderful staff and great food.
The location surrounded by vineyards and the countryside was beautiful when we were there in the fall. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and a delicious dinner prepared by Valentina. The fact that we had a GPS helped us find it with ease. It would have been nice to spend nother night or two.
The staff were very good, the building interesting and the attention to detail in the decor phenomenal The pool was murky, the proprietors weren't there and left us in the hands of their gardener cum cook and the cleaning chap, there was no price list for the meals and no chance to negotiate as the cook couldn't speak English and our Italian wasn't good enough. When the owners did arrive they were courteous and perfunctory.
Mi piace molto. I loved the place and most of all the people. The rooms are created, renovated and cared for with love, style and attention. The welcome was simply perfect. A lovely couple invite you to their home and you go from being strangers to family. All the staff are caring and kind, efficient and discreet. The food was home cooking at its very best, and features farm produce from the estate. Wonderful jams and chutneys, hand-made pasta with eggs so fresh the hen has not missed them! And what wonderful wines grown, developed, and served by the wine-maker himself. A beautiful red with enough tanin to tickle the pallate, but tender and gentle to seduce the mouth. We now have a case to share with friends, and photos to treaure.
Absolutely fabulous hotel in a wonderful part of Italy. A hidden gem - the facilities are brillant, pool, tennis courts gardens etc. Good breakfast along with very helpful and friendly service. Rooms super comfortable and great value for money. Will definitely return.
Very pleasant and comfortable. Staff polite and helpful. Located close to the town No
Good Italian country hotel with nice comforatble rooms Not internet service so not suitable for business people or every if want to confirm a filght. Breakfast very poor - i know Italian breakfast is different to English but selection very limited. TV channels there is not guide in the room so have to search 200+ channels to find the 1 english one.
We only stayed one night but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very comfortable with good bathroom.Staff very friendly and surrounding area super.
Family run and personal atmosphere, English speaking, very helpful. Good location in small spa town with excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Pretty garden to sit in.
Very pleasant and helpfull staff. Suite must have been newly renovated, so it was quite nice and spacious.
Several staff spoke English, they were very nice, and we liked that breakfast was included. The hotel is near several good restaurants.
staff interested in our stay and our comfort. Gave us on request some nice tips of places to visit on our way to garda that the swimming pool acted as a public bath during the weekend
I give this hotel, the staff, the atmosphere my absolute best recommendations. Salice is a charming little city with Hotel Milano as the citys pearl. The first morning we woke up and went to the restaurant, the owner came to our table and asked if we knew about the area - we told him "not much", and he returned with maps, brochures etc. etc. He even had time to sit down and explains us where to go, what to see, and where to buy delicate local wines etc. etc. Time ... relaxing ... cozy atmosphere are the best words to describe this place. I am for sure coming back! I just hope the hotel stays around for a very long time ... you don't see to many places like this anymore.
Extremely pleasant staff who went out of their way to make our short stay interesting.
Friendly staff. I really am mystified as to how the Milano has scored as high. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The standard room was very basic & old-pink walls and blue carpets just don't do it, the furniture needs updating, a small portable TV is inadequate , the bathroom was dated and the shower facility was inadequate - depressing!! New bar had opened up downstairs which created an almighty noise to 3am, no soundproofing whatsoever, people strolling in and out of the hotel as they pleased which kept me up.The breakfast was terrible, poor quality food, little or no personal service. We left a day early, would not recommend, the owners need to decide if they want a bar or a successful hotel, they don't have the infrastructure to do both!
Friendly, helpful staff. Cleanliness. Outdated decor and furnishings.
Best value for money
Wonderful staff. Shuttle was available for morning and evening use and quickly picked our group up when called.
Nice, spacious rooms with all required comfort. Good location close to Pavia.
Room very comfortable, all very clean. Poor breakfast
The staff was great. They were willing to shuttle us around even as late as midnight one night. The hotel was not busy at the time we were there, so it was quiet and relaxing. The only drawback for this hotel, is the fact that it is a few miles from town. We did not have a car on this trip, so we used the local bus and the hotel shuttle. This was not a major problem.
ease of use for disabled persons not easy to find
Friendly welcome especially as we were English. Relaxed atmosphere. Stayed only 2 nights (over for a baptism at Montemarzino) but enjoyed the stay. Been to Salice once before two years ago (for the wedding!) but stayed elsewhere. Would certainly return to the Hotel Salus.
location breakfast, staff, decor
We loved the beautiful view high up in the mountains and the wonderful people we talked to.
The breakfast selection is small but adequate, yet the personnel is hardly accomodating and balks at any request outside very tight parameters.
Very clean room, very good restaurant, now speak English during daytime All is a bit outdated, but functional and very clean.
too small TV , should be bigger than 20"
good location if visiting Salice Terme rooms are very noisy, not all rooms have air-conditioning, breakfast is poor.
Nothing No. Old, 35° c and no airco, no soap, durty bathroom, small, poor breakfast iff any. Lucky only for one night.
Nice park and silent place, friendly staff, good cuisine and wine. Non comfortable bed from springs, and also a dark room. A poor breakfast.
Really nice experience all round. Being able to speak in English was a real bonus to us as our Italian is awful (but we are learning!) and the evening meal was something we will remember for a long time. If our plans work our we will visit the hotel again on a regular basis.
I enjoyed my stay there it was situated in a lovely town, a pleasent family run hotel
Pokoje bardzo skromne, w starym stylu, ale czysto. Śniadanie mało urozmaicone/Rooms very humble furnished in old style but clean. Breakfast humble as well.
close to highway old fashioned, poor meal
The hotel is family run which I love! We had wonderful service and I felt right at home. The dinner is excellent which is specially made by the female owner. That truly was the best part of our stay. We will be returning again next year!
The rooms are fair, the space is just the minimum needed for confort and the area is great. There is an enormous pool on the other side of the road for 5 euro/half a day, which if beautiful. The placement of the hotel, is near a road where, during the night, cars pass by. The noise is unpleasant. Ask for a room , away from that road:)
The surroundings, the spacious and comfortable rooms and breakfast was just OK.
Warm welcome on late arrival:-) They forgot to give us our Passports when we checked out (and we forgot to ask for them since we hadn´t been asked to leave our passports anywhere else during our trip in France). We were in Milano when they called and we had to turn around and make another two-way trip to the "off" city where the hotel was located. Costed us half a day and money for driving:-(
2 minutes off the autostrade. big spacious room with good facilities. good breakfast buffet and helpful staff. My room was not facing the autostrade.
close to motorway (but without noise) so very easy access, very clean, original design staff with very limited English knowledge
the staff were very friendly, and tried hard even though there was a language block between us.
Free and unlimited wifi access
Friendly hotel by the highway from Milan to Genva, mainly visited by truck drivers and families driving from North to South (Germany, Austria to Rome etc) for 1 overnight. Clean but interior design is a disaster (pink walls, zebra-like carpets, all very cheap:-)
