With a stay at Hospedaje Yarisnori in Bocas del Toro, you'll be 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Starfish Beach and 11.1 mi (17.8 km) from Bocas Marina. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location is good if you wanna be away from the crowd of Colon. It’s good for families too and we had a baby bed. Laid back atmosphere with a great beach view. Playa estrellas is a 25 min walk
Cons: There were possible activities like kayak but no information was given upon arrival. Dinner is served until 6h (though the owner offered to serve until 7h) there are no other restaurants around. The waitress serving is not very smiley
Pros: Staff were great, location close to the magnificent Starfish Beach was superb. The room, when we finally got the correct room, was a bargain for $40 US per night, clean, comfortable bed, and lovely porch facing water with table and chairs and hammock. Would stay again, but would insist on not getting bumped next door and would take steps to control sand flea bites around hotel if possible.
Cons: The big disappointment with this stay occurred on the first night, when we were told by the owner they had overbooked and we would be put up at a neighbouring cabin, which turned out to be a hostel, but we would be given free breakfast. Unlike the original room, the cabin had no wifi, no TV, and the bathroom floor was covered in hair. One night of that was enough and the owner, following our complaint, finally booted the 2 overstayed folks occupying the room we had booked. After that our stay was great except for getting attacked by sand fleas in the evening near the water, which left welts on our legs for days. But the owner made up for the early transgression, paying for a second breakfast and being generally helpful.
Pros: Good location near Estrella beach. Friendly helpful staff, we could have hot water for free to make our own tea. But the noisy aggregate from the neighbour house spoiled the night.
Cons: Hotel's aggregate was VERY noisy and very near hotel rooms. It stopped at 11pm but neighbour's aggregate continued the whole night. Ear blugs didn't help because of the resonance.
Pros: It is in a great location. An easy walk to Starfish Beach and right on its own beach. The meals were inexpensive and very good. Fresh fish each night. Juani, the proprietor was exceptionally kind and attentive. The bathroom is very nice and everything is clean and well cared for. There were 2 fans in the room.
Cons: The generator was loud (they hope to get town electricity soon). The room felt small with bunk beds and double bed. Be sure to have good insect repellent. The sand fleas are ever present on Caribbean beaches.
Pros: The owner was super nice, very welcoming. She recommended what food to order and was very arranging. We really enjoyed staying the night in Bocas del Drago. The spot is really amazing, like waking up in paradise!
Cons: The rest of the staff was not even smiling or saying hello...
Pros: Everything was perfect Very friendly owner. She also leads the restaurant which serves very good menus. We also had a great Christmas Eve Diner.
Cons: Unfortunately a neighbour has a very loud Diesel Generator which runs all the night....
Pros: We arrived way earlier than check in time and the room was immediately available. The room was one minute from the water and extremely clean. We were also offered to have our laundry done no charge. The breakfast was delicious and all other meals really cheap and fresh. The hosts helped us with literally everything we needed. One of the best traveling experiences ever.
Pros: The location is excellent for couples and families, take a local bus from town for 2.5$pp and enjoy the 40min ride with the locals. Beautiful estrella beach is located 15minutes walk under the shadow of trees. The yarisnori place is really nice, excellent location, tasty food and reasonable prices. Owner Juani is really nice and will do everything to make you feel welcomed. Recommend the stay in yuanisnori.
Cons: Sand flea, take repellent
Pros: Clean rooms, great host and good food.
Pros: Enjoyed our time there. Great location with private beachfront, gardens, & a stunning 15 min jungle walk to Starfish Beach. Easy spot to travel to as a direct bus will take you to & from Bocas Town Center for $5 cash a person per way. Safe, clean, locals favorite but relaxing & peaceful at night. The restaurant has very delicious food for the price & they were every sweet & accommodating. The owner made sure we were good on dinner every night before she closed up & even gave me a mini cooler full of ice, bottle of wine, 2 wine glasses, & 2 complimentary bottles of water on 2 separate occasions. Would recommend it for families, solo travelers, & couples. And would definitely go back again.

Pros: The WiFi was good. If you're only staying one night, it's ok.
Cons: We were asked to pay an extra $4 and when we contested this, he said it's a problem with booking.com and we should message them, sounds fishy, so we only gave him an extra $2, probably should've gave nothing but it was a strange situation and made us feel uncomfortable. The kitchen wasn't very clean.
Pros: Super nive stuff, if you are on your way from Costa Rica to Bocas del Toro, spend a night here and buy your food in the town. Its way cheaper than on the island or in Costa Rica. Its a lovely place, good atmosphere!
Pros: Very clean
Pros: The roof deck with shared TV, KItchen and Fridge. The owners well nice and friendly.
Cons: Actually situated 2kms south of Changuinola Town in Torres Bluff. Torres Bluff is very quiet with few restaurants / bars - you are a bit isolated if you do not have transport. I booked a Twin Room with 2x Twin beds for 5 nights but I was put into a small dorm room with 3 single beds for the 1st 3 nights. For the last 2 nights, I was put into the room that I had actually booked. The Dorm Room and Twin Room share an ensuite bathroom. The shower leaked and puddled the bathroom floor. If the other room forgot to re-open the locks, you got locked out of the bathroom.
Pros: It was a packed holiday weekend. The hostel had activities and everyone was invited to attend. Barbecue was delicious and a good price.
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpfull.
Cons: I did not expect to have to pay to rent towels or to buy soap. The shower had no hot water. The price was $3 more than stated on the website. And the hostel was very far from town.
Pros: common room upstairs
Cons: chlorine odour jn the room
Pros: Fantastic staff! Really warm people who run this place
Pros: Good people
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, listen to nature and enjoy reading a book or just chill… well, then that’s clearly NOT the place to be! Claudia and her sons are nice and welcoming people. However, they clearly have no idea what comprises to run such a place. Let alone the responsabilities they actually have towards their guests.
Cons: Any decent hostel in this world has a house rule suggesting silence after 10.00pm. Not here, as this is only partly a hostal. The other part of the business is the open event area - atop the dorms! If you’re as “lucky“ as I was, you‘ll have people (and not the fun kind of people you'd fancy to party with) and their screaming kids trampling on your head from early in the afternoon and – apparently – partaking in chair-pulling contests right through your brain until way after midnight. There is no whatsoever way to enjoy your stay as there is nowhere left to retreat to! Once it finally turns quiet, their dogs and those in the neighbourhood will entertain you through the night. That’s until heavy traffic picks up shortly after 6.00 o’clock on the adjacent main road. Should fatigue take it’s toll and you finally faint into deep unconsciousness, don’t worry, there will always be someone shouting around for no valid reason in front of your room about an hour later...
